The ‘deep left’ Mary Riddell and someone from the Economist, the Economist which just printed a hatchet job on May, on the Today programme to discuss May, Brexit and ‘muddle’….no bias there then. The BBC failing to challenge Corbyn as he says he is not wedded to freedom of movement but, oh, hang on, demands we remain members of the Single Market which entails keeping freedom of movement…so pretty much wedded to freedom of movement just not to the truth….Jon Pienaar calls Corbyn ‘deep Left’…sorry what? The extremist ‘Far Left’ surely? The BBC once again covering for Corbyn. I’m sure there’s plenty more bias out there…..

Funny that when the FBI became involved in Hillary’s affairs they seemed to think the rumours were false.

Yep, just sling enough muck and some of it will stick. If I were in Trump’s position (not a euphemism), I would revoke the BBC’s press credentials in the US and let them project their “world renowned” news service using some other bugger’s patch.

If he bans them at this point, he’ll look thin skinned. Given them enough rope and they’ll hang themselves – it just a matter of time until they’re proven to be regurgitating fake news about Trump. At that point they can be banned and the BBC will have to beging stating why they’re banned before every report – “Footage courtesy of Fox News” (I can dream, can’t I?)

As part of the BBC’s racist white male hate campaign, they are amplifying the following non-story: “Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris ‘offended’ by casting of white actor to play him “. They currently have it ranked as their number one most popular trending news item:

Cast your minds back three weeks. The bBBC was reporting on how relatively low was business in the High Street before Christmas. Doom and gloom.
Must be due to the uncertainties over Brexit.
At the last count, lidl, argos, sainsbury’s, tesco, have, in the last few days, all reported sales ahead of their forecasts, some with record sales. And even Debenhams and M and S are showing growth.
Must be due to…..errrrr……………customers not listening to the biased BBC???

Oh the BBC have an answer, just this week a favoured guest analyst assured us good economic news this Christmas was a ‘last hurrah’ before the inevitably bad news in 2017. Brexit, dontcha know…

And while I am on it, builders like Taylor Woodrow are expecting profits at the high end of analyst expectations, and Persimmon are reporting strong sales, with Barratt likely to be the same. This sector got hammered straight after the vote but hey presto, it’s all OK.
Meanwhile, Carney is revising his forecasts – upwards.
I have this niggling non-economic theory that people, feeling free of the EU conformist straightjacket, are going to get more entrepreneurial and feel better about themselves. This pyschology will outweigh any number of economic technicalities. We’ll have to work hard, but it will be more Project Cheer than Project Fear.

Just read the following article in the BBC’s doom and gloom Brexit Armageddon series – this time infecting the Basketball section of BBC Sport:
“NBA commissioner Adam Silver has admitted uncertainty over Brexit and the UK’s future outside the European Union makes it hard to predict London’s chances of getting a franchise … Brexit is something we monitor very closely,” Silver told BBC Sport … I have been following Brexit but what it would mean in terms of placing a franchise in England I do not know. … Last June, Britain voted in a referendum to leave the EU by 52% to 48%.”
So basically the BBC run a non-story in the BBC Sports Basketball section about the concerns of Brexit for UK basketball participating in the NBA on the basis of someone who says he doesn’t know if Brexit will have an impact on the decision – which to me is a neutral response to a loaded question by a BBC Sport’s subversive. Not getting the positive response they were hoping for they still run the story. What feckers the BBC continue to be:

No the BBC (and presumably CNN and MSM) is not letting itself down in any shape or form in reporting this as if it were true – it totally plays up to their anti-Trump, anti-White, anti … etc activism that is now core to the BBC. It is the British public and Britain itself that they are letting down.

As far as the BBC is concerned Multiculturalism is definitely the image they want to project-one only has to look at the Midsummer Murders prog, which recently took part supposedly in a very small village in the UK, where about 80% of the actors & actressses were either black or asian-quite ridiculous, and it seems that all progs now must if there is a white face portrayed then there has to be a black/coloured one in as well. Even the advertisement ITV feature almost more coloured faces than white. In any outside interview, you can be certain that a coloured person and or a Muslim will be in the frame. It is for me not that these people are here but that the media et al perceive it be accepted practice. As there are Black only award ceromonies for whatever and no issue is made then there should be White only ceromonies with an issue. We are loooooosing our land to a new breed.

“As far as the BBC is concerned Multiculturalism is definitely the image they want to project”
But what they are really projecting is “multi racialism” because they don’t like hideously white anything. Having several different races in a drama does not guarantee several different cultures. Conversely, in theory they could have a cast consisting of one race but more than one culture.
At the end of the day, it’s about race, not culture, regardless of what they claim.
The snowflakes of the BBc don’t understand the difference between race and culture or nationality and race and culture. So they insert token ethnics into all situations under the impression that somehow this promotes their own brand of multiculturalism. Idiotic and unreal but reality is not part of a snowflake’s mental equipment.
Actually what the BBC are projecting is an extreme form of racism and sexism but spun in the classical Orwellian sense as their opposites.
So the BBC’s claimed anti-racism is in fact racism towards whites and in particular indigenous whites of Britain.
What they claim as anti-sexism is in fact sexism against men, in particular white British men and white American men.
BBC,
Spot on. And white British and American men are about the least racist and sexist people in the world. Funny how the BBC never describe muslim and Arab men as sexist. Also, I can say from personal experience, that black African men are some of the most sexist I have come across.

It’s actually a form of ethnic cleansing. Ethnic cleansing is not just about gangs of men with guns driving you from your home, it is also about denigrating people through false imagery and representation. It is more subtle, but conceptually there is no difference between the depiction of Jews in Die Stürmer and the over-representation of ethnic minorities in TV programming.

Not just the BBC, but every form of media from trivial adverts to blockbuster movies. Now, every time I see a non cis white male onscreen I imagine a committee of people sitting round a table ticking boxes on a check list. It’s just as bad for those who are being projected, I’m sure Idris Elba wouldn’t want to get a part just because he is black any more than Tom Hardy would be thrilled to loose a role because he is white. It is all the racism of low expectations, minorities must be given advantages because it is assumed they cannot do it on their own merit. Bollocks!
As for multiculturalism, nonsense. There is only one culture and that is British and it doesn’t matter what colour your skin is.

From the above regarding Christopher Steele and ‘those’ memos.
“The memos contain unsubstantiated claims that Russian security officials have compromising material on Mr Trump.”
Incredibly a little further into the article we get what appears to be an attempt to boost the credibility of Mr. Steele.
“He said he had been told by members of the intelligence community that Mr Steele was “extremely, highly regarded” and was thought of as “competent”.”
Er, evidence? Ok so within the secretive world of the intelligence community peole are unlikely to put their names into the public domain, even so, if Paul Wood couldnt verify it maybe he shouldn’t have used it. it is in essence just more ‘he said’ ‘she said’ tittle tattle.
The article also uses further unsubstantiated claims like,
“Mr Steele reportedly spent…”
” He is reported to have…”
Real double edged sword this fake news.

Trying to get a weather forecast and caught a few seconds of the VD programme around 1030.
It was a doomfest set of skypes from people who have had bad experiences with the NHS. Doom. Gloom.
This week’s anti government bBBC topic, as we know.
The NHs employs 1 million people and serves a 65 million population.
So it will never be hard to find some bad luck stories. That should be a no-brains given.
So the bBBC could choose to play this story any day, any time of the year, and would not have to try hard to get evidence to support their underfunding crisis narrative. In other words this is not really news at all, just the rant of the moment decided upon by the news editors to support their agenda.
Ironically some of VD’s callers went slightly off message and blamed uncaring staff rather than underfunding. Oops.
I’ll declare an interest. A close relative has been having NHS cancer treatment for the last 8 months and has received excellent care. The appointments system, integration between hospitals, sympathy of staff, dedicated cancer nurse as a point of contact, fast track card for A and E (as immunity system shot to pieces), even low cost tokens for car parking. It’s been remarkably good.
Strangely however, the bBBC somehow have managed to avoid asking us for our opinion. I wonder why?
Unfortunately, Sluff, if they had asked for my opinion the response would not have been favourable.
I’m not going to provide details of everything, but my family has experienced many instances of bad communication, money wasted through bad organisation, arrogant doctors who are unable to communicate like normal people, and the worst instance – a portable chemotherapy pump that was set up incorrectly and injected its contents within 24 hours almost killing my mother – that’s not an exaggeration. However, I’m sure “lessons were learned”, so that’s OK.
Hi Marion.
There is no disagreement between us. I have examples of poor care too. The point is that the bBBC choose a narrative and agenda for their own purposes.
But I note that your bad experience seems to have only a modest amount to do with funding and more to do with basic levels of professionalism. Again, unlikely to be reported by the bBBC.

“and more to do with basic levels of professionalism”
Yes, absolutely.

They won’t dare try and get to the grey areas of ‘senior management’ in the NHS. They’ll be told to sod off by fat cats taking huge wedges for doing very little.
Naaah, it’s always easier to interview a poor nurse after an eighteen hour shift, then an orderly on a small wage, and say it’s all the government’s fault.
But then, what has the bBeeb got to do with proper investigative journalism?

And bad communication has nothing to do with funding and everything to do with good practice and employing competent people that are fluent in English – including clear written English (!). The BBC always project that the “answer” to a “failing NHS” is to throw more money at it and to employ more “foreigners”.

France elections: What makes Marine Le Pen far right?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-38321401
Well worth a read if you’ve got five minutes, I’ve been wondering for a while exactly why the BBC like to portray Le Pen as ‘far right’ when she’s not really perceived that way by many in France (a decidedly left leaning country in most matters). Having read quite a lot of what she’s said over the last few years I can’t see any justification for the ‘far right’ label either, sure her father was/is quite out there with some of his comments, but it’s not fair to pass blame down through the generations really is it?
Anyway, as far as I can see from this article, despite the misleading title, the BBC can’t even justify why they call her ‘far right’!

Today left and far right refer in practice to attitudes towards Islam. Hence the EDL are portrayed as far right racists for their objections to sharia and Islamic doctrines. So with Marine le Pen who objects to the Islamization of France. Meanwhile the BBC and its Prime Minister depict criticism of Islam as extremist and far right.

Something you won’t probably see on AlBeeb.
This from Guido’s site.

EU Faces Funding Cliff Edge
(There was a nice graphic here but can’t get it to load – sorry.)
All this talk of Brexit being a cliff edge for Britain ignores the other side of the coin, it is a funding cliff edge for the EU. Excluding Germany, Britain’s contribution is more than the total net contribution of the 26 other EU states combined. Guido will repeat this: add up the debits and credits of every member state from France to Poland bar Germany and it comes to a figure less than Britain’s EU contribution. Britain’s exit will be a massive budget hit to the EU…
Guido has been saying since the referendum that this will be the year world opinion will shift from “What the hell have the Brits done?” to “The EU is in trouble without Britain.” Mark Carney said similar yesterday. When negotiating it will be important to remind them that a bad deal or no deal could see the UK stop the flow of pounds immediately. That is the EU’s budgetary cliff edge…
38 likes
And no-one is talking of EU waste anymore – in particular the Common Agricultural Policy which created the various food mountains that were put into landfill or dumped onto world markets – which was and still is particularly damaging to African economies. The majority of the EU contributions still go into supporting this system.

‘EU’s budgetary cliff edge…’
I’ve always been pessimistic about us actually achieving deals with the EU – whether we were in with Cameron or on the way out with May. Deals are always last minute and always some Belgian regional assembly or Italian tomato grower collective wants to backtrack and overthrow the whole thing.
When all said and done there’s only one thing the Brussels lot want from us – cash contributions
Now other EU members (the one rich one – Germany) may want trade deals and access to our huge consumer market plus ‘free movement’ (for the poor ones) to relieve their own big unemployment problems and to continue the flow of cash transfers in migrants’ earnings and benefits from the UK.
We should cut to the chase. Don’t waste two years. Get out now. Weather any short term market panic spasm. It would be short-lived. Sanity would soon prevail. Let the poor countries come to us with their begging bowls. Let Germany come to us with some mutually beneficial trade deal.
Soap,
I have said before that the UK should withhold all contributions until a settlement is reached and then pay the agreed amount as a final payment. That should concentrate their “minds”.

The other factor to be borne in mind is that Merkel faces an election this year, it is absurd to think that she will go along with EU Brexit negotiations which would damage the German economy and put Germans out of work; as she is already embattled due to the consequences of her immigration policy.
The EU is dominated by Germany and as such it functions to benefit that country’s economy uber alles. The U.K. is in an enviable negotiating position as regards the EU, we just need the right negotiators.

I suspect that we’ll get a much quicker exit from the EU if Marine Le Pen can manage to win later this year. With the prospect of another big player leaving this socialist redistribution scheme I’m sure it will all spectacularly implode before our procrastinating PM can bother to get her arse in gear!

Just a thought but it may be that the left-liberal media including the BBC will soon be regretting their recent relentless pushing of the slogan ‘fake news’
If ever there was a self-defeating slogan it’s this one. Like margarine producers encourging us to use the phrase fake butter.
We know why they did it. They just couldn’t accept that Trump won the US election. The Marxists used to employ the phrase ‘false consciousness’ to explain how come us plebs always voted against them. Now suddenly it was ‘fake news’. Very trendy, very internet age, very of the moment – but oh dear BBC, you’ve really hung a millstone round your own necks with this one.

To some from the Emerald Isle the term ‘Brits’ delivered through clenched teeth and a hail of spit followed by ‘go home’ was very much meant as an insult and hate speech.

So Eastenders have a cockney landlord using the word ‘itie’ to describe an italian or was it italian food? and some people don’t like it. Do they live in the real world? have they heard real eastenders speak, if they have then they would realise that there are a lot more stronger utterences that emanate from the mouths of these people than the BBC would allow on their soap.

Must just mention, in the NHS underfunding context, the report this week of a doctor about Coeliac disease.
Patients get gluten free food on prescription, so some pay absolutely nothing. For food.
Our finest NHS procurement professionals, using their attuned negotiating skills, and giant NHS buying power, buy sachets of gluten free pasta for about £8.
Which may have been fine about 30 years ago. But today? You can buy gluten free products in Tesco, for instance, where a sachet of gluten free pasta is….errrr…..£3 !!!!!!
But do not worry about any prospect of doing anything sensible on this. There is, of course, a pressure group/ charity Coeliac UK, ready to protest agInst any change, and of course they can be sure to rely on the bBBC to showcase the heartlessness of the governement in the unlikely event that any sensible change is made, such as telling people to go shopping like everyone else does.
Just an aspect of the ‘NHS underfunding crisis’ that might not get mentioned by the bBBC.
The annual bill to the taxpayer is £26 million.
Small beer? Those exact same ‘NHS procurement professionals’ are of course spending billions of our tax pounds on all the other products and services. We’ve probably forgotten but should remember the cost of changing a light bulb in a hospital built under the Labour Party’s private finance initiative. I think it was about £200.

When pushed to provide an example of what would happen in the NHS should it not get extra funding the BBC guest expert this morning had to think for a moment and replied ‘Well, there will have to be changes in what the NHS offers… er… IVF treatment for example”
Now there may be a debate about IVF on the NHS with arguments both for and against. Personally I won’t take a categorical view one way or the other – but would be more comfortable that such treatments were freely available if I could be more reassured about the contributory nature of funding. What I mean is that I would prefer to see the outlook of the NHS being rather more in tune with the community paying for it in their taxes – rather than what seems to be an increasingly NGO-type outlook typified by the Red Cross recently bleating about some Humanitarian Crisis. The NHS is not an activist charity or campaign or lobby group. It is supposed to be the British nationalised health insurance scheme.
I’m guessing that the BBC guest was trying to measure his reply to his audience and assumed – as usual – the BBC had the Mumsnet demographic. IVF being the natural red flag issue there.

Here we go again:
Britain’s black history has been shamefully whitewashed
“…have I been fortunate enough to review a 600-page book on the subject, published to accompany a recent major BBC documentary.”
Of course it has.
There are thousands of photographs and a surprising amount of film of ordinary British people such as factory workers, in ordinary situations, taken decades ago when both technologies were relatively new. Guess what? They’re all white.
This fool must have failed GCSE Maths because he clearly doesn’t understand percentages, or the meaning of the word “infinitesimal”.
And to suggest that we are not aware of these issues when they have been rammed down our throats for years is absurd.
I’m half Chinese, ethnically speaking, but I have no problem calling England a white country. It just is, even if Shakespeare popped out for a sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice from time to time. If I decide that England isn’t Chinese enough, I’ll bugger off to China, where such attitudes belong. I’m sure a complaint that China isn’t English enough for me would be treated sympathetically.

Wronged,
She is just another BBC leftist peddling the same old lies and distortions. It is concerning that she is appearing more and more often on the DP. It used to be Mon, Tues, Wed but now she pops up on Thurs and Friday on occasion . I suppose the BBC just want rid of Brillo , after all he actually is objective and impartial and so there won’t be room for him in the post truth world of the BBC.
I watched Sky with Bolton this morning and it was so funny watching the outrage caused by Trump calling CNN a bunch of liars. The liberal left media have been spinning away for 30 years, telling us lies , suppressing the truth and when someone in power calls them to account they are apoplectic. They just don’t understand that millions of people in the West have seen through their lies and now believe nothing the MSM say . Their credibility is zero. The likes a of Breitbart are much more trusted than the BBC by an increasing proportion of people. Trump should use his power to open the internet to as many views as possible and ensure that people have access to as wide a range of news and opinion as possible and not just the liberal left propaganda provided by the MSM. Once the truth is out there people will realise that the liberal left globalists have been working against them and the MSM have been instrumental in this deceit.

What’s that ‘Stop’ sign all about?
‘Stop’ sign? It’s ‘No Entry’ of course!
Seriously, if you Google ‘French Stop Sign’ it is scary how many Americans have posted pictures of the ‘No Entry’ sign on their blogs. (There is a false story on the web that the only ‘Stop’ sign in Paris is at the exit to a builders yard – which must mean then that Spiral was, like the Doctor Who ‘quarry’, all filmed in that one place!).
The ‘European’ ‘Stop’ sign is an interesting example of how international negotiations go. The aim had been to get the North Americans to adopt the so-called ‘International’ road signs so as a concession the rest of the world adopted the US octagonal sign. At which point the US said “thanks, but no thanks”, and made no changes of their own. The other strange thing is that the ‘insular’ French adopted the US sign Stop-n’ all, while their long-lost cousins in Quebec insist on ‘Arrete’.

Yes, never an embarrassing photo of Bath House Barry. This photo could go with today’s story of opposition by a Jewish golf club to Barry’s application for membership. I have not seen the story on the BBC yet.

I think that’s a great picture!
1) Two fingers up – nice one!
2) Just about to say an expletive, then holding back because there are ladies present!
3) No Entry sign on the dais – keep clear bozos, there’s going to a President with balls this time over, and that means keep your goddam moths buttoned on stuff you don’t understand, BBC and CNN.
It was a marvellous performance, already sweeping aside the socialist dross which has clogged the US for so long (well, eight years anyway).

I’ve been puzzled why the Prime Minister and Government have not called out the BBC for their blatant misreporting of events in the US, ranging from support for BLM, Occupy, and non stop misleading reports on Trump. Surely this is damaging the US/UK relationships, even if it does not appear to embarrass Treezer and Boris.
Then I came across this which warns that Trump’s good relations with Putin indicates a US Russian alliance against Europe and that Britain’s place should be with Europe.
Perhaps this explains Treezer and Boris’s tacit support for the BBC’s anti-US post Barak campaign and their reluctance to move on Brexit.
I, for one, do not believe this Government intends to implement Brexit.

It contains, inter alia –
Bill Emmott – Leftist former ‘Economist’ editor and EU fanatic, maker of slanted pro-EU docufakery
Will Hutton – Leftist former CEO of ‘The Work Foundation’ which pontificated about work/workers and then failed because he hadn’t kept their pension fund solvent, and former Observer editor
Anatole Kaletsky – Leftist former Telegraph business journalist, once quite good but discredited recently
I’m willing to bet the rest are just as useless.

The police guidelines below are quoted by the BBC, as they desperately try to stoke up the non-story of Amber Rudd NOT being investigated for a hate crime.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38597714
_____________________________
The BBC report says this :
“However, it had to be recorded as a “non-crime hate incident” in accordance with police national guidelines.
These state: “Where any person, including police personnel, reports a hate incident which would not be the primary responsibility of another agency, it must be recorded regardless of whether or not they are the victim, and irrespective of whether there is any evidence to identify the hate element.””
_____________________________________
So that’s why there are so many hate crimes recorded. Even if there is no evidence of hate, even if the ‘victim’ doesn’t agree there has been hate, even if the police themselves don’t think hate is involved, it is still recorded as a hate crime.
So, if I accuse the BBC of a hate crime for maligning Brexit voters, then that is recorded as a hate crime against the BBC. Interesting, now where do I get a hate form application

Have you thought that applying for a hate crime application form to record hate from the BBC might be construed as a hate crime against the BBC, thus clocking up the number of post Brexit hate crimes.

RE Trump vs CNN
I lost faith in CNN a long time ago when I was working in Indonesia around 2001. Reporter claimed to be live from the hotel I was in (Mandarin Oriental Jakarta) viewing a riot. Looking down from my window I saw one truck with five people in it waving flags and banners going round a roundabout several times before driving off.
During same week they filmed a demonstration outside the US Embassy later claiming it to be a “massive” demo. I was watching them film from a traffic jam out side the Embassy (normal for Jakarta at that time of day). There could not be more than 20 -25 people standing quietly.
Not exactly Cairo or Tripoli. Since then I believe nothing they say and check it myself.

It’s quite funny that the BBC and Obama felt that social media was their turf, and have now been obliterated on it.
Obama and Michelle blubbing as First Daughter revises for her D grade at Oxford in Polly Studies at best increases the Kleenex order at W1A and ‘the one true President’s’ ta-ra address went down like a bucket of warm sick as Don’s ‘astonishing’ admonition of fake media sidelined what was left.
The dangerous thing is that there is now no sensible means of holding the power of POTUS to account, thanks mainly to such as the Dems and US liberal media. Oh, and the BBC. A bit like Labour, Libs, Greens and liberal media here. Oh, and the BBC. Note the Lowest Common Denominator (clue: it is uniquely funded, with the support of the Tory Government of the UK, by compulsion).
Trump could decorate Mrs Merkel in a burkha with bacon live on Breibart and if ‘reported’ by the BBC or CNN most would simply say ‘Just another stitch up… or Don being Don’.
Morons.

“I know this because the Washington political research company that commissioned his report showed it to me during the final week of the election campaign.
The BBC decided not to use it then, for the very good reason that without seeing the tape – if it exists – we could not know if the claims were true. The detail of the allegations were certainly lurid.
The entire series of reports has now been posted by BuzzFeed.”
So how does he know it’s ‘the entire series’?
And why is he relying on Buzzfeed? He’s supposed to be paid to do his own ‘investigations’, not just copy and paste stuff by other dubious crowds of teenagers.
Very poor and weak. Not a good sign.

When is somebody going to step up to the fµcking plate and sort our country out?
We are not an insignificant player on the world scene yet the nannies and the liberals have dragged us into the quagmire of mediocrity.
You can’t say shit without offending someone.
You can’t do shit ’cause it’s not good enough.
You can’t earn too much and you can’t earn too little.
History must be re-written to include people who were probably never there in the first place.
We must include people in art regardless of talent but of percentages.
If some don’t like democracy they stamp their feet because they lost.
We can’t deal with bad weather so we capitulate before the war has even started.
We now need weather warnings – just say it will be windy – people will get it!
Incredibly, people in the performing arts community think they represent the hard-done-by in our society – while earning megabucks and sipping champagne.
The media are politicised, allowed to make ‘fake news’, hide behind the veil of freedom of expression, and nobody does jack shit.
We have to pay for the biased bbc.
The media complain when the west gets involved in the middle east and complains when they don’t.
The media have not taken reporting to a new level, they have taken deception to a new level – muslim terrorists are not muslim terrorists they are just men, lorry drivers, mentally ill, radicalised, yada yada yada. Anything except muslim terrorists.
The media now headline denials to circumvent litigation but get the point across nonetheless – ‘man denies beating wife’. Damage done, no comebacks.
The police have to tread on eggshells with muslims but the media still rip into them when they arrest black people for crimes they are guilty of.
Known Asian criminals posing in front of Lambourginis are fine, if they are carrying firearms they are victimsed, assassinated.
Muslim refugees are our problem, a western christian society, not Saudi Arabia’s problem, not Qatar’s problem – ours.
The EU is a failed state but we can’t leave in some people’s view. (the fact that it’s so hard to leave is the very reason we must leave.
Our prosperity attracted genuine talent from overseas while our liberal benefits system attracted the dregs. But you can’t say jack otherwise you are racist. If you curb benefits – well don’t bother ‘ cause it’s wrong in the eyes of the something-for-nothing socialists.
We don’t like the Germans and the French don’t like us. All those wasted years trying to conceal the truth?
If you want to leave the EU you are old or uneducated or both.
The media tell us the country is divided by brexit by going round the country dividing people.
So I say again – When is somebody going to step up to the fµcking plate and sort our country out?
It won’t be Theresa freaking May.
It won’t be time-warp Corbyn.
It won’t be Tim ‘does you mother know you’re out?’ Farron.
Anyone?

Well, Frank Gardiner certainly does. According to what he said on BBC1 at One, he thinks the likelihood is that this is “another Weapons of Mass Destruction” Chinese whispers scenario.
Though interestingly, this view was only aired after much gleeful recapping of all the salacious details using the long-discredited “Leading with Rebuttal” reporting technique (real journalists know that’s a last resort), photo-montage showing Trump as an Evil Villain, repeating words like “compromised” and “extraordinary” and worst of all, cramming in as many predictions of a disastrous and dangerous presidency as possible. BBC: you too are compromised now.

Dover,
Not on the BBCs PM were it was number one item. The BBC is claiming that it is self evident that the dossier is the work of the Russians. But we know that the British chap who compiled it was paid by the Democrats to do so. The BBC claims that even if the allegations are wholly false , great damage has been done to Trump and that his position is undermined. What the BBC doesn’t say or ask is who benefits from that undermining? It can hardly be the Russians whose alleged bckmail scheme of Trump Is now public knowledge and therefore useless. No , its those who oppose President Trump back in the USA. People just like the BBC , liberal lefties who , as we are seeing with Brexit, will stop at nothing to overturn a democratic election which threatens their elite status. This whole thing is just an attempt by the liberal left and their pet dogs in the MSM to undermine Trump with fake news.
If anyone thought that democracy was triumphant with Brexit and Trump’s election, think again , the war is raging, the left are fighting dirty and this is only their opening shot!

That view was also expressed by a BBC ‘correspondent’ on the lunchtime news and I am struggling to follow the logic which seems to be you can do damage to someone’s position even if you’re accusations are wholly untrue…?!
Or maybe it reveals how much the BBC is in tune with the leftist mindset and their tendency to play the man and not the ball hoping that some of the shit will stick, regardless of the truth. Come to think of it the BBC are pretty good at it themselves…

Did anyone see how Trump treated the BBC reporter? He is discussing the substantive issues of his presidency such as the Supreme Court and his cabinet – the things any incoming administration should be talking about. Then a BBC chump asks some nonsense about Russia and Trump just swats his question away with contempt in a second then asks for a question from someone else. It reminded me of when a class has been misbehaving and getting away with murder as a weak teacher has been in charge. Then a proper teacher comes in and instantly takes control; the naughty kids shrink and everyone gets down to business.

The BBC’s Amol Rajan (Media Editor) asks a question:
Was Buzzfeed right on Donald Trump dossier?
Hmmm. Which way do we think this is going to go?
“…I opened this post with a question which I will not answer – partly because I work for the BBC and it is not my place to pass judgement on other news organisations’ editorial calls and partly because those editorial calls are subjective.”
*sigh*
“…Editorial judgement is ultimately a moral activity. It is an exercise in selection – which stories, facts, claims, pictures, words, ideas to publish, and which to leave out – that relies on several smaller judgements.”
And I think we all understand by now how the BBC exercises its ‘subjectivity’ – especially when it comes to Donald Trump. Still, on we go…
“…I know from personal experience that, if you are a digital publisher whose content is free, you mainly make money from advertising, which is related to traffic and which you are under immense pressure to generate. This ultimately commercial imperative can – and does – influence the editorial judgement of many publishers. But let us be charitable to Buzzfeed and say that commercial considerations did not influence this editorial decision.”
Very generous of you, Amol. A bit like handing out free passes, right?
“…Buzzfeed, as a powerful international brand, is now clearly associated with a willingness to publish information it knows could be false…”
They have now been conflated with Buzzfeed under Trump’s pernicious umbrella term “fake news”.
Okay – now Amol’s just telling outright porkies. Trump didn’t coin the term ‘fake news’ – that was something the liberal-left media confected and ran with (incessantly) immediately after Hillary’s total defeat in the Presidential election.
“…It will be for editors and citizens everywhere to decide, in balancing Buzzfeed’s intentions with the (largely foreseeable) consequences, whether it made a correct editorial judgement. That in turn depends on your moral position – your commitment to truth and so on.
And since we are all well aware of the BBC’s ‘commitment to truth’ (aka: unless it’s the right kind of truth it either doesn’t exist or it never happened), I think we know just where Amol – and presumably the BBC – stands on this issue.

How it must chafe these regressive morons to see Trump triumphant. It simply will not do.

Rajan (or maybe one of the website’s subbies) is even more dishonest than you portray. The article – in the Entertainment and Arts section of the BBC website – is headlined (as you quote) “Was Buzzfeed right on Donald Trump dossier?”. It is this headline which is also set out (as clickbait I assume) in the Home section of the site. However the actual (claimed) purpose of Rajan’s golden prose was in the first header (in bold) in the article itself “Was Buzzfeed right to publish the Trump dossier?”.
Why the difference? The sole, possibly legitimate (but, in reality, farcical), reason for the difference is lack of space on the site to substitute “to publish” for “on”. More probably – I would say certainly – the only possible explanation for the difference between the headline and the actual topic discussed in the article is the BBC’s aim to keep muddying those waters by implying that the crapola released by Buzzfeed might have been true and accurate after all. Nice!

Listening to R4 tonight it seems as if the BBC has been told that it is finished in the US and has reacted with snowflake tantrums. It’s portrayal of Mr Trump is quite bizarre. We are told that the voters have only one image in their minds of him now. How the hell does the BBC know that? Pure drivel and the good old boys who put Trump in power could take on 100 snowflakes with 10 and think the odds quite easy. Washington is nothing to them. And a word of warning to the elite trying to destroy Trump. These good old boys are very well armed and very keen on the flag and the constitution. They are also the National Guard.
Sometimes it looks as if so furious is the elite that it is mounting a slow motion coup. Very dangerous in my opinion and no doubt the BBC is fully on board.
Mr Trump must be told that the BBC is his enemy and cannot be reasoned with. It looks as if he knows this. I hope so as the BBC is going down a dangerous road and could affect the future of this country and it’s most important ally.

Dave S I heard that bizarre tosh until I switched off after hearing some garbled boloney along the lines of “even if it isn’t true it’s doing damage and Russia is the common thread.”
Dear beeboids, one question….in recent years we have seen mass killings committed in the West including gun attacks, truck attacks and stabbings and we are told that many more of the same are being foiled by the intelligence services, we have also seen sexual assaults and child abuse on an industrial scale.
Are the perpetrators connected in anyway to Russia or are they connected to someone else?
Stop trying to tell us that Russia is our problem and that the US having a closer relationship with Russia is a bad thing for the West.
That lie suits someone else’s agenda…..but its certainly not the Wests.

I wouldn’t like to be in Christopher Steele shoes right now. His firm was hired by some one to find dirt on Trump who no doubt wanted that dirt to be kept on a strictly need to know basis to be used later to blackmail Trump. Now his report is all over the media and Steele has gone into hiding. The narrative is he is hiding from the Russians, but why would the Russians mean him any harm? He has done nothing to them, how would they benefit? You can be sure that Trump will want a word with him and no doubt once Trump is in the driving seat the CIA will be tasked with finding him sharpish, but not to do him in. Rather Trump will be quite keen to know who paid Steele to dig the dirt in the first place. So if Steele has anyone to fear, it is his client, the only person who would possibly want to harm Steele would be the person or persons who hired him to dig the dirt in the first place.

It seems to me that Christopher Steele was doing a similar thing as Nick Clegg did with the Tuition Fees. Clegg when he made his promise (he can lie in five languages you know) not to raise the fees thought that he would never be in a position (of power) where it would have any affect on anything.
Christopher Steele used whatever creditability he had from being exMI6 to charge a group of wealthy fanatics a lot of money for material so lurid and improbable that he must have counted on it never again seeing the light of day.
Now that it has he finds himself exposed. Serves him right!

Steele’s story doesn’t hold water.
He claims Trump had several prostitutes go number one on his bed in the presidential suit of a hotel in Moscow. The justification for this was that Obama and Mrs Obama had spent a night in that bed on a previous occasion and that Trumps hatred of Obama was such that he defiled the bed with working girl wee wee. Steele further claims that the hotel was well known to be infiltrated by the Russian security service, and this is why he believes Moscow has video of the piss up.
Fatal flaw in the story; if the hotel was known to be infiltrated by Moscow spooks, why would the US secret service allow Obama to stay there? Surely POTUS would stay in the US embassy, not a hotel run by an enemy security service.
Or am I just being rational again? Must stop that…

Probably way off of the mark, and I hate to add a conspiracy theory, however let me pose the following.
What if this is a setup by the Government.
Government tooth less when it comes to going head to head with a aunty beeb, however allow them to pick up something so “up their street” that they can’t resist it. You know that their fact checking is minimal, and what better way to give them rope to hang themselves? Then once the dust has settled from the now globally discredited organisation, step in to put them out of their misery and ingratiate yourselves with the previous victims of the fake news. Could be a very good way of looking favourable and making amends for your own previous misdemeanours against the victims. Gets an unofficial political opponent out of the way whilst also presenting a great scapegoat for many past reports.
Like I said, probably fantasy, however this whole thing seemed false somehow, with too many obvious questions not given even a cursory attempt at being answered.
