The BBC coverage of last evening’s first US presidential debate was as pro-Clinton as I expected. It reminds me so much of the run up to the EU referendum, the BBC is smugly confident that their side will win. I will delight when Trump prevails and they are forced to go into another bout if sustained denial. Your thoughts?

This is where bias reporting can help.
Last week someone on this site suggested that the BBC would have already written their analysis which would say that the Hillary will have won the debate, and so it was reported this morning. That is the trouble with a biased BBC (other Left wing press are available); maybe Hillary won the debate, maybe she didn’t. But as I can no longer trust BBC, Skye, CNN etc etc, I don’t know. All I know is that the Left supporting press want Hillary to have won. If we cannot trust the BBC to inform truthfully what is the point of the BBC? It might as well go commercial and those who want to pay, can.
The ‘Host’ would have done justice to the BBC. When on one occasion the audience cheered a remark from Trump, the ‘Host’ warned them they had been instructed not to react. Did not seem to apply to Clinton however. Obviously been watching Dimbleby.
Clintons noisy group were probably out on parole that very morning!
I understand that numerous polls give the victory to Trump, that the Moderator interrupted Trump many times more than Clinton, and this raises questions regarding whether Trump should refuse to participate in debates where the media have an opportunity to fix things Dimbelby style. Surely a contestant for the US Presidency should be able to insist on a media free venue.
I participate in many US Conservative forums and they are strongly supportive of Trump, but feedback from my US colleagues is that Trump failed to hit Clinton The feeling is that she is now on course for victory; that the health scare was an exaggeration that backfired on Trump supporters, and that he came across as unprepared and in some respects amateurish.
The BBC appear to have picked up on this aspect, describing it as a debate between a lawyer and a salesman, with the lawyer winning her case.
I have come to the conclusion that Clinton is in with a good chance of winning, not because of her virtues or her skills in presenting them, but by means of BBC style repetition that Trump is racist, sexist Islamophobic, which goes down well with the snowflakes.

Only Hillary Clinton was labeled ” Extremely careless ” about national security by the FBI !

Only Hillary Clinton benefited from the DNC rigging an election !

Only Hillary Clinton said the Benghazi victims parents where lying.

Trump’s taxes are not an issue, as they will come out eventually. Moreover, they do not affect the security of the USA.Lets look at the destruction of some 30,000 Clinton emails. This destruction was taken when she knew she was under investigation, while standing for the presidency. Leaving aside for the moment of destruction of material evidence as a crime, her action mean that the NSA, and other agencies will never know what enemies of America know. If she had not destroyed the emails, at least America would know what the enemy knows. Hillary Clinton’s actions indicate she is careless on several issues that are of critical importance for a person aspiring to the highest public office1.
1. Upholding the law as a prequisite for holding high office.
2. Careless with sensitive state information
3. Still does not realise the seriousness of her actions, and how they affect national security.
Even if she is not elected as POTUS, she has damaged national security. Moreover, in such a way, that NSA etc, are unable to find out what the damage is.
If she does become POTUS, then NSA will not know how the office of POTUS has been compromised.Its a disaster either way.If she had any sense of patriotism, she would not have deleted the emails.
Her total disdain for security not only affects American security, but us in Britain, as America and Britain are closely tied on security and defence.
Trump missed his chance when Clinton mentioned his tax returns. He should have said: “I already emailed them to you”
Those who are going to vote for Trump are going to do so whatever he says or whatever the Clinton lot throw at him. I am sure they are the real people of the US not the flaky snowflakes and the rest of the liberal commentariat .
They are not stupid, as the BBc like to portray them ,but patriotic family people who want America back from those who are trying so hard to steal it and turn it into a third world hell hole. Yes they like their guns and the Constitution and why not?
Clinton stands for the big corporations and the minorities only. She has nothing to say to the
proper people of America just like the Corbyn lot have nothing to say to the shire people of England and Wales.
It will be close but sometimes right and justice prevails and in this case let us hope it does.

I watched the whole debate, and much as I dislike the woman and think she’d be a disastrous president, Hillary Clinton came away looking much more professional than Trump (who’d be even worse in the White House IMO).
Most of the polls that the Mail used to say that Trump won were online polls that take no care to verify who is voting, how often, etc. – they’re self-selecting and easy to bombard with supporters from one side or the other, so it’s probably wisest to ignore them whether they support Trump or Clinton.
And it’s not really a surprise that Breitbart’s poll shows Trump as a winner, is it? After all, it’s been 100% behind Trump from the outset, and Breitbart’s chairman is his campaign manager.
I’ve been following FiveThirtyEight quite closely, which is a good (and truly impartial, delivering good and bad news to both sides) source of info.
