Exactly. Fluffy wording that disguises the criteria while giving the editors the unchallengeable final decision. And we know what they will decide. Status quo ante, nothing to see here. ..

It was rather astonishing to see Dimbleby read out that particular guideline on Question Time last night.

I was wondering what his motivation was. Sounded almost like some sort of mea-culpa. Can’t be though.

Sound down, classical music on and turn round.
And over my shoulder is Kirsty having a girls night in with three Muslim women.
Two of them clearly old stagers-maybe that Cassidy, Booth creature who got kidnapped by Muslims-and then became one.
The other?…why isn`t that the one who did the circuit on Channel 4 last night?…no scarf but telling some Swedish cartoonist that he deserved his threats and grief a few years ago…you insult Mo, you get that.
Can see now why Katz would have creamed himself at this new rising star of Levesons…Muslim woman, no headscarf but obviously still fighting the Battle of Algiers every day in Paris. And now the mountain has come to Mohammad in the shape of the BBC.
We are indeed “all Sharia” now after the bloodbath-that`s how the BBC want it-that`s how Channel 4 sift the Islamic poodles and shills with only 24 hours notice in order to make it so.
If only the BBC would curl up and die.

oh yes,the biased christianaphobic bbc favours the prophet mohammed but allows countless left wing comedians to mock the prophet jesus who is sacred to the christian faith on regular basis on bbc 1 and bbc 3 in these so called comedy showcases,i mean, the head of religious affairs at the bbc just happens to be a muslim, this guy has moved songs of praise on a sunday from its regular time slot at 6.30 pm to 3.30 pm on sunday afernoon to be replaced by countryfile at 6.30 pm,christians were outraged at this but the bbc just ignored the complaints about this time change.so am i surprised that the bbc has new guidelines on the prophet mohammed but ignores the prophet jesus, not really when like i say the head of religious affairs is a muslim and the bbc are just christianaphobic from bottem to the top up.

Vaguely apropos, despite many appeals to its better nature, R4 insisted on broadcasting Hilary Mantel’s tasteless collection of short stories, “The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher”. Mantel and the R4 commissioning editors must have thought it was an achingly clever wheeze, especially if it meant sticking it (even posthumously) to the hated ex-PM.

But the result was that the title story was actually broadcast on the very day that the death toll in the terrorist outrage in France rose to 17, which just showed up Mantel’s shabby little story for the sick fantasy it is.

I’ve got to ask those responsible, Hilary Mantel and the BBC: Do you feel proud of yourselves? Well, do you? Will anyone admit that this series should not have been broadcast? Will anyone apologise? Will anyone resign?

In the light of the Islamist attacks in Paris, Fox News (much derided by leftist/liberal bien pensants) has an interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, an apostate from Islam who actually knows what she is talking about. Meanwhile, the BBC calls up some white, liberal Australian who is a “professor of Islam in the modern world”; he informs us that the French Islamists represent “the fringe of the fringe” in the Islamic world. One just has to shake one’s head in despair.

I suggest following BBC use of ‘alleged’ when referring to Paedo Mo.

We should always refer to The alleged founder of the Mohamidan religion. Or the alleged founder of Islam.
None of that nonsense about a prophet.

    • Ian Rushlow says:

Or even “alleged religion”, on the basis that it can possibly be more accurately described as a political ideology or a religious-based political ideology? At a minimum, the BBC should refer to “the Muslim prophet Mohammed”, as he is not a prophet to non-Muslims.

How about: “The so-called Prophet of Islam”, or: “A prophet, some say, of so-called Islam”.

Would be in line with BBC policy of casting vagueness over everything, i.e. still calling the muslim terrorists from the French sieges ‘suspects’, ‘gunmen’, etc etc.

I myself prefer to think of Mo as a ghoulish fairytale character with no more foundation in reality than Goldilocks, but no chance of the BBC alluding to such truths.

The Muslim SF’s stormtroops have certainly been following his junctures in Paris.
If the BBC is right about the muslims’ moderation and feelings of solidarity with French liberal values then we might expect millions of them to turn up at the “I am a Charlie” demonstration today with cartoons of the prophet. Of course it won’t happen. It is tenent of Islam that it is blssphemous to depict the prophet The Muslim Superfacist wins again ably supported by the “je suis Ahmeds” at the BBC who have been trying to make charlies of us for decades.

Listening now to “From Our Own Correspondent” is on now.
Just heard the very best of BBC reporting from Hugh Schofield in Paris.
Of course, it`s not what WE seek-I myself take my steer on Islam from the likes of Bill Warner, David Wood and Robert Spencer…strong meat, fact based and scriptural.
But Hugh clearly had knowledge of a France I myself wasn`t privileged enough to have seen when young.
But that`s class war of the Left, not mine.
Schofield did as good a job on Charlie Hebdo as i`ve heard on this weak white horse of ours(BBC)…personal and showed he knew something of how France might feel.
Now it`s Pegida…not listening because it`s Jenny Hill-the moron I heard on the Dresden demo on BBC news the other night.
Yet-even SHE sounds more measured, thoughtful than her agitprop crap spouted live or for the telly. Presumably demanding a Nuremburg Rally look to spook the rest of us.
But it`s the BBC-so we`re not fooled any more.
My point?…am I right in thinking that Kate Adies little oasis of reflection this morning is due to the facts that
    1. Kate is no career arcing poppet needing a contract for next year…but an experienced journalist with the medals and strength of mind not to tow any BBC line she`ll have been thrown.
    2. FOOC has a history, isn`t a flagship of PC opinion, not a vehicle for the likes of Mason or Maitlis…but still has a few world contacts who can actually tell me something new, unusual or untainted by Common Purpose group thinking.
    2. Mid-morning Saturday , repeated at any random hour in a 24 hour cycle, links with the World Service…in other words, not a priority to Tristram, Ed1/2/3, Harriet or Vince…so they can get away with it.
Final point-in Schofields piece he mentions the word ISLAM FOUR times in one extended sentence about who did this assassination in Paris…first time I`ve heard the BBC do this…
If nothing else, I`ll know now that one Hugh Schofield is not ALWAYS the BBC patsy that the telly wing of his employing Lime Green Grovers and Groovers. Pastel Nazis who`d wear the black SS leather had it been not obtained from those poor cowzy-wowzies?
Oh fudge- Kate is setting us all up for global warming to end the show?….ah well, let`s be grateful for that one sentence shall we?…normal service is now back!

Th Week In Westminster was as crap as FOOC was decent.
The Week in Westminster(Sat 10.1.15 /11.00 R4) featured some cringing Labour nomark from the last Labour abortion-the Brown Nose Era-Fiona MacTaggert-telling me that her Muslim constituents are “shocked I tellsya” by what happened in Paris.
Her mealy mouthed platitudes and jihad denials were typical Beebthink…have led us to all this…and the fusty Tory lady in the Lords up against her was equally happy to apologise for Islamic terrorism…”that would be an ecumenical matter” and all that.
Worse thing that MacTaggert said was her citing of a possible means of defence…the “Charlie Hebdo defence”…WHAT?
What kind of f****in use is THAT?…and how DARE she use the words “Charlie Hebdo” and “defence” in the same sentence?
Methinks that most of the hacks enjoying the freebies in Paris are getting their rocks off in how best to pronounce the name of the comic-in Gallic competition for that authentic French accent-and not actually asking REAL people what they thought of the murders-not what the BBC like to think they might think.
As the likes of Cameron and MacTaggert, Nevil Jones choose to sit “on defence”…we`re getting our throats marked with dotted lines by the political class…and Nevil Jones says as much!

I followed-up the same programme over on the main open thread – and for much the same reasons, MacTaggart is a disgrace – one of the people who indirectly brought about the dire situation this country is in. She should have been held to account for that by the presenter but, of course, the woman from the GuradianGraph seemed entirely on-side with her.

Baroness Pauline Nevile-Jones seemed strangely subdued for a ‘security expert’ too, I thought. Another one reluctant to speak the truth, clearly.

    • Tom Jones says:

BBC needs to recognise the difference between facts and ideas.
A black man is a black man – this cannot be changed. To call him a N is to demean his physical identity.
A Muslim is a human (fact) with a set of ideas. It is the ideas which are being challenged.
No ideas are sacred and above scrutiny and possible ridicule.
To do so is to set limits on our capacities and capabilities as humans.
Knowledge advances by forensic enquiry and applied intelligence.
Setting boundaries in the realm of ideas on thought, speech and writing is against our, hard won, freedom as Europeans.

Perhaps BBC ought to be reminded of this.

      • Ian Rushlow says:

Alternatively: we cannot change our race or gender and that’s why it is wrong to discriminate on those factors, particularly as they have little relevance in most areas of human experience. However, we can exercise choice over what religion or ideology we follow, and as such can and should be subject to intellectual challenge and yes, ridicule, if those views impact other people. If your religion means you cannot drink alcohol, fine, I respect it. But if your religion means that I cannot drink alcohol (or eat pork. Or wear clothes of my choice. Or see cartoons. Whatever.) then there is a big problem and if you are in my country then it is you that has to adapt.

  19. Doublethinker says:

BBC is still flogging its Islamaphobia agenda but we didn’t expect anything else. They have allies in the press, Fraser Nelson and Matthew Paris , both of whom say that ‘ things will pass’ and we musn’t alienate Muslims by a backlash. Talk about heads in the sand, can’t they understand that we are making one concession after another and we will slowly be Islamised if we continue to ignore the threat posed to the West.
On PM today the BBC interviewed a Parisian rabbi who told the interviewer that he felt he was in a war of civilisations. The interviewer didn’t ask him why he thought that and who he thought the enemy was. Maybe it was obvious but surely the interviewer ought to have clarified that the enemy was in the opinion of the rabbi Muslims and Islam.
Avoiding doing so may have left some listeners with the impression that the rabbi feared the so called ‘far right’ in France. But I suppose this was his thinking and he was just following BBC policy guidelines.

Heard two Asian shills for Islam on Channel 4 News a few minutes ago.
Yes, I know it`s not the BBC-but Krishan G-M and his interviewer-his equally well-paid colleague of a similar heritage(for our purposes)-somehow blame the French for not getting that woman that they wanted re those murders at the Jewish supermarket.
That`s as maybe…but it`s all conjecture for now.
Our Muslim female shill tells us that the woman appeared to be taking Islam to extremes as she swapped a bikini for a burqa…and was happy to do so contrary to French law.
Cue the photo of the bitch…of course they`d never antagonise her with any bikini pix…but are more than happy to show her picture-pair of eyes in a slit with a gun pointing at the lens.
Wouldn`t want to use the media to show the worlds nutjobs that we`ll continue to scorch them in any way we can.
Instead Channel 4 enforce their self-censorship and all ready for the Sharia that is sure to come to them.
Couldn`t help noticing that the star victim as selected by the news is the policeman…first time I think a cop killed in the line of duty was not a pig who had it coming…
Oh wait-he was a Muslim cop!
See-Muslims are victims of Bush and Thatcher 24/7…no matter what.
This does not reduce the evil done to the poor bloke and his family-but yet again it shows that some victims are more worthy of the PC agenda than are others.
    Had the cop being Jewish….meh!
But now his brother tells us that nobody must react to what is being done to us all in the name of his Allah?…hero in uniform.let`s big up the pig…
We only burn them when Al Sharpton, Moaty or Choudhury gives permission.
    Goddam Channel 4.

INBBC’s WYATT gets it wrong on her Islamic apologetics.

The superficial INBBC chameloen, Ms WYATT, now converted seamlessly to ‘religious affairs correspondent’ from ‘defence correspondent’, gets it wrong on the nature of the threat from Islamic interests, from first sentence to last.

In her first sentence she wrongly refers to Muslims’ deity as ‘God,’ not as ‘Allah.’ She should get this correct, because Muslims believe in ‘Allahu Akba’ -Allah is the greater god. And in her final sentence, on behalf of Islamic interests, she refers to ‘Islamophobia’ not to the threat of Islamofascism.

More than one probably should ask, but what’s the betting an anonymous spokesdroid would be wheeled out on behalf of Lord Pantone to say the BBC holds others to account but does not get held. So ‘purposes of’ opacity (default position of a very not transparent bbc) applies.
