Well, the animal worshipers do seem to think that the beasts have more intelligence than humans. So on the subject of freedom I have to bow to the higher opinion of the Killer Whale but on everything else -name your subject- I do have this nagging reservation——–
Diane Abbot, David Lammy and others should be in an ‘X Factor’ style show to crown the nation’s greatest public moron. Each week they compete to offer the most moronic policy ideas for different subjects: law and order; education; international relations.
Lily Allen could be one of the judges.

So there you have it. Dunkirk censored to risk causing offence. Our EU masters rule.
What I’ve learnt from the BBC is that the Germans had nothing to do with the second world war.
WW2 was started by the Nazi’s who came from Nazi land. All the Germans hated the Nazis and had nothing to do with them. When the war ended all the Nazis and Nazi land vanished – forever.
The first world war was started by the British, who are always responsible.
Dover,
One of the problems with movies is that no matter how seriously they are intended, in the end they are all basically fantasies.
I’ve seen comments on forums lately to the effect that “oh, the British only escaped from Dunkirk because the French army protected them.” I’m sure this is based on the depiction in the opening scenes of this movie. Also, correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t the BEF still fighting in France weeks after Dunkirk?
Another thing that occurred to me when I saw the film was that the British soldiers in it were much like the teen-aged conscript characters of the Vietnam movies of the eighties. Well, why not? Christopher Nolan was born in 1970. Surely Britain’s professional army who joined up in the ’30s wouldn’t have been like this?
Arthur C. Clarke said that reading science fiction is a bad way to learn about science. Obviously, watching war movies is a bad way to learn about history.
Big article about being LGBT at work. Who has even the slightest issue with homosexuality these days? And even if someone did have a problem they would know expressing any issue would ruin them.

A casual observer may have thought that the ‘enemy’ were perhaps ‘Methodists’?
Why the airbrush? The risk of offending a nation that tried to conquer and destroy Europe twice last century?
