“The BBC is embroiled in a fresh Brexit bias row after a study found that just one in six contributors to the Radio 4 Today programme’s business news slot in the six months after referendum saw the result as positive for Britain.
A report by News-watch into the BBC’s coverage on Brexit covering the six month period after the referendum vote found overwhelmingly negativity about Britain leaving the EU. The findings suggest BBC has breached its own impartiality rules, the campaign group said. There were three times more pro-Remain contributors to the business new slot than Leave-supporting experts.”

Anyone who has listened to Aussie Dom reading the business news on Today will believe the 1 in 6 statistic. His equivalent on TV is Andrew Verity, an anti- Brexit doomster if ever there was one. I suppose that their defence will be ” I was only obeying orders.”

The BBC often talks about the “rightous ” anger of EUrocrats and other luminaries ( we don’t know the thoughts of ordinary Europeans ) .
What about the iniquitous situation of Britian placing troops in other countries to protect them , then there is talk of these countries punishing us for Brexit ?
And taking their tired , their huddled masses of unemployed and giving them a job at our expense ?

Feedback this week has discussed the ‘Brexit Balance’.
It seemed to me that Kamal Ahmed, who was doing the defence for the BBC, had difficulty in telling the difference between reporting and speculating.
There wasn’t any comments made about the style of ‘reporting’ either; the dog dies because of Brexit, the cat survives in spite of Brexit. No reporter working for the BBC would be any good at playing poker.

Sorry but there is absolutely no bias on the BBC’s business programmes....
‘A BBC spokesman said: “This flawed analysis is from a group with a slanted perspective and the BBC’s coverage has impartially presented an accurate reflection of the business community’s viewpoints.
“The BBC has and will continue to cover Brexit in a responsible and impartial way independent of political pressure.
“The job of impartial journalism is to scrutinise the issues and interrogate the relevant voices, not advocate for a position. It’s precisely for this reason that the public trusts the BBC.” ‘

A characteristically arrogant reply from the BBC. They really do believe they are untouchable and a law unto themselves – which is hardly surprising.

So, just to be clear, the BBC does not advocate for a position.
Well, there’s no need for this site anymore.

It is not just the opinions of those they chose to interview, it’s the way that Antipodean host of the business news frames the questions.
