The BBC were boasting last week of the awards they had won for their radio shows…not too difficult when you have enormous resources that are guaranteed due the unique way the BBC is funded.

One set of liberal luvvies give bells and whistles to another set of liberal luvvies. I think , for ordinary people , it means nothing .

WHO pays for the ceremony? Does the BBC contribute, if so then it means you contribute to – under threat of prison.

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to abolish the licence fee and let the BBC be free to fund itself. It could also change its name at the same time to LPBC (Labour Party Broadcasting Corporation). I’m sure that the LP and most Trade Unions would be happy with this arrangement and they would be free to present “real news for real people” and some good old soviet style programmes.
Just think, those of us that pay the licence fee would have £145.00 extra to spend each year. and those that do not pay would have to start paying. It could be a winner all round despite Brexit.
