No… why would they need evidence when they can lie and make stuff up?

GW,
Different times of day. Look at the Sun shining. It was quite dark and overcast first thing in the morning. I guess this is when the BBC camera people are out: when the group is forming.
It looks like Mastermind has gone to the dogs. Its thought the BBC has ended the merit based selection process which only last year produced an average of 2.5 white males and 1.5 white women per episode, plus one or two ethnics per series.
The changes are thought to be a 50/50 gender balance and one ethnic per episode with other quotas of disabled and other genders. This eliminates the merit based three white men per episode problem. But because the ethnics are not divided by a gender quota, all the ethnics up to now have been male. This has reduced the average white male per episode to one. Also because the BBC has had to employ researchers to search out people for the quotas, especially the ethnics, costs have gone up.
The good news is that although it has become three times harder for white males to get on to Mastermind with the new rules, its now easier for those who get on, to win. Also if a white male comes third or last, its probably because he was on the disabled, gay or other gender quota. Its not thought that attempts to handicap candidates by manipulating the questions has yet succeeded. But it does look as if a 50/50 gender balance for the ethnics will be necessary for the next series, as well as introducing quotas of Afro-Caribbean’s, because all the ethnics this year have been Asian.

I gave up on it when I realised that questions are also biased in the General Knowledge bit . When I watched it the whitee chap often seemed to get ‘ killer ‘ questions whereas the girls gets nice girly questions. Gave up as it got tedious .
Speaking of persons of brain cell, the bbc should set up a breeding block for Sarah Walton and Gary to crank out the next generation of deep thinkers to carry the Corporation into the next decade.
"Look at the House of Commons and its massive percentage of white, middle-aged men. In our media, too. Football is such a beautiful cross-section of ethnic groups: it is absolutely a meritocracy." Gary Lineker interview. Pictures @BradleyOrmesherhttps://t.co/se6jp6NUQ7
I’m trying to find some confirmation of this in English (I can’t read Danish)- A Danish newspaper has reported that Denmark is asking for a hard border with Sweden due to immigrant crime.
Google translate is not too bad, though I’ve never tried Danish to English. You can just copy the article and paste it in the block on the left. The translation will come up automatically on the right.
I’d have thought they could have worked a little bit harder and tried to find out who actually buys the stuff!
I have a great fake watch which I bought from a charity shop. It cost me £4.00, and every watchwanker thinks I ‘know my stuff’! I use it at Christmas (because it is red), and for gardening, as compost has some nasty poop in it sometimes, often from our little dog.
The new battery on Ebay cost even more, but then I did buy a dozen for all the other bling that seventy-year-olds usually buy, you know, Anusol tablets, nose-pads, ear-hoovers etc..;0)
Your misleading summary of the clip makes his point for him. He didn't say "things I wanted to talk about." After 12 minutes of the interview he asked if there was "any chance of talking about the homeless, the poverty, the hospital waiting lists…" .@UKLabour .@jeremycorbyn
“Refugee boy stars in Oscar-nominated film – BBC News”
In their blurb, they are keen to point out that “Zain was born in Syria and spent his childhood in the slums of Beirut.”
Woth no mention that Beiruit used to be known as teh Paris of teh Middle east… when in 1920 it was 15% Muslim (85% Christian)… then they let the Muslims in.
By 1975 through immigration and breeding the population increased to over 50% Muslim and war broke out for Islam to gain control.
The war lasted 15 years… Lebanon is now a Muslim country, so now Lebonon is an Islamic hellhole with plenty of Islamic slums… which is no surprise since even according to the Islamic site “MEND” Muslims only contribute 31bn to the UK economy, so the average Muslim is “contributing” 7,700 pounds per year, But the GDP per capita in the UK (the average contribution per person) is about 30,000 pounds.
So on Average it takes four Muslims to be as productive as an average Brit, for Muslims to be so unproductive is a huge drain on society, and everyone else has to pay for this in tac for an array of benefits… this is why we now have Islamic slums in the UK.
jip, “Woth no mention that Beiruit used to be known as teh Paris of teh Middle east… when in 1920 it was 15% Muslim (85% Christian)… then they let the Muslims in.”
That’s right.
Don’t forget the Jewish Community in Lebanon back then. In a business I worked for, for some years in London, I was allocated a temporary, short-term assistant. In the way you do at work, I got to know that he was from Lebanon and of a Christian background. One day he sneezed and as an automatic reflex I said ‘Gezundheit’.
He responded because he was not only fluent in Arabic and English and another language or two (French, I think, maybe Italian) but also Yiddish. Apparently there were large Jewish and Christian communities jumbled together in the part of Lebanon (Beirut suburbs) in which he grew up.
It was a real tragedy what happened to Lebanon. John Simpson has been able to take his family on a BBC ‘jolly’ there, I gathered from TOADY this morning.
BBC problematic old white man en route to comfy retirement highlights the sorry trend to using kids (Greta says boo, Sen. Feinstein) and, if caught using other ‘techniques’, evolving the story.

Thanks for posting that – pure chapter and verse of BBC bias published in a national newspaper and not just here . I don’t buy news so couldn’t get past the Telegraph firewall so thank again .
Maybe the BBC could have an hour each week devoted to rectifying stories which have been concocted and published without challenge . Or maybe more than an hour ….?
I was hoping this or kindred web sites might get a mention in the Booker column as more people need to know what the BBC is doing with their money
Incidentally the BBC news is trumpeting spending £32 000 000 of people’s money on a ‘new’ BBC mc Scotland radio aimed at ‘ the young ‘ . That’s on top of the foreign language Alba one . They get well served for BBC services do the Scots . Feel bit sorry for them .
The BBC News website story has changed to include:
…’Mr Sweeney is heard saying “one of my political heroes is the former head of the IRA Martin McGuinness.”
Mr McGuinness, who, as a prominent Sinn Fein politician, became Northern Ireland’s deputy first minister, had acknowledged he was a member of the IRA. He died in 2017.’…
I’m sure this admission wasn’t included in the BBC story when I read it through earlier this afternoon. I guess this will be the archived version. It will have disappeared from the Home page anytime soon. Sweeney is being protected by his friends at the BBC.
I watched the first half hour on the Going Postal site on the top of its Panodrama post. However all I learned was John Sweeney loosens tongues by getting people drunk, he has expensive tastes himself on licence payers money and his political idol is Martin McGuiness.
Funny, I heard yesterday that in a poll 80% of Conservative activists voted that there should be no delay in Brexit. This was, ludicrously, stated to be support for Theresa May’s plan. Obviously, pollsters did NOT ask the question “did they support the plan” so I would think the vast majority of those votes were for a “no Deal” Brexit and the comment was Remainer “spin”. Strangely, I can find no reference to this poll anywhere, not just the BBC. Anyone have a link?
Popeye
Surprising that uncritical reliance is placed on polls which have shown so often that people don’t always say what they really believe – particularly if their real opinion is rubbished by the public media all the time .
Here is the full motion from the National Conservative Convention this morning where grassroots members voted against a delay to Brexit and against no deal coming off the table pic.twitter.com/xxoA7aMiGc

”
But Tory association chairs on the National Conservative Convention piled pressure on any MPs thinking of backing the amendment in a motion passed by 72 to 15 at a meeting on Saturday.
The motion stated: “The National Convention supports the commitments the Prime Minister has made to the country to honour the European Union referendum result of 2016, that having triggered Article 50 we will leave the European Union on the 29 March 2019.
I see that the Emir of Londonistan intends to have the police destroy their database on criminal gangs because to hold it, is ‘racist’. Seems it more that highlights the black crime problem . This is also happening in the US.
I have just received a booklet from Prostate Cancer UK, early pages into it I find:
“You may be more likely to get prostate cancer if:
You are aged 50 or over, or
your father or brother has had it, or
you are black”
On current PC trends, that’s pure damn racist. Where and how do I complain? Any suggestiions?
Should I ring the police because I am offended?
Yesterday was a huge day for sports fans. On Five Live Sport Extra they opted to cover the women’s league cup final: a pulsating 0-0 draw after 120 minutes of play.
I wonder how many in the entire country listened outside of the friends and family of the competitors? A few hundred? And those who did listen surely must have vowed to never listen ever again.
According to wiki, the attendance was 2,424, the majority of whom I’m sure we’re local schoolkids at a £1 a time. To be fair it does seem ridiculous to have a match between a London club and a Manchester club in Sheffield but it happens in the men’s game and this was a national final between two professional clubs in a sport deemed significant enough to merit it’s own weekly highlights programme, designated webpage and in-depth multimedia coverage. By the bBBC that is of course.
This is roughly the same number of supporters that go to Macclesfield Town home games each week, a club of course close to Man Utd and Man City. It’s about a quarter of the number who attend Lincoln City games. Both teams play in League 2 which the bBBC offers no real coverage of at all.
Interestingly the Championship and League 1 are the 3rd and 9th highest attended leagues in Europe. If only the bBBC have them as much coverage as they do the women’s game.
Murdoch may not be a saint but he knows what people want: he would never have women’s football on prime time as he knows nobody will pay for it. Instead of letting the invisible hand of the market decide the Beeboids see themselves as noble philosopher kings who tell us what we should desire rather than give us what we actually want.
Coverage of lower divisions would be immeasurably more popular and entertaining. The BBC are trying to solve a problem that does not exist, thereby creating a real one. So what if women do not like football as much as men or play it as well? Women dress better than men and are much nicer to live with than men. SO WHAT?
Remember sarah Wollaston who said she was a leaver to get elected then changed her mind to become a rabid remainer once safely elected.
She’s got form.
In 2012, slippery Sarah Wollaston who recently resigned from the Conservative Party but refuses to hold a by-election supported a bill to introduce mandatory by-elections for MPs who decided to change parties…
Not BBC though I’m surprised this piece hasn’t been reported by them as they love to support the police and those whose advice makes us all safe tucked up in our beds at night. Its about going to bed. No filth, just madness.
Check out this latest bit of Trans-perversion advice to UK Police:
“Your Sexuality is who you go to bed with. Your Gender Identity is who you go to bed as.”
We even have a chart on what trans-state one looks like in pretty pictures:
So what do you think? Are you a Barbie or a GI Joe?
Momentous moves within the Labour party with Jeremy and by inference Momentum under increasing pressure. The party is being driven by extremists and anti-semites! We want the old New Labour party back! Seven remainer MPs leave followed by a leaver, leaving. Shock horror!
Oh dear, oh dear, what can be done, how can the BBC help redress the balance? Obviously the voting public are worried. Who can they believe? The problem seems confined to Labour and is unsolveable, thanks to current leadership, front bench and entrenched prejudice.
Simple answer: say the Tories have the same problems. The party has been taken over by extremists, the far right ERG are undermining the PMs authority, MPs are in revolt, the party will implode.
Except that it isn’t. The vast majority of Tory MPs, just like Labour MPs, are ditheringly uncertain and whatever the opinions and actions of splinter groups – much as we might wish otherwise – they will have no direct effect on policy.
Sadly for the BBC all the wanker bankers and vile tory big-business are remainers, only the ERG and a few other like minds are truly opposed to the ‘deal’ – but at least, backed by the powerful political giant that is Anna Soubry, the BBC can inflate the Tory problems and try to convince the public of equally giant schisms. And take the pressure off Jeremy. Easy when you know how, and you’re in a position to influence the public.
I find my self using the word “ ironic” here too much but to think that a Jewish leader of the Labour Party changed the rules so that a monster like Corbyn could get power is…. ironic .
But on the upside the hope that Corbyn woukd destroy the Labour Party might come to pass but not in the way people like me said at the time .
I’m not Jewish nor labour . But I can’t understand why so many labourites are so hostile to Jewish people . Is it ‘ Palestinian as underdog ‘ or something else .
Any one can see that the shabby Shabi whitewash was just that and any integrity she might have claimed went into the House of Lords toilet with her .
Mcdonell – the true evil behind the throne – May have to surface soon.
Thinking on, I’m sure poor Ed, having fallen for the attraction of McClusky’s new order and knifed his brother must have wanted his dad and Eric to be proud of him, promoting a pair of Marxist mercenaries to carry on the great work.
As usual with minor players, a distain for history and in Ed’s case the failure to recognise the significance of the links to anti-Semitic islam, cost him, and his party.
Is it possible that Brexit has uncovered many of the infiltrators into our political system, in both the Labour and Conservative parties? I don’t think it’s beyond possibility that secret plans were made by the EU thugs to do this, after all they’ve had over 40 years to do these things.
The same thoughts occur to me regarding the far-left bbc collective.
If YOU sign this petition today, it could help destroy May’s future defence giveaway in the exit deal. 10k signatures would force answers on the giveaway’s legal lynchpin — the costly fraud known as the EU Defence Directive.https://t.co/5JE88BZgtf
It says it all!! ” WELCOME TO THE BBC WEBSITE”
The leading feature? A women’s rugby match. Gary Lineker
your days are numbered. Welcome to Match of the Day.
It features the top of the table ladies netball match and
the 100 meters for LGBT runners with weak bladders. The winner
is the one that gets to the toilets first! That’s diversity for you.
The BBC reports that Pope Francis has said that child sex abuse is “a widespread phenomenon in all cultures and societies”. No. You can’t spread the blame like that. What happens is that paedophiles are attracted to occupations in which there is plenty of access to children. You know, jobs like priests or BBC TV presenters.
News bulletin on radio 2 said a terrorist had been arrested and a I just knew he would be a ‘right winger.’ I bet he once drove on the right side of the road when on holiday.
Even if you wanted to be ‘far right’ there are no legal groups you can even join. For the ROPers as well as their places of worship there must be all manner of organsations promoting ‘diversity’ receiving government funding which are really devoted to smiting filthy infidels; you could probably do it quite openly safe in the knowledge authorities are social petrified of having called racist they will turn a blind eye. The Manchester bomber flew the Isis flag and more but people were too terrified to raise the alarm. Fly the Nazi flag (the Nazi regime fell over 70 years ago) and you would be put in prison quickly.
Pug
And once “ degrees “ are introduced the devil gets in . I’m very old school Mair should have hanged – as should any murderer – of any age . The ISIS should had a visit from a drone together with the rest of the supporters . For them mercy is weakness inshala .
Many blacked up faces at a parade : definitely not racist we are told…presumably just a lack of the genuine article in those days.
Women shown leaving a factory all wore a shawl-like head covering : just like muslims today we are told…so, not to worry because it used be normal attire at one time.
Port of London shown to be a hive of activity : shocking that we managed to trade at all prior to the advent of the EU 😉
Surely BBC 5 live can't be hosting the same Dr Helen Weberley who was criminally convicted of running an unlicensed medical clinic & illegally providing hormones to a minor?? pic.twitter.com/ak1i8ig2Sh
I have long suspected the strategy is pure Hunt The Queen of Spades, taking ‘too big too fail’ to new levels. How else to explain a hiring spree that sees new departments and channels, from BBC Poofter to Pidgen added daily, in the face of ever shrinking audiences. With the only solution to plug the pension problems being sticking it to the poor saps still paying.
But say what Douglas Carswell has predicted comes to pass, will the country face a cluster-FUBAR on Breixitonian levels?
20,000 people can assuredly gobble a £5B annual budget like Sweeney can a Buck’s Fizz, and tough decisions may be need to be made on what is actually affordable. Having the financial acumen of OCD and Di Abbott’s idiot love child is not the best basis for hoping it will be sensible.
And as with the EU, what of all the obligations that pass the other way once Botney’s private lift has been shipped to his country estate?
Who actually owns these buildings you see in the picture? And the kit? And what has been produced as IP of value?
It could be argued not the BBC and its staff, but the people who paid for it all. Through the nose. For decades.

Like any public sector organisation – got to spend the cash be the end of the year and always need more …. NHS is the same , local councils , there can never be enough .
The idea of a State Broadcaster – whether paid by a licence or through direct taxation is an offence in 2019 compared to subscriber models where you have to deliver of people won’t pay .
Are the young royals, Jook and ex model duchess, on to something? Making quite a splash with the Mohamidans, visiting their schools in far off lands. It looks as if they are preparing for the new Europe.
It’s not bbc , it’s not MSM , but the footage of a Christian preacher being arrested for the crime of ‘being annoying ‘ really hits the alarm button about how the ( London ) police are becoming an occupation force .
David Vance has reposted it on twitter – it’s the saddest thing you’ll see apart from soubry crying again.
I woukd love to know how many complaints went in against those coppers for what they did. Nice use of handcuffs on an elderly black man and seizing his bible .
Guest thanks for posting that – no doubt the clip is out of context and is an unfair portrayal of police action . Sounding like the Police press release .
I hope a newspaper picks it up and names the coppers involved .
They seem like the ones who are so overstretched they often appear in Tv licence cam captures standing around gormlessly acting as heavies for Capita salesmen.
Al Beeb……………….
“Brexit: MPs to have final vote by 12 March, says May”
Speaking as she travelled to an EU-Arab League summit in Egypt, Mrs May ruled out holding a so-called “meaningful vote” on her deal this week.
As ‘meaningful’ has become the buzzword of the year, Isn’t it time we had a ‘meaningful’ prime minister with a ‘meaningful’ Brexit.
Two and a half years gone, what has she achieved ?
Is it true that the BBC are about to announce that they’ve cut all ties with their license paying public, and are about to join Soubys Independent group, where they can be ever more sycophantic about the E.U. and ignore the concerns of the majority of their own viewers?
When the TV tax is abolished, and the BBC has to pay its way, I wonder how much money they’ll make from all the ‘labgtdrstd7746ggdh’ dvds they’ll be hoping to sell from progs made in recent years?
We have here, at The Turrets, quite a few older BBC dvds from when they were quite good at comedy, not as good as the independents, but funny enough to enjoy British humour.
Naturally, in future, the news they spout will be uninformative, still opinioned, and mostly ignored, especially in the earlier years, which will be the time when all the massively over-paid luvvies, ‘journos’, autocue-readers and ‘pundits’, will have to find real jobs, or go freelance, when they’ll sink into silly little unwatched niche progs for a pittance.
The TV tax has supported this rabble for far too long, and as they are already deemed unfit for purpose, we can look forward to a much better, realigned information stream from anywhere we choose, the BBC being a long way down the list…
…unless they drop the costs of Hancock’s Half Hour, or ISIRTA!
Interesting the headline is about not paying tv licence
… rather than the BBC working with a far left organisation who were blackmailing my ex employees to invent stories about me,
BBC caught on camera telling an ex employee what questions they would ask her on the doc
… and then TELLING HER WHAT TO ANSWER.
Oh and the face of panorama again on camera proposing to create fake news
.. by telling Lucy they can clip and edit an arguement we had to make this ‘a gender or sexual thing against tommy robinson’.
BBC on camera inventing a fake #metoo story.
Not to mention the disgraceful way the BBC spend our money on champagne lunches,
.. BBC employees making racist, homophobic and anti working class comments.
… Clearly the press dont want to talk about all that so instead headline about us cancelling our TV licence….
Well, if you haven’t seen The Favourite yet, I suggest you find another way to spend a couple of hours. Olivia Coleman might be good, but all she did was shout her way through the film, and the rest of the time the cast walked up and down corridors or got pushed around in a wheelchair, and all the action took place in a stately home, so not much cash spent on locations. As for the ‘adult’ content that was much reported, I expected seeing mild porn, but there was more action in a Michael Douglas film !

Reg Dwight, doesn’t have a long criminal record; unlike Yaxley-Lennon. A more apposite comparison would be with Garry Glitter:

John Sweeney leads the BBC charge to take down dangerous Far Right extremist Tommy Robinson.
So one might imagine Sweeney would look to political moderates for inspiration…surely?
Nope…Sweeney’s great political hero is…chief of staff of the IRA (as he admits), Martin McGuinness.

Arthur Trof23 February 2019

But Tory association chairs on the National Conservative Convention piled pressure on any MPs thinking of backing the amendment in a motion passed by 72 to 15 at a meeting on Saturday.
The motion stated: “The National Convention supports the commitments the Prime Minister has made to the country to honour the European Union referendum result of 2016, that having triggered Article 50 we will leave the European Union on the 29 March 2019.
“Another referendum, a delay beyond the European elections, taking ‘no deal’ off the table or not leaving at all would betray the 2016 People’s Vote and damage democracy and our party for a generation.”

Social justice poisons everything it touches.

Beeb,
According to wiki, the attendance was 2,424, the majority of whom I’m sure we’re local schoolkids at a £1 a time.

SO WHAT?

Is it possible that Brexit has uncovered many of the infiltrators into our political system, in both the Labour and Conservative parties? I don’t think it’s beyond possibility that secret plans were made by the EU thugs to do this, after all they’ve had over 40 years to do these things.

Sunday being the day for idle thoughts, I was pondering the future of the BBC when I came across this http://mediacityuk.co.uk/whos-here/key-occupiers/bbc/ and it sparked a few more.
