Tom Watson not get the BBC memo?

Corbyn’s reaction as Tom Watson points at a heckler and says “Jeremy, I don’t think she got the unity memo.”

Clearly Tom Watson didn’t get the BBC internal memo to be nice to Corbyn…the Telegraph reports:

Ignore the talk of Labour unity – Tom Watson just humiliated Jeremy Corbyn

On Monday Seumas Milne, Jeremy Corbyn’s spin doctor, enraged a shadow minister by deliberately deleting part of his speech.

He must be wishing he’d deleted the whole of Tom Watson’s.

This afternoon, Labour members in Liverpool watched their deputy leader expertly undermine their leader – and then gave him a standing ovation. It was remarkable.  And because Mr Corbyn was sitting at a platform on stage, mere feet from Mr Watson, you could watch his reaction. It wasn’t hard to guess what he thought.

At the end, Mr Corbyn had no choice but to join the standing ovation, shake his deputy’s hand, and stand smiling and waving with him. Inside, however, he must have been fuming.

The leadership battle was supposed to end on Saturday. I’m not sure it did.

Funny though, if you read the BBC’S report of the same speech you’d think it was almost entirely harmless and not at all a blistering attack on Corbyn and his storm troopers:

Stop trashing Labour’s record, warns Tom Watson

Labour should stop trashing its record in government and start focusing on winning elections, deputy leader Tom Watson has warned.

In a speech to conference, Mr Watson said that attacking Tony Blair and Gordon Brown’s governments “is not the way to enhance our brand”.

“We won’t win elections like that. And we need to win elections,” he said, as he appealed for party unity.

Leader Jeremy Corbyn has been critical of parts of New Labour’s record.

That last line is the only hint that this might be a speech directed at Corbyn but there is no acknowledgment of how damaging this is for Corbyn or what a devastating attack it is for him.

    “trashing its brand”
A difficult task, restoring faith in brand lefty.
Insufficient attention was paid in the recent past by its HR department.
Previous leaders of Public relations include :-
    Vladimir Illych Ulyanov.
    Ioseph Vissarionovitch Dhugashvilli.
    Lev Davidovitch Bronstein.
    Chou en Lai.
    Mao Tse Tung.
    Nguyen Sinh Cung.
    Kim Song-Ju.
    Saloth Sar.
    Josip Broz.
    Mengistu Haile Mariam.
    Robert Gabriel Mugabe.
    Anthony Charles Lynton Blair.
    Angela Dorothea Merkel.
    . . .
    . . .

Perhaps a “Two for One” would restore their market share.
I would prefer a “Permanently Closing Down Sale, Everything Must Go”.

TS, good list and I’m sure they’re all considered to be heroes by the collectivists. I’d add to the list:
      Frank Marshall Davies
      Saul Alinsky
The founders of the Frankfurt School ( I think it was originally called the Institute for Social Research), especially Marcuse, Adorno and Horkheimer
      Georgy Lukacs
      Eric Hobsbawm

Unfortunately, this list could be much much longer and many of them are immigrants who abused and betrayed the sanctuary they were given to them by our country and the USA. It’s a shame we don’t use the same standards that the collectivists have because we’d be better off if they had all been shot; every collectivist man and woman.

Excellent lists above lads. For those of us with a sense of history, a fine source of Lefty evils.

BUT-as we stand at the gates of the dawning of 21st Century Socialism-let`s all give thanks to SIR EDWARD MILIBAND of Donnybrook Farm..who, near enough single handedly has handed Labour pigs trotters in a jiffy bag to the ghost of outer darkness.
A joyful rush of inspo from Miliband to enhance the membershit of the Labour Party …and now we have THIS dogs turd on a rice cake cracker that is the current vomit rocket of Labour preenings and flatus.
Without Ed and his £3 dealies…the Tories and UKIP might have had to work to win the next election.
AS it is Labour prepare for whatever elections in their heads might happen next year-so please don`t hate us until then eh?
Miliband-maybe Britains second greatest patriot after Nigel

There’s another to add, good old Pol. No, not Toynbee, Pot – though some would say she should qualify anyway, if she actually understood the pseudo-Marxist twaddle she spouts, rather than using Paul Mason etc. as book at bedtime references.

B, Mr Pot was born Saloth Sar. I’m assuming he changed his name for a reason; perhaps he liked taking drugs, lol.

On reflection, though, I’d add Milliband senior, who professed his hatred for our country despite us giving him and his family sanctuary.

Never knew that JinC but from his behavior I’d say he was on something stronger than weed.
Absolutely right about Milliband – the picture of our Naval hero slavering with Hobsbawn over their latest copies of Isvestia and Pravda brings the flavour of fresh dogturd to mind.

Seumas Milne is set to stand down as Jeremy Corbyn’s closest adviser by the end of the week, PoliticsHome has reported.

Mr Milne has been a controversial figure and at the conference here in Liverpool had been criticised for changing the autocue for the speech delivered by Clive Lewis, the shadow defence secretary, to remove a line about renewing the Trident nuclear deterrent.

It is reported that he will be returning to his role as a columnist at The Guardian.

A Labour spokesman said: “We don’t comment on staffing matters.”

….back to writing scripts for the BBC’s News at Ten then.

The Guardian you say? Well, at least that will qualify him regular slots on Newsnight so he won’t be too out of pocket.

Looks as though between us Number88 we’ve replaced his Labour Party fees with a bit on top. Do you think he’ll be grateful?
