LBC leftie and sometime Newsnight presenter James O’Brien helped fake news about the collapse of Carillion go viral yesterday. Keen to find a damaging line, O’Brien tweeted that the company’s chairman is “an adviser to the Prime Minister Theresa May on corporate responsibility”. Nope…
O’Brien was later forced to correct his assertion in another tweet:
Gets his news from the Guardian…that’ll teach him.
I don’t listen to Gobby Jobby now as he has over the years changed from a self admitted Quasi Marxist ( whatever that is ) that could just about be tolerated to a fully fledged member of the conspiracy theory loony left brigade. He has become a a bit of a liability for the moderate left and I regularly email him at LBC when read about him here to poke fun at him.
Maybe one or two others here could do the same it is fun. It never used to be that easy as he is a slippery debater ( as opposed to intellectual ), but now he has clearly gone downhill and become mentally quite bitter and twisted trashing his arguments has become easy.
I am no fun of Kay Burley and her ‘Kay Burley news views’ at six on Sky, however if you YTube Kay Burley and J O’brien she does get the better of him over his disgraceful treatment of Frank Lampard.
On a different note, Sky newsroom is having a move, and Burley became a little nostalgic saying that it has reported on some bad things … she mentioned Trump Brexit and IS, she then proceeded to say that they had reported on happier things…. I rest my case about Sky bias !

Sad news for j o brien fans . According to guido he is no longer on the Newsnight roster – presumably for artistic reasons . I won’t watch Newsnight anymore and certainly not mr o brien – who is so obviously a first class c::: .
I remember when Newsnight was a quality programme like a nightly panorama . I can only guess how bad it is now . Suppose it’s cheap though .
