      Nice to see the rats in a sack level is being maintained nicely, and all via promotion from within.

      On his ‘them vs. us’ claim, that does appear mostly internal too.

      Because while the awash with dosh aspects are pretty eye-watering at times of austerity, it may be things like the division he heads up being called ‘news’ when they see, hear and ‘report’ only what suits, that has a bearing on the damage to reputation too.

      Jeremy Bowen has brought the attention of the public back to the issue of his corporation’s waste in regard to bumper payouts, stating it has caused massive damage. For now we’ll ignore the ‘massive damage he has done himself with regard to total anti-Israel bias, although no doubt the Islamists will be indebted to him.

      What I’m curious about is why he’s suddenly brought this issue back into the public consciousness.
      No doubt we’ll find out his motive in due course. Something is definitely going on here.

    BBC Director General Tony Hall proves that he’s everything I’ve ever perceived him to be with the following declaration.
    He insists that ‘journalists ‘acted appropriately’ in coverage of police raid’.
    And how does he justify that?
    ‘Because media has right to report on matters of public interest’

    Bear in mind that Richard has brought pleasure to the public in a non offensive way for half a century. For the time being any allegations are unproven, and according to law a man is innocent until proved guilty. If ever the police actually found any incriminating evidence then it might be in the public interest then. All the BBC have done is make any investigation more complex with those who want to jump on the ‘celebrity’ wagon and get in the limelight by making spurious charges, as well as souring the life of a man that might be completely innocent.

    Let’s not forget the BBC initially justified the Ross/Brand insult to Andrew Sachs, as if that too was publicly desirable.
    They really show they have completely lost the plot and it’s well past time they were terminated as a publicly funded organisation.

      Until the BBC gets a scoop. Then it’s all “public interest” and “can’t reveal our sources – journalistic confidentiality, doncha know”. You know, exactly what the evil Murdoch empire were saying.

    The BBC have been airing all day an interview with a Frog journalist who was held captive with Mr Foley.

    Said Frog journalist is in a comfortable TV studio (or wherever) for interview, in other words, is not chained to a radiator in the arse-end of Fallujah or somewhere. Whereas Mr Foley has been separated from his head.

    Now, we hear that our Religion of Peace friends had asked for a £100m ransom for Mr Foley’s release. Frog journalist is asked how comes he is free? He says, basically that the Frog government cuts deals with terrorists, whereas the Yanks don’t. Remarkably, the interview then just moves on without further comment.

    The point here is this. We just spent a lot of money prosecuting and sending to prison a “British” female Religion of Peacer for sending circa £20,000 to Syria. Funding terrorism, see? What I want to know, and what the Uncurious BBC don’t seem interested in finding out, is, HOW MUCH DID THE FROGS PAY THESE MURDEROUS BASTARDS TO BAIL OUT THEIR JOURNALIST? I dare say it’ll be a shit-load more than any poxy twenty thousand quid.

    There might just be a story there. Worth investigating. You know, in the public interest and all that. Might even be up there with the Cliff stories of this world. I mean, our Gallic neighbours may have very significantly funded terrorism here. Say it was £10m; that buys an awful lot of kitchen knives. Maybe even a whet-stone or two for the odd moderate jihadist who wants a nice edge, to minimise suffering whilst beheading.

    Maybe, with the right evidence, European arrest warrants could be issued for Frog ministers? Maybe show trials in the Hague?

    Oh, hang on, I forgot. They’re Socialists. And Europeans, to boot. No chance of that ever happening, then.

    I have just watched Tamsin Outhwaite ‘Who Do You Think You Are’. Her great grandfather was interned on the Isle of Man as an Italian. Her grandmother twice referred to an internment camp as ‘like a concentration camp’ without any correction from anybody that it was rather different. It was decided that her great uncle chose not to join the Pioneer Corps because he didn’t want to leave his father in such a dreadful hell hole without a shred of evidence. The bleakest picture of life there was painted. Now my father was also interned on the Isle of Man about the same date….and shall we just say he didn’t have the same experience.

    I am not sure what agenda the makers were working to, but definitely a skewed one.
