4th Day of Christmas Thread

As 2018 comes to a sudden end the Far Left  BBC goes into full revision of the year to suit its’ biased view .

I think the falling Christmas figures will give just another small push towards subscription funding to finally kill the poisonous creature off .

Over the last few months, additional ferry contracts were awarded to French, Danish and British companies.
The contingency plans allow for almost 4,000 more lorries a week to come and go from other ports, including Plymouth, Poole, and Portsmouth.”

The illegal immigrants in the English Channel saga is obviously of concern to May as she has deployed the Home Sec and declared it a Major Incident.

    Why?

I suggest that the saga is further hardening public attitudes towards illegal immigration, and at a time when Brexit and her career are in the balance.

Nothing will be done, by the way. We know that.

China will not make the same mistake … Dictator ideology faces dictator ideology … one will win.

According to the South China Morning Post, city education officials ordered the Pingliang Arabic School in China’s northwestern province of Gansu to close by December 17th. Claims by the authorities that the school does not have operating permits appear dubious since the school has been in business since 1984.

The closure of the 34-year-old Arabic language school, a charity institution catering to underprivileged students, seems to indicate that some of the draconian anti-Muslim security measures adopted in the heavily Muslim Xinjiang Autonomous Region of western China are now being applied to other Muslim-populated border areas of the country.

Then the HRA and common law contamination from EU decisions can be put right. As well as pulling up the draw bridge .
As an aside the Spanish PM has said there will be reciprocal rights for British passport holders living in Spain if we agree the same . So bi lateral agreements can be made . I don’t know if the BBC has reported this – some how they wouldn’t see the welfare of 600 000 ( white ) british in Spain as important .

Especially debt that will have to be paid off by grandchildren and future great-grandchildren.

A great deal of that debt has come from …..

… yes, you guessed correctly …….

…. the time of our membership of, and trading with, the EU.

“EU exports far more to us than we do to the EU.”
        @Taffman’s statement is true
It is cherrypicking when you start talking about EU percentages , cos of course in general countries trade more with the countries right next to them, the further way an EU country is from the UK the smaller our trade with them . So if you take the nearest countries the effect to them is much more than 7%,
If you moved further back and added in countries say Ukraine, Morocco , Ukraine etc. then you could drag that percentage down even further.

People here on this blog often stereotype the attitude of BBC management
Does their choice of prog , that is on Radio4 now confirm this ?
\\ This series charts the story of how a young Christian couple came to entrust the care of their little daughter to a Muslim family that lived nearby in 1990s Watford.
They were strangers but the couple – Peris Mbuthia and Martin Gitonga – needed help, as immigrants from Kenya working in low paid jobs with a child to support and no family to step in.
They were struggling and their relationship was under strain. Early one morning, Martin left his flat with six month old Sandra zipped inside his jacket and handed her over to the Zafars across the road while he went to work at a warehouse. //
    … yep it does
…A black African couple, living across the road from Muslim couple is so BBC.
That ticks so many of their boxes.

The narrator has a strange Canadian accent
ah they played a trick cos at the end we found the narrator was the girl Sandra who was the baby at the beginning.
Hr father had been in Britain on some kind of Bible study visa, so after 8 years his extension was refused and the family returned to Kenya
.. Then they migrated to the US and finally Canada where they live.
      Link for that story.
One sad thing at the end was the elder daughter of the Muslim family was complaining as she felt she had at 18 had this baby sitter role foisted on her .. then after 5 years the child had gone off to Kenya so she felt she needed her own baby and had ended up getting married and having a baby too quickly having never had any years of freedom.

Context : Islam is an ideological club, just as the Tory party is
So you should be able to substitute the word Islamic Faith for “Tory party” in Sturgeon’s tweet, and it be OK and not need to report it as a “hate incident”.
Let’s look at Sturgeon’s tweet. Does it look like it is hatey ?

            Police Scotland website
            http://www.scotland.police.uk/keep-safe/advice-for-victims-of-crime/hate-crime/what-is-hate-crime/

A hate incident is any incident that is not a criminal offence,
but something which is perceived by the victim or *any other person*
to be *motivated by hate or prejudice*.

NS’s motivation for her tweet is that she is prejudiced against & hates Tories.
But the police call handler puts him on hold, checks with a colleague
and comes back with “She was just expressing an opinion, so we wouldn’t be able to take it forward”
“We would need to come to speak to you ”
He Goodfella replies “So the police are telling us to report Hate when we see it , and that we can report this anonymously, obviously it won’t be anonymous if you have to come around to speak to me about it”
Call handler “There is nothing in that tweet that we would take as a HATE crime”
.. that is true cos he is calling under the definition of “Hate Incident” she’s moved the goal posts to talk about “Hate Crime”

I am surprised no one has done a blog about this

Double, they probably think and say exactly the same about us, … er … me.

To be fair, it was an Op Ed from an independent, not a staffer.

However, the Guardian (staffers) have been at various times virulently ‘anti-car’ and would, no doubt, support high parking charges, taxes and extra taxes on road fuels, CO2 charges on vehicles, NOx charges on vehicles, expensive safety checks, compulsory insurance, taxes on insurance, pedestrian precints, car exclusions, high Business Rates* and would also be tacitly in favour of, if not actually supporting vocally, high public transport costs due to strangled competition and lack of alternatives.

Unless, of course you are a well-heeled Guardian staffer or reader, used to summoning taxis at a click of the iPhone. I have this to say to you, dear Guardian. You may wish to buck the market. Many have tried. Perhaps most notable among them was a famous female, Conservative, Prime Minister. She failed.

In your desire to ‘save the High Street’ you will also fail unless you abandon the policies and taxes and restrictions you hold so dear.

        You cannot buck the market.

(* Dear Guardian, please remember that the current high Business Rates and Council Tax are a Labour-approved and acceptable tax that was foisted on a Conservative government who tried – albeit clumsilly and fecklessly – to introduce a much lower cost alternative.)

HMV? Records/CDs? I don’t understand this addiction to collecting things for the sake of it. It seems to be a male thing – can I still say that in 2018/9?

We have a relative who has started collecting vinyl. It seems to be the cool thing to do. He heard that it sounds better than digital, any digital, so he bought what seems to me to be a ridiculously expensive turntable and, this is the best part, hooked it up with some difficulty to a very ordinary stereo system from John Lewis. Seems to me a bit like buying a Leica lens and attaching it to a Kodak Instamatic camera (if such a thing were possible).

My other (more technical) half upset him by pointing out that the master recordings of his rapidly expanding vinyl collection were almost certainly digital in the first place.

He should use the turntable for making pottery (you should see the thing – it’s big enough). He’d get more satisfaction out of it in the long run.

I have attached the link to the article but briefly what it says is that the left have imposed a ‘group think’ regime on scientific research where results that don’t fit the ideology are not only rejected but also vehemently attacked at all levels.

It explains why the BBC will not allow anyone to question Climate Change

Oh dear! I made the mistake of listening to Radio Four’s Sunday programme this morning. A special edition on immigration and religion. I suppose it did inspire me with religious sentiment. I am now looking forward to dies irae – the day of wrath – when the wicked (BBC Religion and Ethics Commissioners) are confounded and doomed to flames of woe.

Where to start? Item after item from the progressive standpoint. Aside after aside affirming left-wing myths. Somebody said something to the effect that there is a solidarity between all the ethnic groups in Birmingham. Really?

There was a story of a church in Stoke losing all but three of its white English members when the vicar, the Rev Sally Smith, decided to transform her church into a kind of refugee centre. We could have done with an interview with one of the people who had left the church. Wouldn’t that have been good reporting? No, we got nothing except the implication that they were all old racists who were going to die soon anyway.

A Hindu couple who voted leave and were against current levels of immigration because it was destroying the Christian character of this country were treated with incredulity.

Some professor put forward the view that immigration is beneficial for Christianity. The number of people describing themselves as Christian has declined in areas where there has been little immigration but in high-immigration London the number has slightly increased. Ergo, he implied, immigration is a good thing for the traditional religion of these islands. Have you ever heard such duplicity? The weasel words of the progressive left find no better outlet than the religious programmes of the BBC.

There was one female voice – it might have been the Rev Sally Smith, I can’t remember – who put forward her view that we must have compassion, citing Jesus as her inspiration. It is a mistake to stress one virtue at the expense of all other considerations. I notice more women than men doing this but it’s common amongst all well-meaning, left-leaning, wishy-washy religious types. They seem to believe that all they need to negotiate the complexities of life is a monocular emotional attitude – often of compassion or love but never the cardinal virtue of prudence. These types also seem to regard Jesus as some kind of Liberal Democrat activist. But Jesus was not into politics. The only thing he ever said about politics was that you should pay your taxes. His whole message – lefties never appreciate this – was about man’s relation to God. It was not about tax policies to redistribute wealth. It was not about immigration policies or nuclear disarmament policies or any of the other causes onto which they seek to co-opt the Son of Man.

Christianity in this country is gradually being eroded away in leaps and bounds. The influx of mainly muslim migrants who then prolifically breed to ensure the continuation of their religion, is the main death knell for the eradication of Christianity.

I also believe that once the Queen dies, and Charles becomes King it will be another nail in the coffin. He has said on many occasions that he wants to be the head of Faiths rather than ‘faith”, so the stranglehold of other religions will be almost complete. By the time Prince William, and certainly Prince George (if there is still a monarchy) takes the throne, Christianity will most certainly be a minority faith, and thankfully I will no longer be around to witness.

      Excellent post, Z.

It is true that the Christian church (in London and some other areas has benefitted) but I can also think of where it has also caused problems. I think of a group in West Hampstead – about twenty years ago – where there was a scandal over a variety of things, not just Prosperity Gospel preaching & exploitation.

No doubt those in favour of widespread inward migration will point out that the indigenous (mostly ‘white’) Christian church has always been subject to wrong-doing and everyone on here is probably familiar with the usual BBC Sunday Programme litany of same, or – more correctly – litany of shame.

However, knowingly and deliberately supporting illegal activity – the trafficking of people – is going against what Christians have been speaking out against in the UK and campaigning against for over 250 years.

Christians (and Jews) will always be a ‘soft touch’ for help in times of trouble. Government and the Alt-Left/Right cannot look the other way on one illegality and then not just expect the church to step in to mend their broken pieces but also to then prosecute that same Christian church for its own wrongdoings.

That is not how the Law works.

Or should work, in a decent, civilised society.

“Britain is soft!” says an Iranian journalist , who is writing a book called ‘Game’, on the small-boat Channel crossings by Iranians and others. Paddy O Connel asked her why, when there is the whole of Europe to apply for asylum, the boat people want to come to Britain.
His programme on R4 is usually leftish, so today you can also listen to an anti-Trump song.
But today his Iranian guests reveal that the asylum process is easiest in Britain. Nothing about speaking English or visiting relatives. You don’t even need an identity card, when you’re in.
Britain is soft! When all the analysis is over, in our heart of hearts, this is the reason we’ve all known, applies. Underneath all the twaddle about Sadij cutting short his holiday, Gold commanders and cutter shortages, ‘migrants’ know they can expect rescue, kindness and that they won’t be sent back.
Maybe they also noticed who it was mostly lived in the Grenfell Towers of this world and concluded that Britain was the natural immigration centre for everyone from anywhere. Sorry to have to refer to this tragedy to make this point -about what message goes out on our TV channels, but that conclusion seems inevitable.

Yes I heard that she said immigrants preferred claiming asylum in UK as we are soft and it didn’t bother them that the public wouldn’t be happy about it. We are absolute mugs in this country and people just complain and roll over.

“Italy budget: Parliament passes budget after EU standoff”

Italy reduces budget after EU pressure. Because Italy is a fascist state, it must be punished.

The BBC missed an opportunity here, to compare and contrast.

    2018-12-26 Reuters
“European Union will accept France running a budget deficit higher than the EU’s 3 percent ceiling next year,
as long as it is a one-off event, EU Budget Commissioner Guether Oettinger said on Thursday.
France said last week that its headline deficit could grow to 3.2 percent of output next year from 2.8 percent initially planned.”

Here’s one for the conspiracy theorists who follow US politics and monitor the MSM’s anti-Trump Swamp agenda.
If, anyway in the slightest bit correct, there’s a serious political upheaval heading toward the US and in particular, the “Swamp” / Globalist/NWO / “Deep State”.
