The BBC on their CBBC channel are going full steam ahead to indoctrinate our kids with “Black History Month”: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/news
Lead story: Black History Month in Britain: Great women you should know about
Included in this dubious list as a Great Person you Should Know About is Dianne Abbot – the incompetent Shadow Home Secretary of the Jeremy Corbyn Labour Party – who’s main claim to fame was being black, being one of Corbyn’s mistresses and being full of hot air as demonstrated in the previous general election campaign – where even Jeremy Corbyn, in an unprecedented step, was forced to withdraw her from the public view after yet another display of incompetence on radio.
They have also listed Mary Seacole – which is someone that has been pushed by Black political activists as being more or of equal importance to Florence Nightingale, only for Historians to note that Mary Seacole was a mixed race figure of minor relevance who was primarily in Crimea to sell her wares. In the original BBC article posted several hours ago the BBC didn’t even mention Florence Nightingale and confused Florence Nightingale for Mother Theresa for fecks sake! In the latest edit (45 minutes old) they have corrected this – but I kept a copy of the original (it shows how lacking in knowledge these people are who write this activist shite). http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/41433196
Thanks for that, I did enjoy reading this about Fabbot: She also started the London Schools and the Black Child programme, which aims to help black children to do well in school.
If only the bBC had mentioned the part about how she sent her son to a private school whilst campaigning against them. But then black women do know best,
Did not one black man have a dream that when his children grew up they would be judged not by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character?
Black History Month in Britain: Great women you should know about
“Throughout history, black people have made huge contributions to society in the fields of art, music, science, literature and many more areas.”
TWMTB.
Followed by some samples.
Which must be directed at children, or written by a ten year asylum seeker.
Throughout history! Well throughout most of history there was no black history, or literature, because history/literature is based on writing. TWMTB must be aware of this because they spend most of their resources on “correcting” history.
Most of Africa was pre-literate until very recently. West Africa is semi-literate today, and becoming less literate as enrichers like Boko Haram discourage anyone from reading the Koran for themselves. Much better to be told by the clerics what they need to know.
Western archaeology has discovered what is known of African history.
Most of the women listed appear to have a large quota of non black genes, which is where the brains, such as they are, came from.
Most prominently no scientists are in this list. Because there are none. TWMTB could not even find a third rate one to include. Believe me they tried.
No black person has won a Nobel science prize yet.
This is frequently noted as racism, if so it is skewed racism, the Japanese have no problems winning Nobel prizes.
Not surprising since the Japanese have a higher average IQ than people of West European descent. IQ methodology and figures which virtually nobody disputes; when discussing East Asians
However every lefty claims that IQ test are Western inventions, biased against non Western populations, or do not really measure IQ, or IQ is not the same as intelligence, or there are several types of intelligence, or that IQ is due to the environment. Or whatever nonsense they include as evidence that the IQ figure for blacks are just wrong.
Summary TWMTB revising history to suit lefty purposes, disseminating lying propaganda describing it as history. Or news. Sorry AlBeeb nothing will change until you award the Nobel prizes; then we would see some changes, and we know how it would change.
Shia Muslims commemorate Ashura with self-flagellation rituals in UK (Manchester, out on the street) {rt.com 01oct2017}
“A procession of Shia Muslims marched down Wilmslow road in Rusholme, south Manchester on Saturday, slapping their bare chests in a ritual of self-flagellation to mark the religious festival of Ashura. Manchester’s Shia Muslims joined other devotees across the world in punishing themselves, in some cases, even drawing blood. Ashura falls on the tenth day of the month of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar. The festival marks the death of Imam Hussein who died in the Battle of Karbala in the seventh century.”

“I was at trafalgar square when they arrived and started their speech with their flags and banners. The guy with the mic spoke in arabic almost the majority of the time, so it’s impossible to know what he said. From where I was standing, outside the National Gallery, I could see all of trafalgar square. Everyone was wearing black and the women were wearing full islamic dresses. The National Gallery is the most important art gallery in UK for Western (Secular and Christian) art, from 16th century portraits to modern art. It seemed to me that hosting such a demonstration in front of the Gallery and in Trafalgar square, was both an inappropriate, unnecessary provocation. It seemed to me like an Islamic show of strength rather than a condemnation of extremism.“
I accidentally hit the “report” button —- my intention was to “like” the post. Sincere aplogies; this is the most civilized forum going: I have no complaints!
Mark,
This ritual blood letting is an ancient pagan practice. Predating Islam. It is described in the Old Testament as encountered by the Prophet Elijah when confronting the Prophets of Baal. This was the form of worship used to evoke Baal. It is but one of many clues to the true identity of the god (Allah) of the Koran. Baal worship. Circumambulating the black stone in the Kaaba at Mecca is another. It’s the worship of a filthy, detestable god. And it should not be tolerated in Christian and/or Jewish territory. Our religious leaders have lost their backbone along with the politicians.
Peace = War
Religion of Peace = Religion of War Pedophile = Caring
Jimmy Savile our Nation’s Child Rapist = Jimmy Savile our (forgotten) National Treasure Nothing = Everything
Nothing to do with Islam = Everything to do with Islam
“War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength;” is one of the three slogans of the English Socialist Party (“INGSOC” for short) of Oceania.
Ah, so that’s why the sunnis hate the shia (or shiite as they were once commonly called) so much – almost, dare I say, to the point of mental imbalance. It’s not for any deep and lengthily researched religious or philosophical reason, it’s because they’re such bleeding idiots.
“We must probe, probe, probe the liberal consensus.”
Beeb website today:
Tories greeted by large protests; confidence gap holding women back (how progressive to infantilise women thus!); LA shrugs over Harry’s girlfriend; NFL players defy Trump.
I like the sound of this one – ‘confidence gap’. Now that the ‘gender pay gap’ has been largely eliminated, we have a new grievance which, since it is based on emotion not fact, can never be eliminated. A bit like that other BBC phrase ‘fleeing poverty’.
What is so absurd about the ‘gender pay gap’ is it does not consider what the extra money is spent on; if you have a joint bank account then you share all the money you earn anyway. Many men would testify to the ‘gender spending gap’ whereby an inordinate amount of their earnings are spent on shoes, trendy lamp shades and other such fripperies which our women like to buy.
Like other media the BBC gives saturation coverage to the ‘mass’ shooting killing of two in Las Vegas. But the killing of two Indian children by Pakistan is not news.
It’s almost like some lives matter more depending on the country of origin of the victims.
We’ll, the death toll in Las Vegas rises, but has the BBC coverage matched that given a week ago when ‘Twenty Hindu women and eight children are found in a mass grave after their execution by Muslim militants.’ https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/attacks/attacks.aspx?Yr=Last30
Up2snuff, as I always say it is the tone of voice used; it is intangible. It is the tone of voice used when Mrs Thatcher died compared the tone of voice used to report the death of Nelson Mandela.
When Mandela died they actually interrupted the programme I was listening to such was their lust to launch into an emotionally incontinent orgy of virtue signalling.
When I escaped the Venezuelan Dictatorship I never thought I would have to try and stop British people from making the same mistakes we made pic.twitter.com/MLYrV0Pinp
BBC Radio 4 Scheduling:
2 October 2017 – Start the Week: Power, the people and the Party.
25 September 2017 – Start the Week: Hard work and sweet slumber.
2 October 2017 – Start of the Conservative Party conference.
25 September 2017 – Start of the Labour Party conference.
There appears to be some deliberate difference, and possibly bias, there. I wonder if our friend maxincony will drop by to comment?
Two murders in France.
TWMTB has an “analysis” of recent similar events in that woe begotten state.
Beginning in 2015 with the Charlie Hebdo attack.
Where “17 journalists were killed.”
Real journalists.
Not the fake, alleged, overpaid, traitors at AlBeeb.
Therefore we have, so called, IS, militants, Islamists, Jihadists, etc, ad nauseam.
“of a North African appearance”, doubtless a Norwegian, with a typical Swiss name.
“In a suspected terrorist attack.”
“but there are plenty of question marks about the man and his motivation.”
But that the deceased was a FUCKING MUSLIM was lost in the translation from the French.
I expect he was quiet, liked by the woman next door, more ad nauseam.
No flowers and candles in the report I read.
Well past the time for retaliation first.
“Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association chairman Adrien Berry said: ‘It is hard to see how he first passed the judicial exams and then why it has taken so long for his lack of knowledge to be exposed.”
thirdoption,
If the ruling elite don’t recognise that we are well on the way to anarchy and islamisation right now, they have no place at the top of the pyramid.
Haven’t these idiots got jobs and families to support. How stupid of me to think that I got up at 5.30 this morning for no other reason than to pay my taxes to support them. What a fool I am.
We need a ‘going Galt’ party to starve the Government of funds, and a good start would be that everybody goes on the dole to collapse the system!
Only half joking actually – when I think of my working life over the years (sometimes in pretty boring jobs), and of how society has changed for the worse, I can only come to the conclusion that I might well not have bothered. For many years now we have been contributing to a system that appears to be abolishing the country we once knew.
In fact a life of benefit fraud, cash in hand work, and low-level drug dealing would’ve been enough to see all my needs met. But alas I’m not in a minority group so I probably wouldn’t have the get-out-of-jail-free benefits if I were caught. Jail is no place for a middle aged white man, so it’s back to work tomorrow for me!
The European project made Heath pay a hefty price for Britain to join it in 1973 . Now they want a hefty price to leave it now . It will go down in history as the most expensive thing Britain has ever had to pay for , and the most calamitous .
I was look up quotes from politicians that stood up to the BBC. S hame we couldn’t have had him as the Brexit negotiator.
“The word ‘conservative’ is used by the BBC as a portmanteau word of abuse for anyone whose views differ from the insufferable, smug, sanctimonious, naïve, guilt-ridden, wet, pink orthodoxy of that sunset home of the third-rate minds of that third-rate decade, the nineteen-sixties.
The Independent (24 February, 1990).”
In 50 years time, unless there is a completely radical change in how our country governed and for whom, it will be of no consequence whether we left or remained within the EU.
The British will by then be a despised minority in Britain; the French in France; the Swedes in Sweden; the Germans in Germany etc etc.
I personally hope with all my heart that we do Leave because I’m a patriot but my head tells me that ultimately it is just rearranging the Titanic’s deckchairs; the catastrophe of our country’s demography will be unaffected by it and possibly that situation may worsen if we do finally get out.
If Catalonia leaves Spain I wonder how much it will have to pay for its divorce.
If Scotland leaves the UK I wonder how much it will have to pay for its divorce.
How much will they have to pay to trade with Spain/UK when they leave.
Also,
If a recipient such as Romania were to leave, would the eu have to give them many billions (for future commitments)
Finally, I have some sympathy with Spain.
Imagine if Yorkshire or Cornwall decided to have a vote on independence.
How would we react.
Maybe if London wanted a vote for independence (good riddance)
Or just Luton.
Or maybe some street in Luton.
Interesting to note that Catalonia provides 26% of Spain’s GDP, has a population of 7 million and feels that the rest of the country is stealing from it.
London will hoover up nearly a quarter of UK GDP by 2022 … so London should become “independent”? And given the number of Muslims being imported by Khan (similar situation in Catalonia) courtesy of his affordable housing projects the “independence” referendum vote would be a clear winner! What then? Should we submissively say “By,Bye London”?
This “independence” lark all very fashionable (particularly amongst the Brexiters) but it is a short term gain with potentially lethal long term consequences. People should start researching issues before commentating.
BBC and Sky claiming a majority of Catalans voted for independence.
90% of a 43% turnout is not a majority.
They must all be graduates from the Diane Abbott school of mathematics.
LOL
Narrative dear boy, narrative is all they care about, and today’s narrative is the same as yesterday’s narrative, which is the same as the day before yesterdays narrative. That is what you pay your BBC license for; 24/7 Leftist propaganda.
So 38.70% (90% of a 43% turnout) want Catalonia independence. But 57% have yet to vote.
Also, those who really wanted independence (hard core supporters) would turn up so this value is meaningless in those terms. Very misleading.
“Doctors say he’s got a 50/50 chance of living, though there’s only a 10% chance of that.”
“Arrest over Canada ‘terror’ incident” – headline fast slipping off the beebistan home page… so many muslim terror attacks it’s hard to keep up – what’s an editor to do? Oh and by the way, beeboid morons, I think you can safely drop the speech marks around ‘terror incident’. Given that it is a muslim asylum seeker who had isis material in the van, and given he deliberately rammed a policeman, jumped out and stabbed him, then later deliberately rammed more pedestrians, I think we can safely say it was an Islamic TERROR attack, a not ‘terror’ incident. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news
All of us on here, even maxicony, know that if the perpetrators identity is withheld then it will be the usual Muslim doing what Muslims do.
We know how the bbc manipulates what it tells (and hides from) us.
“Not the first time for Canada
Jessica Murphy, BBC News, Toronto
Canada is not immune to the forces of extremism and has dealt with attacks before. In January, a gunman entered a mosque in Quebec City and fired on worshippers, killing six.”
Thank you Jessica, start with that. Then list the Muzzie murders. Without mentioning MUSLIMS.
This morning there is a report of a mass shooting in Las Vegas at a country music festival with currently 20 dead at least and several more injured.
A friend given to scouring the net is telling me that in the US people monitoring Police radios say the perpetrators were a Muslim couple who used her to gain the confidence of staff before fleeing while he unpacked an arsenal from a suitcase. She is still on the run and being hunted by the Police.
If this does turn out to be the case then the media reaction will certainly be interesting to watch as it is not becoming impossible for them to deny the link between Muslims and murderous intent.
The BBC claim that guns are a problem because they can be used to kill people without seeing that exactly the same applies to Muslims too!
I wonder how many people are doing what I have just done. I saw a headline of the mass shooting in LA but never opened the BBC page Instead I googled mass shooting in LA and found other sources.
The fact is that the BBC is unreliable and biased, whatever the news.
It’s like buying drugs straight from source or from a dodgy dealer. Once the news gets to the Beeb it has been cut with impurities like PR, propaghanda and protocol.
You need a newspeak dictionary to decipher their output: ‘mental health’ means Islamic; ‘not terror related’ means definitely terrorism; ‘we may never know the motive’ means we definitely know the motive.
George Sorros is ‘worried’ – fears erosion of gay and abortion rights?
Nothing more natural and normal than to want sex with your sex and murder your own child is there?
Now it’s possible the shooter in Las Vegas just didn’t like the band, or the music was too loud when he was trying to sleep… we’ve all been there.
But after Bataclan and Manchester Arena, one can’t help wondering.
One thing we can be sure of, if it is Islamic terrorism, at least the current POTUS won’t be afraid to say so loud and clear, unlike his pusillanimous muslim predecessor. Remember? The one who couldn’t even bring himself once to say the words Islamic Terror, and who tried, after the muslim attack on the Orlando gay nightclub, to deflect blame from a muslim killer to mainstream America for its ‘attitude to the gay community’.
Another beauty.
BBC – the world’s slowest ‘news’ organisation?
Just about every other outlet has named the shooter as a Stephen Paddock, but not the BBC.
(Cue to BBC management team: ‘He’s not one of ours, is he?’ ‘Is there a neo-Nazi connection somewhere, anywhere, no matter how tenuous?’ ‘Shit. He had an Asian companion. Doesn’t look like a redneck racist’ ‘Was he inspired by Trump?’ ‘Pass the coke and champagne’)
Let’s not jump to conclusions – lots of Asians don’t like Country music, it’s still a possibility.
Or it could be a hard-leftie – they really hate Country music, and those who like it.
R4 Woman’s Hour, long section on Muslim women going out in public (just finished 10:37)
“The security guard asked for a quick look in my bag…but he never asked any non-Muslim women”we hear from young Muslim women about what life is like for them at the moment in Britain. Muna Ahmed got in touch to say, in her view, it’s pretty grim. She sat down with a group of women, some who have converted to Islam and others, like her, who were born into the religion. They share stories of suspicion, harassment and abuse as they go about their lives online and on the street. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b096gjjk
Admittedly, I’ve not been keeping up but what exactly is the ‘argument Corbyn is winning’?
Is it:-
a promise of free stuff for some
uncontrolled immigration
white discrimination
higher taxes for for people who work and save
execution of the Royal family
scrapping our defense
spending money we haven’t got
increased Union rights
Ignoring the democratic vote – throwing away the will of the people and the power of the ballot box.
Keeping a team that fail to know their brief and facts.
Everyone gets free (tax payer pays) music lessons.
Producing a slogan that does not explain who the FEW or MANY are.
Could catch on this.
Were I to burgle Lord Snootys palatial piles and leave all his stuff on the drive…and told all passers by that they could take what they wanted, at no cost to them?
Wouldn`t I also be popular with the freeloading, the lawless and the fecund, the lazy and the violent too?
Corbyn won`t be around to account for his theft and criminality any more than Vince Cable-which is why they make such pie crust promises to the foolish young.
Cleggy is right on that one…these Ted Heaths need a good body search now before they come like Jimmy Saviles to us all.
Where`s the money for all this Corbyn you creep?
What do we do when the Euro rolls onto the shore all dead, then Vince?

BBC NOT able to show this picture from dailyrecord.co.uk …
The gunman was down at the scene in the Mandalay Bay hotel, police said. Stephen Paddock was identified as the gunman in the shooting, according to NBC News. Paddock is a 64-year-old from Mesquite, Nevada. His motive is not yet clear, but police have said they don’t think the shooting was an act of terrorism, at least not at this point.
Stephen Paddock doesn’t sound like a Muslim name, but then again people do convert and those who do appear very vulnerable to suggestions they should carry out Jihad.
There are suggestions that Paddock was a member of known terror group antifa:
Thoughtful
Anything is possible when the media follow instructions. Stephen Paddock, Thomas Mair, who knows who the assailants are.
They convinced everyone that the Glasgow bin lorry driver was not a moslem.
“His motive is not yet clear, but police have said they don’t think the shooting was an act of terrorism, at least not at this point.”
So is it only terrorism when it’s Muslims involved? Whatever his deeper motives, it seems pretty clear that he intended to cause terror in the gathering.
Like the shooting of Steve Scalise? I will put this down to a Sanders/Antifa leftie or a Muslim convert until I hear otherwise. After Jo Cox, you`ll understand why I don`t believe a word from the BBC Fake News Churnalism waste pipes just now.

If the Biased BBC commentariat were to persuade the electorate to vote them into power with a substantial parliamentary majority, what legislation would they introduce in their first hundred days? What reactions would you expect from around the country? How would it affect the lives of those who are not social conservatives? What would you tell the nation in a five-minute ministerial broadcast?
I would de-Nazify the country make it illegal for teachers at schools and universities to attempt to politically indoctrinate students.
Political correctness would be ended and the ‘isms’ given strict definitions, it would be a criminal offence to make false accusations outside these definitions.
Foreign born criminals and their offspring born here would face deportation as they do in almost every other European country, along with their families.
Salafist Islam would be proscribed
Wild,
I fear you are attempting to provoke a response you might use for your own politic . If you read many of the comments here you might be able to answe the question directly .
For my part – since we are primarily about al beeb bias –
I would fundamentally reform the bbc including removing the licence requirement . It’s supervision must be stronger – pay fairer and lower- more intelligent and more discussive – about multiculturalism – brexit – the EU – personal responsibility .
As for other issues such as quality of journLism. ( or lack of it within al beeb you should be able to draw your own conclusions .
Wild –
Thought about it again – this is what I’d put in my party political -in no particular order
Complete Brexit by March 2019. No single market . No exit fee.
Close parliament and move it up north. Reduce the size of the commons. Make MPs have one job. Limit term lengths Abolish the lords
Withdraw from ECHR . End refugee status . Reinstate death penalty for paedophilia, terrorism, treason . Abolish jury trial
Abolish the overseas aid budget. Reform the NHS for use by uk nationals only- and privatise where possible . Usage determined by NI contributions. Reform royal colleges to reduce powers.
Reform rule on charities to control Islamic fraud. Burka ban
Privatise the bbc & abolish the licence
Prevent local councils from interfering with issues outside local jurisdiction
Licence bike use with comp insurance . More roads underground. End state housing.
Reform teaching to depoliticise it. Lengthen academic year. Encourage degrees for jobs.
Introduce national Identity card. Consider national service .
Bit fed up already of the media calling this the worst ever attack in our lifetimes.
As if the Mateen attack on the Florida gay club last May was a mere blip and to be forgotten.
Whether its Boston or Florida-BOTH were pretty bloody bad, only the liberal media tries to puff up one and negate another.
Maybe if a Muslim hadn`t shot up the gay nightclub, the liberal media might have recalled it today.
No surprise to find she’s a teacher! I hope that now she is fired because anyone like that in charge of vulnerable young minds is a clear & immediate danger to them.
It looks like the liberal media have blood on their hands. Their hatred towards Trump and his supporters has been obscene. I wonder how they will try and spin this one; for sure there will be no mea culpa or the slightest tincture of compunction.
October the 29th will be the sixth year without Sir James Savile of Wood Lane.
It will also be the thirteenth year since Sir John Peel of Scousetown magical castle pegged it on the 26th October.
Both encompass the wide spectrum of popular culture and musical output and charitable, footy and TOTP work that the BBC has long been noted for.
I suggest a week long celebration of both Peel and Savile-and their exemplary role models as BBC employees, progressive views on childrens rights and autonomy.
Peel was found dead in Peru, that famed marching powder that country is known for being just a distant dream…well done Beeb!

Warmup show tonight 8pm
Richard Spendlove who’s always done an old time show aimed at pensioners like ex-National Servicemen etc with 50’s and 60’s music
Thus the nature of the show often conflicted with today’s PC culture & BBC’s anti-Brexit politics, so he was dropped after about 20 years of service on the BBC Eastern Counties network.

What a surprise that the BBC and RGS approved a £5,000 grant to an American student so she could make the show

In fact 2015 winner was also a woman
Tweets about migrant refugee rights, pro Diann Abbot, tweets hate against Trump etc.
I’m betting that far more men apply, but favouring women in not the correct way of getting more women to apply.
Furthermore I bet the judges are biased towards LibMob & SJW fantacists
OK remarkable things about the prog
It was not such a celebration of women’s rights
#1 She finds Tajikistan very sexist, mentions men having multiple wives. Doing tricks like going abroad and then sending them a message that they divorced them. She doesn’t mention the Muslim religion at all.
#2 She couldn’t get a female guide, cos they all belong to men either father or husband
#3 Both her family host man , and her guide turn out to be playboy types who expect her to sleep with them
..the old “I didn’t bring a sleeping bag trick”
This ties back to what I said about there probably being far less female applicants for this travel bursary. Although women are equal to men, and although in certain fields like getting easy access to study children, the advantage runs in favour of women…when it comes to travelling in Muslim countries things are more straight forward for men.
However my personal experience is that even then some of the local men make overtures to foreign men.
In the interview sessions (or at least the parts of them I’ve seen) at the Conservative Party Conference, Jo Coburn has maintained a relentless and tediously repetitive attack on Boris Johnson, repeatedly asking her guests whether he should be sacked. Taken with the sudden upsurge in attacks and criticism on Boris Johnson by the BBC more generally during the past few days, and the hatchet-job that was the BBC4 programme last night (again, at least the parts of it that I watched before turning it off in disgust), there has clearly been a policy decision in the BBC whose aim is to destroy Johnson. Naturally, the BBC did not act in the same way against Thornberry or any of the other Comrades. The BBC – biased, corrupt and vile.
Always nice to hear the BBC ask their “when will Boris be sacked” crap-and endless courteously clueless Tories answer in bubblespeak.
Do the Tories ever think that maybe Jo Coburn and her chums are NOT too bothered with the electoral prospects or personal advancement of a Shapps or a Rudd. Nor do they really care about “party unity” or potential “splits in this once great party”?
No really Theresa and Damian…they might look and sound like they do…but they don`t…they really don`t!
So if Boris is getting up their noses like Russell Brands coke straw, Or Rees Mogg is getting them arsey…then they`re the people that the Tories need.
Not that Mays pew fillers will see this, but we do.
If Michael Crick, Laura Kuennsberg, Andrew Marr or Robert Peston think you`re doing fine as a Tory…mature, measured and responsible-then you need to look up what happened to Von Papen or Beria, Litvenenko or Biko…and work back a little.
Excellent comment. ChrisH! It was the insane attempt to placate the BBC crocodile that saw the Tories promote Cameron way beyond his ability level – as events later proved. The theory was that a younger, smarmy ex-PR man with Leftist sympathies would get more traction with the far Left BBC than someone like IDS or David Davis.
Of course the Tories need to confront the BBC head on. Of course they won’t.
MartinW,
John Pienaar won a go at presenting WatO today in the ongoing ” I’m not getting paid enough so I’m working to rule! ” flagship & premier programme Presenter Lottery. Poor old Laura, ‘Part-time’ misses out again.
He, too, was as relentless over Bojo as you relate JoCo to have been.
Do I gain an impression that the BBC might be terrified of a journalist, with leadership experience and experience of the broadcast media & its habits, becoming Tory Party leader? Therefore, get out now & blacken his name as much as possible so that a) it doesn’t happen, and b) if it did, an immediate General Election would be a necessity to endorse the leadership of one so dire.
Only the other day (Friday?) the BBC were trying to tell me that Boris would be a popular choice for leader.
I find that hard to believe but stranger things have happened. Iain Duncan-Smith, for example. I wish the BBC would make their minds up. Today, Pienaar was all cooey, gooey, lovey-dovey over the Labour Party conference of last week.
“The BBC either reports the news that happens or propagates an idea, it cannot do both … let us see what kids can learn from the BBC … Ashura reminds Muslims of the day when Noah left his ark and Moses saved the Israelites from the Egyptians. For Shi’a Muslims, this day is the anniversary of the assassination of Ali, the grandson and son-in-law of the Prophet. .. These events are important to Muslims because Muhammad’s life is seen as the perfect example of how to live. {bbc.co.uk Festivals}”
These events are important to Muslims because MUHAMMED’S LIFE IS SEEN AS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO LIVE.
MUHAMMED’S LIFE IS SEEN AS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO LIVE
MUHAMMED’S LIFE IS SEEN AS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO LIVE
So the BBC admits this. All Muslims are tarred with the Muslim brush.
The sad fact is that there are people who could read that exchange and not understand how stupid the unnamed protester made himself look. Even sadder is that they have the vote.
Protestor: “the things you’re saying are harming people’s lives. People are dying because of the things you are advocating … Abortion rights, women’s rights … everything ”
Guido is carrying the footage on Twitter . JRM did a great job with the renta mouth kid . Pity al beeb didn’t show it on the main news . It just showed the protest banners
At primary and secondary schools they’re big on teaching, ‘citizenship’. They have elections where kids can play at campaigning and voting. They don’t teach that you’ll get lots of things that you don’t vote for and not get the things you do – really they should.
The BBC report the Oxford City Council are likely to withdraw the Freedom of Oxford honour granted to Aung San Suu Kyi in 1997 for her “long struggle for democracy”.
A motion to Oxford City Council said it was “no longer appropriate” for her to hold it because of her presiding over what is called the ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-41466301
So I checked the Oxford City Council – and it is made up of:
• Labour: 35 seats
• Liberal Democrat: 8 seats
• Green: 4 seats
• Independent: 1 seat
• Conservative: No seats
Councillors appearing on the list of members include:
• Councillor Mohammed Abbasi: Labour
• Councillor Mohammed Altaf-Khan: Liberal Democrat
• Councillor Farida Anwar: Labour
• Councillor Jamila Begum Azad: Labour
• Councillor Sajjad Malik: Labour http://mycouncil.oxford.gov.uk/mgMemberIndex.aspx?bcr=1&VW=TABLE&PIC=1
Geir Lundestad told the AP news agency that the committee hoped the award would strengthen Mr Obama.”
(Or embolden Obama to make him feel invincible and not need to earn respect, as it has been freely given. Everyone is a winner, even if you don’t try.)
– When hope not hate fails?
– Just like the BBC, it’s NOT about what Obama has done (or what has happened in the world) it’s about using the power of the Nobel Prize to bring on change (or with the BBC to promote topics of interest).
– The Nobel Prize is no longer an award, but a promise.
It’s a shame Lundestad lacks the courage to tell the truth, which is that they gave Obama the gong because of his skin colour, there being no other possible reason.
Did it ever have any credibility?
Try Sean MacBride, twenty years earlier.
Mostly a list of Grade A Lefty Wankers.
The Literature prize is another joke.
I believe now even some “Science” prizes are awarded/not awarded after political pressure.
And we can take that as a clear marker of the direction British politics will be taking in future years as the demographic balance shifts. Still, we can’t say we weren’t warned, can we?
“I told the hard left that I earned £140K a year.
They attacked me as being one of the few. I told them that I was privately educated.
They attacked me as being one of the few. I told them I spent my childhood in a seven bedroom house.
They attacked me as being one of the few. I told them that my pension pot was worth considerable more than £1M.
They attacked me as being one of the few. I told them that my name was Jeremy Corbyn and the hard left said that they would vote for me.“
After Las Vegas we can now expect huge amounts of blame and hate to be poured on Trump because of laxe gun laws, by our impartial broadcaster. Or they’ll get others to do it for them in their staged interviews.
John Pienaar excelled himself on WATO today. To hear him, last week’s Labour conference was an unadulterated triumph and Corbyn and McDonnell are going to win the next election, swept to a resounding victory by the public’s realisaton that free market economics don’t work and that hard line socialism is the only way forward. By contrast, he said, the Conservative’s conference was a funeral party.
Even if he was right about the latter, the fact is that the BBC, CH 4 et al set out to make the deeply divided Labour party look like it was having a whale of a time in Brighton. The socialist media had also decided that the deluded members in attendance, who had presumably been at the nitrous oxide, were right to be euphoric. Oh, Jeremy Corbyn! Oh, Mr Porter, more like!
Pienaar, like so many of his fellow socialists at the BBC, confuses the opinions of his peers with those of the nation. My estimation of the public mood (historically much more reliable than the BBC’s by a very long way) suggests that the public despises both parties just about equally and badly wishes there was a viable alternative.
A snippet of Labour, shared dreams … 8.30pm: Diversity Nite is back on! Infamously hosted by Keith Vaz, we’ve heard he’s back on this year. Walkabout (Labour Party Conference Sep2017)
“Keith Vaz (67% voters for Labour in GE17), the senior Labour backbencher, claimed more than £75,500 in expenses for a flat in Westminster despite his family home being a £1.15 million house just 12 miles from parliament.”
“Mr Vaz’s claims have always been in accordance with the spirit and rules of the Green Book,” – Reported 9 May 2009.
Even the Telegraph believes Corbyn will win the next election, and to tell the truth so do I.
Saturdays Telegraph cartoon shows the Tories as a set of deluded clowns on the road to Manchester scoffing at the possibility of Corbyn beating them.
May is perhaps the worst PM since Lord North, like some doubly cursed Midas every new policy seems to go horribly wrong. She has squandered a lead she didn’t need to by attacking her own supporters, and worse than that has no vision passion or drive. Asking Tory party activists what she stands for is met with a lot of blank looks and searching for something to say – invariably they fail, or come up with something inane like ‘grammar schools’.
Unless the Tories get shot of May, and the sooner the better, she will inevitably allow Corbyn to take over our country and wreck it, all for the sake of her ego.
I recall everybody being happy with May calling her election.
A chance to cement a hard edged Brexit with a full Parliamentary mandate as well as the prospect of binning hard left socialism for a generation or more.
Don`t remember too many complaining at the time.
Yes, of course she fought the worst campaign in living memory-but look at all those spineless jellies who did her bidding as if she were a political genius.
The Tories ought to have surely known about her, we had to see it all unravel day by day.
Wonder if she was introduced into the Brexit process like some kind of low grade anthrax-only a Soros puppet could be so inept in saying that she wants us out, whilst doing all she can to re-embolden the nasty anti-democratic Remainers.
Might make a good film actually.
I don’t think we can take the current Daily Telegraph as a reliable voice on anything. There is no newspaper in the UK that has fallen so far from its peak – and that is saying something.
GCooper,
Fortunately the majority of actual voters remember the Bliar/Brown dual act of almost total destruction. As for the children? Well, they’ve got a lot to learn about the Socialist path. As an acquaintance I was having a beer with recently observed, it will be the children that have to live with all and who they vote for next – we of this generation will probably be long gone.
Corbyns midas touch , as Pienaar might say, is only due to
1. Brexit being banned from any discussion
2. Proposals to kick Jews out of the Labour Party, and to deny the Holocaust as an event were kept quiet by Shami and her whitewashing commissars.
3. Computer models on how to cope with a run on the pound and a rush to the departure gates and ATMs were allowed to pass without any comment by Pienaar and friends. Even though McDonnell spoke of them.
So, not a success at all-just a momentum jackboot and veto on any real political debate , and threats to the BBCs political editor Laura Kuennsberg to ensure compliance to the new kinda gentla ostpolitik. A lefty media and labour stitch up.
By the way-where were all those noises off from the Blair era like Charles Clarke, Owen Smith and that breed of jellyfish who bought Militant 2.0 in at £3 a pop?
No BBC “split parties” or “calls for Ed Miliband to “speak out to save the party” from the Jew baiting brownshirts of the Occupy Guards and Guardianistas. We`ll get loads of this when Heseltine, Soubry and Clarke(K) get to Manchester-but we got none last week, just one happy family.
The RSPCA need to look into Thornberry saying that she killed her cats because they were so poor too. Heseltine too needs a show trial. Animal cruelty always the sign of the incipient sociopath.
“While we celebrate our diversity, what surprises me time and time again as I travel around the constituency is that we are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us.” – Jo Cox MP, 3 June 2015 (Maiden speech to the House of Commons)
… skip to the end of the report …
20. The Party should increase the ethnic diversity of its staff.
Yes, indeed. The BBC’s coverage of the Labour conference was a travesty. Pienaar, once again, proved himself nothing but a cheap Labour stooge masquerading as a journalist.
Andrew Swaffield, Monarch’s chief executive, blamed the collapse on the effects of terrorism.
“The root cause is the closure, due to terrorism, of Sharm-El- Sheikh and Tunisia and the decimation of Turkey,” he said in a letter to staff.
“Since 2015 we’ve seen yields collapse by a quarter, resulting in £160m less revenue. This has especially affected Spain and Portugal which is 80 per cent of our business.”
Surely Muslims don’t crush an industry, throw thousands of people out of work and leave thousands more stranded. Sounds like an ideal subject for Newsnight and Eddie Mair’s PM.
I guess Treezer expected the same and so intervened recently to halt the publication of the research document that was to disclose who was behind the financing of the growth of islam in the UK………………
The existence of the House of Saud is a bit of a mystery . Most of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudis but what was done ?
The wahabi Brand if evil Islam has been throwing oil money around the globe for decades causing terrorism through building madrassas and mosques but nothing done .
Time for regime change long ago . Suppose it’s part of a global game where death benefits industry and other interests
On a dreadful awful day it might be useful to change the subject, at least for a short while. The site linked to below provides a daily update as to the snow and ice cover in the Northern Hemisphere. Why is this interesting? Because it gives you the real data so you can call out lies broadcast about climate change alarmism when applied to the ‘melting arctic ice’.
You will notice from the 3 day sea ice graph that the Artic is now refreezing much faster than it normally does growing at a rate over 132,000 square kilometres per week (yes that improbably large figure is correct)!
The Northern Europe / Asia snow cover map is showing the greatest covering of snow for at least 20 years at this time of year.
Of course all this is subject to change at any time, and it’s difficult to draw a conclusion at this early stage, however one thing is certain, it’s damn cold up North for the time of the year and the Arctic is not melting !
All this cold air needs somewhere to go, and that is where the skill of the forecaster comes in. This happened a few years ago when it all moved over Canada and down into the US which experienced a bitterly cold Winter, whilst we had a mild one. It could just as easily sweep Westward though and dump it all on us instead !
Glad you posted that, Thoughtful, as it gives me a chance to relate a Thames Estuary ‘incident’ that occurred last week or the week before. It was sometime after dark, so I could not identify the specific bird, but I heard a flight of geese heading south-ish, honking away for all they were worth.
I immediately thought that strange. Almost two months too early. Does that mean once our partially-sunless Indian Summer is out of the way in the south-east, we are heading toward a very cold winter?
If so, you were forewarned here first.
This: “The Northern Europe / Asia snow cover map is showing the greatest covering of snow for at least 20 years at this time of year.” may (note the scientific word used there – may) explain the geese. There was a massive flock of Brent (Brant) Geese in the (Faversham/Sheppey/Seasalter) Swale at Christmas last year.

I watched a programme on the BBC I forget what it was called but it was something like ‘Crossing Russia’ with Simon Reeve.
Unfortunately it was a bit of a ‘we are destroying our planet fest for the BBC’ He was in Siberia and apparently it was warming up, and a nomad who had no tv or newspapers in fact nothing in that extreme wilderness except deer, a wife and several kids agreed we were destroying the planet … but of course the BBC did the translating.
We were told at least ten of thousand deer had died this year alone because they couldn’t get to their food. How this figure was arrived at in this absolute wilderness I have no idea.
The explanation for the deer not getting food was that it rained instead of snowing and the frozen ice ( that’s warming for you! ) meant they couldn’t get their hooves through to the food. Then a little while later it was that there was so little snow that it compacted under their feet so they couldn’t reach their food. . a sort of ‘have your cake and eat it’ situ for the BBC.
We were later treated to some wonderful footage of permafrost earth thawing out, except that they looked exactly like regular sink holes with vertical sides and virtually round in plan.
To be honest I don’t think the weather is any different now as to when I was a kid. What we have now is vast amounts of video cams, mobile phone cameras etc that any natural disaster is recorded now when once it wasn’t and it is shared on our vast social media sites. In short we record what was once not recorded.
You are right that there has been no material change in Arctic Ice conditions these past 10 years, Not that you would know that from the likes of the BBC, which simply wish to promote their vision of the world, and to promote their new world order, which factually is far divorced from reality, and the real world that we live in. See the data from MASIE which is the latest and most sophisticated satellite data set.
And one should not believe the hype peddled by the BBC that the Arctic is much warmer now than it was. The UK Met Office’s own temperature data (collated in conjunction with the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia) shows that recent decades (say the 24 year period between 1992 and 2016) was cooler than the decades of the 1930s and 1940s (eg, the 24 year period between 1922 and 1946). Viz:
One will note that in the 24 year period 1922 to 1946, some 12 years (ie., half the time) had a temperature anomaly of + 4degC, whereas in the 24 year period 1992 to 2016, only 6 years (ie., a quarter of the time) had a temperature anomaly of + 4 degC. Further in recent years, it has struggled to reach the + 4 degC anomaly level whereas in the 1920s to 1940s the anomalies are generally higher, and one sees some + 5degC, + 6 deg C and even a + 7degC anomaly.
In fact no recent year has come close to the warmth of 1937/8 with the + 7 degC anomaly.
MSM, and particularly the BBC, simply peddles misinformation on climate.

The BBC on their CBBC channel are going full steam ahead to indoctrinate our kids with “Black History Month”:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/news
The second story is headlined: Kids explain why Black History Month is important to them
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/41453182
Expect the CBBC channel to be filled with such stories over the next month.
The BBC propaganda is relentless

Thanks for that, I did enjoy reading this about Fabbot:
She also started the London Schools and the Black Child programme, which aims to help black children to do well in school.
If only the bBC had mentioned the part about how she sent her son to a private school whilst campaigning against them. But then black women do know best,

Shia Muslims commemorate Ashura with self-flagellation rituals in UK (Manchester, out on the street) {rt.com 01oct2017}

– Did they celebrate Ashura inside the Mosques before 2017? Not seen this reported before.
– Let’s try the BBC £3.5bn News Service and search for ‘Ashura’ …

– Odd that RT report on Ashura in Manchester,UK (oct2017) and the BBC don’t. Wiki says “it (Muslim men cutting their heads or whipping themselves until they bleed, in public, in front of women and children for God) creates a backward and negative image of their community (Shia Muslims).“

These events are important to Muslims because Muhammad’s life is seen as the perfect example of how to live. {bbc.co.uk Festivals}

Thousands of Muslims march against ISIS as brother of one of Jihadi John’s victims remembers his death {dailymail 02oct2017}
“…which also marked the religious festival of Ashura.” (was it a march against ISIS or for Islam and Ashura?)
One comment was interesting ….

Mark,
This ritual blood letting is an ancient pagan practice.

Also, those who really wanted independence (hard core supporters) would turn up so this value is meaningless in those terms. Very misleading.

But after Bataclan and Manchester Arena, one can’t help wondering.
One thing we can be sure of, if it is Islamic terrorism, at least the current POTUS won’t be afraid to say so loud and clear, unlike his pusillanimous muslim predecessor. Remember?

Until they know the why, it always has the possibility of suspected terrorism?
Suspect – have an idea or impression of the existence, presence, or truth of (something) without certain proof.
Terrorism – the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
“It’s a beautiful thing, the destruction of words. Of course the great wastage is in the verbs and adjectives, but there are hundreds of nouns that can be got rid of as well. It isn’t only the synonyms; there are also the antonyms. After all, what justification is there for a word which is simply the opposite of some other words? A word contains its opposite in itself. Take ‘good,’ for instance. If you have a word like ‘good,’ what need is there for a word like ‘bad’? ‘Ungood’ will do just as well–better, because it’s an exact opposite, which the other is not. Or again, if you want a stronger version of ‘good,’ what sense is there in having a whole string of vague useless words like ‘excellent’ and ‘splendid’ and all the rest of them? ‘Plusgood’ covers the meaning, or ‘doubleplusgood’ if you want something stronger still…In the end the whole notion of goodness and badness will be covered by only six words–in reality, only one word. Don’t you see the beauty of that, Winston?” {goodreads.com}

Pass the sick bucket, please.

I had to pay bribes to work, and the police were always harassing me.” Another said: “We don’t want our children to face the same problems and racist treatment (as a Muslim in Iran).” {arabnews.com mar2017}

Political Islam – Labour Party Alliance
The BBC report the Oxford City Council are likely to withdraw the Freedom of Oxford honour granted to Aung San Suu Kyi in 1997 for her “long struggle for democracy”.
A motion to Oxford City Council said it was “no longer appropriate” for her to hold it because of her presiding over what is called the ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims.

So I checked the Oxford City Council – and it is made up of:
• Labour: 35 seats
• Liberal Democrat: 8 seats
• Green: 4 seats
• Independent: 1 seat
• Conservative: No seats
Councillors appearing on the list of members include:
• Councillor Mohammed Abbasi: Labour

Nobel secretary regrets Obama peace prize {bbc.co.uk sep2015}
“Awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to US President Barack Obama in 2009 failed to achieve what the committee hoped it would, its ex-secretary has said.

Odd haven’t seen this on BBC about the Monarch collapse:
http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/monarch-staff-passengers-stranded-holidays-wrecked-after-4am-airline-collapse-a7977706.html

Guess boycotts swing both ways … On 9 September 2006, BBC News reported that the Muslim boycott of Danish goods had reduced Denmark’s total exports by 15.5% between February and June. This was attributed to an approximated 50% decline in exports to the Middle East. The BBC said, “The cost to Danish businesses was around 134 million euros ($170m), when compared with the same period last year, the statistics showed.”[82] However, The Guardian newspaper in the UK said, “While Danish milk products were dumped in the Middle East, fervent right-wing Americans started buying Bang & Olufsen stereos and Lego. In the first quarter of this year Denmark’s exports to the US soared 17%.“[83] Overall the boycott did not have a significant effect on the Danish economy.[84] {wiki}

Unlike the closely held princely titles of the House of Windsor, the House of Saud is somewhat promiscuous with the designation: there are (at the time of writing) over 10,000 Saudi “princes” running around the country – and, in fact, at this time of year, more likely running around Mayfair and the French Riviera, exhausting the poor old blondes from the escort agencies. {steynonline.com 18jul2017}

On a dreadful awful day it might be useful to change the subject, at least for a short while. The site linked to below provides a daily update as to the snow and ice cover in the Northern Hemisphere. Why is this interesting? Because it gives you the real data so you can call out lies broadcast about climate change alarmism when applied to the ‘melting arctic ice’.
http://www.natice.noaa.gov/ims/

See the data from MASIE which is the latest and most sophisticated satellite data set.
https://realclimatescience.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Image589_shadow.png
2017 has, if anything, seen a partial increase in ice, particularly in Greenland which has seen the 5th largest ice gain on record. See:
https://realclimatescience.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Image740_shadow.png
And one should not believe the hype peddled by the BBC that the Arctic is much warmer now than it was. The UK Met Office’s own temperature data (collated in conjunction with the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia) shows that recent decades (say the 24 year period between 1992 and 2016) was cooler than the decades of the 1930s and 1940s (eg, the 24 year period between 1922 and 1946). Viz:
http://notrickszone.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Arctic-Temperatures-1920-2017-HadCRUT4.jpg
