Neither violent resistance from the dispossessed nor objections from abroad have brought successive Israeli governments to question, let alone alter the priority they assign to land over peace. Ironically, Palestinians too have developed a dependency relationship with America. This has locked them into a political framework over which Israel exercises decisive influence. They have been powerless to end occupation, pogroms, ethnic cleansing, and other humiliations by Jewish soldiers and settlers. Nor have they been able to prevent their progressive confinement in checkpoint-encircled ghettos on the West Bank and the great open-air prison of Gaza.
Absolutely no doubt whose side Freeman is on….let’s hope Clinton’s interest in his thoughts was merely academic.

She’s unhinged, all right. I gritted my teeth throughout that 2nd debate. After she’d smiled that fake smile of hers for the third or fourth time in response to Trump’s telling points – as if to say, “Look at how ridiculous this guy is” – I could no longer watch her.
Trump took a serious knock from that tape and I have a sinking feeling that she’s going to be president. God, if there is a God, help us.
She sported that sickly smile because she could hardly contain herself no doubt knowing that she has a lot more of the same to reveal about Trump. The General – you could be right. It seems that no matter how many revelations emerge re Clinton’s two-faced treachery of her own country for her personal enrichment, she remains ahead in the polls while Trump took a noticeable blow from that tape.
Trump’s support will never abandon him over something as nebulous as an 11 year old private recording. Likewise, Clinton’s support will never abandon her over something as serious as acid washing her emails, letting people due in Benghazi, taking pay for play contracts in the Oval Office, and just generally be involved an indefensible scumbag.
I’m all for listening to other reasoning and view points about the issues we have in the world right now, as I am not looking at this in self-preservation or for political gain like all of the modern day Judus’ who have hijacked the MSM and politics. Halal has never been a part of Italian culture and I intend to submit a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority for the banner at Beckton to be removed not only for promoting the inhumane treatment of animals and subverting the current legislation that only allows for Halal meat to be slaughtered for religious purposes but also because you are now fraudulently pretending to have an Italian heritage.

Thank you for doing that AL! the more people that complain, the better chance they get the message…or do they know something we don’t (that soon we will all be eating halal). I’m a veggie most of the time, but I do use restaurants with my family. I complained to KFC as I was insensed that they should force everyone to eat halal meat just to appease that religion. However, the reply was a pathetic brush off – they stand to make much more money from inner city areas that way. And I presume many of the other takeaway chains do the same. How long before pork and products are taken off the menus? I have also looked very hard to check about supermarket meat and they make it quite difficult to tell – you have to go to the website and look for the relevant information. I think halal meat should be clearly labelled, but they don’t want to do that because many people won’t then buy it.
It comes to something when decadent Westerners can’t even beat up their own Jews and Queers themselves, almost makes me ashamed to be a bigot. But in all seriousness, these stories just illustrate the increasing dis functionalism of the dominant Left/Liberal worldview. My generation, who inherited so much more than any previous one from our forefathers and made such a “god awful” mess of it, can only hope that our children and grandchildren are able to salvage some part of the great and wonderful heritage of European culture and civilization. There is a depressing theory going the rounds that the whole world is inevitably turning into Haiti. Lets hope that this is not so.
I’m finding it quite difficult to understand your point but let me try and put mine in reflection of your comments. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has for a long time supported the right to be different to the perceived norm. Homosexuality was decriminalised and in any case actual bodily harm has been a criminal offence for ages irrespective of which team you bat for.
We have had Jews living in harmony with their Gentile neighbours for centuries.
As for European culture and civilization? oh you mean the jungle? the rape fest in Scandinavia, the sexual assaults in Cologne? Britain and the British people have taken a stand that we wish no longer to be associated with the promotion of rape and sexual assault and I for one will be proud to call my self a Britain that puts our laws over those of Europe. A majority of US Jews traditionally supports the Democrats. I guess US Jews have failed to notice that the Obama/Clinton/Kerry combination has been disastrous for Israel. Or if they have noticed, they maintain that all will be sweetness and light if only Israel’s right-wing government will hand territory over to the Palestinians, notwithstanding the massive increase in terror attacks from Gaza after the withdrawal of every last Israeli settler.
