Marr had his usual talking shop with the usual suspects. We were told this was to be a programme investigating identity politics and how this has led to so much conflict around the world….ie the enforced ‘joy’ of multiculturalism and diversity that has brought nothing but trouble…and curry and corner shops ‘open all hours’. Except that wasn’t what we got. What we got was just some luvvies sat around making grandiose, pretentious, arty farty claims about their work and how important it all was. Oh there was a bit about immigration…..a self-described immigrant, a theatre director, who has produced a play about Enoch Powell, informed us that the ‘prejudiced’ Enoch was totally wrong and that his ‘rivers of blood ‘ speech has caused all the problems we now have [not that we have any problems of course]…
‘What Shadows’ is a play that tells the story of Enoch Powell’s famous ‘rivers of blood’ speech from 1968, and its impact on the country decades later. The play’s director Roxana Silbert says the play shows how prejudice can be found across the political spectrum.
This was pretty much accepted as documented fact by Marr depsite it obviously being a prejudiced and very partial take on Powell…and a wrong one at that.
Marr did venture a surprising claim, in carefully guarded language…that perhaps Enoch was right….if we look at how Muslims are in conflict with our society.
Hope he’s got his tin hat on…if only for the brick bats from his own side.
Glad I missed Marr!

I’m really surprised anyone watches that trash anymore. You know who is going to be on it – what their pitch is going to be – and to salve the white al Beeb conscience they’ll stick some obscure non British ‘musical turn’ on at the end.
Gave up on that format ages ago. Then on itv there is the son of a labour Peer holding court followed by the daughter of a dead labour leader back on al Beeb. So many better to do than spend a Sunday doing that!

Beautifully illustrated by the Kick It Out response to a Man Utd chant about their player Lukaku. It refers to the size of his genitals but not his race. As he is black, Kick It Out automatically assume it to be racist.
So who is guilty of racial stereotyping. The fans or Kick It Out?

The BBC had a program on Sexual abuse of children in Rochdale.
What? Yes.
It turned out the program was investigating the actions of a Cyril Smith and a few others. The investigating journo was a Muslim female.
Reached for the Remote.

It’s all Leftist crap isn’t it. The news programmes are wall to wall we hate the Tories, we hate Brexit, we hate Trump. The drama programmes are politically correct garbage. Not a scintilla of intelligence, imagination, creativity, just an endless colour supplement of Leftist airheads keen to show you how utterly spineless they are, sacrificing everything (sacrificing us) to the cause of their self-enrichment at the taxpayers expense. The information content is heading towards zero. It is worse than Pravda.

Thanks for the requote. If al Beeb was fully exposed to the market HBO and Netflix would have killed it by now.
The only interviewer worth watching for impartiality sake – Brillo – seems to have finally gone from al Beeb . The remainder just suck the taxpayers breast and dream of the top job in their pecking order .
I saw ‘ink’ last week – the play about Rupert Murdock taking over The Sun in 1969 and how he turned it around. I was thinking about what he could do to al Beeb. The job centres would be full of unemployable ex beeboids
