The Far Left BBC has been silent on the poisonous UN Treaty on Migrants which the outgoing PM will sign on our behalf this week. It is a horror and shows how far the UN has become a disfunctional lefty cancer in need to urgent reform .
When the next government – of whatever type incorporates the treaty into UK law people will wonder what the hell is going on – bet the BBC won’t tell them .
There is a petition on the government website and I am sure some friend will put up the link in
I can’t understand why some on this forum and out in the world, have this belief that TM is going to pull off some technical blinder or that the deal won’t go through Parliament.
Theresa doesn’t care about getting us a clean brexit, she doesn’t want it to be success and she wants to place this country under the boot of the EU.
This talk, and belief, that MPs will vote against it is foolhardy and will leave many, including JRM in a position where they can’t do anything to stop it.
Leadsom and Fox are stalling but have already been turned. Any chance of creating drama or a real change has been blown by the eeking out of resignations. You have to go shock and awe in one big hit not dribble out your hand.
They might believe that they are keeping ‘their powder dry’ but the gun is now empty. There’s nothing to fire and this bastard sham of a ‘deal’ will go through and commit the greatest act of democratic treachery this country has seen.
It’s a f***ing disgrace and this ridiculous ‘no after you’ chivalry and belief that the HoP will save us is childishly naive.
Our arms are being slipped into the strait jacket whilst we still think we have a way out.

I heard on the Today programme this morning a long advertisement for a new opera about Karl Marx. I imagine it will be dreadful, as all modern opera seems to do without anything you might recognise as an actual tune.
The composer seems to think he is the first person to find out that Marx had a rackety private life, sponging off Friedrich Engels and getting his maid pregnant. Anyone who was bothered knew this already.
It was noticeable that Nick Robinson referred to Marx as the “great man”, but apparently he was a Young Conservative about 100 years ago, so that’s all right.
I imagine this opera will be supported by government grants of some sort. Maybe even EU funding, who knows? Now, after its free BBC advert, it will be watched by a few of the poncier members of the metropolitan elite, who can all moan about Brexit during the interval.
Don’t you just love paying for this shit?

Engels will be played by a Soprano, who is a black transvestite and lesbian. The maid who was seduced by Marx will appear as a Muslim, showing how not all victims of sexual abuse are by the grooming gangs.
As in all operas there will be a chorus, and this will represent the proletariat, played by Grenfellians and Momentums from the yoonies

\\ Nadiya Hussain is publishing a new narrative non-fiction book called Finding My Voice, exploring the many different roles assigned to her by gender, culture, society and religion.
The book will publish in hardback in October 2019, after Lindsey Evans, publishing director at Headline Home, bought world rights from Anne Kibel at A K Artist Management.
In the book, devoting each chapter to a different role, Hussain will write about all of her various identities: from ‘daughter’ and ‘sister’, as part of a large family growing up in Luton, to ‘devout Muslim’, while culturally torn between two countries, and, on entering an arranged marriage, ‘wife’ and ‘mother’ herself. It will also cover her thoughts on becoming a celebrity after winning “The Great British Bake Off”, with the later chapters covering her more recent roles of ‘baker’, ‘Twitter handle’ and ‘TV presenter’.//

Brexit backstop plan is calculated risk – Geoffrey Cox http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46419790
This lead article shows plainly the bias of the bbc towards staying in the EU. So, the AG thinks it is a calculated risk that Britain should take, as we all know that the EU is such a reliable and generous neighbor who respects our sovereignty. The facts are mentioned a little further down the article but in muted tones…cross party bid to get a contempt of parliament (why isn’t this the headline as with Sky), AG thinks we could be indefinitely linked to the EU as a result of the backstop.
How much more of this can May survive? She is so truly awful that I’m convinced there are mighty powers at play here.
Worrying times.

We have just seen a two year period of “negotiation” with the EU, which turned out, as anyone could have foreseen, to be a punishment beating for the UK for having the temerity to ask to leave the EU.
Any British government with a spine would have told Barnier, Juncker and Tusk to stuff themselves. Theresa May just took it all.
Now, she proposes a “withdrawal” treaty which will bind us to all EU laws, but without any influence, and she seems to think the EU will negotiate in “good faith” to release us! What is this mad woman smoking?
In the great tradition of Newspeak, the “withdrawal” treaty is a blueprint for a perpetual status as an EU economic colony. No self respecting sovereign state would entertain this travesty for a second. The fact that Theresa May and her cabinet of eunuchs, gimps and B’stards is actually proposing this heap of horseshit to Parliament just proves what a total liability she is.
The Conservative Party had better get rid of Theresa May and her dreadful “deal”, or the country will get rid of the Conservative Party.
I wouldn’t miss them.

Excellent – the Spanish prime minister is going to “defend democracy” because ‘VOX’ got more votes than anyone expected .

I suspect Vox got more votes than expected cos journalism unions say that you must not give positive coverage of things someone labels “Far-Right”
I read the Times on Saturday “Vox.. is expected to seize up to five seats in the Andalusian regional parliament election tomorrow.” then I stopped reading on the grounds that the report was speculation NOT news, so I shouldn’t waste my time on it.
and all I need to do was WAIT for the the actual result .
Look at the difference between the Times prediction of i up to 5 seat, vs the actual result of 12 won
And these are media people that say they have the right to decide what is “fake news” and ban it from Facebook

A friend of mine works for a Government department in London. He has a senior position. But he can’t amend the requirement for their ‘Christmas Party’ to be called a ‘Winter Party’.
There are many ethnics in the organisation, and strangely enough they don’t care if it’s called a ‘Christmas Party’.

As big bits of the world drag themselves out of poverty and living like westerners they’ll be burning carbon like it’s just been invented – so on the Attenborough model we re all doomed anyway .
He goes on about unrest – maybe he should look at some of those videos of Paris to see what the effect of some idiot falling for the climate change lie and putting up energy taxes .

Thirty years ago I attended a packed meeting in Wellington, where I heard Teddy Goldsmith tell us us quite confidently and authoritatively that capitalism was going to collapse within ten years. Probably sooner. Fifteen years at the utmost. Yes, well, I think we have given that prophecy enough leeway. I might has well have listened to Chicken Little.
Doomsayers like to sprinkle their prophecies with specific dates, it lends their rantings an air of authenticity they otherwise seem to lack. Best of all is if you can quote a definite date in the future when you won’t be around to take the flak if (when) it doesn’t come true, which is easier to do if you’re of a certain vintage and unlikely to be here much longer.
Anyway, I’d be much more open minded about the whole thing, if it hadn’t been hijacked and converted into some kind of crazy, millennial/apocalyptic religion. Far from convincing me the ‘deniers’ are definitely wrong, the BBC banning them from ‘debates’ sounds suspiciously like they are on shaky ground, and know it, to me.
We need to deal with pollution better, I think they’re right about that, but the biggest problem (by far) is global population (and global attitudes to consumerism/waste disposal), and the elephants in the room there are not the UK (which is actually pretty good on both birth rate and safe/ethical waste disposal). To me this ‘climate change’ obsession is a red herring, and distracting from the real environmental issues of today – if St. David actually tackled those head on, challenging Africa, Pakistan, and Indonesia to deal with their incontinent birth rates, and China, India, Africa, and Indonesia
to sort their waste disposal problems, I’d have a lot more respect for the man. Instead he picks on an easy target, the hand wringing, self loathing, guilt laden, white, ‘educated’ Europeans.

I came across reference to the following website. Interestingly, the link was restricted through my Sky broadband shield settings.
Some of it makes interesting reading and goes some way to making sense of what is going on around us. I’m not so sure about conspiracy theories but the new world order stuff does make me wonder. I’m not really religious either, so I could suspect ulterior motives with some of the bible references.
However, I’m open minded and still found this interesting….
“The Media as Gatekeepers
It’s important to understand another propaganda function of the media. Gatekeepers are those who mediate the flow of messages in the news media, small groups, and organizational networks. Gatekeeping occurs at all levels of the media structure – from a reporter deciding which sources are chosen to include in a story to editors deciding which stories are printed or covered, and includes media outlet owners and even advertisers. If you believe you are getting the truth from the news media, including the alternative media, consider this…
What’s important is not always WHAT is reported, but more often WHAT IS NOT reported. You may be getting little bites of truth from time to time in the media, but more often there are huge chunks of truth being withheld from you.”

I don’t know why anyone refers to the BBC as news. It really is a disgustingly blatant bout of mind thought. No attempt to tell you what is going on in the world, just a daily massive dump of ‘approved’ thinking.
I never considered myself a conspiracy nut but the endless direction and suggestion of how to ‘enlighten’ your thinking is shocking.
It’s shocking but the worst thing is that it has no counter, no opposite voice to balance the field. At least in the US, they have Fox to offer an alternative. In the UK, there is just one thing on the menu.

Fedup, Jimmy Carr is a ‘comedian’ who has made a (very good) living out of saying offensive things about people on air whilst maintaining a straight face and claiming it’s ‘humour’.
To be honest, I’m amazed he’s managed to get this far without upsetting more PC apple carts, or in today’s parlance ‘triggering snowflakes’. I guess his particular brand of ‘genius’ is avoiding any ‘snowflake triggers’ and going for low hanging fruit, like ‘gammons’, ‘Brexiteers’, ‘Tories’, and now it seems ‘Jews’ too. Only, even some snowflakes aren’t entirely comfortable with Momentum style Jew bashing.
As regards Jews and noses, a lot of Jews do have big noses, I’m allowed to say that because I’m a bit of a Cyrano de Bergerac myself, although (as far as I’m aware) I have no Hebrew ancestry, so clearly the two aren’t necessarily linked.

Fedup – I feel like I might have given the wrong impression there, so, just to clarify, I am in NO way a fan of Mr Carr, or his ‘humour’.
Having cleared that up (hopefully), I can’t say I’ve watched him much (don’t have a BBC licence now anyway), but I’d be prepared to wager that a thorough search of Mr Carr’s back catalogue wouldn’t reveal a single ‘postbox’ joke, although Christians (of all denominations) are clearly considered ‘fair game’ as well as Jews.
It seems to be Monty Python season on Netflix, I’ve seen most of the films before, but am too young to be familiar with their TV series. The humour is very hit and miss, and now often dated, but at least it is sometimes funny (unlike most contemporary ‘comedy’).
I had noticed they weren’t shy about making ‘anti-Semitic’ jokes (and ‘racist’, ‘sexist’, ‘anti cis-gender’, ‘anti trans-gender’ etc…), but then they seem to have joked about everything and everyone, including themselves, and the followers of all religions, including those of the prophet – blessings be upon them. My overall impression is of a complete irreverence and desire to poke fun at everything, which seems harmless and indiscriminate to me.
To me the issue is not so much the making of odd jokes about particular groups (even ‘offensive’ ones, and even when I’m the target) as the way in which some groups are consistently discriminated in favour of, and others against… which strikes me as not just unequal and unfair, but potentially sinister too. When this kind of partisanship appears to have the staunch backing of not just our media (virtually all of it, not just the BBC), but our Government and educational institutions as well, I’d say it is worrying.

Sorry I can’t let your comment that a ‘lot of Jews do have big noses” go unchallenged because it is a complete myth made up by the Nazi regime in Germany to try and distinguish all Jews by their looks . It was in all propaganda films then and repeated throughout Europe. A stereotypical Jew is always portrayed with a long nose even today. This is an example of what happens when a myth is told again and again and why it is important to counter BBC lies before they become acccepted as truths.
The poem is definately anti Semitic as the Jews are decended from Aaron . In Singing in the Rain the rhyme is “Moses supposes his toeses are roses ” – a much more agreeable rhyme than the Anti semitic one just quoted. My mum grew up in South Africa, and was taught that the black people had smaller brains. British ingrained anti Semitism allows for these myths and insults to flourish .

Jesus, I saw part of a clip yesterday of TM on the TV talking about the ‘hard work’ that had gone into the ‘deal’.
What an absolute joke. Hard work? What hard work love?
The hard work of selling out your country, the hard work of caving to virtually every demand the EU made, the hard work of giving £39 billion of other peoples money because someone asked for it, the hard work of shackling the country into something that it will struggle to leave for years to come.
Give me a break. Our wonderful Brexit dream is doomed and we have a PM that should go down in history as the most treacherous leader that we’ve ever had. My contempt for her and her kind burns like the centre of the sun.

To be ‘offended’ all the time is annoying, unhealthy, and destroys free speech – without which there will be far more genuinely ‘offensive’ problems that are not dealt with. But to be offended on someone else’s behalf really is appalling. To then write a ‘news’ story about it? What a beauty, as Trump would say.

Thank you – unusually short – but invalid . The proper way to approach this would have been to examine the intention of those who drafted A50 in the first place .
Due to its brevity – and admission by one of the UK civil servants who drafted it ( interviewed last year if I remember ) there wasn’t much thought out into a withdrawal process because – after all – who would ever want to withdraw from the wonderful EU ?
I just hope that with less than 120 days to go it will be to late to do anything but leave without agreement of giving our cash to those monsters for nothing .

Laddish behaviour
BBC news this morning are keen to impress me with the fact that one of their Panorama reporters got in undercover to a secure immigration detention centre and managed to film G4S guards indulging in ‘laddish behaviour’.
BBC man Danny Shaw pops into the News Channel studio to present this BBC-sourced story and its updates. You’ll recall Danny Shaw as the journo named in the Cliff Richard court case who couldn’t seem to quite get his story straight with that given by his BBC colleague Dan Johnson. BBC lads, eh?
Anyway I’m going to make the obvious point that although the BBC can hire helicopters supposedly to expose a child exploitation case when they feel the need and can even slip a mole with a camera into a top security prison when it suits they never did manage to catch child grooming leading to organised rape happening on the streets of Rotherham, Rochdale etc etc etc. This despite the BBC’s apparent close links to the police – the South Yorkshire force in particular.
I suppose media organisations have their priorities.

I think you are right on the ‘airstrip one ‘ line – I’d say that we were that from 1941 to 1945 out of necessity with our gallant American brothers .

I think the EU would want England, Scotland and Wales to be classed as three different Regions – divide and rule. Unless Berlin found it more convenient to keep us together as the “General Government”.
Perhaps Dan Snow could make a BBC programme on the General Government so that we would know what to expect.

Listening to the select committee on bBC with the 3rd lad playing the role of EU Exit Minister supported by Olly Robbins.
have to say Olly sounded plausible …but how could he have ended up with this concoction designed by the EU to inflame the constitution of the UK by interfering in;
1) The Irish Border( and undermining the DUP)
2) Giving Sturgeon a platform to try for a second Scottish Independence vote
3) The elimination of any example where the EU would suffer every bit as much of the UK in the event of a poor deal let alone this appalling Withdrawal Agreement.
Olly, we pay for you same as the bBC —–we deserve better.
And if the WD is voted down any renegotiation must be lead or at least supported by the Brexit side of the debate.

Radio 3 this morning has the usual ‘BBC Dinner Party’ guest, (no ‘dangerous’ views there!), and the subject turns to the French who are patriotic to the core and regard their nation and heroes as top of the pile, (clearly a good thing).
Unlike the British..

Does being a Greek Cypriot exonerate him? I’m not sure of their position in the victimhood league table… 🙁

This house believes the left is losing it way was the motion before the Cambridge Union last week.
It’s fairly tedious, but there was a magic moment when a far left speaker was challenged from the floor re Labour anti-Semitism and won considerable applause in this debate between the left and the far left.

Daily Politics, bBBC2.
It seems that Jo Coburn is particularly keen to make sure that the guests don’t talk over the top of each other. Unless of course you’re Angela Eagle (Remain) toeing the bBBC party line on the rise of the “far-right” in Europe and talking over Suzanne Evans (Leave), then it seems you’re given the right to reply to a point you stopped from being made in the first place.
And Johnny Mercer, I know it’s hard to criticise someone who’s served three Afghan tours, but, that’s as a soldier. As a politician, what a complete wet. Any politician who remains undecided as to how he will vote next week, and apparently appeals for help from the bBBC to make this decision, should find a career better suited to him and better for the 70% of the voters he represents in parliament who voted to Leave. Judging by his regular forays into the media world, I think he already has one in mind.

The far left describe anyone who does t agree with them as far right . Imagine if there was really a ‘ far right ‘ ( one for the state monitoring file )
As for decent people who become politicians -that building -Westminster – just corrupts them with dumb traditions and rules . If you go in there you can feel it .
They all take on a role and forget about us . That’s why they all want to be peers – no tedious voters to worry about ( see lord Haigs latest nonsense )

Anyone else think the Attorney was as clear as he could ever be about the advice he gave to Ministers?
Anyone listening to that with enough sense to be able to vote would have put 2 and 2………….and converted it to….”sign this and go straight to jail….do not collect 200 quid but prepare to hand over £39 squillions”and no parole.
The bBC too busy getting a stiffy when hearing about holding the Govt in contempt……..to report it honestly.

Probably too much to hope that Treesa dips in on this site, but here’s a question worth pondering.
Since it seems painfully apparent that the EU commission is set on a ritualised program of UK humiliation – pour encourager les autres – and that she is fully prepared to accept this on our behalf, is she not deeply depressed by the knowledge that we have no support from others within the 27?
This sad reality should force her to one of two conclusions:
One. The principal EU countries – primarily Germany with France desperate to keep up the illusion of parity – have so cowed the satellite nations that they dare not express or exhibit any support whatsoever for our position.
Two. All 27 member countries of the EU so dislike and despise both the UK and its relationship with the EU, despite our massive contribution to the benefits they enjoy, that they are happy to sit back and watch what they evidently hope to be our disintegration, decline and fall from the grace.
Either option begs the question, what possible reason or benefit might there be in wanting to remain a member of such a flawed, spiteful and juvenile organisation?

I think it worth adding that, while it would be a result if Treesa were to publicly pose the questions above, the conclusions are equally pertinent to remainers as much as leavers.

Excellent . BBC reporting that a copper who a criminal off a moped could get charged with assault .
I’m assuming that’s the end of that tactic and the cops will return to letter robbers go free .
I’d object if they reversed their cars over them once bought down -but not that much .
I suppose cops get points on their licence and have to tell their own insurance company …?

R2 Jeremy Vile show
opened with a 30 min advert for the socialists at the Joseph Rowntree doing poverty porn.
… They’ll never admit that many people feel that they can’t make ends meet, but have too many children and extravagant spending like Sky TV , lavish birthdays, lots of pets etc.
Then it was a series of Labour Unionists talking about when Lucas Aerospace was closed.

It’s so tiresome that
: the socialist side shout “Tory cuts” even tho incomes are higher than ever
: the gov side never admits that rents are massive compared to the past.
So it can make a huge difference to a family if they have support from their own parents.
Gordon Brown had the opportunity to stop the house price boom , but didn’t and the Tories followed on the same.
Thus Rowntree shout and gov just contadict them
.. Their is never proper detailed debate
..eg one NGO claimed women were being drawn into prostitution yet their example woman had only ever earned £60 from it, and just used that to buy petrol to travel to the NGO’s cafe.
YP just repeats Rowntrees grand claims ‘a third of kids’ are in poverty, 14 million people are in poverty.
There are only ever two people hanging around the supermarket for 90% off veg time : me and the local church warden, not a queue of one parent families.

Stew,
Here’s a simple example of similar Rowntree-based nonsense.
The Social Fund, a DWP loans and grant scheme supposed to help the most needy on benefits provide themselves with the basics in times of need, once had a Commissioner who believed that , and this was about 15 years, £250 was an appropriate amount to give someone, through a grant to set them up in a new home and because their child had asthma, to buy themselves a new hoover. A directive is then issued to the people processing the grant applications to make sure that when you get given a flat where if in real poverty a brush would have to do, our Govt. will make sure you get a Dyson. And the money is given to you to spend where you like because making it out to an electrical shop for the item you are given the award for would violate your “right of choice” and affect your “self esteem”. And when it breaks after a year because you bought a second-hand item down the pub, which could be a hoover, a cooker, a deep fat fryer, or a fridge, that God forbid might start a fire in the flats you live in, they’ll give you the same money again to replace it.
Needless to say the Rowntree Foundation provided much of the guidance heeded by Govt. on such widespread largesse and wastage and are still driving the false sense of entitlement that they helped create and that so many expect today.

I think the Roundtree Foundation has in the pasted funded worthy cause like CAGE – who seemed to think that Mohammed Emwazi (Jihadi John) was such a beautiful young man. I expect James Foley would have begged to differ.

The first two callers got in some nice digs at ‘celebrities’ and ‘millionaires that play records’!
‘Single-parent’ poverty is the result of the BBC pigeons coming home to roost.
1. Trash the idea of women being full-time mothers, they all must have ‘careers’.
2. Trash the idea of being faithful to a spouse.
3. Trash the idea of marriage between man and woman.
4. Trash men in general. If they are worthless why should they take on responsibility for wife and children?
The BBC’s answer? Subsidised housing, more immigrants to build more houses, higher minimum wages to attract more immigrants, higher benefits to attract more immigrants.
How about stressing responsibilities rather than bleating about ‘rights’?

Jim – you have to pay the market rate in order to get high calibre people who can speak into a microphone and put records on . Lots of skill needed . I guess mr vine is employed by his own production company and pays himself with dividends to avoid income tax. Legal but not moral for a public servant paid by the public .

@Fedup commented on Moped cop COULD be charged.
\\ A Met Police officer who knocked a teenager off his moped in a “tactical contact” manoeuvre has been put under criminal investigation. //
em The 17 yr old youth pleaded guilty to five charges !
\\ The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was admitted to hospital with serious head injuries but later discharged.//
It would be routine to check if the manoeuvre was proportionate.
Bottomline the moped was already putting the public in danger.
He was in charge of a loaded weapon (the moped)
… if someone has drawn a gun the police are allowed to shoot first. So what’s the difference ?

Yes ,SG, both Evans AND Farage have fallen for the Establishment diversionary tactics-we’re on the Titanic and they’ve been diverted to worry about the position of the deck chairs.
Whilst I’m on , isn’t it rich that the French can get what they want by rioting -presumably the UK would have to replenish the coffers to compensate for the money Macron won’t now have in penal taxes??

Losing Evans is no loss. She’s a self absorbed individual happy to tear UKIP apart if it furthers her ends.
She forgets that the media aren’t interviewing UKIP and are freezing them out of the debate. Batten pulled a Trump and realised that he had to play the TR joker to actually get him on the airwaves to have 3 mins to bang on about Brexit.
Staggering that Evans could be so naive to the game Batten is having to play.
