President Trump meets the Rocket Man today and its possible that the 1950 Korean War will officially end . Britain lost over 1000 dead in that war .So how will al beeb cover this historic meeting ? We can but guess.
This week marks a year since a fire in a tower block. There might be no better week to abstain from Al Beeb…but for those witnessing the bias here be a new thread .
e” OK Diversity Department at the BBC. You did a good job
keeping any mention of the rally for the extreme right wing
fascist scumbag Robinson off the news.” But BIG BROTHER
wasn’t he imprisoned for mentioning that mostly British
Pakistani Muslim men were grooming and raping girls as young as
eleven?” Smith I thought we sacked you weeks ago. Seamus

” Now I have another project, listen carefully. Sophie Raworth
will be reading the 1 PM news on Monday 11 June. I know
that shit Trump will have to feature as the main news item.
BUT I want the stories about the Muslim lady doctor struck off
and then reinstated.”” But Big Brother didn’t she reportively make over twenty procedural mistakes, and the little boy died?” ” Whiteman, I’ve warned you before, this is the DIVERSITY department. All
doctors are equal, but some doctors are more equal than others!
I want this story followed up by the absolutely filthy disgusting
story of a white step father raping his daughter.” ” We will get
this done Big Brother. But do you think that some will think
why are we showing this when Tommy Robinson was banged
up for 13 months for telling the same story, about mostly Muslim
rape gangs? Is it possible that some viewers will remember that
on Newsnight in 2011 Jeremy Paxman interviewed or should
I say interrogated Tommy Robinson when he disclosed all of
this and Paxman was scornfull and facetious to say the least
to Robinson? It’s on YOU TUBE, you know.”
” I told you to get the news editors to include these two
features on the 1 PM news on Monday. Just make sure it
is done. WE RUN THE NEWS AGENDA AT THE BBC !!!”

Grenfell : TV architect George Clarke ‘s article starts off seeming NOT to be the expected politicisation, but then goes that way as he says “£8.7m refurbishment of the block in 2016 resembled cheap cosmetic surgery”
Em £44K/apartment is NOT cheap
You really can build a terrace of houses for that in Indonesia etc.
He might have been an eye witness , but he should just leave the analysis to the proper experts in the inquiry.

In 1974, Islam was recognized as one of the subsidized religions in Belgium and the Muslim Executive of Belgium was founded in 1996. In 2006, the government gave €6.1 million (US$7.7 million) to Islamic groups. There are an estimated 328-380 mosques in the country.

BoB – I think what happened is that Spain elected some little boy socialist, who doesn’t actually have a majority, but must have got hold of Merkel’s little black book of grabbing power without same. We will see whether he has also read Part2, which is about how to stay in power without a majority. He has definitely read the Merkelian Prologue, which is how to virtue-signal ceaselessly while screwing your own people…
PS: I see you beat me too it, Rob. Nevertheless, I am inspired to look a little deeper into the Spanish situation, which I neglected due to Puidgemont disappearing from our screens…

Am here fresh from the end of Dangerous Visions, First World Problems on R4 2.15-3.00pm.
It wasn’t very good. Score out of 10?
2 would be kind, 1 would be realistic if 0 was not the lowest possible score. It was probably written by three teenagers on work experience at the BBC. Thinking about it, that might be being unkind to teenagers.
I have checked – no wonder it was unbelievable, far-fetched rubbish, the script was by Martin Jameson with a couple of Committees worth of the following:
“Script Consultants:
Tamara Kovacevic – Senior BBC journalist with first hand experience of the Balkan conflicts of the 1990s
Richard Vergette – Writer and teacher for advice on parenting a teenager with Down Syndrome
With thanks to:
Malcolm Barnard
Peter Barnes – BBC Senior Political Analyst
Louisa Brooke-Holland – Senior Research Analyst, International Affairs and Defence section, House of Commons Library
Rory Cellan-Jones – BBC Technology Correspondent
Gabrielle Garton Grimwood – Senior Research Analyst in Emergency Planning
Mike Livingstone – Former Strategic Director of Children’s Services, Manchester City Council.
Jonathan Marcus – BBC Diplomatic Correspondent
Prof Bill McGuire – Professor Emeritus; Geophysical & Climate Hazards, UCL
Dr Gemma Sou – Lecturer in Disaster Studies, University of Manchester
Peter Wynne-Wilson – Course Director, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (for advice on Birmingham and its demographics)
Imogen Woolrich and the Octagon Bridges Theatre Group,
Harri Chambers – for Welsh translations,
and Steve Pearce, Eric Bradley & John Rudin for IT advice.”
The penultimate advisor in that list was obviously essential for the Anglo-Scottish element. That really should have warned Jonquil Panting that he was going to have a disaster on his hands even if he was not alive (from experience?) to the fact that too many cooks in the creative process leads to a real dog’s dinner of a play or film.
BBC, please bring back Rumpole, McLevy or Pilgrim and let us have some decent Radio Drama.
I am partial to a good bit of dystopian, Neil Gaiman’s ‘Neverwhere’ for example. ‘First World Problems’ was really bad. I will not be listening to the rest of the series.

Look, the migrants on the boats should be rescued and then sent back to Libya or wherever they came from originally. Why can’t the BBC understand that simple point?

Totally clueless. Can’t they see that the more we ‘rescue’ and bring into Europe, the more will risk their lives to come. Oh no, wait, it’s what they want isn’t it. And what the hell are this German charity doing out there anyway – fecking do-gooders will only make it worse.
For the sake of balance you’d think they’d have Douglas Murray on, but as yet I’ve yet to hear his commonsense view on the subject.

The 8am news headlines this morning-NEWS headlines remember?-featured the following
1. Trump is meeting Kim John Un tomorrow in Singapore.
2. The Tories hope to muddle through on Brexit votes later in the week.
3, Aaron Banks is Roman Abramovich, sort of anyway.
….other stuff about Grenfell I think and maybe some sporty thing.
Of the four “headlines”-not ONE was “news”.
Just futuristic gossip and tittle tattle from below stairs.
So it`s not the 8am News Headlines….but speculation by the BBCs own shoe sniffers about stuff later in the week.
The BBC is a news free zone, just a rumour mill and hot gossip without the support or thongs.
Did this news scrubbing showpony become inevitable when they`ve been up all night and on drugs as we slept?
They need only to be allowed on from 4-11 pm and with a day off on Thursdays and Sundays….
Media signal landfill and white noise as we stand hooded to a wall.
And as for Araon Banks.
Some Tory nonce called Damian Collins is in charge of “fake news watching” in the Commons.
And has -as you`d expect-asked Aaron to come into the Commons to account for himself.
And so Collins himself is a peddler or fake news-but is there to prevent that?
Eh?
Does Perry Groves know that the world is his for the taking, it`s like we`re all on drugs and frosties with glitter and dexys crumbled on top?
But no laughter allowed at the BBC. Serious face, the one we save for their comedy.

Field Marshal Francis Wallace Grenfell, 1st Baron Grenfell, GCB, GCMG, PC (29 April 1841 – 27 January 1925) was a British Army officer. After serving as aide-de-camp to the Commander-in-Chief, South Africa, he fought in the 9th Xhosa War, the Anglo-Zulu War and then the Anglo-Egyptian War. He went on to become Sirdar (Commander-in-Chief) of the Egyptian Army and commanded the forces at the Battle of Suakin in December 1888 and at the Battle of Toski in August 1889 during the Mahdist War. After that he became Governor of Malta and then Commander-in-Chief, Ireland before retiring in 1908.

The BBC’S Madrid correspondent Guy Hedgerow has an exclusive here. It’s a win/win situation for Spain. The silly Italians have no idea of what benefits such a decision could bring –
A smart move by Spain’s new prime minister:
While Spain’s willingness to take in the Aquarius has surprised many observers, for the new Spanish government it does make political sense for several reasons.
The move solves a potentially thorny problem for the European Union, bolstering Pedro Sánchez’s hopes of becoming an influential leader within the bloc.
The new prime minister appears keen to distance himself from the legacy of his predecessor, Mariano Rajoy, whose international impact was discreet and who only took in a fraction of the refugees agreed upon in a 2015 accord with the EU.
In addition, this gesture is likely to impress left-leaning parties such as Podemos which were instrumental in voting the Socialist in to office on 1 June, and whose support he still needs.

That sounds pretty reasonable doesn’t it? I mean threatening to rape someone is pretty vile…. but, hang on a minute, is this the same Jess Phillips MP that said she had “no problem” with male suicide etc… the same Jess Phillips MP that’s for ever trolling men online?
Given that our laws on ‘hate speech’ only seem to work in one direction, what she’s really saying is “I want to be able to say nasty things about men, but if they say anything nasty back I want them imprisoned”… or am I wrong?

News reporting at the BBC has become so corrupted that reform is pointless and it might just be better to shut the whole thing down and start again.
Example: take a routine press release from any one of dozens of publicity-seeking charitable think tanks suggesting that British economic growth rate is sluggish. Then report the press release on the radio all day explaining that most of the risks to the economy are down to Brexit. Then look at the stock market and see if it has fallen on the day and if there is no joy there, hope the pound dipped a bit.
This is exactly what Kamal Ahmed, the BBC’s “economics editor” is doing today, selecting facts and opinions to fit the agenda. The press release comes from the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (no, me neither) and is being broadcast more or less word for word. The stock market, sadly, is up – in fact rather a lot at 0.73% but the pound fell a tad so that will do.
In the exciting new BBC anti-news room this “news” confection is perfect – the journalist is a man, that can’t be helped, but he has a reassuringly ethnic name, and it fits the BBC political agenda. Maybe it could do with some more diversity input, a disabled trans agreeing how dreadful all this Brexit uncertainty is, but I nitpick.

#1 No secret meetings
Times “Oh you only admitted one meeting with Russians, but you had 3”
Banks “The first was a boozing lunch meeting is known about, cos I put it my biography. Now that book ended in Louisiana, and the other boozy lunch and cup of tea meetings came after that date”
#2 No secret Trump phone numbers just handed to Russians
We didn’t know anything about the Trump campaign, then we went to visit Kelly Ann Conway’s office in Trump.. and then there was huge demonstration of 40K people surrounding the tower, the police locked down the building and so we were stuck for 5 hours.
At some point someone came and asked a question, they said ‘We are from the Trump transition team and the thing is no one expected Trump to win so none of the foreign embassies did any preparation they didn’t contact us , your’e with the Brits so maybe you have Downing Street’s number ?’
So I said yes I have it, but I am actually a diplomat for Belize is there a number I can give to people, and she said yes and gave me the ONE phone number for the Trump transition team… there was only ever ONE number
.. So the next week I was representing the Belize government at Buckingham Palace and I gave the number to a number of foreign ambassadors . The day after I went to my lunch appointment with the Russian ambassador and he said ‘Look we didn’t expect Trump to win, do you have their number and I said yes the Transition team gave me a number to give out”
#3 The gold mine : Someone at the Russian embassy said there was someone who had idea to amalgamate some Russian gold mines, so we talked about that.

Or am I muddling Oppenheim and Oppenheimer or have I got that all completely wrong and no Brits are involved at all?
I seem to recall that one of them was on BBC R4 about 7 or 8 years ago and talking about getting into gold trading and starting an investment fund. No good me trying a search on the BBC w/s – I have discovered long ago that the BBC search facility is absolutely useless for searches.

I’m in the doghouse, I went out for a run leaving the TV on bbc1. My excuse is that there was a hilarious documentary on about female wrestling in Japan. Seriously. Anyway my wife was in the bath and had to listen to half an hour of screaming and shouting (EastEnders) and when I got back she was in the kitchen doing the dishes. She said it was a documentary about Grenfell now and she “couldn’t face going in to switch the channel over”.

Why a Climate Change conference needs 40,000 asses.
Since 2009, many scientists have proven that Carbon Dioxide induced Climate Change is as President Trump has said “A Hoax”. In 2009 the scientist Gerhard Gerlich proved directly the “Falsification Of The Atmospheric CO2 Greenhouse Effects Within The Frame Of Physics“. Further confirmation of the CO2 warming hoax was obtained through thermodynamics and successfully finding a formula that works for both of the carbon dioxide atmospheres of Venus and Mars, as well as all the other planetary atmospheres. In 2011, Ned Nikolov & Karl Zeller introduced the “Unified Theory of Climate” which proved that the temperature relationship with the altitudinal changes of pressure, prove that the physical nature of the so-called Greenhouse Effect is in fact a Pressure-induced Thermal Inertia which is independent of the atmospheric chemical composition. Ned Nikolov spoke at the London Climate Change Conference on Thursday, 8th September 2016 about this. By early 2018, the scientist who had just proven that Climate Change is caused by Galactic Cosmic Rays regulating the Earth’s Cloud Albedo, Professor Henrik Svensmark, was invited to speak in the Committee rooms of the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. In fact, for two hundred years, Astronomers from William Herschel onwards had known about correlations between Climate Change and Sun Spot numbers, this was followed by more accurate correlations with Solar Cycle Length and then finally, the Hale Magnetic Solar Cycle. By 2018 it had been established that these correlations are caused by the speed of the centre of the Sun relative to the centre of mass or barycentre of the Solar System, which determines the length of the solar cycles, or more importantly the 22 year, Hale Magnetic Solar Cycle. This in turn is caused by the orbits and masses of the Planets, short Hale Magnetic Solar Cycles have higher Solar Magnetic activity due to the increase in the speed of plasma within the Sun. Between 1913 and 1996, only one of eight Solar Cycles was longer than the mean Solar Cycle length of 11.04 years, the last of these was the shortest Solar Cycle for more than 200 years, the strength of the Suns magnetic field more than doubled, the cosmic ray flux fell by 11 percent and there was a 8.6 percent reduction in clouds. This caused alarmism about Global Warming which lead the United Nations to set up the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), but this organisation was corrupted by environmentalism, politics, conflicts of interest and the corruption of the scientific method, as well as the fact that amongst the 40,000 delegates at the 2015 Paris Summit of the UN Convention on Climate Change, Climate Scientists did not dominate the debates that produced the agreement. This lead many Climate scientists to call for the IPCC to be disbanded as well as to set up the 2016 London Climate Change Conference, which was dominated by Causational Climate scientists such as Atmospheric Physicists, Solar Astronomers and Meteorologists. This also resulted in US President, Donald Trump, to end US funding for the IPCC in 2017, and to say that man-made Climate Change is a “Hoax”.

Richard, atmospherics apart, there is plenty more evidence that AGW is a hoax:
1a. In the UK, the fact that Government imposed taxes not on all carbon emissions but selectively
1b. In the UK, the fact that Government took measures that actually increased emissions from the first activity that they punitively taxed
1c. In the UK, the fact that Government actually had reason to benefit from harm ie. increased tax revenues
1d. In the UK, the fact that Government did not immediately invest in energy production using the least CO2 generating source, and,
2. The theory that we are on a planet that has a self-adjusting and self-healing capability and processes as a living biosphere.

Mel Phillips video, begins by explaining when she worked for the Guardian they would use lies in the stories , cos they said that was OK cos they were “reflecting a greater truth”
min 32 about Progressism and Left/lib Groupthink
Why is this groupthink happening ?
We have these IDEOLOGIES and they are ideas which drive everything before them.
(Replacing religion the followers believe) They are ideas which cannot be challenged because they are so powerful.
Why are they so powerful ? because they are all a drive to the perfection of the world.
Green Grouthink
Deep green environmentalists believe that their governing idea is all about saving the planet from extinction.
Anybody who questions any part of that is automatically not just wrong but a bad person because that person wants to not help protect the environment not help prevent the world from destroying itself.
And so that person who questions any part of deep green environmentalism has to be literally suppressed prevented from speaking , because that person embodies evil incarnate.
And I don’t exaggerate: people who oppose or are skeptical of manmade global warming theory are called DENIERS in a specific attempt to equate the denial of manmade global warming theory with those who deny the Holocaust.
So it’s a specific attempt to equate them with genocidal lunatics and that is absolutely par for the course, and that is not challenged.

Thanks for this – really interesting. I don’t consider myself particularly naive, but I was shocked about her introductory story of the fabricated war story in the Guardian. Not surpised that she isn’t invited to speak in some circles!! Think I will buy her book.

This evening’s EastEnders:
In brief, Mick Carter (for the uninitiated, landlord of the Queen Vic) goes out with his old mate Stuart. Stuart is the very BBC image of a 35-40yr old working-class white male – bald, bantering, lairy and thuggish.
Mick nicks Stuart’s phone as a wind-up. Stuart goes violently bananas when he can’t find it and has to be dragged out of the club they’re in. Shortly thereafter, and puzzled by Stu’s behaviour, Mick has a look through his phone – and finds pictures and text conversations that indicate Stuart is a paedophile groomer. Oh dear.
The absence of BBC reporting on Muslim rape gangs has been highlighted by many on these pages – but then, why report the world as it is when you can re-invent it in a version you prefer in soap opera form?

The BBC and the rest of the Left have yet to realise that that the USA is by far the most powerful country in the world.
It’s economy for instance, dwarfs that of the EU and Russia combined.
It’s military capability both nuclear and conventional outguns by far any opposition.
But the USA is a benign democracy and doesn’t seek world domination, thankfully.
However, the BBC hate Trump.
Trump is justified in withdrawing all military support for NATO and imposing whatever tariffs he desires.
The EU comprise only 14% of world trade. They need to show some respect.

24 Carat Anti-Brexit Propaganda on Look North Hull Tonight #ProjectFear
… How can you talk about Russian Funding etc. when that prog used licence payers ££s to fly our LOCAL NEWS reporter to Germany to make an advert for Remain Activists ?
.. If a German Car Import transport company want to give an opinion then just report it.
There is no need to make a 10 minute fancy item, with fancy graphics, where you FLY to German and interview him with his main point being
She made a big stunt look here we are in German with a car that come from Slovenia 24 hours ago; I’m putting the Look North Card on the dashboard.
Then H”ere we near Immingham and the Look North Car has arrived ”
Duh .. all you did was put a car on a ferry and then see it arrive at the opposite port !
Worker “the car arrives from the factory to customer in 20 days”
That doesn’t seem super fast to me

Their final interview was with the local MP Martin Vickers who then totally rubbished the claims saying it’s upto the EU to negotiate and have minimum/zero tariffs.
At the end of the show all the viewers comments supported him
They read out a comment that called them “BiasedBBC” “Another Brexit scare story from the Biased BBC”
SarahCorkerNews last interview was in Bridlington with Bob Geldof telling her bad Brexit is
..Which Anti-Brexiteer will she interview next ?

The show was about Kia cars. Kia is a Korean company
I wonder if the only reason they have a factory in Slovenia is cos of EU trade barriers
It produces less than 10% of Kia’s output.
90% of Kia cars are made outside the EU, maybe they will be cheaper when we get them straight from Korea,

re KIa
I worked on several auto logistics projects for UK, US and Japanese supply chains. Some of the details on landed costs were surprising. For example you could get components from Indian companies to the UK for a similar price even with the trade barriers. So I think the BBC report shows the politics involved and the interests of German industry rather than the full potential after Brexit to look to other markets.

Seems this hit piece was penned by someone alert to trigger claims from a near relative but not terribly au fait with reality, or basic journalistic practice.
Or, as the bbc would name them, a ‘reporter’.
Hence not doing too well with the readership so far.

‘We are supportive of the concept of a national broadcaster producing high-quality programmes, helping unify the nation around a common culture. However, the BBC’s ‘progressive’ bias renders it unfit to fulfil its function. News reporting tends to be one sided, often including stories that are obviously included to promote an idea such as transexualism and assisted suicide. The overwhelming cultural bias evident in other programming, including children’s, is even worse. The BBC’s influence skews national debate and leads to widely held and reasonable views being regarded as dangerous extremism. The BBC should begin to compete with other media companies on a level playing field. The licence fee should purchase access to BBC output, but not paying the fee should not restrict access to other TV’

RE Scottish Family Party…
“Many Muslims in Scotland and the UK are model citizens, contributing broadly and embracing shared fundamental freedoms and principles.
Political Islam is a dynamic factor on the world political stage and, though the religious tenets of Islam are of no political concern, the moral and political systems are. Muslim-majority countries tend towards draconian laws, persecution of minorities, and suppression of freedom of religion and expression, and violence towards non-Muslims is common. These practices seem to find their source in the teaching of the Quran and the moral example of Muhammad. We must ensure that our nation does not head in this direction in the longer term.
We must reject all proposals to integrate elements of Sharia law into the UK and Scottish legal system.
Freedom of religion and expression must be upheld: no one has the right not to be offended.
Frank public debate about all aspects of Islam should not be curtailed by political correctness and fear of prosecution.
Funding of Islamic activity here by states that persecute non-Muslims in their own land should be stopped. Saudi-funded Edinburgh Central Mosque, for example, stands as a monument to double standards.
Those supporting or encouraging terrorism should be prosecuted vigorously.
Surveys show that views incompatible with an open democratic society are widespread among British Muslims, with some second generation immigrants being more radical than their parents. Integration and assimilation are not progressing as well as we would like. There is, therefore, good reason to keep immigration of Muslims to a very low level, particularly those from countries where extremism is rife.
Muslim schools must be monitored closely.
Our nation is founded on values and principles that have made it prosperous and free. It is our responsibility to pass on these benefits for our children and grandchildren.”
The tide is changing.

I for one do worry about German car manufacturers maybe adding a few Euros onto the price of a Daimler window wiper if we get the full Brexit. We really need to stay in the EU.
Likewise, I for one really was inclined to vote to stay in the EU and to welcome Turkey in too-when that nice Mr Juncker said something about roaming charges maybe coming down by a cent or two per quarter.
What`s wrong with us all?
Verhofstad showed us his Brylcreem buttie next to a dead bird in a box, we turned down a cent in roaming charges if we phone from Latvia on Saturday evenings, and my Bosch widget might cost me an extra Euro now.
The BBC are right-Brexit is really horrid poopy pants , and I for one don`t want sovereignty at all. The BBC never mention sovereignty , so it`s bound to be too scary and complex for us to understand.
Free Tom Robinson! He was once good to be gray, but he`s gay this week.
He once “sang” he had a brother called Martin-but he`s lying. Fake News.

Banksy artwork rejected for Royal Academy summer exhibition
”A Banksy artwork submitted under a false name was rejected by the Royal Academy – then displayed after he sent it in again using his real identity.”
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-44446806
kind of funny on a few levels, the BBC never use Banskys real name, but always tell us who the pseudonym Tommy Robinson is,
And he didn’t get what he wanted fairly, but happy to get his way by another means – and his subject is brexit…
‘Article sure ticks the boxes Politically correct Banskys and a bent transvestite :
The summer exhibition has been co-curated by Grayson Perry. The Turner Prize-winning ceramic artist said he wanted to celebrate the “democratic rough and tumble” of the world’s largest open-submission show.’
”The Royal Academy has been approached for comment but has yet to respond”
oh so the bbc think it’s just the Academy who has questions to answer and not bansky

How the BBC manipulates the Truth: In intellectual circles its called “BBC Censorship”
Its getting very bad at the BBC: The Corbynistas are blaming the Jews, but Climate scientist Piers Corbyn has told his brother Jeremy that Trump is correct about it being a hoax. And a foreigner George Soros says he wants to fund a second referendum, but the Blairites are blaming Russian foreigners for the result of the first referendum, which was a no, to continued rule of Britain, by unelected foreigners. Also the Skripals are thought to be still alive despite MI6 knowing that they are Russians who could defy a D-Notice and talk to RT.

Much enjoying Al Beeb’s coverage of the Singapore Sling this morning- to quote Charlie on the Breakfast Sofa, “we know nothing”. As the assembled beeboids in Singapore have not the slighted idea what is going on (as, clearly, they have zero access to the US delegation) they have been in their usual “managing expectations” mode which is to say talking down the prospects for any positive outcome coupled with claims that the North Korean dictator is the potential “winner”. But hush – here comes the signing ceremony ……

I’ve been listening to the radio coverage on Toady . It’s more about what is not said . No mention of Democrats , other American politicians , Presidents and obviously a sour spin on the document they jointly signed being meaningless .
It’s as expected I suppose . I could hear that Sopel had spent ages crafting his report in order not to recognise any achievement by president trump whatsoever .
As an aside I’ve mentioned here before that I put a mad bet at the beginning of the year of President Trump meeting rocket man in 2018 at 250/1 – unfortunately paddy power added ‘in North Korea ‘ so not paid out yet!
I’m waiting for old mother John Simpson to put his regal spin on this failure of diplomacy and negotiation …

I hope Monkey Brains over at ITBB will forgive me porting over their entire comment from the open thread, to illustrate what it is about Katty Kay that has attracted our Nick…
“Monkey Brains12 June 2018 at 00:43
Katty Kay has an odd idea of what it means to maintain impartiality as a senior news presenter for BBC America.
She goes out of her way to voice her support for Stormy Daniels and excoriate Trump/Giuliani.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-44418519
It’s one thing to report negative comments about Trump and Guiliani. But to side with their attackers?
Here’s how she finishes off the article:
“As Ms Daniels own lawyer, Michael Avenatti, was quick to point out, “Mr Giuliani is an absolute pig for making those comments,” he told an interviewer.”
Leaving aside the clumsy construction (C minus for an experienced journalist in terms of style I would say), use of the phrase “As x pointed out…” means that as a writer you identify with the quotation…she is clearly nailing her partisan colours to the mast. No harm in that if she was not employed by the BBC and moreover was not using a BBC platform to present her views as “news analysis”.
If the BBC allows this sort of comment through, then its journalists will just be free to insult Trump and his allies with not even a pretence of objectivity”.

It’s interesting to see Iain Dale make that comment, as he has shown stratospheric levels of TDS on his LBC show.
