      7 Harmful Side Effects Pot Legalization Has Caused in Colorado {dailysignal.com aug2014}
There is more bad news out of Colorado regarding the negative impact of marijuana legalization.

      1. The majority of DUI drug arrests involve marijuana and 25 to 40 percent were marijuana alone.

      2. In 2012, 10.47 percent of Colorado youth ages 12 to 17 were considered current marijuana users compared to 7.55 percent nationally. Colorado ranked fourth in the nation, and was 39 percent higher than the national average.

      3. Drug-related student suspensions/expulsions increased 32 percent from school years 2008-09 through 2012-13, the vast majority were for marijuana violations.

      4. In 2012, 26.81 percent of college age students were considered current marijuana users compared to 18.89 percent nationally, which ranks Colorado third in the nation and 42 percent above the national average.

      5. In 2013, 48.4 percent of Denver adult arrestees tested positive for marijuana, which is a 16 percent increase from 2008.

      6. From 2011 through 2013 there was a 57 percent increase in marijuana-related emergency room visits.

      7. Hospitalizations related to marijuana has increased 82 percent since 2008.

      – Drug addicts asked if everyone should have access to drugs. 100% say yes, Government cannot ignore this evidence. (I made that poll up!)

Many years ago I read somewhere that cannabis is x20 more carcinogenic that ordinary tobacco. I guess that the modern stronger stuff may be even more so. In the days when I posted on the Daily Mail website, on an article that was relevant, the arguments and almost abuse I received for suggesting this was …interesting. As someone who has never smoked my concerns lie in the cost to the NHS.
In addition, when I was working with students, we were told that around 10% of the time those smoking cannabis had a psychotic episode. And for those who question my memory, it was because it was such a high figure that I was surprised and remembered it. Again my concern is not for the snow flakes but the effect it has on my pocket.
I always find that those who have indulged will give you all the facts and figures to say that cannabis is either less harmful than tobacco or alcohol but they always protest too much. To those who have indulged in their youth and now have older children, I always ask if they would like their children to take it. I ask the same question when I have heard cocaine also on the list of ‘should be legalised’. When it comes to their own children, the answer is usually silence.

      Agree Marky
Never trust a poll that doesn’t give you access to the questions and all of the answers. First glaring misreporting:
The British public has given overwhelming backing to “major parts of Jeremy Corbyn’s policy agenda”
“Today’s poll tested key ideas “in the party’s manifesto or mooted by Labour figures”. so not really JC’s policy agenda then?
Then the use of phrases like “backed to some degree by a majority”. The easy ones like nationalisation of some services hit 50%-57%…(strongly or somewhat…doesn’t say how much in each group or what other options were given)
“There was also broad support for a “Robin Hood tax”, of around 0.05 per cent on financial transactions which was backed to varying degrees by 45 per cent in the poll “.. so not an overwhelming majority then, not really broad support…and so it goes on except the percentages get smaller in favour.

Did the Independent headline the Brexit vote as an Overwhelming majority at 52%…?

The idea of an LGBTQ ‘community’ is such nonsense.

Lesbians and gay men generally do not see eye to eye. I have never met a butch interior designer or theatre director.

Feminists often dislike transsexuals as they are proof that gender is not just a social construct. Plus they are competing for optimum victim status.

Plus the gay community is far from homogenous. Gay friends often said a pet hate of their was overtly camp men.

Real women have no problem with men who want to join them. But not in loos thank you, nor in prisons of other sacred spaces where we and our daughtes, mothers can be got at.
As St Germaine says-they simply cannot be real women, no matter how good they look, how culturally captive they are.
No periods, no childbith or breastfeeding, no years of girls school , growing up in pop culture and no endless little barbs (or perks as and when) for all your life hitherto,
        Can`t be done.
When trans types don`t smash barmaids faces in or rape in womens prisons-or plead feminine privilege for their aggressive nastiness from too long on the terraces or gyms as far as I can tell-THEN we`ll revisit.
Until then- Greer, Bindel and Burchill are correct, the mock ups like Lees and Jenner are parodies for Channel 5 and not for real life at all.

“LGBT student activist shot dead by US police” {bbc.co.uk homepage} … BBC dropped LGBT on article page title … “Georgia student Scout Schultz shot dead by Atlanta police”. (so LGBT is no longer as relevant in main story?)

Police in the US state of Georgia have shot and killed an LGBT student activist, leading to an independent investigation. Police encountered Scout Schultz at a campus in Atlanta after a call about “a person with a knife and a gun” late on Saturday, officials say. Footage has emerged apparently showing Schultz, 21, refusing to obey several police commands to drop a knife.

Police were operating on assumption that a gun was seen and on the suspect?

Sir Vince Cable has insisted it is “perfectly plausible” that he could become the next prime minister.

    f863abb42775ef8fae46d36d9f7f040f.jpg

    Lord Buckethead’s manifesto in the 2017 election promised “strong, not entirely stable leadership” and included the following promises: {wiki}

Nuclear weapons: “A firm public commitment to build the 100-billion-pound renewal of Britain’s Trident weapons system, followed by an equally firm commitment, privately, not to build it. They’re secret submarines, so no one will ever know. It’s a win-win.”

Free bicycles for all to “combat obesity, traffic congestion, and bike theft”.

Instead of Theresa May’s commitment to bring back grammar schools, Buckethead would build “gamma” schools founded on three principles: “One, better funding for teachers, to attract bright graduates. Two, increased facilities for children, especially playing fields. Three, if any child misbehaves three times, they are blasted into deep space, with the parents provided with a lovely fruit basket, by way of consolation or celebration, depending on the child. Discipline is key”.

    but they didn’t spot it.
In 3girls the police needed evidence against the perps, so they charged the victim, this gave them licence to continue the enquiryinstead of dropping it.
And in court the child might be intimidated against testifying gainst the perp, but cos she is giving evidence toprotect herself , it is introduced into the general case. the idea is that usually the victim doesn’t end up in court, cos the threat is enough to get the perp to confess.

Threats coming from Brussels in my opinion will strengthen both the Government’s and the populaces resolve. I would be interested to know what Polands medias take is on this. Just a guess but I suspect it’s a lot more supportive than our lot would be.

Outstanding rudeness by Jo Coburn to Duncan Smith on the Daily Politics today, even worse than she normally is. She was shouting at him. They were “discussing” Boris’s reference to the £350 million; she did not want to hear his explanation at all, whereas somebody from the Statistics “Authority” was listened to with total respect.

The bbc is slowly but surely becoming unhinged.
Increasingly they struggle to stifle the hatred they feel toward any person or organization that does not agree with them.

Cannot, gax. The Beebertroid in Chief hath decreed that it is out of bounds.

When I hear news on radio of what is coming up on telly, I’m glad I have stopped watching.

I am a little tempted, however, to make a Discrimination Claim against the BBC. As they are all the rage, at present.

I thought there was serious plot loss when they said that CV s would be edited to prevent mid and upper classes from being unfairly selected.

Some one told me that in the real world if you have to do an interview you’ve failed – because it should be fixed before that stage.

As if editing CV s will make any difference. Al Beeb and the meedja are so incestuous that they all know some one who knows some one. And they celebrate it- Dimbleby, snow, rantzen Peston and other politicians’ offspring

Taken from the Spectator: from a certain Mr D Murrey:
“What we fail to recall is that while ‘Keep calm and carry on’ was fine advice for the citizenry of London during the nightly destruction of the Blitz, Britain didn’t win World War II simply by the daily expression of taciturn stoicism. While the citizenry of London were being exhorted to remain calm and unbothered, their service men were in the skies flattening whole German cities. But in this conflict, and with a far less severe but still relentless form of terror, we don’t know where the German cities might be this time or what we should do if we found them. What can we do other than bear this? If you are a member of the Labour shadow cabinet you can pretend that people only put explosive devices onto the London underground because of Tory cuts. And you can pretend that if you were in power you would find the money to pay for policemen to better hunt down the followers of an ideology you don’t dare identify. “

I often think that the brazen wearing of Islamic gear after atrocities is as provocative as goose-stepping Shaftesbury Avenue pansies mincing down the Strand in their Luftwaffe outfits after a blitz on Londons docklands or such.
Would anybody really have let them express their otherness by insulting those who`d died or suffered back in 1940?
Course not-yet here we are today letting Islam get away with this, cossetted at our expense by the BBC.

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4874708/1-5billion-aid-fund-spent-India-China.html

Given our projected growth next year,in terms of GDP is about 1.6%. Our Foreign Aid budget is 0.8%. Has it occurred to the idiots we call politicians that the Foreign Aid Budget we give away to other countries like China for example, (recent stop smoking research), is equivalent to 50% of our total growth figure (GDP) for the country.

What worries me is that these are the same idiots are also negotiating out way out of the EU!

When I see the end of the ‘soft’ money Foreign Aid budget being used more sensibly, only then will I have any respect for politicians.

When politicians say there is no more money for the nurses and ambulance crews (not teachers please), their argument is destroyed by the financial giveaway of 14 billion pounds in Foreign Aid.

10pm More4 Heavy narrative building in the prog about Police responding to Hate Crime 999 calls
prog begins with shots of building hung with many England flags , and voice of Farage muttering
    – Then to item onBrazilian household who appear to be victims of a false phonecall to police
    – Then to shots of Union jack mural , whilst audio is Theresa May announcing Brexit.

” work of the police, paramedics and fire service in Wiltshire. The first edition examines the rise in racially aggravated hate crimes, with the mother of a nine-year-old girl calling 999 to report that her daughter has been racially abused by two 11-year-olds while out playing. PC James Isaac arrests a 29-year-old man who targeted a 17-year-old white girl with text messages after coming across photos of her and her black boyfriend on Facebook.”

Looks to me that the criminals are nutters ..so yes they say racist things when they get caught stealing from a black shop, but if it was a white owned shop they’d kickoff the same.
