BBC London news headlines with a new leftist slogan they want us to take into common parlance “Poor Door”
The news element appears to be supplied by a few lefty protesters who have been making a fuss about a few London housing developments where the social housing element of the whole has a separate door.
Remember viewers we call this the “Poor Door”
Must be a slow day for news events in the capital because the second item is a press release – or survey – or somesuch from Shelter (that’s a left leaning campaign ‘charity’ that tries to alter public policy towards the left- once upon a time it raised public donations to help the homeless).
So today’s agenda is pretty clear. Housing.
And once again to be sure you have this right…. “Poor Door”
I dearly wish that the man on the Clapham omnibus, eventually reaches his destination, safely debuses, and goes on his way. Does he have some kind of Rover ticket? Or perhaps no home to go to? Either way, his fellow passengers appear have become mighty sick of him, and his wittering. Perhaps a ticket inspector will board, soon, and turf him off.
Although we know he is retired he may be one of those who have done well for themselves and “retired” early so we cannot unfortunately say whether he rides around using his bus pass or not.
I wonder how many who would not have been seen dead on a bus suddenly became converts with Gordon’s splashing of our cash.
Good socialist idea to help poor people get to the shops and hospital appointments etc.
In my area a look at the queue joining the express bus to the seaside sees few people actually paying.
Indeed the local paper headlined one pensioner who took a total of 6 buses weekly to travel to the seaside for his fish and chips. So thats 6 x the average single fare taxpayers are stumping up.
I bet Gordon’s advisers never anticipated anything like what it is costing, but then we Brits love something that someone else pays for.
Damn. I’ve typed Labour’s philosophy for appealing to voters again.
OMO bus driver has been a busy little bod this morning, post on this thread timed at 7-48, 7-51, 7-53, 8-01, (then fag break) 8-20, 8-23, ( quick trip to the bogs ) 8-40, 8-48 and 8-58 and then clock off at the bus station at 9-00. Job done and home to bed. I might have missed a few and I didn’t look at other threads. All in all a busy beeboid troll.
On the sofa this morning more serious faces as parents on a crusade whine that DLA care & mobility components were reduced after 84 days in hospital. Sadly their child has passed away but once again a one sided story about the “horrid” benefits system. Obviously well you can assume that care is provided by the hospital so has been the case since I worked in DHSS in the early 80s some benefits have been withdrawn after a set period as it is assumed you are fed (well dubious these days) and care is provided during a period in hospital. Did sofa sloths say well do you expect to carry on getting the same amount whilst your son was in hospital long term? No. Did they go into even a superficial explanation of the benefits workings not really.

Come on now. Letting truth get in the way of a good story at the BBC ….
