Andrew Marr, poor chap, visibly favours one hand – let’s wish him well.
The BBC political show that he presents visibly favours the Left – let’s consign the BBC to the dustbin.
There are three elements to this show. Firstly, the Sunday newspaper review.
The idea that Matthew Parris combined with Helen Lewis of the Guardian/New Stateman in any way shape or form represent a cross-section of opinion in this country is risible. The cushy London liberal elite bubble talks to the London bubble inside the London cushy bubble broadcaster. The only surprise here is that Helen has to put down her Twitter for a moment.
Next, the big interviews.
A real Andy-pandy namby-pamby with Len McCluskey. The big bruiser hardly need break sweat. Frankly there’s little Red Andy really disagrees with. Sadly our Len will be the only political guest or commentator not an Oxbridge man (or anti-man in our Helen’s case?) this morning.
Cameron gets more of a grilling with the BBC seemingly taking up the standard of tax credits. By the way, the BBC handily warns us – by way of telling us – there’s a demo due to be held in Manchester later today – be there or be square, you square eyes! Why don’t you turn off your tv set and go and do something less boring instead?
On the subject of the EU where Cameron deserves a grilling Andy gives us more of a whimper than a bang.
And so to culture – lest we forget there’s many a prong to this cultural marxism thing.
So we meet today’s luvvie – Mark Rylance. Naturally Andy Marr tries to do the BBC trick of getting the actor or musician to say something quotable and leftwing. Andy temps our Mark to say something anti-Holywood but having spent so much time as the wily Cromwell he’s hardly going to say something daft that bites the hand that might feed.
And I guess that’s exactly the reason why the BBC – this public sector monolith run by the Oxbridge liberal elite – can never make a balanced political show.
Consider this scenario ………………..
A company called AlBeeb supplying customers with a popular ‘product’, having a substantial number of its older employees facing an increasing retirement age before they can ‘get out’. To these ‘old codgers’ the attraction of a ‘golden handshake’ redundancy payment and pension would be very attractive, to say the least.
On the other hand, the same company also has an equally large element of its workforce being young, university educated, radical, somewhat left-wing and anti establishment struggling to gain control of the corporation.
Does the older element deliberately ‘turn a blind eye’ and relinquish control of the company in the hope that the public that consume its product pull the plug – thus releasing a redundancy a ‘windfall’?
Sunday Morning Live entertained us with an extraordinarily arrogant, though sadly somewhat confused, Darcus Howe this morning. Of course, as you’d expect, Darcus lectured us all on our racism and had a bit of a spat with Jon Gaunt about just how racist we all are. This really is becoming an unhealthy obsession with the Beeb. When I get the time I’m going to sit down with a calculator and work out just how much of our money the BBC spend on proving how racist we are. It must be a bloody fortune. The umpire in this squabble, the dishy Sian Williams, became quite flustered when “Gaunty” tried to bring up real racism, ie the dreadful rapings of young white girls by Muslim men that the BBC (and the rest) did its best to ignore for decades.
But what really got my curried goat was when an increasingly incoherent Darcus mentioned the “New Cross Fire” that killed (I think) 13 young black people who had been enjoying a party. This tragedy has been mythologised by racist rappers, dangerous lefties and it’s still being promoted by our state broadcaster. The myth being that “evil white racists are burning our children.” It’s nonsense. Forensic evidence clearly showed that the fire started inside the house (where there were no whites) when a sofa caught fire, possibly due to a discarded cigarette butt.
There were no white racists, no petrol through the letter box, it was a dreadful and tragic accident. Did anyone taking part in today’s debate mention any of this or did they let this poisonous and foul lie continue to fester.?
What do you think…
I have posted this before, but I have travelled quite a bit and lived and worked in 4 overseas countries, none in Europe, apart from Ukraine. In my experience the least racist people in the world the British. The question I would ask the retards at the BBC and their fellow travellers is ” Are there any people in the world who are more racist than the British ? “.
Grant
As a fellow who has also travelled the globe….
There is a large queue of foreign people in Calais, all trying to get in to this so-called ‘racist’ country .
I think it was Grace Jones who said ‘Anyone who thinks England is racist has never been to France.’
A feature of totalitarian thought systems, whether religious or secular, is that one can inadvertently break the rules at any time, without even realising it. Eg in ‘1984’, Smith’s neighbour is denounced as a ‘thought criminal’ by his own children, and he is grateful to them because he says otherwise he would not even have known of his crime.
This is the same approach the BBC takes with ‘racism’. Are we racist, without even realising it? In an earlier age, the Beeboids would have been on their knees in church, wondering whether they had ‘done those things which we ought not to have done’ and picking over every aspect of their lives in case they had somehow sinned without realising.
How about this idea- the indigenous peoples of whatever country, or, even area,of said country, have a particular “way”. So,if that “way” is suddenly challenged by newcomers, and the people are forcibly encouraged to accept “new cultures” , guess what? tension ensues. Its not rascism at all,i would suggest its people not taking kindly to imported cultures and their associated issues.
The trial of Britain on grounds of racism, misogyny and other character-crimes is in formal terms similar to the pursuit of witches – if one admits one is guilty, one is indeed guilty; if one refuses to admit one is guilty, one is guilty not only of the crime as accused, but also of wilful deception, and moreover of self-deception.
In situations of this kind, the outcome depends solely on the relative power of accuser and accused. It is similar to an act of rape, as an act of power exercised without morality.
Sunday Morn Live BBC1
Is Britain Racist? …
Goes straight into conversation with a Muslim spokesman … Islam is an Ideology?
BBC again isn t able to distinguish … fundamentally flawed argument.
Then onto a video clip with … a Muslim girl complete with hijab talking about … racism??
Islam is an ideology!! that IS racist to other races.
Goes onto the twitterati/email board up pops a girl who whens she s wearing her hijab ….
for crying out LOUD … Islam is an ideo … oh I give up … there is no helping you BBC
Darkus Howe is on …
In black history month … does he recall this?
Consistent racism on blacks (or could be Jewish people, or our own white nationals) yes genuine races … by Muslims
If he does … he might not mention it… selective memory and all that
What about Howe’s disastrous live interview on Al Beebus, after the London riots a while back?
I remember him bleating: “How dare you disrespect an elderly Jamaican man?” Or some such rot, when he was asked some (perfectly valid) questions, which he found to be discomfiting.
A completely hypocritical tw@t.
Darcus (you couldn’t make that name up!) Howe’s brain was probably fried long ago by ‘passing the Dutchie on the left-hand side’, or some such spiritually enriching activity; I wouldn’t listen to a word he says.
” Darcus Howe has been married three times and has seven children. The 2005 Channel 4 documentary Son of Mine examines Howe’s relationship with his 20-year-old son Amiri, who faced jail for charges related to stolen passports.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darcus_Howe
Here is a joke for Darcus. Robert Mugabe was asked in an interview ” The Russians put the first man into space, the Americans landed the first man on the moon. What are Africans going to do ? “. Mugabe replies “Put the first man on the sun “. Interviewer ” But the sun is too hot “. Mugabe ” We shall do it at night ! “.
It can’t be racist because it was told to me today by a black African friend who lives in Uganda ! Where I live in Gambia, racism is not an issue except among a small minority of race hustlers. The bigger issue is the West Indians who come here doing the “Roots” thing and treat the native Africans like scum. Interestingly, the Black Americans who come are very polite and treat the locals with respect. Darcus is not welcome !
Of course there are racial tensions in multicultural Britain. I used to be pleased with how much our society had done to eradicate racism by about 2004-6…. but then I noticed a massive change beginning to occur. We had reached a point where white Brits were denouncing genuine racism and acting with genuine tolerance and acceptance of other cultures. BUT, there is nothing for the lefties to moan and attack in that lot, and so I began to notice that more and more of the immigrants coming in, were, in fact, racist. The left never acknowleged this, and incidents of racism were always blamed on ignorant white Brits.
So now racism is increasing?
What do you expect when sancatomious “anti-racist” lefties import thousands and thousands of racists from overseas? Racist incidents go up, but the myopic idiotic lefty “anti-racists” cannot accept that it has anything to do with thousands and thousands of racists they imported from abroad, so it must be the incredibly tolerant white British who are racist, and if they do not come out massively and overtly in favour of every other minority ethnic group (yes even the racist ones) then the white British are simply assumed to be racist. Statistics which prove most racist incidents are committed by non-British and non-whites? Irrelevant! The lefties NEED these racist attacks to use as a reason for continuing to attack the white British population.
A few years ago, I would not have even considered using the phrase “White British” as that brings attention to skin-colour and is, in a small-way, racist. However, since the “White British” appear to be the ONLY ethnic group in this country which is allowed to be racially attacked, discriminated against and receive almost no protection in law at all, I am forced into defending MY race and MY culture from the racist bigots on the left who determine everything in terms of bigoted, racist, sexist identity politics.
Video: Australia
Muslim was “dancing joyously,” screaming “Allahu akbar” as he murdered police official http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/10/video-australia-muslim-was-dancing-joyously-screaming-allahu-akbar-as-he-murdered-police-official
Before we get the Al BBC version
“Pat Gooley from the NSW Police Association said:
“We are used to being under threat. What’s really concerning police is there’s no rhyme or reason to these current terror threats.” … No rhyme or reason? … Have you ever heard of jihad, Mr. Gooley? Evidently not.
Other police officials, meanwhile, are busy making sure that Farhad Jabar Khalil Mohammad’s jihad murder doesn’t lead anyone to think there is anything amiss with the Muslim community.
The murder “was doubly shocking because it was perpetrated by a 15-year-old boy and it underlines the importance of families, communities, leaders being very aware of whether young people are becoming radicalised,” said Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, complacently assuming that Muslim “families, communities, leaders” in Australia are against this “radicalization” … but where is the evidence of that? “
BBC … its a boy!
“Australian police say they believe a 15-year-old boy who killed a civilian police employee in Sydney had
… links to terrorism.
The teenage boy was killed by New South Wales police on Friday after he gunned down the worker at close range outside the state police headquarters.
Police say the boy, who was of Iraqi-Kurdish heritage, probably acted alone.”
The ever growing International society of “Lone Wolves”? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-34431926
Police say the boy, who was of Iraqi-Kurdish heritage, probably acted alone.”
Iraqi-Kurdish heritage.I like that. Its like those tens of thousands of “Pakistani heritage” men who brutally gang raped tens of thousands of young White girls.
Did anybody have the misfortune to watch Dr Who on Saturday?
I watch as Mrs Will watches – although I do believe even she is losing faith. It’s “way too clever for one’s own good plots” AKA “utter shite” are becoming even too hard for her to bear.
I disgress – my post was to share the chuckle I always afford myself with the muticulti/gender equality/ethnically diverse Utopia that always seems to be the make up of the Dr Who cast.
So this episode opened up with a crew of sorts working at some plant; we had the black, the white, the Asian and the North African, as well as the laydees (natch).
But this week we were also treated to a deaf crew member who communicated via sign language.
Nothing wrong with that of course, but it’s just the sense that this is all part of the deliberate ploy to brainshwash the public into subscribing to the same politically correct crap pushed continuously by the Beeb, that pisses one off.
I wonder how many “ethnics” in the UK actually find the BBC’s patronising attitude to them insulting ? I imagine they would be too polite or fearful to speak out.
“So this episode opened up with a crew of sorts working at some plant; we had the black, the white, the Asian and the North African, as well as the laydees (natch).”
That comment reminds me of that Ad on the tele, where EVERYONE pays PAYE ! It shows several factory floors and retail workplaces, with the face nearest the camera is anything but white.
I think Lenin originated the term – the BBC should only really claim to be following it to the letter, and if they did assert original ownership of the concept, I guess a complaint would be in order.
This sort of covert (although it’s hard not to notice it these days) brainwashing is all too common nowadays in most of the BBC’s drama. ITV and Sky aren’t much better. There is next to nothing worth watching on the TV any more and unless there is some sporting event on, I’m lucky if I watch more than an hour a week of TV. I tend to use Netflix and other online sites to watch stuff these days.
….but it’s just the sense that this is all part of the deliberate ploy to brainshwash the public into subscribing to the same politically correct crap pushed continuously by the Beeb, that pisses one off.
Equally the number of Irish/Northern Irish/Scots amongst its population of correspondents, especially abroad. The latest ‘Hoy noy broyn coy’ recruit was reporting on a local news piece from Essex for gawd’s sake. It’s so obviously a deliberate policy – another bit of OTT PC compliance to stuff down our throats.
Keep an eye on the ever dwindling number of white males in supporting roles in Dr Who. In the first two-parter of this new series there were two speaking roles for white males compared to six for males from ethnic backgrounds and I lost count of the number of parts for women. In the current two-parter at the moment the score is white male 1, ethnic male 3, women 2. I fully expect the series to carry on in the same vein. This is blatant racism of course, doubly disturbing in a show with a large audience of children.
///But this week we were also treated to a deaf crew member who communicated via sign language///
A young lad joined the crew and asked the foreman, ‘Why’s that bloke waving his arms about?’
‘Oh, that’s Brian, he’s deaf, that’s how he talks to people’ said the foreman.
‘Ooer’ said the lad ‘so what’s he saying now?’
‘Nowt, he’s just having a sing-song!’
The BBC is probably blissfully unaware that it is becoming a caricature of itself. Either that or it is taking the P and having a laugh. At our expense !
I did watch it. I found it interesting that, being set in 2119, they had a deaf character. I would have thought that deafness would have been cured by then. Likewise, at least there were white characters; I am sure that the BBC worldview is that we will all be coffee coloured by then. But the most intriguing thing was that the underwater base was drilling for oil. Surely the BBC realises that the world will have been “decarbonised” by 2119? What are they trying to tell us?
I always wondered why, when Capt. Kirk and the crew of Enterprise, who had just transported themselves hundreds of miles from the ship to a cold planet, always wore thick woolly coats and hats!
He! he ! he ! I love it. Not many weeks ago countless voices couldn’t wait to have a microphone shoved in front of them, to exclaim they were apoplectic with rage as Cameron used the term ‘swarm’ to describe the masses crossing Europe to get to Calais. Now, every adjective from ‘swarm’ to ‘invasion’ to ‘army’ has been used by all and sundry and no-one is turning a hair ! Just shows how the media manipulates the news.
Most brilliantly of all, following the show Joan was still rightly livid at the appalling Darcus Howes’ remark that she was racist. She said words to the effect: ‘how dare he call me a racist. Listen, I was friends with Michael Jackson when he was black.’
Totally wonderful and brilliant. How come the BBC cannot find women as funny as Joan?
As for Darcus, back in the lefty 1980s he had a tiresome column in the New Statesman that every week droned on about imagined racism. Even in my Citizen Smith days I saw through his trite and lazy politics.
These days the BBC would give him a 6 part documentary on how dreadful this country is to give him a life, opportunities, fund his failed marriages, support the many kids he deserted and pay for the prison time of some off his offspring. Arsehole.
She was a rare breed – a woman comedian who was genuinely funny and witty, who was able to make fun of herself. I suspect this is because she started out in comedy long, long before it became politicised by the left and when one had to appeal across the board to succeed. A friend of mine worked with her briefly, and said she was one of the nicest people in showbusiness he’d met.
KentExpress 2005 (about the Joan Rivers argument)
“It’s about time this self appointed intellectual was brought down with a bang. I have always thought as soon as he’s backed into a corner in any debate he uses his ‘Ace Card’ of race to get himself out of a tight corner. Darcus Howe is a tw*t who for to long has got away with people being scared to question him for fear of being called a racist.
Good on you Joan.”
He is by no means the first to pull the Race card, at one time or another most people of colour use it if events don’t go their way of liking. I DO wonder if there has ever been a case of a white English pulling the race card when living in a land of ethnics, be it in Japan or China, or Africa or Jamaica !
Wasn’t it Darcus Howe who made a CH4 documentary several years ago “revealing” that most (or maybe all, if memory serves me right) gang rapes in London were committed by blacks?
It stood out as very unusual at the time. I found it surprising that a black man would make a documentary like this, although his clear concern was that most of the victims were also black.
I doubt if the silly Swedes need a documentary to “reveal” this problem.
Digression.
Everyone at the BBC is mourning the passing, the apotheosis, of the late, great, irreplaceable, Denis Healey.
Healey was a Communist, British Intelligence believed him to be a Soviet agent, with evidence for their beliefs.
Not quite enough evidence though, for a prosecution.
The same situation existed regarding Harold Wilson.
You can always trust Labour to put Internationalism before British interests.
Healey cancelled the programme to build new aircraft carriers for the Royal Navy in 1966. He thus ended Britain’s ability to operate across the world as a major power. The lack of conventional carriers was a major factor in causing the Falklands War, and even now, we are only slowly rebuilding a carrier capability. He may not have been a Soviet agent, but if he had been, he could not have done a better job.
I can remember a time when the BBC diligently strove for accuracy in everything it did and, more often than not, showed it could police itself effectively by highlighting its own errors. Admittedly, that is one of my more distant memories. Was disappointed, but not surprised, to read this about a recent nature programme: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-34437703
It might seem a relatively trivial issue but the attitude of the producer is very telling. The fact the viewer was lied to does not matter, it is the overall message that is important. Therein lies the problem.
Yes indeed, this is reminiscent of the Brownshirts, no reasoning, just action and violence urged on by their leaders.
But a word to Cameron: your chickens are coming home to roost. You supported the SWP in its guise as UAF, you and your police force were quite happy to see UKIP meetings picketed by violent loons and saw Farage and family besieged by the mob. We do not need laws to outlaw this behaviour – just apply the ones we already have and clear the streets when the protests turn violent. Or Mr Cameron, are you hoping that the mob will support your case for staying in the (socialist) EU.
The BBC will not be showing next year’s British Open Golf live but live right now on BBC is NFL American Football. You couldn’t make it up. I am not interested in American Football but I am passionate about Malaysian Badminton and I want to see it live. I mean, what am I paying my TV tax for ?
In fact, were we to be rid of all that (sport, soaps, moronvision etc) we could actually have a broadcaster that produced only the programmes commercial channels deemed insufficiently profitable.
Now a BBC like that I might just be persuaded to pay for. Though they’d have to drop the cultural Marxism, of course.
Local BBC here in the South West have a sports commentator who is constantly referring to American football. Reading your post I am guessing either he is looking for a new career move or they plan to bring us this ‘delight’ on a more permanent basis. I await the day they start referring to the Saturday ‘Soccer’ results here so as not to confuse them with ‘Football’.
Pat, my first thought was that some of the BBC senior management were fans and decided to spend our money on it for their own enjoyment. I would not put anything past the BBC ! But to do it at the expense of Golf is a disgrace.
BBC 1 News now. Headline ” David Cameron defends the cuts to tax credits “, then shows the demonstration. The negativity continues. Beeboid says ” despite the protests, this is the first Tory conference for 19 years as a government ” ( I don’t see the connection ).. The whole piece negative. The bias is so blatant it is shameless .
BBC Scotland just went a step further now and led with the demonstration ! So the main event is the protest and the conference secondary ! Unbelievable !
I have just watched a recording of This Week from Thursday night on which M Portillo was the ‘Tory’ guest. He said that his moment of the week was when the PM rejected calls for the UK to pay reparations to West Indians for the Slave Trade! But far from agreeing that the reason why the demand should be rejected was that there was no justice in paying reparations for something that happened 200 years ago, he said that the claim was fully justified but that the UK couldn’t afford it ! Portillo has become increasingly leftist in outlook , probably because he likes his BBC pay checks and knows which side his bread is buttered on , but that was foolish beyond belief. If you say that the case is justified, how long will it be before some government or other takes the case to the UN or other supranational body , and it rules in their favour, possibly influenced by quotes like Portillo’s and slowly the UK is forced to start forking out for this spurious claim?
Of course by today’s enlightened standards slavery is abhorrent but it wasn’t 200 years ago and the UK was the first country to outlaw the trade. So our record is not as bad as some country’s on this issue. We must not imagine that the life these unfortunates were forcibly taken from in Africa was a bed of roses either. But the main point is that people today cannot be held responsible for crimes committed by their great, great, great, great, great, great grandfathers!! And why stop at just 6 greats , why not 10 greats or 20 greats!
If Portillo is on the programme to balance Alan Johnson or D Abbott, he is a poor advocate of Tory views and not worth his money, but we know the BBC like him because he has ditched most of his former views in favour of the money and will toe the BBC line on most things.
Portillo did not say that any claim for reparations for the slave trade was fully justified, he said it was not wholly unjustified, but the cost would be so great that it was never going to happen, because we are still living with the consequences. I cannot say I agree with him, but I welcome somebody expressing an opinion, even if you find it absurd.
He is not going further the the Left in my opinion, he is as socially liberal and fiscally conservative as ever, but has changed his mind about the European Union (which he wants us to leave) and Trident (the budget for which he wants spent on conventional forces) and as I say personally I welcome somebody who tries to think for himself rather than simply trot out the Party line.
It is only because of the absence of Conservatives opinions on the BBC that you find him frustrating, because there are so few Conservative voices on the BBC you feel he should be your advocate, but you find yourself disagreeing with him.
The BBC like all public television around the world is a source of Leftist opinions and debate. People who rely on the taxpayer will always be advocates of high taxes. People who are on the Left will always seek to use any opportunity they can to propagandize. Having people make their own minds up is precisely what they are against.
All the public sector is left wing full stop! They fail to see the link between funds in and funds out, and can only see the hand which gives the money as being good. The follow with slavish devotion the Labour party which now represents these people, with the working class having been reduced to council estate benefit culture
Couldn’t agree more. The Labour party of my grandfather’s generation (he was born in 1897) was a cause for the good, and really was for the interest of the working man. In my grandfather’s case he was a coal miner before Nationalisation, when caps were doffed at the mine owners, (yes, its true), so the turnaround in conditions he worked in during his early years was a million miles away from what he endured underground when he retired. These were the days when he had to contribute 1/- (one shilling, 5p) a week from his wages to pay for any medical treatment – no NHS then. The Labour party in its infancy did fight for better working conditions, and I cannot decry them for what they did achieve. HOWEVER, the working class of today is on another planet from the working class of my grandfather; and even as recent as 40 years ago when most people DID live in council houses, and who grew up with the work ethic – (before the Right to Buy), there wasn’t the council estate benefit culture of the last couple of generations, who found life easier on benefits than working. Labour hasn’t helped those in need by throwing money at them, or sending them to Yuni. They should have had a massive job creation programme and a massive reduction in dole money – that would have got the buggers out of bed in the morning – thus giving more jobs for the indigenous population, and keeping the door closed to migrants.
Anyone who thinks that money not spent on Trident would instead be spent on conventional defence is very optimistic. Think how many “social programmes” an extra few billion could fund. I can’t see the likes of Jeremy Corbyn spending that money on extra tanks, ships and aircraft somehow.
The BBC only ever present slavery as something that started and ended with the British. So they ignore, for example, the contemporaneous Islamic trade that went eastwards, and the role of black traders themselves, and slavery that existed in Africa long before our arrival. Then, of course, us whiteys and many more Europeans like us could claim for the Barbary slave trade, then their were the Romans of course and….and…
The BBC work on the assumption that because we are better than everybody else, we should be attacked, and because everybody else is worse, they should be defended. They assume that everybody is naturally equal, and therefore all inequality is unjust, and ought to be re-adjusted. It is the same thinking which leads them to justify mass immigration. They hope it will destroy anything which makes this Country the sort of place to which people want to emigrate.
We could always re-badge next year’s foreign aid budget as “Slavery Reparations (full and final settlement) Budget”. As we’re already committed to throwing the money away we’ll be no worse off. The year after it can be the “Empire Guilt Budget” for India and Africa.
But somehow I don’t think that the BBC will be happy.
Should just come up with a page on the TV LICENCE RESISTANCE page about BBc faking film on ‘Patagonia: Earth’s Secret Paradise’ “The breath-taking footage claimed to show a ‘dirty thunderstorm’ during the eruption, with lightning strikes flashes through a cloud of volcanic ash.
But it was in fact made by splicing footage of two different volcanic eruptions together, one which happened in 2011 and the other in 2015.
The latest blockbuster documentary series, ‘Patagonia: Earth’s Secret Paradise’, aired its first episode last week and delighted viewers.”
Doublethinker, Well said ! Portillo never was a man of principle but always an opportunist. Totally unreliable and strange in many ways. It is on record that Norman Tebbit hated him and that is good enough for me. Your comments about slavery are spot on .
Wild
Very silly of you not to notice that the opinions of Portillo are not the subject of this discussion.
Whichis that Portillo has these opinions and still considers himself a Conservative.
Wild, ok, that’s true. But that is not the reason I called him opportunistic . Just because someone disagrees with me does not make them opportunistic .
I thought the implication was that he was arguing that people who argue in favour of reparations for slavery have a case for compensation, because that is the sort of thing his leftist paymasters at the BBC believe, and he is only saying it for that reason.
Re the “slavery reparations debate”.
The Paper reviews on BH this morning featured some rapper from Stratford Globe Theatre or such who gave us a marvellous account of how Haiti abolished the slave trade-bloody Wilberforce and his White History crap is a pile of tut apparently!
Given how shit and corrupt Haiti is-maybe we should reintroduce it for them.
What bugged me was the lack of history and “challenge” to this bizarre notion-being an engaged young rapper in the arts with a Black Supremacist agenda seemed to cow them all…even the relatively decent Andrew Gimson from the hated “Daily Mail”
I`m not going to check this stuff-but the elevation of Haiti into the first Progressive nation in 1805…and the argument that whatever we give the Yardies or the Marley estate-it won`t BEGIN to make up for “The Desmonds”…was truly “peak maan!”
Actually, Haiti was already a French colony and the existing slaves there rebelled killing , maybe, 2000-5000 whites. Voodoo or Juju was endemic in West Africa ( and still is today ) and would have been practiced by all slaves in the New World.
SKY news paper review, stuck up snob Christina Patterson and wannabe intellectual Mathew Syed is discussing metrosexual men having bottox, apparently the Arab and African invasion of Europe appears to be over.
Having just got around to watching this weeks Have I Got News For You, it would appear that the bBC had imported the previous weeks QT Cambridge audience for the program.
It was a complete and utter ‘get Clarkson’ farce with that dik Richard Osman obviously primed with anti Clarkson comments (conveniently set up to sit with questions asked) and all feverishly applauded by the audience. You could actually see him champing at the bit, drooling to get his pre rehearsed lefty digs in.
Farce of a show, let’s hope Clarkson landed one on the smug fizzog of Osman post show, maybe that was Osmans intention?
Osman is a thoroughly revolting individual. Perfect for the BBC. I actually quite warmed to Clarkson. A friend of mine once attended in the audience. It was a about 5/6 hours with breaks. Everything is scripted and rehearsed. Some of the “banter” took about 20 takes to get right. I wonder how much the contestants are paid ? I would guess about £5000 each per show. Of our money !
They have hours to think up their witty ad libs. I stopped watching the how years back when I found that out. I don’t want to watch a scripted show which pretends to be ad libbed. Typical BBC fakery. I really don’t know why the likes of Farage or Clarkson agree to go on. Are they that vain? A few grand surely isn’t enough to get the piss ripped out of you, which happens to all vaguely right wing people who are stupid enough to appear.
”I feared Bake Off fans would write me off because I wear the headscarf: INSPIRING story of the unlikely favourite who has WON Britain OVER,” ( Its won the Daily Fail over)
” Like many schoolgirls, Nadiya Jamir Hussain spent most of her lessons gazing WISTFULLY out of the window.”
That’s the media insider term the BBC wants me as a viewer to digest this morning as they plug a new show called Close to the Edge that will focus on OAPs in Bournemouth.
The BBC’s mates in the Guardian think scripted reality may already have had its salad days and the genre already has one foot in the grave
‘I can’t say I’ll be sorry to see the genre wither and die. I prefer proper drama or true reality to this cynical fusion of the two’
Pass the frittata – I find myself agreeing with the Guadian
But scripted reality is a really suitable term for much BBC current affairs output. Take, for example, two news stories of today. One is the introduction of 5p charges on plastic shopping bags. The BBC is very keen on this bit of government policy. I’ve watched the output and there is – apparently – no down side. What could go wrong – Ireland and Scotland those progressive templates have led the way.
Then, back to the pensioners, the BBC carries a report that very few pensioners have taken advantage of George Osborne’s allowing them to access their pension pot. Do you remember the BBC going into fright mode about granny splashing her cash on a Lambo? Well today the BBC are eating homebaked humble pie on that scare story. Do you see the contrast in attitude between policies of which the BBC approves and those it disapproves? Scripted reality.
And who knows what progressive tripe the BBC will put into the mouths of the grans and granddads?
‘Hello Doris, how are you today? I’m off for a bungee jump this afternoon… see you Wednesday, dear… what about those horrible Tories… how’s your Morroccan asylum seeker care worker, Archie? Plenty of room in the country if we would just budge up a bit – bring in euthanasia, I say’.
“scripted reality is a really suitable term for much BBC current affairs output.”
The gave up on reporting years ago. It is just opinion pieces to camera by overpaid journalists illustrating their sermons about inequality with real world suffering in order to make “do what I say not what I do” Leftists feel entitled to have a holiday home in Tuscany.
Did anyone catch the crappy new series ‘The Kennedy’s’ that followed HIGNFY. Bbased on Emma Kennedy’s book (a bBC taking head I believe) it was an extremely lazy pastiche of life in the 1970’s bearing no resemblance to the real thing.
They spend a fortune on such productions, but the 20 something producers can’t be arsed to get the simple details right even when those that are going to be watching were actually ‘there’. Set in 1974, we have a T reg Marina (1977), then at a dinner party we have late 70s punk tracks playing, but worse later the soundtrack extends into the 1980s! All the characters looking like 70s porn stars and interiors like 70s Argos catalogues, to those that were there, in reality it just wasn’t like that.
Petty I know, but it sort of proves the fact that the bBC like to embroider historical facts….But much worse (and as we have come to expect) it just wasn’t bloody funny. The Danny Baker effort Cradle to the Grave is at least funny and factually more accurate, although I’m not sure you’d have picked up a late 70’s Sanyo video for £100 in 1974, no matter how ‘hot’ it was.
Emma Kennedy is a Private educated, Oxford University lesbian who is friends with Stewart Lee and Mel Gledroyc. She also had a five year fling with Sue Perkins. Had she been able to tick the black or handicapped boxes on the BBC forms then this brilliant, original, rib cracking hilarious writer would have inflicted a BBC series on us many years before.
Isn’t it odd how the people who get BBC programmes made all seem to be from the same milieu of friends, relatives and lovers, regardless of talent? Still, at least that explains Marcus Brigstocke’s career.
If you were a talented writer but were not on the Left politically would you strive to write for the BBC or would go off and chose a different career altogether. The BBC does not encourage talent it does precisely the opposite. It pays the school fees of the children of public school Oxbridge educated free loaders, and is a platform which promotes high taxation to fund a public sector run by the same bunch of public school Oxbridge educated free loaders.
You know somebody by knowing their enemies, and the enemy of the BBC is the British nation they are funded to serve.
So who do they serve? Themselves mostly, with great big dollops of hypocrisy. A “BBC production” is a synonym for mediocre, unoriginal, uncreative, smug, politically correct, ignorant. home counties left wing crap.
I’m reading the new biog of Guy Burgess, “Stalin’s Englishman” by Andrew Lownie – excellent so far – and it gave me pause for thought about this. Burgess not only traitor spy but ex-BBC man, of course. Context is all, and in Burgess’s student days the Left and the Communist Party of GB made a conscious decision to target the intelligentsia and infiltrate all influential societies. They were so successful that the hard-Left was soon almost synonymous with “the intelligentsia”. All cleverly self-serving. So Cambridge member Julian Bell, for example, was writing, “By the end of 1933…a very large majority of the more intelligent undergraduates are Communists or almost Communists.”
I think it’s very simple. Most people want to be thought of as intelligent and many will accept the prevailing terms to achieve that. What’s sad is that this group-think attitude has become so entrenched that we’ve reached the stage where there can be no real debate or questioning of uncomfortable facts. Dissenters are howled down. Ironically, no intelligence is required to claim a place among the right-on “intelligentsia” only the ability to follow blindly and carry on the drone work.
Sadly, the work begun the 1930s has continued more or less unchecked (one might almost say unopposed – whatever the liars who police Wikipedia like to claim) since. Entryism has seen to it that the humanities departments of most of our universities have been under Marxist control ever since – despite the spy scandals attached to Cambridge.
No government has dared clean out these filthy stables and as the BBC more or less exclusively recruits from these departments, the end result has been precisely what the Communists had planned.
‘Interesting’ is one word Rob. Anyone would think the BBC can’t judge a script in itself.
About ten years ago Broadcast magazine carried a story of how a major indie comedy company sent a script to the BBC. They had a huge track record in TV comedy and in their view this was the best script they had ever seen. They wondered whether the BBC would go straight for the series, create a pilot or merely seek some redrafts.
So they waited …
… and they waited …
… and they (well, you get the idea.)
So, one day they phoned and asked how they were getting on with said script and the commissioning editor for comedy replied: she doesn’t read scripts just cast lists.
Hence why the same names and their mates forever circle our screen, constantly in the search for that ever more elusive laugh.
I had the same comment from a BBC drama editor, she felt the only way to get a script commissioned was to tag a star name to it.
This is, not least, a problem brought about by the BBC’s obsession with yoof. Had the programme’s production team had a grown-up around he or she would have pointed out the anachronisms.
We had exactly this bewildered conversation in our house! Clearly the period details were an important part of this, a joke in themselves – the stray Space Hopper in the yard, etc – but then why were the makers of this nonsense so sloppy with them? As you say, the music, which is so easy to get right, was all over the place (decade), as were quite a few of the references. Just had us scratching our heads in bafflement.
Is it post-modern, or just the inevitable result of giving top grades to arts and history students for “getting it nearly right”?
The Mail does this so that when the Left wing media accuse it of ‘racism’ it can blink innocently, wave this sort of shoddy rubbish at its accusers and gasp ‘How dare you!?’.
I recall a great film called “Before NIght Falls” (2000) in which the poet who is the chief protagonist [Reinaldo Arenas (1943-1990)] discovered that who won literary competitions in Cuba was entirely determined by political criteria.
Although gay brown person trumps straight white, Islamic brown female trumps gay brown male, so given that it is on the BBC you do not have to watch it to know who is going to win. It is a bit like Cuban election in that respect.
Not to mention the lesbian presenter.
That’s nearly ‘full house’ for the Al-Beeb PC bingo game. What a shame no-one was wheelchair bound. Maybe some Syrian lady in Hungary could bake a cake, assisted of course by some destitute children.
Bias by omission is the most egregious, but subtle, example of bBBC bias. This morning it even extends to the Nobel Prize announcement for physiology and medicine, awarded to two men and a woman for their work on drugs to combat parasitic diseases. But the BBC online report, by Michelle Roberts (Health editor, BBC News online), takes the Nobel Prize Committee’s press release, cuts out all mention of the work by the two men (against diseases caused by roundworm parasites) and gushes over the work by the woman (against malaria).
Just re the first post here re Andrew Marr.
I watched the newspaper review too. I also usually watch the first few minutes of This Week.
It strikes me that Matthew Parris (who I read in the Times) is right-of-centre but thoughtful. Like Portillo in a different way they are not afraid to talk dispassionately about events. Are they closet lefties? No I rather think they are just somewhat open-minded and intelligent. Danny Finkelstein is another in this group.
Meanwhile most left-of-centre guests on the Beeb just cannot ever conceive of anything the Tories might do that can be supported. So all you get is the same old leftie rent-a-quotes, uncritically accepted by the Al-Beeb presenters.
The overall effect is to discredit the right, which of course the BBC mandarins just love.
Notice the dearth of Al Beeb news reports on the European migration crisis? Have they all stopped coming over? Has Germany and Europe successfully integrated them into their communities. Nothing happening at Calais? Has any news been censored?
I suspect Al Beeb and the rest of the media have been avoiding the negative reporting of this mass invasion as it is counter productive to the cohesion of Europe. The fiasco exposed the inability and inactivity of the European Parliament to deal with what has proved the biggest invasion since the Second World War. Thank God it wasn’t Russian tanks storming through the ineffective European borders. Thank God for the English Channel !
Its all ammunition for UKIP, and this worries our Prime Minister ‘who wants to stay in’ and Al Beeb, who probably get good ‘handouts’ from the white elephant of an unelected bureaucracy.
Time to get out before we loose our sovereignty – tell you MP.
Yes, it’s something I’ve noticed. They now report only when they have to, such as Saturday morning’s suspension of Eurotunnel services due to a co-ordinated invasion. I don’t recall it even made the evening bulletins.
When working in the NHS as a secretary, I was asked to print a notice displaying the time of a meeting for the members of the Black Nurses Association. When I queried the absence of white nurses, and mentioned that I’d never heard of a White Nurses organisation, – shoulders were shrugged.
If you want to see real racism rather than the BBC version of racism, go to that site where everything is viewed in terms of race. Yet the BBC would have it that racism is being concerned about a religion because of the behaviour of many of its followers.
As we all know, the bBBC is obsessed by race. Today’s latest example is about an Australian rugby league player whose young daughter was holding a black doll. This, the bBBC thinks, ‘has become the talking point of the game’. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-34440600
“Who exactly says she has ‘won Britain over’ is it a public vote? Just what is the Mail playing at?
This is the inspiring story of the unlikely #GBBO favourite who has won Britain over” http://t.co/AeZgsU9TZO pic.twitter.com/jdTPpVNHEa
Well Geoff, last week, when the judges knew who had baked what, she had rather overt and gushing praise
when it was a “blind” judging she came last … work it out
hmmm … something smells in the BBC kitchen …
Any chance of a half baked series on the cards this year for the winner?
Indeed. Due to the relentless promotion of positive discrimination for Blacks (or whatever the terminally offended are calling themselves nowadays), women and Muslims I would have thought that IF she were to win there would always be the suspicion that it was due to her minority status rather than her buns. Mind you, if everything goes to plan then they will be the majority in 50 years but I’m fairly convinced that the minority whites will not be getting the same treatment. Fortunately I will be long gone
WHEN she is given the trophy – she’ll be on the sofa of Breakfast, the One Show for certain, and then Sunday Live, and Newsnight, the list is endless- and on the front of every National the next day. Groan !
Despite the editorial content of the Mail, at least Littlejohn and Platell are the voices of sanity.
Folks … It won t be long,
A real read it and weep, moment … well you ll certainly feel like it after this …
For this mans bravery, and for the craven, disgusting hand he has been dealt
by both the MSM, and government, and yes the BBC/ the No10 traitors are front of the queue here.
Thank you for posting this link – this feels emblematic of the central issue of our time. I would like everyone to have the opportunity to view this, and understand the calibre of opinion that is backing the primacy of freedom of speech, and its importance for the other freedoms we still enjoy in the West. For how long we will continue to enjoy this without actively defending it is obviously moot, which makes it more important to share the knowledge of the companionship of like-minds.
I’ve just seen the BBC News response* of the Chancellor’s speech;
On an infrastructure body – according to BBC News it is ‘An idea stolen from Labour
On Osborne – our old friend Norman Smith comes along to speculate that it was a speech designed to strengthen Osborne’s bid for the leadership of the party…despite a host of people earlier telling us that (cleverly), it was nothing of the sort. Once again Smith tells us what he wants the news to be (or what hoped it would have been having written his script before the speech was delivered).
*As the BBC are now the official opposition it is appropriate to describe this as a ‘response’ rather than a ‘report’.
Had to give a sigh at another item on the news. Apparently the pick-up truck that ran down that poor copper in Liverpool was later found abandoned in Corbyn Street, near the docks. Only the reporter pronounced it ‘Corbun’….can’t think why.
And imagine if a Tory had thrown his lot in with the Corbyn Labour Party?
The BBC would STILL be going on about this for the next few years.
But Andrew Adonis comes over to lead some Tory reforms-and all we get is a sniffy glance and some mutterings about it on the BBC.
And absolutely NO analysis, no reasons, no interviews and no “what does this say about the chaos in Labour”?
Typical BBC lies and bias.
But does anybody really expect anything other these days?
Met two brothers yesterday just back from Hamburg last week Situation chaotic and dangerous in the streets. The railway station on the day of their leaving was suddenly closed. They took a taxi to the airport. Not heard much about this on our media.
I suspect Germany is heading for chaos. Merkel is insane.
Recall the BBC, “Europe s most dangerous” and all that, about Geert Wilders
… they mean t Angela Merkel but got the names mixed up 😀
Classic BBC bias, it even has
Martin “vare are dark claads developing over euwope” Smith,
within the FIRST MINUTE! … typical BBC hatchet job
includes nutter imams to boot.
Check out the grim serious music when anything concerning Wilders and then the happy chirpy morning music when talking to muslim ‘imam’ and black race hustler. Pathetic BBC.
I suspect Germany’s headed for far worse than that. History seems to be playing out again. Give it another 5-10 years and simmering resentments will boil over. A new ‘leader’ of the German people will emerge and… well, we know where that will lead. Merkel is already perceived by many German nationalists to be a ‘traitor to the nation’ – not so far removed from the old ‘stab in the back’ refrain once used by a very disenfranchised and angry young ex-corporal.
Heard on Radio 4 this morning that experts are now predicting that Germany will take in over 1.5m immigrants this year alone. Merkel wasn’t joking when she spoke about a new ‘occupation’, but will native Germans eventually tire of the joke..?
I see Ched Evans’ case has been sent to the court of appeal.
If you recall Ched Evans was found guilty by a court of law and punished with imprisonment.
On his release he was found guilty by a court of the BBC and further punished but without leave to appeal or have a remission. The BBC court consisted entirely of those who wanted him further punished but never had time to hear from others to point out the importance of rehabilitation of offenders.
If Mr Evans is found innocent by the court I trust the BBC will apologise, Newsnight will be disbanded and the BBC will be shut down. I hope Mr Evans sues the BBC for lost wages, which for a footballer ought to be interesting.
The BBC engaged in appallingly vindictive attacks on a man released from prison whilst supporting Assange’s fight against the courts to even hear his case for the alleged rape of two women and without any mention at all of the rapists of 1,400 children in Rotherham.
Update on TV licence campaign
Hi!
First of all, we have now hit the 169,600 mark (SO desperately close to 170,000!!) Your efforts brought over one thousand new signatures! Also, thanks for reading and sharing the things I posted on my blog: my blog stats went through the roof recently! It’s a great pleasure to see that the interest is red hot.
PRESENTATION TO PARLIAMENT
I’ve spoken to Andrew Bridgen MP, this Friday (2nd Oct.), and he said he will “I will seek advice on the procedure [presenting a petition from the public] when parliament returns and then we can start plans”. Therefore I would like to confirm that it’s still very much on, but that the presentation will be a little later than expected. However, it’s not a bad thing. There are still a few things to sort out first, and, as the Royal Charter doesn’t get renewed before another 14 months, we still have a lot of breathing space.
NEWSBREAK
I finally received the results of another FOI! I asked for a breakdown of the 39 people imprisoned last year. It took the Justice Statistics Analytical Services 2 months (and several reminders) to release this. It was like pulling teeth. I can now reveal that 11 women and 28 men were jailed for an average of 20 days each for TV licence fine default in England and Wales in 2014. I can also tell you that 6 of them were aged 18 to 29, compared to 10 aged 30 to 39, and 15 aged 41 to 49, and 8 aged over 50. Watch out for the Daily Mail, as journalist Katherine Rushton mentioned being interested to write about this.
RECRUITING
As mentioned before, I would like to turn the presentation of the petition into a newsworthy event. If you have some idea or experience, and if you are interested in organising a march, demo, or protest we need to talk! I have little or no experience in this matter, so I need a first mate and trusted lieutenant to get things organised. It will be on a weekday (Tuesday is petition day I gather), and it will be in London, but if this is not a problem for you, please contact me on twitter @lalionneUK
PRESS
The numbers of people prosecuted in England in 2014 found their way in the following newspapers: http://www.courier.co.uk/REVEALED-TV-licence-evaders-Kent-Sussex/story-27890130-detail/story.html
Brownie points for the Halifax Courier, who broke the news on the same day as I sent my newsletters. Impressive.
I’m also expecting the Daily Echo to put something together, as they did a phone interview, and even asked for a photo, but it hadn’t gone to press last time I checked. If this is your local newspaper, please nudge them for me.
CURRENT WORK
I’m trying to put together a list of courts dealing with TV licence. I had asked the Ministry of Justice for that, but they refused to answer on a technicality (*laziness*) and the appeal was also rejected on the same ground (with a fresh layer of bullshit on top). If they thought I would let it go, they messed with the wrong person. The more I’m told I can’t have something, the more determined I become to get it. So I’m now contacting every magistrate court in England and Wales. It’s very tedious, but I’ll get there.
If you speak a second language, it could be quite useful if you were putting short article together, 3 paragraphs at most, explaining what this petition is all about and where to sign it. Publish it on a blog or send it to me via Twitter. We currently have something in Polish, in French and in Malayalam. Can we get other languages?
SURVEYS
BBC Trust, the government, and even 38 Degrees, keep offering the public an opportunity to share their opinion on the Future of the BBC. I know that the BBC surveys are a special form of torture with long brainwashing preamble, rambling questions, and a choice of bias answers, but considering that only 40,000 bothered to answer the first BBC Trust survey, it would be easy to swamp the results, if all 170,000 receiving this email fill it. The list of surveys by the Trust is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/have_your_say Keep your eyes peeled for other similar opportunities.
That’s about it for now. So, stay in touch on Twitter and speak to you soon.
Caroline Levesque-Bartlett
Caught the beginning of the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2. With the “all Labour guest list” during the Labour Party Conference, I was expecting to be bored by an “all Tory guest list” for the Tory Conference. But instead I heard Vine talking to Ken Livingstone about the “Nationalisation of the Banks“. I immediately switched off the radio.
A reminder that the BBC Charter Review by the he Department for Culture, Media and Sport ends on Thursday.
I was asked to contribute to Question 17: On the investigation into the Governance of Complaints handling and Editorial failings.
I am interested to see how Newsnight treat the Tory conference, given that they also had an ‘all Labour guest list’ last week -and on the night of Corbyn’s speech and ‘all Guardian’ guest list.
No doubt Owen Jones, Polly Tuscany and Will Hutton will be making an appearance sometime pretty well soon.
I see the BBC is all serious faces again because Russian fighter jets have been kicking the daylights out of Islamic scumbags in Syria. Apparently NATO has scolded Putin…
Nato has urged Russia to end air strikes “on the Syrian opposition and civilians”, days after Moscow began raids to support Syria’s government. Moscow says it is targeting Islamic State and other Islamist positions, but US-led allies and Turkey say government opponents are targeted. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34448942
Lol. Anyway, let’s ask ourselves who exactly these ‘opposition forces’ are (because the BBC sure as sh*t ain’t ever gonna tells us)…
You’ll see it’s pretty extensive. I wonder how many of those ‘anti-Assad’ forces are ready to embrace a free, democratic approach to Syria?
I chose one at random:
Ansar al-Sharia (Syria)
Ansar al-Sharia (Partisans of Islamic Law) is an operations room of Islamist Syrian rebel factions that operate in Aleppo, Syria. Their aim is to take Aleppo then work with other groups to govern the city according to sharia law. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ansar_al-Sharia_(Syria)
Oh, now I understand why the BBC remains pretty sheepish about these ‘opposition forces’…
This is the first time in my life I have ever supported Russia ! Of course the problem for the BBC is that they love Russia but they love Islamic terrorists even more. And , of course, they hate NATO. LOL ! What fun !
Fair point, Al. I always thought it was the Russian people the BBC loved ! But it must be difficult for the BBC because Putin stands up to the evil USA. On the other hand , the BBC love Obama. It must be very complicated being a Beeboid !
I am eagerly awaiting the BBC to indicate which of the freedom loving opposition parties in Syria will back proportional representation or insist on a first past the post electoral system once the dictator Assad has been removed.
The Islamic Peoples Front surplus vote will be redistributed proportionately to the remaining candidates – Mohammed from the Syrian Islamic Action Force and Muhammad from the Peoples Front of Islam.
That’s all we have from Raqqa South constituency, now back to you in the studio, David.
Today there was a folk music program on Radio 4, what could possibly go wrong with that? Well plenty!
It came from Manchester and was about Irish folk songs sung in the city – no surprise the BBC chose Manchester, as all the well known far leftie loons are there for the Tory conference.
What might have been a pleasant discussion and some music turned into a diatribe concerning Friedrich Engles and his publicising a slum in the city, followed by a rant about whether the songs were ‘waycist’ poking fun at the Irish, and whether they were reinforcing ‘stereotypes’.
I turned off after a couple of minutes, a promising program ruined by a corporation which simply doesn’t know when to stop with its left wing politicking.
‘Stereotypes’ is a word the BBC and leftists seem to love. I think it appeals to their theoretical, generalist view of people being amorphous masses needing enlightenment and protection from oppression by the guardianistas. The fact that people are individuals seems to have passed them by entirely.
I remember the days when ‘stereotypes’ meant a discussion of the relative merits of Pye and Grundig sound systems.
“In social psychology, a stereotype is a thought that can be adopted about specific types of individuals or certain ways of doing things”.
In condemning stereotypes the left do not approve of, they are through the usual technique of using a word which has a completely different meaning to disguise the way they are using it.
What it boils down to is the Fascist left objecting to people thinking differently to the way they want them to. It is in a nutshell thought control – thought crime.
I see that there is a report which seeks to ban all pork & pork products from the workplace allegedly because it might offend Jews & Muslims, but forget the Jews they aren’t bothered!
You wouldn’t mind quite so much if this report was written by a Muslim, but to find it’s written by a loopy professor called Adam Dinham is disgraceful.
Unfortunately this is likely to become law in the UK, even while most people find it totally unbelievable. Who would have thought that school dinners would become totally Halal? The Islamisation of our country continues apace, and it’s no surprise with soft brained idiots like professor Adam Dinham, no surprise he has a degree in theology (bet he’s the Church of England)!
I am surprised the BBC has not covered this recent affront to the Tory Conference. Has Teresa May lost control over the police and cannot persuade them to protect Conservative delegates?
I imagine that most of the BBC were too busy yelling and throwing softballs at the “Tories Come”-and the film would be shaky as they tried to film themselves abusing democratically elected people we voted in only five months ago.
We all know that the BBC are infested with these scum-and they`ll not be making any story out of these abuses.
S`pose no May type would have the brain to arrest these louts for throwing litter-not cleaning up after themselves-and wasting good food when others “more vulnerable” could have been taught how to boil an egg…might be a BSc in that after three years at Brunel!
No-Boris is able to mock them-as is Gove-but the rest of them are thick.
They should be all dumped in a big carrier bag, charge Corbyn removal charges for them at £500-very thick bag required-and send them for recycling to China-or Saudi even.
Wankas! Nakkas!
Can you imagine if this was a conference attended by Muslim leaders and the English Defence League were doing the same thing? Chanting ‘Muslim Scum’ and throwing objects?
DS – the police would never allow the EDL within half a mile of a Muslim conference; even then Al Beebus would be all over it and the police would try and arrest whomever they could from the EDL.
Friday 2 October 2015 UAF website
”Oppose Fascists targeting Refugees
Some of the fragmented fascist groups active in the UK are demonstrating in the next month. They seek to stir up hatred around the refugee crisis and over immigration. To date, the rump far right groups’ efforts have been small in number and have not pulled any significant forces around them. This show the current woeful state of fascist politics in Britain, where fascists have been successfully rejected by anti fascists. The various competing groups are for now, directionless and biding their time. UAF however is not complacent about the situation, given the growth in Europe of groups like Jobbik, Golden Dawn and Marine Le Pen in France. Uaf is working with other local anti fascists eg Trades Councils, in the areas to ensure that fascists are not able to march unopposed and that the message ‘#refugees welcome, Nazis are not’, rings out loud and clear.”
How I would love to be there with my 3 wood and remove the teeth of any of those filthy flea-infested lefty tinkers if they even aimed a plastic ball at me.
Police stand idly by while protestors throw balls at delegates (aka law abiding taxpayers) and shout abuse? Do the police want it to escalate? What would the police do if a delegate threw a ball back or shouted ‘scum’ at the protestors?
Had to listen to a bit of Womans Hour again from Friday.
Some trans-geezerbird walks out of some “Women in The World” Conference-because real women take exception to hizzer former life when s/he was chillaxed about porn.
And other women(real I think) walk out in protest at the lack of “space safeguarding”-the rise of “purity politics” and intersectionality and no-platforming…our deep voiced chapette says this is all too common in the Greens, Corbyns Labour Party, the world of Gay and-but of course-the trans-sisters.
Uh?
Listened to it again to see if it made sense on second hearing-no it didn`t!
The Womans Hour “Pick of the Week” seemed not to want us to hear this vacuous fluff in Dame Jennis belly button…a cerise pink seeing as you`ll want to know its colour.
As someone else says-so hard to be a Beeboid-not only do you have to broadcast this slosh…but you might be asked your opinion about it…as if Planet Real gives a flying fig!

Yet another of Grace Jones’ many attributes !

Cranmer is right, hence the definition of ‘racism’ is kept deliberately vague, so as to be a catch-all crime.
In simple Orwellian ‘1984’ terms,
‘RACISM’ = ++ UNGOOD CRIMETHINK.

David, I was just going to make the same point.

However, since the “White British” appear to be the ONLY ethnic group in this country which is allowed to be racially attacked, discriminated against and receive almost no protection in law at all, I am forced into defending MY race and MY culture from the racist bigots on the left who determine everything in terms of bigoted, racist, sexist identity politics.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/10/video-australia-muslim-was-dancing-joyously-screaming-allahu-akbar-as-he-murdered-police-official

Arsehole.
Kudos to you Joan, never to be forgotten.

Was disappointed, but not surprised, to read this about a recent nature programme:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-34437703

25 likes

I’ve been busy all weekend with plumbing the heating into the extension so have not seen any BBc. I did see this http://www.tvlicenceresistance.info/forum/index.php/topic,12076.new.html

I had a pingback appear in some kind of Arabic after replying to a post above.
Anyone know what’s going on?

Yes, very opportunistic to express opinions with which you disagree.

Many escaped slaves made their way to Haiti where the slave owners were too scared to follow them because of the Voodoo cult which they practiced.

Actually, Haiti was already a French colony and the existing slaves there rebelled killing , maybe, 2000-5000 whites. Voodoo or Juju was endemic in West Africa ( and still is today ) and would have been practiced by all slaves in the New World.

Heard about it didn’t watch it. Can’t stand that Richard Osman anyway. It’s easy to be smug (on pointless) when you have the answers.

Scripted Reality
That’s the media insider term the BBC wants me as a viewer to digest this morning as they plug a new show called Close to the Edge that will focus on OAPs in Bournemouth.
The BBC’s mates in the Guardian think scripted reality may already have had its salad days and the genre already has one foot in the grave
http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2012/feb/08/is-time-up-for-towie
And who knows what progressive tripe the BBC will put into the mouths of the grans and granddads?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3116274/New-stars-reality-TV-pensioners-Bournemouth-Six-series-follow-antics-OAPs-seaside-resort.html

Perhaps we should be grateful.

Although gay brown person trumps straight white, Islamic brown female trumps gay brown male, so given that it is on the BBC you do not have to watch it to know who is going to win. It is a bit like Cuban election in that respect.

The bBBC news item has now been edited to include descriptions of the work done by the men.

Innuendo.
I’ve just seen the BBC News response* of the Chancellor’s speech;

“…I suspect Germany is heading for chaos.”

Last time, I forgot to mention that I finished translating my “Complete British file” in French. https://endbbclicencefee.wordpress.com/2015/09/01/la-redevance-audiovisuelle-au-royaume-uni-french-version-of-the-complete-british-tv-licence-file/ If you have French speaking friends, please share this with them.

Looking forward to seeing Laurie spend-a- Penny defending spitting on Tories. Something for Newsnight

Lol. Anyway, let’s ask ourselves who exactly these ‘opposition forces’ are (because the BBC sure as sh*t ain’t ever gonna tells us)…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_armed_groups_in_the_Syrian_Civil_War
You’ll see it’s pretty extensive. I wonder how many of those ‘anti-Assad’ forces are ready to embrace a free, democratic approach to Syria?
I chose one at random:
Ansar al-Sharia (Syria)
Ansar al-Sharia (Partisans of Islamic Law) is an operations room of Islamist Syrian rebel factions that operate in Aleppo, Syria. Their aim is to take Aleppo then work with other groups to govern the city according to sharia law.

Oh, now I understand why the BBC remains pretty sheepish about these ‘opposition forces’…

This is the first time in my life I have ever supported Russia ! Of course the problem for the BBC is that they love Russia but they love Islamic terrorists even more. And , of course, they hate NATO. LOL ! What fun !

I would have to disagree Grant; I find that Al Beebus hates Putin’s Russia – yet it loved the Soviet Union.

Fair point, Al. I always thought it was the Russian people the BBC loved ! But it must be difficult for the BBC because Putin stands up to the evil USA. On the other hand , the BBC love Obama. It must be very complicated being a Beeboid !

They are having problems but Putin’s Russia is a serious threat to beeboid fantasies so this time Russia has to be the very bad one.

Russia quite correctly is identifying anyone wondering about in Syria with a gun that isn’t in Syrian army uniform a ‘target’

Why not go the whole hog and ban pigs from the UK altogether ?

Would the BBC report it?
Would any arrests be made?

DS – the police would never allow the EDL within half a mile of a Muslim conference; even then Al Beebus would be all over it and the police would try and arrest whomever they could from the EDL.

The irony is the Fascists are the UAF gang, who threaten, intimidate and bully the native Britons.
