Outwith toffs who could and do afford to bring cases of libel and slander the idea that the opinions of ordinary people could be considered criminal would make the Stasi proud. How long before children are encouraged to inform on their parents? What have we come to?
The German state is implementing extraordinary new measures to silence dissent about the importation of more than a million new Third World “refugees” into Germany. Apparently the illiberal practices already in place are not having enough of a deterrent effect, so the child welfare agencies are now (sep2015) authorized to remove children from the custody of parents who post “hate speech” about immigrants on Facebook.
Whoever posts xenophobic sayings and slogans on Facebook is essentially gambling with their own children. There doesn’t even have to be a concrete (perceived hate?) criminal offense for a court to judge the welfare of the child as endangered…
The Germans are, of course, entitled to do whatever they like in their own country. The worry is that owning the EU, as they do, their pathological obedience to authority will be enforced throughout the member states.
What a good job we are leaving (even of we may have to defenestrate Treezer to achieve it, as we well might).
GCooper, it was not the fact that Germany wanted millions of migrants to enter their country – that is their own business as a sovereign state – it was the way they bullied and cajoled other countries into accepting them as well that was a deciding factor in my vote on Brexit.
Gaxvil – reminds me of the joke, How many Germans does it take to change a lightbulb? Two, one to change it and the other to check with the council if it is permitted to do so on a Wednesday.
I’d be quite happy to see anyone in uniform, at least once in a while. Preferably a policeman who looks more like Clint Eastwood than like Laurel, Hardy, or that Izzard thing.
I see police cars occasionally, usually going fast so that I’m not sure whether it is in fact police, or just “motorway maintenance”, BBC licence fee enforcement, or something or other.
Our local police station now says “Prezzo”. Perhaps that’s EU speech for police. Hope some dusky Spaniard doesn’t turn up in our high street with a new delivery of butane cylinders.
My Lord – our local police, when we see them, drive cars that look like lit-up Battenburg cakes and dress like Bosnian paramilitaries, with equipment belts with more gadgets than Batman!
Say, did the Toady program really give leftist wackjob John Snow a platform to preach about the wonders of impartiality, without asking him about his ‘F*** The Tories’ moment?
“KingEric • an hour ago
Everyone knew he was a left wing twat before he got caught saying “fuck the Tories” so if he thinks some poxy self congratulatory interview with another biased twat will change anything, he’s even more stupid than I thought. Tosser.”
“Even when individual authors do not adhere to the bias of AP Style, it often doesn’t matter. If they submit an article to a mainstream media outlet, they will likely see their words edited to conform. A pro-life author who submits a piece taking a position against abortion will see the words ‘pro-life’ changed to ‘anti-abortion,’ because the AP Stylebook instructs, ‘Use anti-abortion instead of pro-life and pro-abortion rights instead of pro-abortion or pro-choice.’ It goes on, ‘Avoid abortionist,’ saying the term ‘connotes a person who performs clandestine abortions.'”
“Words related to terrorism are sanitized in the AP (Associated Press) Stylebook. Militant, lone wolves or attackers are to be used instead of terrorist or Islamist. ‘People struggling to enter Europe’ is favored over ‘migrant’ or ‘refugee.’ While it’s true that many struggle to enter Europe, it is accurate to point out that they are, in fact, immigrants or refugees.”
“The Associated Press (AP) is an independent, not-for-profit news cooperative headquartered in New York City. Our teams in over 100 countries tell the world’s stories, from breaking news to investigative reporting. We provide content and services to help engage audiences worldwide, working with companies of all types, from broadcasters to brands.”
– More than half the world’s population sees our content every day.
– Two-thirds of our staffers are journalists.
– Our teams operate in 263 locations worldwide.
And this is why language and words are so important, distort the truth of the words to reflect a world you want to be, rather than the world that is – you get a confused and angry society.
A particularly weaselly piece of house style used by the BBC to describe migrants is that they are ‘fleeing poverty’. Since to the Beeb and most lefty media, poverty is a relative concept, this means that most British people could turn up on the Swiss or Norwegian border demanding asylum, because they come from a poorer country.
For a quiet news day – i.e. One when there hasn’t Been mass murders by Islamic terrorists yet
It’s been vintage
Al Beeb celebrating that ONLY a quarter of a million foreigners have arrived in blight in the first 3 months of 2017. Brexit must have put the other 5 billion off.
Hattie Harman was interviewed by my Lord Hennessy for 45 minutes. Priceless . Abridged version is on at 9pm tonight . So awful it’s comedy.
And to top it all – I breached my own non al Beeb exposure – the admission by a broadcaster that he might be out of touch with common people who live in something called ‘Tower Blocks” . It might be good therapy to re listen to this on the iPlayer thingy if you can.
Perhaps some of the 250 thousand newly arrived can get a job on channel snow news ?
‘If you value your life keep the f*** out of Islam’: Loose Women star Saira Khan receives death threat after posting Instagram bikini picture and telling a Muslim preacher to ‘kiss my bottom’
– BBC Search reveals nothing at the moment {2017.08.24}, BBC not reporting such nasty hate?
– Is the Hate Incident towards the Muslim Preacher that which instigated the responding Hate? – Women shares holiday photo, religious women says it’s sinful, women says ‘kiss my bottom’, religious women sends death threat in the name of peace.
… behind Time paywall, but please remove all sharp objects whilst you learn:
The welsh assembly generously handed out 4 million quid of tax payers money to Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter to establish a TV company. The ladies promptly paid themselves 1.4 million pounds for their first year’s endeavours. And I am sure they agreed that they were worth every penny they paid each other.
Despite a turnover of £1.8 million and a gross profit of £520,000 during this time, administrative expenses of £3.7 million meant that the company made a loss of £3.1 million.
How on earth do the yanks make such brilliant tv programs without having their hand embedded in the pockets of the poor taxpayers?
How about a story of highest paid earner in the BBC Chris “£2.3m” Evans wrecked one of the best BBC money making programmes called “Top Gear” at a cost to the TV License Payer and gets a pay rise and uses the BBC to promote his own money making machine CarFest during charity programmes – thus linking his product to helping children for free.
On the BBC News home page is a photo of students getting their GCSE results. The photo had, of course, a Muslim girl wearing a hijab and the rest of the group was 4 other girls. No males. When you click away and back to the home page there is a chance the photo gets updated to a different one. The other photo has 5 different girls, no males, and the Muslim girl has been replaced with a black girl. The ethnic minority girl always has the left position.
BBC tick list…
1. No males – tick.
2. Ethnic minority in every bloody photo – tick
The subnormal IQs of agencies that genuinely believe it changes hearts and minds by featuring various minorities is mind numbing.
BTW why no men in frocks?
I’ve recently noticed the sudden increase in TV adverts that have mixed race families. Adverts for online dating seem to feature a black girl dating a white male.
The only time I see white couples in adverts is when they are advertising retirement/old age products.
It almost as if all the old people are white and racist whilst the young are happy, progressive and liberal.
Most of these advertising agencies simply don’t have a clue. I had this gem in a e-mail from Virgin Trains advertising visits to Birmingham.
“Feel the Brummy buzz in the UKs second largest city. A metropolis of culture and retail, Birmingham is the jewel in the crown of the Black Country.”
As a proud Black Country bloke I can assure Virgin Trains that any attempt to associate the Black Country with Birmingham is likely to result in the need for extensive dental treatment!
Even cartoon families in adverts show a very dusky bearded male with a very pale female. Considering the population is 80-20, its certainly 50-50 according to our advertising agencies. Yet no-one dare say anything ! The lunatics have taken over the asylum. If there’s a white, there HAS to be a black regardless. Funny then, how the paler you are on the Indian sub continent the more highly regarded you are.
Take a look at the ‘Tesco Food Love Stories’ campaign that they’ve been running in their stories. It features the favourite recipes of ‘ordinary’ people. Plenty of smiling black faces, ‘Asian’ faces, meditterranean types, homosexual couples, lesbian couples. It’s a vast panoply of people – few of these types ever seem to actually visit my local store – but I understand that demographics are different in urban areas and that Tesco need to sell their goods to everyone. But there is one glaring omission: there are no white, heterosexual couples on show. Ever. It’s called ‘ethnic cleansing by exclusion’. Tesco would do well to remember this and that, as they say, ‘other supermarkets are available’.
The problem is the difficulty of registering any sort of protest about this, very deliberate, propaganda campaign.
The executives at Tesco who approved the campaign will either be young university brainwashed types who nod in eager agreement when the ad agency shows them the images it is proposing to use, or older types, simply too scared to raise objections for fear of the ‘r-word’ being used and their retirement plans hurriedly brought forward.
This happens daily in offices all across the country, particularly in companies with strong HR departments (hotbeds of Leftism and feminazism) where BBC-think is enforced with a ferocity the NKVD would have envied.
The same is true of customers. How are you going to complain without sounding like Himmler? It is true that you can shop elsewhere, but that doesn’t send the message that needs forcibly sending, nor is it always even possible.
Somehow, this ‘right on’ stranglehold neds to be broken and smashed but so far no one seems to have worked out how.
“Featureless doll with no eyes, nose or lips?”
Oh, I don’t know. The BBC and Labour Party seem stuffed with dolls who feature no eyes, ears or mouths. For instance, they don’t see the mass rape of young women in our towns, or hear about it, or speak out about it if they do. (one notable exception this week, promptly elbowed out).
True – it continues to be dark, cold and wet in this summer so I just said to the young delivery kid, “Global Warming huh?”
Saints preserve us – he thought I was being serious – oh dear.
Grant
But of course, it’s not about winning new customers. Tesco have spent hundreds of millions in computer systems to monitor their stores and customers. Every store has a unique profile, which is used for stocking and determining the goods, based on demographics and sales and constantly updated. For instance, there is no demand for ethnic products where I am so the local store does not stock them, whereas there is a vast and exotic collection of everything under the sun in, say, in their Wembley Extra Store, as the population is more varied. So, there’s no reason why the large ‘Tesco Food Love’ posters in the entrances, which are updated weekly, shouldn’t reflect their clients, too.
Unless ‘Tesco Food Love’ really means ‘Tesco Britain Hate’…
Jack Cohen started Tesco with his army gratuity after his service in World War I. I doubt he’d like the way the company, and indeed the country, have changed.
PS: Is this hate speech? If so, should I report myself to the DPP, or just wait for the dawn raid?
……there are no white, heterosexual couples on show. Ever. ….. Not strictly true, unless Rob Brydon and Ruth Jones are of another persuasion ! but I know what you mean. The Sainsbury ad where outdoor eating is featured, there is only a long shot of one white face around a table of at least a dozen people.
Ive just been to tesco’s saw a blackman, been a while since i have, well dressed young fella, financial centre import probably,….. i just thought sheesh tesco’s has got the lot, from the 30 stone morbidly obese cashier to the disabled doorman, a blackman and cheescake at half price.
Pleased to see the boy Owen at least managed to align the buttons on his shirt with the button holes. Maybe now his mum will teach him the art of velcro fastening.

I listed her mainly exclusive appearances, I didn’t include all the extra appearances like when she was on R4Today, R5 etc. Edinburgh Book show etc.
StewGreen,
Its a bit like the Bond film, “Tomorrow Never Dies’. The plot is “……to stop Elliot Carver, a power-mad media mogul, from engineering world events to initiate World War III.” – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomorrow_Never_Dies
Ring any bells?
If there is one thing Harriet Harman is, it isn’t a ‘free thinker’. She is locked into an ideological corset as restrictive as her great grandmother’s stays.
Which means it’s not difficult to understand why the BBC worships the ground she walks on, for all that she isn’t so much destined to be a footnote in history as a flyblown spec on the page.
Stew
Come on lighten up – in days when albeeb doesn’t create comedy any more at least we have Hattie.
I wouldn’t know where to start with her ( me being a chap). Her MP union paid husband must be a very special person . Or deaf.
I remember her when she was a sweet you legal advisor to Pat Hewitt in the NCCL back in the seventies. A promising tax payer funded career of climbing the greasy east European guest worker .
As she was interviewed this morning I looked her up on wiki to remind myself about her support for PIE and prevent MPs expenses from being published and having to give money back when she got caught
Sending her three kids to grammar and selective schools
Getting done for speed on her way between her numerous home in town and country.
Oh Hattie – what a justification for mysogony you could be – see Hilary Clinton for the US version.
Nice to see al Beeb giving her air though. The hardest thing to believe was that some uni professor wanted to give her on to get her from a 2-2 (thick ) to a 2-1. Wonder who the poor sod was.? I might have thought about it for a first and a guaranteed ride on the taxpayer gravy train….
Not forgetting she doubted Blair, Blair wins elections, Blair’s great.
Warns about Jezza. Jezza does OK in an election, Jezzas the second coming.
Serious fence sitter.
To summarise within the last 7 months, the BBC has done 7 progs telling the life story of Harriet Harman
a total of about 4 hours.
In addition she’s been a panelist/guest on a number of shows like Graham Norton, Book shows etc.
And Blair sacked her. I seem to remember her website was hacked and she admitted that she had used ” Harriet Harman ” as both her username and password. Not the sharpest tool in the box !
– I only find this out this year, it was not spread very well in the press that press had phoned up celebrities phones and accessed their voice recordings by entering default passwords.
– A different story to using the word ‘hacked’ all the time rather than ‘illegally accessed by using a default phone passcode which should be always be changed when a phone is purchased.’
– ‘hacked’ sounds a lot more sophisticated and demonic, rather then relying on peoples stupidity and not reading instructions.
– Good news is phone voicemails no longer have default stupid passcodes.
That’s all the “phone hacking” scandal was: journos phoning the mobiles of so-called celebrities, and dialling in “123”or “000” when they got the voicemail. That’s it.
No-one gave a toss until the Guardian lied about the News of the World doing it to Millie Dowler’s phone and deleting messages. This was untrue, but it allowed the Guardian to get the News of the World shut down. As with all communists, the ends justify the means.
A useful graph creation tool to distinguish immigration into the UK from a country of origin perspective for the years, 2004 to 2015. https://www.migrationwatchuk.org/statistics-population-country-birth/#create-graph
The first supplied graph clearly shows that the bulk of immigration into the UK is from “non EU”. It is my belief that most who voted ‘Leave’ did so to stop immigration overall, little realising that coming out the EU would have no effect upon the disproportionate number arriving from outside the EU, mainly India and Pakistan.
G that is probably true – although a sovereign UK parliament after Brexit will have more chance of controlling immigration because it will not have to unconditionally accept people like Merkel’s Millions once they are given EU citizenship and will also be able to eject EU troublemakers like Roma gypsies etc. It will also not be subject to European court rules preventing the ejection of terrorists on grounds of human rights etc.
All this is of course assuming a. we get Brexit and b. there is the political will to implement sensible immigration policies, neither of which looks certain by any means! We may even get MORE non-EU immigration because globalists may claim there is some sort of post- Brexit labour shortage and will try to replace eastern European labour with workers from the third world.
Blimey if I were a gypo I don’t think the reich would be very high on my places to go list after what happened to them last time. I suppose the welfare has a bit of guilt built into it.
Cranmer – please don’t refer to our fellow Commonwealth citizens as “third world” you must know the balti restaurants cum health hazards are always bitching about lack of staff.
G – Don’t forget the irregular migrants!
“A complex, ruthless and multinational migrant-smuggling network has developed around Europe’s unprecedented (self inflicted by political stupidity?) migration crisis, thus generating billions of euros for the criminal groups involved. (don’t worry – it’s wealth creation!)
In 2014, the number of irregular migrants (see the change in language? illegal to irregular!) arriving in the EU surged, reaching more than one million (illegal missing here?) migrants the following year. Europol believes this trend of rapidly increasing numbers is set to continue. (so what is the estimate now? Too scary to show?)
The facilitation of illegal immigration is one of the nine EMPACT priorities, Europol’s priority crime areas, under the 2013-2017 EU Policy Cycle.
This development has had a profound impact on Europe’s criminal landscape (and terrorism?), with criminal networks substantially increasing their involvement in migrant smuggling. More than 90 % of the migrants travelling to the EU used facilitation (language again – facilitation instead of illegal smugglers) services. In most cases, these services (illegal?) were offered and provided by criminal groups.
..
Migrant smuggling networks have proven flexible and resilient, adapting to law enforcement actions by quickly changing the routes they use to smuggle migrants to the EU. These routes are constantly diversifying (diversity is our strength!) and changing.
So true. Trudeau says they check all undocumented illegals and they’re all safe.
What a brilliant country. Why don’t we all have their tech or psychic abilities or magic mirrors?
That would be the Americans, G, plus the occasional Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders and South Africans that the BBC recruit to either work for them, make occasional programmes for them or to act as contributors to BBC News & Current Affairs programmes.
Thing is, why should the UK even care what America does anymore than we care about other nations? We should be interested to have a good relationship with the US but that’s it. The left, however, are terrified that we might pick up when Trump speaks ‘inconvenient truths’ that are applicable to Britain. The Alt bbc are the crazy parent who would like us chained in the cellar to ‘protect’ us from the World.
The left may control, Google, the Press, FaceBook, PayPal, TV an all but still ……………..
Mike – yes – and no watching there then either. Must have cheered a lot of mp s of all colours during their short holiday after such a demanding year as sheep. Diane Abbot must be mortified.
The only presenter I would actually agree to pay my TV license for, Andrew Neil, leaves the BBC.
BBC News 23Aug17@22:20 Gary “£1.75m + BT Sport + Crisps + Early Pension” Lineker being interviewed by BBC for his BBC views on the BBC Sport regarding football and not Brexit.
Doesn’t Gary flood the waves with his opinion on his own programmes anyway?
– the one presenter (Gary Lineker) I don’t even watch gets more airtime on the BBC and was probably paid for the extra appearance.
– the presenter I do like (Andrew Neil) leaves the BBC. How do I stop my payments to Gary’s wages without going to prison?
I see the police are running Honey Traps now for possible criminal intent? Have I misread this article?
Our Hajj Bus will be at Poplar Shahjalal Masjid on Friday, 12:30-2pm advising you about booking packagaes to maintaining good health/hygiene pic.twitter.com/9yVmUiaA5x
“New rule: If churches don’t have to pay taxes, they can’t call the fire department when they catch fire. Sorry reverend, that’s one of those services that goes along paying in. I’ll use the fire department I pay for. You can pray for rain.”
– Bill Maher
This must be a joke. What the hell has it to do with the police ? They remind me of the BBC. Just when you think they cannot sink any lower, they surprise you. By the way do they advise christians on christian pilgrimages ?
Wednesday’s decision paves the way for the estimated 50,000 EU civil servants to get the increase, with six months paid retrospectively, in time to celebrate the New Year. As EU officials, the ECJ judges in Luxembourg, who earn £215,000 a year, themselves stand to benefit from the pay rise while Baroness Ashton, the EU foreign affairs chief, will pocket an extra £9,000 on top of her basic annual salary of £241,000.
The Court ruling comes after national governments, including Britain, mounted a legal challenge to halve the inflation busting increase in salaries and pensions.
“The Court is blind to the financial anguish that is affecting millions across the continent, but they just don’t care. In these times of crisis for countries across the EU it ill serves Eurocrats to be awarding themselves pay rises, whining that their purchasing power has dropped. They must be blind, stupid or just arrogant.”
Funny thing is this is all happening under the noses of the liberal left wing chattering classes who cant see the wood for the trees. Far to busy worrying about Trump, Brexit, Geoff Boycott and the Great British Bakeoff.
Rather than destroy the statues we should add to them … Bill Clinton can have Monica Lewinsky picking some documents off the floor in front of him, from an odd angle it looks as though she’s … over to your imagination!
Yeah, she lost a contact lens, Billy boy was just pointing to it, with a hard-on he was cranking on before she knocked, whilst thinking about his beautiful wife hilary his angel from god,
It was Monica he claims who didnt want it to go to waste, she said one good turn deserves another and she reminded him so much of hilary,,………………..Bill Clinton 1994, from the memoirs of a great man………from his book The up-standing, out-standing man
He is working on a fictional drama novel as we speak apparantly based on a fictional governor, mob-ties and his moll wife a high flying mob lawyer defending the governor, i think she even fancies herself as the guvnor
A novel with a high body count apparantly, all kinds of plots, dodgy land deals, drugs, arms deals, got the lot.
A best seller no doubt all proceeds to charity, ”what a guy” says CNN, all proceeds are going the Clanton criminal organisation for anti-god good works……otherwise known as the clinton foundation.
Radio 4 had a programme today about Juvenal much to my amazement. Ruined by a silly “comedienne ” presenter who didn’t speak very good english. She interviewed Armando Iaunnucci who said he had given up political satire as the politicians today satirise themselves. He then started to satirise one politician in particular. ( Audience wetting themselves with laughter. ) I bet no-one here can guess which politician ? I switched off.
So much for Juvenal, but what about Armando ? But seriously, the Leftist Elite “comedians” are so stupid they do not realise that they are satirising themselves.
As far as I know the only remotely mainstream comedian that actually makes fun of the contemporary comedy establishment is Andrew Lawrence. Rather surprisingly he has also been given a quite good radio series on R4 (although if the first episode is anything to go by, he has reined in anything that is too anti-leftist-establishment).
Heres trumps arizona speech, its a great speech he eviscerates the press core and the democratic party, with all their lies what he actually said, he read out, and then what they said he said, he destroys them, literally then mocks them by name as their live broadcast lights start going out as they stop transmitting live about half-way in as he opens americans eyes to MARXISM, explains it, and the destruction of americas identity…
He basically names and shames the so called resistance, how they are purposefully dividing america, trying to tear it apart, to chants of drain the swamp, Its a great speech, and it is why the left here hate him, he sees clear thru them, he isnt a politician, he is a man on a pre planned mission, he objective is to destroy the left in the west, America first, whilst smiling in UN and EU faces, and telling them ..fuck you…..but in a nice way and removing the most important thing to marxists, the money honey,……………..he will starve their gravy train,………………..thats like starving cancer of blood.
We really are reaching the end game, the Marxists were so close, maybe a decade at most to total subservience, willingly or not, so close, Brexit and Trump, have put their mission into hyper-drive, and everyone with eyes can see what they are, who they are, and what sick bastards.
WatO and Martha Kearney, without any irony whatsoever, is currently doing an item about Jon Snow’s speech about ‘media elites’ in Edinburgh.
Where is this particular programme coming from? The Edinburgh Arts Festival!
The trail before the News at 1pm was for this: ‘In Enlightenment After Dark, Allan Little hosts a series of discussions in the spirit of the Scottish Enlightenment, in places associated with historical Enlightenment encounters.’
Where from? Edinburgh and the Arts Festival.
No man-made Global Warming emissions or lack of elitism holding back the BBC from going north from London or Salford then.
Manxie, ha ha – yes, indeed. St Paul had it all wrong about ‘the bowels of compassion’ then. Funny thing, listening to WatO today had me coping with something ‘way down south’.
It made me feel sick!
Could it have been the arrogant yet condescending, elitist, overpaid and completely non-self-aware BBC?
Like to see Sadiq Khan (London Mayor), Naz Shah (Labour MP) and Nadiya Hussain (BBC Cook) explain why the Muslim religion of peace needs an Extravagant military parade ahead of pilgrimage season (a meeting of Muslims only)
“A military parade is held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, before the annual (Muslim only) Hajj pilgrimage.”
I know quite a few British and Gambian muslims who have done the Hajj. They all complain about the same thing, that accommodation and restaurant and shop prices are tripled during that period around Mecca. So much for Muslim Brotherhood ! Maybe Sadiq and Nadiya would like to comment on that ?
Like kids’ school holidays – a timed event every year when businesses can force the prices that they want. And parents get fined for trying to circumvent it by taking kids out of school.
Sounds very much like a stealth tax with a threat from the Government or God – sounds very familiar.
True, but I am just surprised at muslims treating fellow muslims so badly.
And now we have the wonderful Eid to look forward to, or “Tobaski ” as they call it in Gambia. I had a text from the Deputy Head of my daughter’s school in Gambia asking me for a £100 “loan “. This is someone I pay very well to give my daughter private english language tuition. My repy ” But I am an atheist. Ask one of your muslim brothers “. That was a week ago. No reply.
Muslims have no pride and no honour. That is why they talk about it so much.
Big net migration fall since Brexit vote, latest estimates show
“Net migration has fallen to the lowest level for three years after a surge in the number of EU nationals leaving the UK since last June’s Brexit vote.”
Q. Why would they want to leave, one assumes they all have jobs and, after all, they have been offered a good status – NHS, pensions etc?
A. Methinks this is the start of the removal of opportunists, formerly known as illegal immigrants until the advent of political correctness and the liberal media.
Not before time.
Some guy says it could lead to a “skills shortage “. I wonder how many skilled workers and professionals have left ? Also, why would they be leaving ? I smell bullshit.
I have been dealing with great Polish manager here recently who works for a Scottish company . I saw him today and asked him if he was thinking of leaving. He said ” Why ? I like it here and I have an excellent, well paid job “. I don’t suppose the BBC will want to interview him. One of the Directors ( Scottish ) appeared and said ” Grant , these scaremongers do not understand the realities of the World “
Unfortunately no-one has checked it properly as question 10 has 2 answers repeated in the 1st and 4th options. If you choose the 4th option you get the question wrong even though it’s correct.
Not only that but if you answer everything wrong and get 0 out of 10 score you get the message “Well done, perhaps all those years in school haven’t been forgotten about.”
Quality stuff from the BBC – must be the unique way they are funded or something!?!
Hundreds of migrants squatting in and around the Rome square clash with Police. They have the same rights as Italian citizens and want houses BUT many Italians are demanding public housing also. Aye there’s the rub.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNwtbFCJvqY
The banner at the bottom of the building translates to “We are refugee’s, not terrorists”. Judging by the behaviour of some of these some may beg to differ. Cast you mind back to Berlusconi’s time in office and some may remember that a number of, for want of a better word “undesirables” were camped on the banks of the Tiber. One murder too many and he had the place cleaned up PDQ.
I love the idea of CNN, BBC News and Channel 4 debating how to purge ‘cancerous’ fake news. It would be somewhat akin to Hitler, Goebbels and Himmler discussing how to purge ‘cancerous’ anti-semitism in the Third Reich.
Rule : when LibMob throw out accusation, they are actually projecting their own flaws
Facebook (ie Jon Snow and friends) promotion of FakeNews is Cancer that threaten democracy “BTW shouldn’t all those idiot Brexit voters be overruled ?” https://twitter.com/MutazElnour/status/900633191756824577
See how Guru-Murthy, Channel 4 Presenter missed off the “Isn’t it possible that things like… “ and turned the quote into a definitive response, not a ‘you need to think about it’ question.
“Isn’t it possible that things like the Iraq war did not create the problem of murderous Islamic Fundamentalists, but the war has unquestionably sharpened the resentment…” – Krishnan Guru-Murthy quotes Boris Johnson
“The Iraq war did not create the problem of “ – Krishnan Guru-Murthy shortens quote from Boris Johnson.

Radio 4 now on about BBC Pet topic of gender stereotypes
\\Cordelia Fine is a professor of the history and philosophy of science at the University of Melbourne.
Her book “Testosterone Rex” explores the science behind gender.
She argues that testosterone isn’t necessarily the basis for masculinity and that there is so much more to gender than merely our biological sex.//
I got to the point with R4 where I simply gave up. It’s almost impossible now to switch on and not hear some talking point straight from the crazier pages of the Guardian.
Well, we certainly know that successive governments have lied about immigration levels. And, of course, the BBC has accidentally overlooked this omission for some unimaginable reason.
New word found today which is ‘lookism’ – prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of a person’s appearance.
“Damore recalled on email that included an employee complaining about a co-worker who ‘suggested to use a picture of an attractive person on an ad (web advert), to increase the number of clicks’. (heaven offend). According to Dmore it was ‘apparently a case of lookism to the offended Google employee’ ”
But seriously, if these people don’t take themselves seriously enough to use a name fit for someone over the age of three (or a pet hamster), how and why the hell are we supposed to?
I wonder if that is the name on her birth certificate ? If so, the problem may be hereditary. By the way , I did have a pet hamster when I was a boy , an albino with pink eyes and nose….. named “Pinky ” and more intelligent than most Beeboids.
“…and don’t you worry. It’s coming to a place near you…we cannot have state subsidized preachers…give it up or give it to your deadliest enemy and pay for the rope that will choke you. .. you will be told you can’t complain because you are Islamophobic ”

While this silly old fool tried to make a story out of the failure of his spads to get him a proper ticket is still laughable, I don’t think the front page of the failing Private Eye is at all in good taste.
Hislop is now just a bbbc sockpuppet, neither funny or even relevant these days.
As an old friend once said after she cancelled her sub to PE, they rang her up to ask why, and she just said ‘I’ve grown up now’!
I made the mistake of renewing a few months ago. About 5 issues remain unopened and unread. One reason is that , like Hislop , it is not funny any more. Another is that it is fanatically anti-Brexit. Started subscribing to ” The Oldie ” instead. Much better and more mature, as you would expect, if you can stomach Gyles Brandreth’s obsessive name-dropping.
I’ll ask her what she thinks now – she walks past most days!
I still have some very early 1964 PEs, and they were wonderful, especially with stories about ‘The Clintistorit of Wintistering’, and Barry McKenzie! Paul Foot was magnificent. The uncovering of ‘The Slicker of Wakefield’ was real serious investigative journalism, and hard facts emerged which totally floored the architectural profession to its roots. A good old chum was on the RIBA Committee, which eventually had sickness and diarrhoea for a very, very long time, and he admitted that it was all down to a Private Eye investigation, which wouldn’t happen today!
Compare the great (and very left-wing) work of Paul Foot with ‘journos’ nowadays. He never spat at others, he got on with his job and worked bloody hard. (Forget any bbbc autocue stuff as ‘journos’, they’re irrelevant passers-on of ‘manager’s’ edicts).
The Anti-Brexit stance must have lost PE a huge number of readers, rather like the bbc has lost an even larger number of watchers. They’re all past it.
I’ll perform a ‘Single-Leg Arkwright’ to that, Grant! Twenty-seven pints Doris!
Colemanballs was reasonably amusing once too, but was upstaged by Spitting Image, who ludicrously claimed that they could have won the GE for Labour! If he hadn’t said that, the producer would still have had an admirer, but that’s what happens when you shoot your gob off without thinking of the consequences.
It’s called ‘growing up’, rather like my good lady chum said, and who walks past most days…
The CBI is simply a pressure group for giant multinationals, in whose interests cheap labour and a nice easy to control bureaucracy working on their behalf to suppress competition is heaven. No wonder the BBC loves them.
A woman on Radio 4 says fewer than 1% of rape allegations are false. How can she possibly know this unless she is somehow magically present at every sexual encounter? Of course she was not challenged on such a patently absurd and untestable claim. Women can be extremely devious and bear a grudge – which makes the percentage of false rape claims likely to be far higher.
This fake rape woman cost us a fortune and was a nasty piece of work, but if anyone criticised her it could be seen as ‘misogyny.’ If she was personally upset by your comments – however true and reasonable they may be – you would be guilty of thought crime. It’s terrifying.
A woman on Radio 4 says fewer than 1% of rape allegations are false
A 15 year old girl going to the police or social services to complain she has been raped multiple times by a ‘gang of men’ in a northern city may well discover that her allegation is considered to be false, and that she should ‘shut up for the sake of diversity’.
Is it to put the idea in viewers heads that many of the rape incidences that they have heard about in recent months may in fact be bogus. That stories of gang rape by people with Pakistani and Muslim sounding names may be bogus?
I’m guessing that is what is meant by the term ‘rhetorical question’.

The BBC are going crazy promoting a story that is now two hours old with the headline: ‘Serial liar’ jailed after bogus rape claims”. A 25 year old white woman has been jailed for TEN YEARS for making up bogus rape claims. The BBC had plastered this story (and her face) on the BBC homepage, the BBC News homepage, their UK news section and their English News section. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-41037826
The BBC specifically name two of the victims of the bogus claims: … “In a victim impact statement, Mahad Cassim, who was wrongly convicted of raping Beale in 2010 … Beale had also falsely claimed she was groped by a stranger, Noam Shahzad, in a pub in July 2012. She alleged she was then gang-raped by him and other men … ”
Compare the coverage of the above story with the Live ManHunt story two days ago of an “Asian” who attempted to rape a ten year old girl in Surrey. That story never made the BBC homepage nor the BBC News homepage – and they quickly buried the story. And that Asian paedophile is still on the loose. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-surrey-41015851
So why are the BBC going crazy headlining all over their website this white woman who made the bogus claims of rape. And why are the BBC only specifically naming Mr Mahad Cassim and a Mr Shahzad, both with Muslim/Pakistani sounding names, as those who have been falsely accused of rape? (Mahad is a contraction for Muhammad).
Is it to put the idea in viewers heads that many of the recent stories that they may have heard about regarding gang rape by people with Pakistani and Muslim sounding names may in fact be bogus – as in this story the BBC are desperately promoting?
And what about the impact on real rape victims? This woman got ten years of prison time after her allegations of rape failed to be proved. Will real rape victims be more likely or less likely to report rape after reading this story?
My first thought on this was surprise that a woman has actually been given a custodial sentence. And now knowing that at least some of her victims were from the special community I can see why it was quite a long stretch even though she’ll be out in 5 years. No doubt to continue where she left off.
I was also thinking how in the hell the police continued to investigate her serial allegations – a giant lesbian land whale, with whom even the most unfinicky bloke with the biggest beer goggles would have trouble getting it on.
Then again, look at Rotherham etc and see what lines of enquiry they don’t pursue. The Police Service seems just like another useless, tick-box , local authority type employer – a dumping ground for more useless apparatchiks emerging from our ‘universities’.
Hi imaynotalwaysloveyou – this is an excellent comment and something I was also thinking about. Can you repost it on the new Open thread – so it is not “lost” to others. I have reposted my comment on the new open thread. Thanks.
I think the police get extra bonus points and cash for recording and investigating hate crime. Essentially anything perceived as an attack on a person of non-white skin pigmentation is a candidate for being labelled a hate crime.
FFS! – I thought this was a joke story. I expect we can expect more of the same sort of “fillers” far more important than reporting on rapes and murders.
If it was brown sauce I wonder whether any “sausage ” crime was involved. It could not have been ketchup because that is better on bacon! I hope the plods catch this bastard and lock him up for this terrible “hate” crime (he may even die behind bars if hes unlucky) Serve him right fascist pig!

On the BBC News home page is a photo of students getting their GCSE results. The photo had, of course, a Muslim girl wearing a hijab and the rest of the group was 4 other girls. No males. When you click away and back to the home page there is a chance the photo gets updated to a different one. The other photo has 5 different girls, no males, and the Muslim girl has been replaced with a black girl. The ethnic minority girl always has the left position.
BBC tick list…
1. No males – tick.
2. Ethnic minority in every bloody photo – tick

Ian,
Tesco are stupid. Targetting minorities probably won’t win them any new customers and could well lose them old ones.

If there is one thing Harriet Harman is, it isn’t a ‘free thinker’. She is locked into an ideological corset as restrictive as her great grandmother’s stays.
Which means it’s not difficult to understand why the BBC worships the ground she walks on, for all that she isn’t so much destined to be a footnote in history as a flyblown spec on the page.

Nowadays ‘free thinker’ seems to mean free of logic, rationality or any sense of historical perspective.

Just like … “The News of the World phone hacking operation was made easier to achieve by the widespread use of default or easy-to-guess passcodes. It’s simple to change yours to something more secure.” {telegraph jul2011}

It does mean that the government won’t be able to blame the EU (pass the buck) for hordes of immigrants arriving on our shores.
A very good point!

FACILITATION OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION {europol.europa.eu}
– In the report it says in a 36 hour operation they caught 39 smugglers and 580 smuggled migrants.

Eurocrats to receive 3.7 per cent pay increase, European Court of Justice rules {telegraph.co.uk 2010}
The European Court of Justice has ruled that the EU should pay a full 3.7 per cent pay rise to Eurocrats, despite fierce opposition from Britain and other member states.
– 3.7% pay rise (backdated) in 2010, two years after economic gloom of 2008

… he (Ehsan Abdulaziz) may have accidentally penetrated 18-year-old when he tripped and fell on her {dailymail feb2016}
“A Saudi millionaire (Ehsan Abdulaziz) has been cleared of raping a teenager after claiming he might have accidentally penetrated the 18-year-old when he tripped and fell.”
.. a more complete story of the genital accident …
– The lawyer also argued that the sperm, which was found in the teenager’s vagina, must have either come from Abdulaziz’s hands, because he had sex with the 24 year old earlier in the night, or from his penis, which (as we’ve already mentioned) may have been poking out of his pants when he ‘fell’ on her. (and accidentally put his hand or penis into her vagina) The jury accepted this version of events.
– As part of the trial, the judge allowed Abdulaziz to give 20 minutes of evidence in private. We don’t know what was brought to light during this 20 minute period.
– The millionnaire was subsequently found ‘not guilty’. {marieclaire dec2015}

For hate crime, read ‘Common Purpose’.

Good anagram for ‘Common Purpose’ is ‘Common Purse’, plus PO (piss off, we know what we are doing with your money, you don’t)…

Man looking to run a Country with the 5th largest economy in the World fails to find a seat on a train or use his initiative. Wastes everyones time over a useless story which is appearing for the second time. {order-order.com – aug2017 – old story rehashed}

Scrobbie,
I made the mistake of renewing a few months ago.

Grant, that’s exactly what my chum did!

Barry McKenzie, there is a blast from the past !
I think it started going downhill after Richard Ingrams left. Also when Peter Cook passed away.

Al beeb seems to be in bed with the cbi moaning about guest workers leaving Blighty chiefly because the pound and euro are near parity
But 250000 officially arrived in the first quarter of 2017 . That is a disaster .
Funny how news is relative

‘The Stephen Lawrence Story’, where the entire British judicial system was turned upside down to favour black gangsters
‘A Season on Obesity’, where the bBBC examines the effect that broadcasting lots of programmes on baking cakes has on making people fat …

You’re being ‘Outsidist’ now Brissles.
All jigsaws need the corners first, then the edges, then the coloured bits, but you’ve completely ignored the middle bits with no meaning, no history, no relation to reality, no colour, no shape, no bits that fit unless you hit them with a hammer! ‘Innerist’ means you do the opposite.
Shame on you, you should be watching a Gary Lineker ad for disgusting greasy Walker’s crisps, and sipping a sugar-free, alcohol-free lager-free-top!
Sometimes I wonder why I come here to read important things, but being attendant to an ‘Outsidist’; well that just takes the biscuit…
(halal of course).

I never cease to wonder why, if the NHS, Police etc are so busy and overstretched, they have time to waste on documentaries ?

Grant, we used to believe the way the police worked from decent progs like Z cars, and The Sweeney, well nearly all…
Don’t really do that nowadays.

Scrobbie,
The police are part of the problem , not the solution. When I see them swaggering around dressed like Gestapo and failing to deal with serious crime, I am afraid, very afraid.

We might need them sometime.

The BBC are going crazy promoting a story that is now two hours old with the headline: ‘Serial liar’ jailed after bogus rape claims”. A 25 year old white woman has been jailed for TEN YEARS for making up bogus rape claims. The BBC had plastered this story (and her face) on the BBC homepage, the BBC News homepage, their UK news section and their English News section.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-41037826

BBC,
I wonder if any of the other victims were non-muslims ?

‘Brown sauce’ thrown from car window in racial attack
“Brown sauce” was thrown from a car window and splattered another vehicle in what police are treating as a racially aggravated crime.
The victim was driving on Woodbridge Road East in Ipswich when a black Vauxhall Corsa drew alongside and threw something from the window, police said.
The substance, believed to be brown sauce, went on the door and dashboard.
A Police spokesman said “we have nothing better to do with our time”

Pig – ooops.
Ketchup – colour again.
Brown – don’t go there.
Fillers – yup, all Ipswich burgers contain them.
Murders – what a group of blokes after ten pints of lager say about several curries apiece.
Sausage – behave!
