‘UNRWA also acknowledged on Thursday that Hamas fired into the Beit Hanoun area, where the agency’s school was hit, according to Israel’s Channel 2 News.’
But not according to the BBC who didn’t report UNRWA saying that….nor did they report this….
‘The Israel Defense Forces has counted at least 100 rockets fired by Hamas as striking within Gaza.’
But of course we all know, thanks to the BBC, that Hamas’ ‘homemade contraptions’ are harmless….so this couldn’t possibly be down to them……..
Some sort of explosive weapon has hit a school in Gaza, the BBC says it was a ‘shell’….only the Israelis use ‘shells’…..
Gaza UN school shelter hit, ‘killing 15’
At least 15 people were killed and more than 200 injured when a UN-run school used as a shelter in Gaza came under fire, Gazan health officials say.
Palestinian families were in the school in Beit Hanoun, fleeing Israel’s offensive against Hamas militants.
Correspondents say pools of blood lay on the ground in the courtyard of the school in Beit Hanoun, and there was a large scorch mark where it appeared a shell had hit.
Chris Gunness, a spokesman for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees (Unrwa), also said the Israeli army had been formally given the co-ordinates of the shelter in Beit Hanoun.
There is a clear implication that the Israeli army did this despite the BBC reporting this:
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that …….”In the course of the afternoon, several rockets launched by Hamas from within the Gaza Strip landed in the Beit Hanoun area. The IDF is reviewing the incident,” it said.
Not only does the BBC not report that UNRWA confirms Hamas rockets fell short but it doesn’t report that UNRWA also confirmed that it had been warned to evacuate the area…the BBC instead preferring to say UNRWA ‘also said the Israeli army had been formally given the co-ordinates of the shelter in Beit Hanoun.‘ That is clearly meant to imply the Israelis hit the school despite knowing its exact location.
The BBC doesn’t bother with this:
Both the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Chris Guinness, the UNRWA spokesman, confirm that the IDF had asked UNRWA to evacuate the Beit Hanoun school (Hamas’ official position on the strike is not yet clear). The IDF was planning to target what it claimed were nearby Hamas rocket launchers.
Others choose to highlight it could have been a Hamas rocket…note once again Hamas prevents evacuation:
IDF Says Bombing, Deaths at Gaza UNRWA School May be From Hamas Rocket Falling Short
“During the afternoon a battle took place between Hamas terrorists and IDF forces in the Beit Hanoun area. Besides that, we indeed have indications that rockets fell in the vicinity, fired by Hamas from within Gaza in the Beit Hanoun vicinity,” the spokesman said.
Later in the evening, the IDF tweeted that “Last night, we told Red Cross to evacuate civilians from UNRWA’s shelter in Beit Hanoun btw 10 am & 2 pm. UNRWA & Red Cross got the message.”
“Hamas prevented civilians from evacuating the area during the window that we gave them,” they army said in a second tweet, adding that “Today Hamas continued firing from Beit Hanoun. The IDF responded by targeting the source of the fire.”
UNRWA also acknowledged on Thursday that Hamas fired into the Beit Hanoun area, where the agency’s school was hit, according to Israel’s Channel 2 News.
Good though that the BBC gives the leader of Hamas in exile, Khaled Meshaal, plenty of airtime:
Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal told the BBC he wants a ceasefire and end to Israel’s blockade as soon as possible.
“We don’t want to be controlled by a border crossing that makes Gaza the biggest prison in the world,” Mr Meshaal, who lives in exile in Qatar, told BBC Hardtalk.
“People cannot go for medical treatment or to work. Why are the people of Gaza being punished by a slow death in the world biggest prison. This is a crime.”
““We don’t want to be controlled by a border crossing that makes Gaza the biggest prison in the world,” Mr Meshaal, who lives in exile in Qatar, told BBC Hardtalk.“People cannot go for medical treatment or to work.
Help me here is he saying he want access to Israel for work and medical treatment?

Here are a few other things the bBC isn’t telling the British public:
150 Palestinians surrender to IDF in Gaza
Dozens of Palestinian terror operatives, most of whom were said to be members of Hamas, surrendered Wednesday to IDF soldiers during raids in the southern Gaza Strip cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis. In total, 150 Palestinians were arrested, but only 70 of them who were suspected of carrying out terror attacks were transferred under tight security to IDF Intelligence and Shin Bet facilities for interrogation, an IDF spokeswoman told The Times of Israel, adding to 28 operatives already captured. The remaining detainees were later released, Army Radio reported.
Top Hamas officer rumored killed by IDF
According to the IDF, 210 Palestinian operatives have been killed by Israeli forces since the ground incursion began on Thursday night, among them several high-ranking Hamas officers, including the commander of the group’s surveillance unit.

Not to be beheaded?…or burned alive?….tsk….
This will never do, the BBC only supports organisations that behead and burn their POW’s.

A letter to Obama … An address to the US president on the situation in the Middle East, Hamas and the UN Human Rights Council.
Dear President Barack Obama,
You are the leader of the free world. Here in the Middle East, where we live, freedom is running out.

Comment: UN Human Rights Council’s unbridled hypocrisy toward Israel
No signs of imminent truce, as Netanyahu signals Hamas demands are unrealistic
Countries and entire regions are falling into the hands of brain-washed, hate-filled extremists, who slaughter anyone who doesn’t think the same way they think or agree with all their religious beliefs. Look at what’s happening in Syria, Iraq, in the Sinai Desert and many other places.
You know full well, Mr. President, that in its war against Hamas, Israel embodies the forces of light, and Hamas the forces of darkness.
A veritable Gunfight at the OK Corral, where the good guy takes on the bad guy.
But let’s put politics aside for a moment, ignore the background noise and the failed peace process. Let’s not mention Binyamin Netanyahu.
Most of the Israeli public genuinely supports peace, and I am one of a large number willing to make painful concessions to achieve peace, with a Palestinian state alongside the State of Israel.
Let’s not forget that the most popular person in Israel, way ahead of any others, is our former president, Shimon Peres (whose term in office ended on Thursday).
The ultimate prophet of peace.
All this must now be pushed to the sidelines. At the moment we are in a war for our lives against an adversary that calls for our destruction and holds this mission as holy religious project.
Hamas is not willing to conduct negotiations, doesn’t recognize existing arrangements, openly supports the annihilation of Israel and calls for throwing the citizens of Israel into the sea. At the same time, Hamas oppresses an entire population, treats women as inferior objects, and persecutes Christians while building an empire of terror and an army of fighters dedicated to holy war.
You know, Mr. President, that I am not depending on a list of slogans here. Hard facts are being revealed to us daily.
On Wednesday, Mr. President, we learned that the United Nations Human Rights Committee ordered the establishment of a commission of inquiry to study “war crimes” committed by Israel in Gaza. The last time this happened was when the Goldstone Committee dealt Israel’s reputation a worldwide blow that was no less than disastrous. Eventually, Richard Goldstone himself regretted the report that bore his name, but it was too late to make a difference.
Today, Mr. President, it is happening again. And it mustn’t be allowed.
Actually, several things have happened since Operation Cast Lead in January 2009, which brought us Goldstone. New organizations have come into being, such as the Islamic State group that is currently terrorizing Syrians, Iraqis and Jordanians. The Sunni Islamist Jabhat al-Nusra front is making its presence felt.
Al-Qaida is rearing its head. Hezbollah is still spoiling for war.
The enlightened world has begun to understand that what we have here is not a war for an independent Palestinian state, but a war of destruction. A war of cultures.
Yes, we all know that the UN Human Rights Council is a flyby- night body with an automatic majority against Israel. It is dumb and unintelligent and motivated mainly by hate, perhaps even anti-Semitism. Which doesn’t mean we have to put up with all this. We appeal to you, Mr. President to make your voice heard as leader of the free world. To defend us. To stand up for sanity, against the forces of evil. To distinguish between the good guys and the bad. Between human beings and wild animals.
As a journalist, Mr. President, I spend a lot of time in the field.
This week I saw a 14-year-old Palestinian girl from Gaza being evacuated in an IDF tank to a hospital in Israel. Yesterday, she and her mother were interviewed by Israeli TV, from inside the safety of an Israeli hospital. They spoke of the fair treatment, the excellent care and devotion they received, and described the soldiers who had saved them as “brave and fair.” Their faces were covered, for fear of being harmed when they return to their homes in Gaza and into the arms of Hamas. Our hospitals are full of wounded Palestinians.
By the way, it is not this way only during wartime. Palestinian babies and children receive life-saving treatment in Israel on a daily basis. That never deters Hamas, which even fires at the power station that supplies Gaza with electricity. Even the fact that the only border crossing between Gaza and the outside world is in Israel and that even today, all the provisions, food, medicines and equipment needed in Gaza come via Israel, does not confuse Hamas, which continues with its plan to annihilate Israel.
Yesterday, Hamas fired on the field hospital Israel established in Shejaia, a facility which only treats wounded Palestinians. Hamas did this in retaliation for the IDF’s attack on Wafa Hospital in the same neighborhood. The only, small difference is that Wafa Hospital is a launching pad for missiles and anti-tank rockets aimed at us. We have it on film. Just like the footage we have of them concealing missiles in schools belonging to UNRWA. Just as they place launch sites and rocket arsenals next to homes, parks and schools. They hide behind their civilians.
In recent years they have not built so much as a single bomb shelter in Gaza, shelters that could save the lives of many civilians.
Instead, they built dozens of underground tunnels from which to attack Israel and try to destroy it.
During the first 10 days of this war, the IDF lost 10 soldiers. In American terms, this is equivalent to 1,600 dead US servicemen.
Some of them, like the three paratroopers killed Wednesday, dead because the Israeli Air Force refused to attack a specific target for fear of hurting civilians.
Instead, the paratroopers entered a booby-trapped house and were blown up.
You no doubt know, Mr. President, of other Western armies that would have used different means to solve situations such as these.
But we are Jews and Israelis, Mr. President, and we are denied such measures. Our hands are bound by phony moral excuses, and we are obliged to continue sacrificing our soldiers.
You are aware, Mr. President, that Israel withdrew from every last inch of Gaza in 2005. Israel gave peace a chance. Instead of peace, we got war and war again.
You know that Hamas refused to join any cease-fire Israel agreed to. We agreed to a cease fire even though, under the current circumstances, this would have been tantamount to an Israeli defeat.
Hamas seeks to wreak death, to terrorize, to continue to brainwash those whose brains are not already drenched with uncompromising hatred.
Mr. President, Hamas must be stopped. For this to happen, the UN Human Rights Council must be stopped first. Someone has to stand up and tell the world the truth. That someone, Mr. President, ought to be you. Only you.
Because you are the only one they’ll believe.

Another dreadful, one-sided “interview”. The almost personal anger here from Emily Maitlis is shocking.
I like this guy Mark Reger though, he’s excellent at handling the vile bias from the BBC chubs.

As Emily is Jewish I assume she works harder to prove her anti Israel credentials but it makes her appear more stupid than normal. Of course Mishal Hussein doesn’t bother to hide where her sympathies lay.

I`m finding that the Israeli spokesmen are blasting back at their BBC interrogators like Maitlis and Humphrys.
I now turn up the volume if I see an Israeli spokesman answering back….they`re not as nasty and personal as they need to be-but Wark, Maitlis and Humphrys have all been scorched in the past few days.
Fat good it will do Israel though…they don`t listen or learn at all-mere ritual pantomine for the chattering classes.

For some strange reason I watched BBC “News” at 10pm.
The “news” from Gaza was not news but propaganda…their own and Hamas.
The BBC is a dangerous organisation not only for Israel and Jews but others who live in the UK who watch and believe. The BBC carries out brainwashing on a daily basis not only via it’s “News” but every other programme that it broadcasts where it does not miss an opportunity to spread its hideous malicious Marxist pro-Islamist agenda. I keep asking myself is it just the BBC or are their other unseen forces outside the BBC that are directing its output?
As a UK Jew I am fearful of the future for Jews in the UK. Antisemitism is on the rise again, I also strongly believe that particularly the BBC and other news media are strongly contributing to this. I do wonder how much Arab money is involved in the news media anti Israel bias.

There have been numerous occasions in the present Gaza conflict where the BBC has abused Israel – by misdescribing what is really happening, by inaccurate web articles, and by the dismissive sneering tone of some of its interviews. The cumulative effect is very large and is bound to have serious effects – not just in the UK, but around the world on the World Service.
Last night – the sneering blame-casting of Emily Maitles on Newsnight. .On the World Service early this morning, around 5am, there was a long session on Gaza – with major errors of fact or omitted fact, ignorant or malevolent presenters. Later on this morning – the appalling tone and non-realism of John Humphrys.
On and on it goes, daily cycles of bias and inaccuracy. Far too many instances for us to record here. Bile against Israel on every BBC channel, every day.

Quite remarkable, the aggressive Emily Maitlis forcibly putting what she, unbelievably, sees as a relevant point that Israel has a defensive system, the iron dome, which is effective against the rockets of Hamas while Hamas does not and that in her twisted mind means the hundreds of Hamas rockets being fired daily on Israeli communities is no real threat whereas the Israeli response is unduly aggressive. She was not interested in the fact that Israel gave warnings of impending attack on Hamas positions and gave time for civilians to evacuate. She chose to ignore the fact that Hamas did not allow them to, making them stay in danger to be used as a propaganda device and with the BBC readily taking this up it is proving to be a very effective strategy. So what if Israel did not have the iron dome ? It is a means of defense not attack, Would the BBC be happy if Israel stopped using it and allowed the rocket bombardment to reek havoc and death on the civilian Israeli communities ? The BBC are ignoring Ban Ki-Moon’s first statement that the UN condemn the firing of rockets into Israel by Hamas and it must stop now.

It is time to regard the BBC and it’s fellow travellers as irrevocably opposed to Israel’s continued existence and by extension to the concept of a place of refuge for Jews.
it has shown it’s true colours.
There is no point in complaining to your enemy. That is what the BBC is and for that I will never take notice of it again.

The more the IDF degrades the ability of Hamas to conduct terrorist attacks, the more hysterical the BBC gets.
For the BBC this has little or nothing to do with ‘civilian casualties’ and everything to do with the destruction of Islamic terror, because if it were, then the BBC would long ago have been carted off to A&E with an apoplectic seizure over the death and destruction occurring in Syria and northern Iraq.
No, this is nothing to do with ‘civilian casualties and everything to do with the double standards hypocrisy that pervades all of the BBC and the cosy little relationship between the likes of Bowen and the former BBC ‘journalist’ Chris Gunness, now liar-in-chief for the UNRWA.
