The BBC’s Dominic Laurie laments the British union’s lack of commitment and fervour when compared to the Frenchies:(50 mins)
‘What we know is that workers for French companies are willing to go all out in industrial action and to prolong it and do it for a long time…Air France will have to back down if the pilots are this adamant.
As we know in the history of France when you strike for a long time you tend to win…it works!’
Peter Allen interjects….‘It used to in this country…we should remember that’.
Presumably Allen was looking back nostalgically to the era before Thatcher and the days when there was no legislation to control the wildcat strikes that destroyed British industry….good old unions in the 70’s…the interests of the workers at heart not their paymaster’s in the Kremlin….LOL.
It did seem that Laurie had just a little bit too much admiration for the French strikers and was more than a little bit rueful that such belligerent attitudes didn’t manifest themselves more here in the UK.
Good for the BBC…standing up for the oppressed and downtrodden worker!
You can always tell how the economy is doing when you can use the number of calls for strike action from our leftie friends as a barometer for the well being of the economy. The more calls for strikes, the better the economy.

Maybe the likes of this BBC fool would prefer that the unions here kidnap errant bosses…as the French have been doing in recent years.
Or…even do a Red Brigade and kill the likes of Hans Martin Schleyer once again…to recreate that exciting Red Brigade feel with Baader Meinhoff chic as of old.
Certainly these tactics might inspire the likes of Occupy to take on the bankers or filthy privateers…thereby allowing for more public sectors parasites for Red Len to represent.
The BBC-providing perpetual easy rebellion and revolution now since 1968…and no-one sees fit to stuff it all up their holes!

Given the abilities and activities at the top of Sack-o-rats Central in W1A, that may see a pre-emptive ‘please don’t’ email from Hugs (just for you, Jerry… no one else knows. It will be our little secret)

It’s a shame there was no impartial interviewer on hand to remind the imbecile of the state of the French economy.
But then, this was the BBC – how could there have been?

Whilst French pilots advance the day they are unemployed by destroying their own employer, our entrepreneurial and private Easyjet continues to prosper and fill yet more seats. Come on “low cost”, and finish off the lazy self-indulgent state-run airline. It is a deathwish of French syndicalists still living in the ’60s waving red flags.
Perhaps the French will learn the consumer is king, not bosses or workers. See what happens without a Thatcher? Its why the Liberal Left hate her so much. Her theories worked, theirs don’t.

Ah yes, the good old days when Britain was on it’s knees, the IMF were on standby waiting for the call from the Labour Government to plead for some bail out cash and Britain was laughed at around the world as The Sick Man of Europe.
And those are just the least damaging of those dire and disastrous days.
