David Dimbleby presents this week’s show from Liverpool. The panellists are: UKIP MEP for North West England Louise Bours, Conservative MP for Esher and Walton, Dominic Raab; Labour shadow chancellor John McDonnell, Guardian columnist Zoe Williams and former England footballer Jermaine Jenas. No MP for any of the Merseyside parliamentary constituencies will appear, for reasons unknown.

Shall watch that. I really cannot STAND Zoe Williams, lazy journo who writes off the top of her head and lacks the wit or wisdom to get away with it.
So the England footballer is on the panel to answer one question about whether Sunderland FC should have allowed Adam Johnson to keep on playing after being charged. I’m not sure what his views on Donald Trump and the Brexit will be though :/
He does tick one of the boxes for BBC political correctness though.
It would be even more interesting if they had a question on why footballers are paid so much. Or why footballers are considered to be ‘role models’. Or why the age of consent in Britain is higher than in many other countries.
I do hope that members of the audience bused up from London will try to speak with either scouse or Pakistani accents to make it appear multicultural.
I’m trying to do my bit in keeping this programme on its toes.

Phew. At least that dreadul Diane Abbott isn’t on again. Just in case you need to know I wrote to her re her attendance at the Support Gaza rallies. Although I think she is entitled to attend these ( I wouldn’t) I asked her and her team when she would be deriding Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. That was almost 2 years ago and despite many emails and calls she still has not replied. Has anyone seen her outside the Syrian or Russian embassies lately? Or is she too busy cosying upto Corbyn-Laden (again)?
I love it when gorgeous Diane looks into space as if she is trying to find her brain. But why is the BBC so obsessed with her ?

Diane has been very busy speaking at UAF gatherings and supporting migrants. In the photo she appears with what look like a swarm of hard done by migrants who may be lucky enough to be offered accommodation at her home.
I wonder how many refugees they have living with them in their mansions!

I’m looking forward to hearing Jermaine Jenas. He is definitely not your average footballer. An articulate and thoughtful young man. He is often on 5Live, and is a refreshing change from out and out morons such as Robbie Savage.

John McConnell tells us to calm down and have a reasonable debate on the subject of the EU referendum and vote as we feel right, but almost comically he goes on to sow a few more seeds for Project Fear!

He was quickly asked why Turkey wasn’t a safe country though, by an audience member and a panellist.
Dimbleby, needless to say didn’t insist he answer this very valid point.

Personally I would disagree, bar the doddery old lady and aid worker, I recon this audience and considering its Liverpool is one of the most right of center ones I can recall and has actually given me more hope of a Brexit. They seem remarkably well informed.
Agreed. It feels like there is a momentum towards Brexit. This audience is maybe 60/40 in favour of leaving.
The last poll that I saw on Al Beeb on immigration – about two years ago was that 80% were against more. It was a live show on Sunday and Al Beeb’s presenter was quite uneasy when the result was read.

Even the majority accent of the audience sounded authentic (I grew up in the area). I was pleasantly surprised after the likes of Hatton Et Al.
I haven’t watched a full episode for years, tonight lasted half an hour.
Not as bad as expected, watching Dimblebys evident distaste as he wrinkles his nose with disgust at having to hear immigration openly discussed is a picture.
The lefties again try to play on feelings but are now called out on their lies..UKIP woman v refugee support “worker” was brilliant…..” I didn’t even say that…you just made it up” brilliant rejoinder and the refugee worker nearly burst into tears of rage and disbelief, that her feelings based argument was so casually but woundingly dismissed.
Good to hear people asking why Turkey isn’t a safe country……no answer to a very pertinent question….if it’s safe, why are refugees leaving in droves on leaky boats? and if it isn’t safe, who in their right minds wants it and/or its people in the EU?
Finally switched off when a guy was conveniently given the last word when he asked why there was a link being made between migrants and terrorism. “Not all migrants are terrorists you know” dur…you don’t say, but EU authorities say possibly 5,000 of them are and as we know the numbers of jihadis versus the carnage caused means that small cells cause mass casualties as we saw in Paris.
I took some hope from tonight’s edition, plenty of people simply not swallowing the line, and the pro EU people really do seem to have nothing to say. But it was appalling to hear sappy looking lads saying “but I don’t know how to vote, no ones telling us what the facts are” oh dear.
Yes, it is encouraging that a member of the audience asked the Turkey question. It shows what nonsense the “stronger in Europe”, “Europe guarantees our security” shtick is. The Superstate in spe can’t even keep unarmed invaders out. Unfortunately, knowing “the facts” does not help predict the future with much accuracy. But if, as Camerloon claims, we now have the “best of both worlds” it is only because we have spent the last 40 years distancing ourselves from the “European project”. What joy has the Euro brought Greece, Italy, Spain, France, etc. ? If the EU has been so great for Eastern Europe why are we solving their labour market problems for them. The Germans are supposed to be the great winners but the majority of the population has not had a real increase in wages for decades. The DM would have been a much stronger currency, but the Euro suited German exporters and so the German public’s buying power was reduced.
German big business were also the ones claiming that the refugees would solve German industry’s skill shortage, but in a year they have only employed a couple of hundred at most.
Did anybody else notice the very obvious cut/edit towards the end?

I think he must have taken several Valium tabs after the recording.
Fairly well balanced audience compared with what we usually have to endure. However I do think that Dimbleby should have allowed the UKIP representative a few seconds more to properly refute what the refugee worker had claimed she had said; he has a habit of cutting people short and leaving things left unsaid and hanging in the air.
The refugee worker (probably a plant) was a typical supporter of the soft liberal left’s agenda (spot them a mile off) who was hoping to discredit UKIP and resorted to lying when unable to use what was actually said.
I’ve noticed recently that the QT cameramen are biased in favour of – good looking women!
Not that I’m complaining.

Lovely moment as Zoe Williams almost launched herself at Louise Bours when she had the temerity to mention the Cologne/Helsinki/Hamburg/Rotterdam/etc etc enrichments, and suggested that we are faced with a clearly defined culture clash – though I suppose it depends how you define ‘culture’. The way the rest of the panel distanced themselves by silence, it’s almost as though some of them don’t believe it happened. Or will again at Easter.
