The dozy BBC narrator referred to the Falklands Current as “the Malvinas Current” on three occasions.
The correct term is definately ‘Falklands current’ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falkland_Current

It’s as if the people of the Falklands never voted overwhelmingly in 2013 to remain part of the UK. As if 255 British soldiers never gave their lives to repel a hostile invasion in 1982 by a country that has no valid claim to the islands. The BBC really are traitororus anti-British scum.

On the plus side: they did manage to show some aerail footage of a glacier without making the customary idiotic end-of-the-world-is-nigh comments about (non-existent) man-made global warming.

Are these the slave workers referred to in the DT on Thursday as from Hungary?
Interesting comment in the Metro on same day in response to asylum and beneficial migrants. Chap claimed his dad had fled Hungary in 1950s became an accountant in UK and put back far more than he ever took out; this is apparently typical of migrants, who do not take the jobs of UK folk. He then lambasted the UK and said we needed to be more tolerant!
Hungary, that would be the tolerant country erecting razor wire fences and patrolling same with troops. The country where the President is lambasted by other EU leaders for not welcoming migrants, but has the wholehearted support of the majority population of his own country as he warns about the inevitability of countries losing their culture and historical identity if hundreds of thousands of mainly Muslim migrants are allowed in .
Oh! the irony of someone of Hungarian ‘heritage’ criticizing us.

Worse, much worse than the dreary talent is the fact that additional points were to be awarded for any mention of Nadiya from the Great British Bake off. Erm, hate to ask, but why?

‘Turkey-PKK conflict: Why are clashes escalating?’

Well we know why. The Kurds are pissed off with the lack of help from the Muslims in Turkey. Particularly with the Islamic government of Erdogan appearing to inhibit Kurds trying to flee Kobani and other places under siege from ISIL. The Turkish government has also prevented Kurds trying to enter Iraq to defend their country against ISIL.

Just so you are up to speed on the morality of Erdoğan’s Turkish government it has re-introduced Islamic dress for women in state areas and has had 1600 human rights judgements against it from the European Court of Human Rights (mainly about torture). Nice eh?

Now then today’s competition. Please read the article and locate the word Muslim. The winner will receive a visit to Specsavers as the BBC doesn’t know that this is conflict between Muslims and Kurds, antagonised by the Muslims.

Sarcasm and anger aside. How can anyone trust the BBC to report on anything under the sun if it cannot print the word Muslim outside of the Bake Off competition?

This week there was a question ” Are the Tories at war with the BBC?” I rang in pass a comment about this, and I waited to hear what other callers thought. I was expecting that the BBC would only allow those supportive views on air, but they must not have had any because they didn’t even cover the subject !

Lets not forget that her thickie son Mork suddenly managed to acquire considerable wealth without a transparent source.

Lets not forget that during the Major years the Tory Minister for Defence Procurement one Jonathan Aitken, was exposed taking large sums from the Saudis, leading to them becoming much more careful about how they paid their dirty money in the future.

I mean, look at yesterdays headline “Fears of ‘third intifada’ in Middle East”. What kind of leading sentence is…
“Fresh violence between Palestinians and Israelis has seen six Palestinians shot dead in Gaza, reports say, and a fresh spate of stabbings.”

It is the worst sentence I have ever read, even by BBC standards regarding Israel/Palestine.
‘,and a fresh spate of stabbings.’ has no context. It could refer to anything. Its just thrown on at the end.
It doesn’t mention who did the stabbings or who was stabbed. Or even where they occurred. Or if it was even in the report.

Also, ‘fresh violence between Palestinians and Israelis’? I don’t think so.
‘fresh violence against Israelis by Palestinians’ is a little more accurate.

When you try to twist the natural story, you tie yourself in grammatical knots moving emphasis, context, subjects and objects around. That is what you end up with. A sentence that finishes with ‘..,and a fresh spate of stabbings.’

“A spate of stabbings against Jews has resulted in Six Palestinians being shot dead, a report says.”
That’s all they need to write. No twisting the story so it ends up reading like an 8 year old wrote it.

Why is the BBC so interested in Israeli versus Palestinian news?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-34495746

Casualties in the conflict amount to perhaps several a month. Compare to the thousands inflicted by the Islamic State and ‘other’ groups in the Middle East every month.

The extreme slaughter of thousands of innocents by Islamic State receives less attention by the BBC than the deaths of one or two in Israel or Palestine.

Do the recent hundreds or possibly thousands of middle eastern Christians murdered by Islamic State count for nothing in the eyes of the BBC? The BBC coverage is minimal and almost non-existent.

Israel is a tiny democratic oasis within the vast Middle Eastern desert of violence and oppression. Israel respects human rights. Women are treated equally and gays are not oppressed. Free speech exists without question. The Israeli judicial process is fair and as good as the best systems in western Europe or North America. Many Arabs/Muslims live and work in Israel without conflict. Also, Israel provides aid to Palestine.

But any Israeli would be murdered if found in most middle eastern Arab/Muslim states. Palestine teaches it’s children how to slaughter Jews and supports the total extermination of all Israelis with no prisoners.

BBC. Why do you oppose Israel? Why do you support Palestine? The values of Israel mirror those of Western European states. The Left oppose the existence of Israel.

Is the BBC biased? Is the BBC Left wing?

A little story from Australia that might amuse you. Patricia Shields, a politician in our Liberal (conservative) party has been posting anti-Islamic material on her Facebook page. One post features a roadside signboard bearing the words: ‘You are entering Australia; Sharia Free Zone; Please put your watches forward 1400 years’. (The article doesn’t explain who made the sign, or whether some joker actually has placed it by a road.)

    http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/nsw-liberal-womens-council-vicepresident-patricia-shields-resigns-over-antiislam-posts-20151009-gk5ot5.html

I hope the link works. I doubt whether the British press told you, but we have had problems with our ‘enriching’ Islamic community. A week or so ago, a 15-year-old Muslim boy obtained a gun from (apparently) his local mosque and shot dead a Chinese civilian worker with the local police force. The incident happened in the Sydney suburban town of Parramatta, near a cafe Mr H-B and I have often visited. It was quite a shock.

(By the way, the Aussie establishment are probably even more obsessed with multiculturalism than their British counterpart.)

What Happened to White Australia and its famous all white policy?

”Australia like the United States, was founded by the British. Both countries were built by white settlers and populated by white immigrants. Both had immigration policies strongly favoring white immigration that continued until just a few decades ago. But Australia had even more racially explicit origins than the United States. It came into being as a nation dedicated not merely to racial purity but to preserving a specific ethnic heritage. The “White Australia Policy” was really a “British Australia Policy,” established by a people who, as Prime Minister Robert Menzies said, felt “British to the bootstraps.” What happened to this proud, fiercely explicit identity?” Read the rest here http://www.amren.com/features/2013/03/what-happened-to-white-australia/

The multi-culturalists have often acted in secret, and conniving media never demand an explanation that goes beyond slogans about diversity and silly jabber about ethnic food. Every nation of the British diaspora has the same miserable record: Canada, the United States, and New Zealand all forsook their roots. None consulted its people or explained why the founding stock was suddenly not good enough.

It is sad to read such convincing confirmation that our own disease so badly infects our Australian cousins, but it is gratifying to know that a few are still healthy, and are determined to save their country.” http://www.amren.com/features/2013/03/what-happened-to-white-australia/

Of course this isn’t strictly fair, because the Anglo population built modern Australia. Still, you can understand their feelings.

I think the native British are slightly less vulnerable. Much as the liberal establishment has tried to convince us that we are a “nation of immigrants” it hasn’t wholly worked. Even the most superficial study of history shows the flaws in this theory. Besides, many Britons have family trees, graves, memorabilia, etc. which tell a different story.

‘Racism’ fear over landlord checks. The Beeb picks up Burnham’s interview in the Sunday Independent today in which he claims landlord checks on immigrant status in the new Immigration Bill are discriminatory. Interestingly the Beeb piece does not refer to the survey which Burnham cites in evidence. In fact this was undertaken by the “Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants” under the umbrella of “MAX”. To quote from the JCWI website ” The Movement Against Xenophobia (MAX) is a coalition of civil society groups, faith groups, trade unions and individuals who have come together to oppose xenophobia and misinformation in the debate on immigration. According to JCWI, ” The “evaluation” was based on “a total of 76 responses, with 45 responses from tenants/lodgers and 31 from landlords/agents” to two on-line surveys started in December 2014. One might reasonably ask what the original sample sizes were and whether so few responses could lead in any way to results which could be regarded as statistically significant, always assuming of course reasonable efforts to avoid bias in the survey questions and coverage.

All-in-all another jolly good piece of work by all concerned.

Reply from Mr Hand-Basket (5th Generation Aussie).

The left-wing epidemic is actually worse in my hometown of Melbourne than in Sydney. Melbourne is the only place to have a Green party MP.

The total Muslim population in Australia is relatively small (2%) and has been located in small pockets, but it is spreading into most areas. Wherever you go they are there these days and they are certainly making their presence felt. The Parramatta shooting was the second in less than a year – the first was in central Sydney. In outer Melbourne a jihadist stabbed two Federal police offices.

The Muslim community clearly has plans to expand. Mosques and Muslim schools are popping up all over the place. For example, the old gold mining town of Bendigo, Victoria, only has a Muslim population of about 35 but they are building a mosque there to take 350. There has just been a demonstration against it and lefty “anti-racist” opposition.

I’d like to say I was shocked that after speaking my God Daughter yesterday, to discover that her school no longer celebrates Harvest Festival, apparently its called something like ‘Festival of Colour’ (I can’t quite recall). Kids are longer asked to take in food, yes you’ve guessed it just in case ‘certain people’ may be offended.

This is in a relatively un-diverse part of the country, but mostly shocking to me was her parents complete acceptance of it and in no way found it odd or a need to question it.

The BBC’s work is nearly done.

Should we expect a ‘Festival Of Colour’ Countryfile special ?

These intended ‘festivals of colour’ programmes might not be so daft as it sounds, judging by the amount of above quota non-white presenters there are on screen.

I read that someone did a study, whereby the amount of white people in this country as opposed to ethnics is not transferred onto the screen in the same ratio – being oversubscribed by far with people of colour.

Radio 4 is going overboard on the far left wing crap this morning.
    We had:
Sunday Worship from Norwich Cathedral – a city described as the most Godless in the UK with the people leaving the irrelevant far left C of E in their droves, hardly a surprise when the sermon & prayers were all pro mass immigration, pro asylum seekers, pro Islam – typical BBC really.

A point of view from Will Self, which I’m sure needs no further illumination.

Tweet of the day Miranda Krestovnikoff presents the common hawk cuckoo from the Bengal region, replete with pro Islamic comment.

Broadcasting House perhaps one of the most far left programs on radio 4 eulogising the Bake off winner – and did you know that her husband didn’t even object to her appearing on TV – proving what an enlightened Muslim he is. The Irony of that just seems to have completely gone over their collective left wing heads !
Also carrying on the far left griping that asking people to prove they are not illegal immigrants is in some perverted thought process – racist – even though there’s no such thing!

We then move to Lemm Sissay on Desert Island discs

And that’s the morning complete. Impartiality runs in our veins? Well it might, but it never interferes with the bias that reaches the transmitters !

I really should have learned by now not to try eating whilst listening to Any Questions. One afternoon I’m going to choke on a corned beef sarnie. It nearly happened again yesterday.
The delightful Dianne Abbot was on the panel, well, it’s difficult to avoid this woman if you tune into any Beeb prog’ at the moment. They’ll have her introducing Gardeners’ World given half a chance. The National Health Service was being discussed (you know the scene, a lefty on the panel says it’s the best in the world and couldn’t exist without millions of immigrants and there is much cheering and foot stomping). Well, we were following the usual script when the svelte like Diane actually began lecturing us about the dangers of obesity! Honestly! Does this bloody woman have no sense of irony…or no mirrors in her house? Did anyone give her a nudge and say,”Look Diane, I don’t like to mention it, but…” No, Di’ sat there, like a bleedin’ great buddha, lecturing the nation on its propensity to indulge in too much beer and wine and fattening foods. And, of course, she received a clattering round of applause from the appreciative audience.
It’s enough to drive a bloke to drink…

These kind of occasions always remind me of the Emperor’s new clothes story.

“A vain Emperor who cares about nothing except wearing and displaying clothes hires two weavers who promise him the finest, best suit of clothes from a fabric invisible to anyone who is unfit for his position or “hopelessly stupid”. The Emperor’s ministers cannot see the clothes themselves, but pretend that they can for fear of appearing unfit for their positions and the Emperor does the same. Finally the weavers report that the suit is finished, they mime dressing him and the Emperor marches in procession before his subjects. The townsfolk play along with the pretense, not wanting to appear unfit for their positions or stupid. Then a child in the crowd, too young to understand the desirability of keeping up the pretense, blurts out that the Emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is taken up by others. The Emperor suspects the assertion is true, but continues the procession”

Everybody claps along to an obese arrogant **** who only cares about appearances, lecturing them on the dangers of obesity. She needs to read the story. Why didn’t somebody just shout ‘But Sir, you do realize you’re obese!, put that ham sandwich down”

Landlord rent checks could cause ‘everyday racism’, Labour warns

“The Immigration Bill will make it a criminal offence to rent accommodation to illegal immigrants. But shadow home secretary Andy Burnham told the Independent on Sunday it could cause problems for ‘anyone with a foreign-sounding name’.”

Again with the racism nonsense. Obviously he and the BBC are referring to white British [racism here] being racist to anyone with a foreign sounding name. That is crystal clear. Because how can somebody with a foreign sounding name be racist if he/she refuse to rent out a property to ‘anyone with a foreign-sounding name’. Discrimination? possibly. Racism? BBC/Burnham you need to learn what racism is. It is not a catchall ism. You are suffering from catchallism.

For example, Mr khan refuses to rent his one bed apartment to Mr muhammad because of the immigration bill. Not racist.
so Mr Smith refuses to rent his one bed apartment to Mr muhammad because of the immigration bill. Racist
But Mr Smith is black, so
Mr Smith refuses to rent his one bed apartment to Mr muhammad because of the immigration bill. Not Racist

‘Witchcraft’ abuse cases on the rise
When i read that i immediately thought of wicker and paganism in the woods. You know, light stuff.

But know, they are talking about the abuse and sacrifice of children by migrant Africans via juju and Witchcraft. The report refers to pastors on several occasions. I though pastors were christian. I think Catholicism in Africa is a dark and deeply disturbing version of the European one (if possible), mixing traditional, ancient African religion with traditional Catholicism. This should be mentioned.

Debbie Ariyo, founder of Africans Unite Against Child Abuse, warned against “viewing the issue as solely affecting the African community, as her organisation has supported victims from other faiths and cultural backgrounds, including the South Asian community. ”

Do you mean Hinduism. India and Africa are importing witchcraft and human sacrifice into the country in the form of exorcism. Honor killings and terrorism are imported from the middle east and Northern Asia. And the BBC wants it all. People have a right to stick to their traditions and cultures. Murder and child abuse is just a by product. The ends justify the means. BBC sees this as a basic human right, like access to the all seeing, all knowing, godlike BBC.

◾According to a classified document, the German government now estimates that Germany will receive as many as 1.5 million asylum seekers in 2015, including 920,000 in the last quarter of 2015 alone. With family reunifications, the actual number of asylum seekers could swell to more than 7 million. Separately, German authorities now estimate that at least 290,000 migrants and refugees have entered the country without being registered.
◾”The behavior of these highly delinquent youths towards police officers can be characterized as aggressive, disrespectful and condescending. … When they are arrested, they resist and assault [police officers]. The youths have no respect for state institutions.” — Confidential report, leaked to Die Welt.
◾In Berlin, a classified police report revealed that a dozen Arab clans hold reign over the city’s criminal underworld. The report says the clans, which are dedicated to dealing drugs, robbing banks and burglarizing department stores, run a “parallel justice system” in which they resolve disputes among themselves with mediators from other crime families. If the state gets involved, the clans use cash payments or threats of violence to influence witnesses.
◾”For years the policy has been to leave the population in the dark about the actual crime situation… The citizens are being played for fools.” — André Schulz, head of the Association of Criminal Police.
◾According to the President of the German Police Union, “In Berlin or in the north of Duisburg there are neighborhoods where colleagues hardly dare to stop a car — because they know that they’ll be surrounded by 40 or 50 men.” These attacks amount to a “deliberate challenge to the authority of the state — attacks in which the perpetrators are expressing their contempt for our society.”

Horrific, but sadly not an isolated case. Why on earth would any sane person invite people who behave like this into their own country by the million? And then compound things by saying that these people have a ‘right’ to live by their own values and beliefs,no matter how barbaric, even though they are a total misfit with the values of the host country.
I simply can’t understand it. The far left saw mass immigration as a tool with which to destroy nation sates. I don’t support that of course but there is a nasty logic to it. But they also seem to have succeeded in persuading millions of ordinary folks that mass immigration is a good thing. In the UK I have no doubt that the BBC’s relentless , decades long bias in favour of immigration has succeeded in warping the minds of millions. ( And perhaps putting millions more into a deep and peaceful sleep from which they will wake to find the country they thought they lived in has long since passed away) Such that now even a reasonable speech by the Home Secretary, which basically said that we needed to pause and consolidate in order to ensure a stable and cohesive society, was shouted down in the media. Many commentators even claiming that we have a stable and cohesive multi cultural society and that the Home Secretary was destablising it!! Yet we have a country that is on the highest level of internal terror alert, where we have mass rapes by one ethnic group , where we are repeatedly told by the BBC that the country is still racist , where well over a thousand ‘so called Brits’ have gone off to fight Jihad, where we have many ethnic no go areas, where the white indigenous population flees from ethnic enclaves, where we see massive electoral fraud in some ethnic communities , where laws are passed to stop people saying what they think (so giving up a cherished right to free speech, because it may upset Muslims), where laws are enacted to try to stop one group being prejudiced against another. These don’t seem like the symptoms of a country at ease with itself. What has happened in the UK has happened across many other countries in Europe.
It is as though a religious fever has swept the continent and despite the overwhelming evidence that mass immigration is bad for the host country, people refuse to see it and just keep on chanting the same old mantra and allow their country to be taken over.

The BBC has been very succesful in its propagandising. I switched on some R4 media programme and they were discussing the aftermath of broadcasting an uncensored version of an 1976 episode of the Newshuddlines. Apparently listeners had been contacting the BBC in droves to complain about racial stereotyping and (horror) outright racism. Minority recruitment into the Met was a topic and the racism was “Hallo, Hallo, Hallo what’s going on here then?” in a Nigerian accent. The luminaries on the programme concluded that even Lenry Henry using an African accent for comedic effect would now be considered racist. The original BBC script writer said he was now embarrassed by his oeuvre. Nudging the public’s sense of humour in a particular direction for a political reason is very sinister and straight from 1984. Like animals in a circus, the BBC gets the public to willingly jump through various ideological hoops as they actually believe this is what they themseves really want to do.

I wonder if Lidl, with its much vaunted living wage announcement, can afford to do the same.

By and large we should try to make do with the people we have. If we have a problem with an element refusing to work, we find a way of fixing the problem. Ignoring them and bringing in people from outside is not acceptable IMO. It’s also expensive and wasteful.

In the days when you had to be a genius to get to Yuni, there were ‘activities’ believe it or not, called Saturday jobs !! Loads of us had ’em – we stacked shelves, we worked in Woolworths for 18/- (90p per day), swept up in hairdressers, and made the tea in retail shops ! We used the money to buy our tights (1/11d – 10p) and go dancing at the Mecca on Saturday nights. The word BENEFIT just wasn’t in our vocabulary, we left school, we got a job – menial or not; the work ethic was instilled in us from our parents. If you didn’t have a job, you didn’t admit it. AND we had to give our parents money for our keep !

Most parents of today never seem to take money off their kids – and that’s the downfall, and why we have generations of “we want it all, NOW”.

The landlords don’t care. They know there are plenty of other people who will rent. Overcrowding doesn’t apply to people who are not subject to immigration control. The borough is supposed to have overcrowding rules but the landlord only lets the premises on paper to one person and with the right to peaceful enjoyment they claim they had no idea if found out!

What you describe is practically a law of nature that applies anywhere in the world. I remember a French documentary about the impact of young male Afghan refugees in Iran. The reporter went around Iranian building sites asking Iranian brickies what they thought. It was the same story. We have families to support and can’t work for less. They are willing to work for half the wage, live ten to a room etc. I was amazed when an Iranian “economist” popped up to explain that the brickies had got it all wrong. Refugees were a boost to the economy and increased Iran’s GDP. Political “elites” really do live in fantasy worlds of their own making.

Really scraping the barrel, isn’t it?

Foreign travel has improved our food because fewer people are prepared to tolerate greasy spoon fare. Yes, perhaps immigration from places like France has helped a bit but the fact remains, you can find good foreign food in places like Tokyo which have virtually no immigration.

I get extremely annoyed when people who run ethnic restaurants claim that immigration controls are damaging their businesses because they can’t import ‘chefs’ (cooks, in other words) from India or wherever. So train some European employees instead of uncles and nephews you racist bastards! A White English person could not get away with a lame argument like that.

Many visitors to this site might view this as a self selecting group of contributors with an axe to grind, and they would probably be right. That in itself should not provide grounds for ignoring our views, so in the interests of presenting views from a different perspective these comments are from the hotukdeals site – a terrible deals site which makes you spend money you never intended to !

The BBC have a deal on the Blu Ray Doctor Who series 1-4 conversions and these are some of the comments made by their contributors:

“If you’re going to watch Doctor Who, these are the ones to watch.
The writing and production values were way better than the garbage of recent series.
The BBC seems to be intent on killing their golden geese (Top Gear, Doctor Who and others) and it won’t be long before international buyers stop picking up Doctor Who for syndication,. ”

“It was the PC brigade with Top Gear. They were the ONLY ones wanting Clarkson out. Replacing him with Evans is unbelievable. They ranted Clarkson was egotistical. Compared to Evans, he’s riddled with self doubt !
And trying to sneak the usual talentless “wimmin” in too like Perkins says who originated the whole mess. (Although I gather after the volume of anger against the decision they leaked she’s backed out.) The pigs ear of the “new” Top Gear is already losing overseas orders according to reports, and it hasn’t even started yet!”

“This is off topic but I’m going to reply anyway. I’ve no problem with “wimmin” so long as they have the talent required. There are some great female contributors to shows like HIGNFY, Mock the Week etc but sadly, the PC brigade’s insistence on there being at least one female present has resulted in some rather desperate scraping of the barrel.
Then there’s the Winkelman woman… “Film” was an iconic movie review show. It’s\ now unwatchable.”

So, a completely independent source thinking along the same lines we are. Anyone seeking confirmation, or wondering if we are in a minority here’s the proof we’re not.

Can someone please explain what is meant by “trying to sneak the usual talentless “wimmin” in too like Perkins says who originated the whole mess. ” what does Perkins have to do with the Top Gear mess?

Doctor Who’s lecturing on gender delights Guardian writers and BBC producers but irritates the crap out of everyone else. Like the contributors you listed my guts heave whenever I try to watch the present series of this once fabulous show, (well ok it was more hit and miss than we older fans care to admit).

There’s the idiotic calling a guy Mister Pink and the lass Miss Blue, because in the imaginations of the left the preference for pink is foisted at gun point on to poor innocent girls who if given their leeway would hate dolls’ houses be building rockets. When in the first Capaldi episode Dr Who made repeated points about how older men should not have relationships with younger women it was written so that if someone missed the first statement they might catch statements 2 to 8. Message to producers: The audience yawned when he first said it, it does not have to be repeated, honest. Risible.

If the brilliant Hugo Blix couldn’t prevent the feminist makeover of his Honourable Woman series then no one can stand up to the BBC proselytising producers. (I am taking it that the talented Blix would have written dialogue women would say had he been able to cast it as he wished and have no idea whether if my fears are true).

Hasn’t the BBC noticed how women speak and act like women in successful US dramas such as Sopranos, The Wire, House of Cards, et al? The gangster’s wives at lunch in the Sopranos and the attitude of the daughter Meadow are strikingly recognisable and thus heart renderingly enthralling.

Maybe someone can explain to me why after the war we were told that it was necessary to import foreigners to work in the NHS, drive buses etc etc etc.

After all we had survived the war, had the older chaps and women doing these jobs suddenly become defunct? Post war our men folk had also returned to the work force thus relieving women from manual labour jobs to maybe work in the NHS etc. Yes the country needed rebuilding, but whenever I see old film of 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s British construction sites, tower blocks and motorways etc, I can never recall seeing any non whites doing the work.

    Maybe I’m missing something?

Back then women were encouraged not to work and the lower paid menial jobs were proving difficult to fill. On top of that there was a lot of damage to repair, and the newly created NHS also soaked up a lot of labour.
Later the cotton industry which was low paid failed to recruit staff so they imported them from Pakistan. What they should have done was to have given temporary contracts of say 5 years which would have given many more people the ability to provide a better living for themselves and their families, and relived the UK of the burden of their care in old age.

The sad truth is that even fiscally challenged statespersons like those self-delusional socialists Aneurin Bevan, Ernest Bevin, Herbert Morrison (nee Mandelson) Anthony Wedgewood-Benn and Richard Crosland, knew that the NHS and nationalised railways were unaffordable without a very large pool of cheap labour. So they imported it.

I think it all started with a shortage of labour in the Underground and Railways, particularly in London. So a workforce was imported from Jamaica, and the Windrush generation was born. I was born and raised on the SE coast, and the only black faces that were seen, were at the American air base during the 50’s, and that was it ! Immigration, black or otherwise was never an issue in that area even in the 60’s and 70’s; but now tragically once ‘posh’ areas have been turned into Eastern European ghettoes where the indigenous residents are scared stiff to venture out at night.

You can see how snow has now covered most of western Russia. A huge increase in snow cover took place between Friday and Saturday.

I’ve had another look through the NIC archive and up to this point – 10th October – There is no other year that had such extensive Russian snow cover. We are, in-fact, currently breaking records for how quickly snow cover has managed to develop and spread into western Russia.

The only year that is now close to us is 2002 which did have extensive snow cover spreading into western Russia and just about managed to send a slither of snow to the Russia/European border something we hadn’t managed to do up to yesterday.

Even so, 2015 probably beats 2002 in terms of total snow cover extent across the entirety of Russia and particularly the western part of Russia.

We are also easily ahead of other recent years which saw a rapid build of snow cover during October, such as 2012 and 2014.

So clearly 2015 is turning into a massive year for rapid build up of snow over Russia. The next issue will be to see whether we can retain the snow cover we have across western Europe (because snow cover has developed so early into western Russia it could thaw away)

It will also be interesting to see whether early snow cover can set up across Scandinavia – A situation that, as we explain in the fifth winter update, occurred in October 2009.

If we can build up snow cover quickly across Scandinavia and retain the snow we have across central and western Russia, this, in combination with other factors, could enhance our chance of a increased “blocking” this winter.

No doubt we will be told that it’s getting colder because it’s getting warmer !

Thoughtful, there has already been plenty of snow in the Scandinavian countries, plenty in Southern Europe too. Iceland is having an early winter and my friends in Canada tell me winter has come early there too with snow a month early. Scotland has had 12 months of lying snow and this hasn’t happened for 30 years or so. We (the UK) have had a frost day every month this year so far and it is odds on the we will have one in November and December creating a record in itself. The Atlantic is 10 degrees colder now than it should be (year on year average) and as a result any tropical storms whipped up in the tropics cannot sustain themselves across the Atlantic, hence a “dry” year in the U.K. With ‘High Pressure’ dominating the Northern Hemisphere, cold dense air is filling Northern latitudes and hence the Russian winter has already set in. I was telling everyone on this forum last year that this is what would happen based on historical evidence of U.K. weather with no or very little sunspot activity. I still cannot see any change to my prediction that we are in for a long cold winter and cold temperature records will be broken. But don’t expect the BBC to tells us. There are even bets being taken that London will see an October snowfall, one it hasn’t seen for 34 years. There is also growing concern that the Sunspot Cycle 25 will be a very low count, thus prolonging a “cold” era.

I remember saying to a Guardian reading, BBC adoring environmentalist that though the world had warmed by .7 of a degree in the last 150 years it had cooled for the last thousand years and had not increased in temperature for (at that time) 15 years. He didn’t believe me so I showed him the sources.

The next day he came into work to announce, and I kid ye not, ‘ he had seen something on the bbc that explained that global warming can lead to cooling.’

I realised there are times when one should gracefully give up.

Tell me Old Bloke, is there anywhere with accurate, untampered with, temperature records for the last few decades?

This theory is key to the future of Climate science in the same way as the Theory of Relativity was to Physics.

I heard the last few minutes of The World This Weekend today. It was an item on the Canadian election, and was a master-class on BBC bias.

The reporter began by stating that the Conservatives decided on a long election campaign because they had more money available than the opposition, the phrase was “flush with cash”. The reporter then moved on to the campaign, which at first (apparently) was dominated by a scandal involving a Conservative Senator and the Conservative PM’s Chief of Staff – with a clip of the PM stating the obvious, that he couldn’t comment on an ongoing court case. Next came the Conservatives getting advice from Lynton Crosby until the Conservatives “eventually found an issue”, but this was how Muslim women should be dressed during the ceremony to become Canadian citizens. We were told that the courts were against the government’s policy and that the opposition parties had joined in the criticism. This was the Conservatives opportunity (suddenly there was dramatic music in the background) and they released “an attack ad”. Polls support the Conservative position, but we get a mention that the opposition are “more progressive”. Then there is a clip from a voter, but she was French Canadian with a heavy accent, and as I was listening in the car I didn’t get everything she said , and it was followed by criticism of the Conservatives by the opposition for “pandering to bigotry”. Finally we get a clip of the opposition leader criticising the Prime Minister for promoting fear and division.

In less than 4 minutes we were told that the Conservatives had manipulated the electoral system, were embroiled in a scandal that reached the PM’s office, had to import a foreign political guru, played the race card and been overruled by the courts, and launched an attack ad that panders to bigotry. The clip of the PM was of him refusing to answer questions, while the clip of the opposition leader was of him criticising the PM. I have no idea what the substantive issues are for Canadian voters, but am left with the clear impression that the Conservatives are corrupt, nasty and racist, while the opposition are progressive and reasonable.

Luckily this was the BBC. so I know from experience that it was all bollocks. But an informative 4 minutes on the Canadian election would have been interesting – I’ll have to look on the web.

Nearly fell off my chair listening to the World Service interviewing Ali, an Afghani ‘refugee’ in Hamburg.

WS: Do you expect Germany to give it to you? [Free education]

WS: Because you’ve come all the way here it doesn’t mean they have to give you free education. Do you think lots of people think like that?

    Ali: Yeah.

A while back I heard another BBC reporter express an off-message opinion to a ‘refugee.’ I guess there are a few BBC staff who are not thoroughly pickled in PeeCee. It’s also possible that exposure on the ground to the invading masses has demonstrated to some at the BBC that a considerable number of them are in fact economic migrants and potential freeloaders.

The bit about Ali’s expectations is at about 11:45 min in but the whole programme is quite interesting and atypical of the bleeding-heart BBC:

It’s reached the point now where I no longer listen. One word about migrants and I switch off. I slipped-up last week, though (I may have been in the shower – can’t remember), and heard some minutes of a programme on R4 in which a Syrian family were being followed as they travelled to Europe. The fact that they had already spent two years in Jordan was more or less glossed over, as the string section tuned up to accompany a bleating refrain of why they should be allowed in.

It was, of course, blatant and unashamed economic migration and if this family is allowed in, who wouldn’t be? How long before many millions from Africa and Asia follow suit? These and a hundred other questions are almost never asked by the bleeding hearts at the BBC who care nothing for their homeland or their fellow countrymen and women.
