The people versus Charles 1st look what happened in a much more repressive society …….is there an oak tree large enough for this lot to hide for a while ?

The Royal Oak is the English oak tree within which the future King Charles II of England hid to escape the Roundheads following the Battle of Worcester in 1651. The tree was in Boscobel Wood, which was part of the park of Boscobel House. Charles told Samuel Pepys in 1680 that while he was hiding in the tree, a Parliamentarian soldier passed directly below it. The story was popular after the Restoration, and is remembered every year in the English traditions of Royal Oak Day.

Numerous large slipware dishes (known as ‘chargers’) depicting the Boscobel Oak, were made by the Staffordshire potter Thomas Toft. The oak tree is shown being supported by the Lion and Unicorn, with the king’s face peeping from the branches.[1]

There are indications that Pride’s Purge mark two could come any time now to forcibly remove from Parliament, all those who were not supporters of Brexit. Five men of the 3rd Battalion of the Parachute Regiment have been caught using a picture of Jeremy Corbyn for target practice. They made the mistake of posting their practice session on Twitter. There are also rumours that a large number of military vehicles have been leaving the Leconfield and Catterick camps in Yorkshire as part of a plan that includes 3,500 troops who think they have been called up to defend Theresa May from angry and violent demonstrators outside of Parliament, but could actually be used by the Army top brass to support the demonstrators, by purging Parliament of the Remainers.

Problem is some have electronic tags to wear as they are convicted criminals of some of the the worse kind i.e. perverting the course of justice yet refuse to resign as unfit to be an MP, which they demonstrably are, BUT we now have a diverse society which, it seems, means that decency and honour are no longer a British trait, as our immigrant stock demonstrate.

In a WhatsApp group for Labour MPs, she compared her situation to that of Jesus Christ after his conviction.

As first reported in The Times, Onasanya wrote she was “in biblical company along with Joseph, Moses, Daniel and his three Hebrew friends, who were each found guilty by the courts of their day”.

Forgive my limited grasp of history / biblical knowledge but I do not believe any of the aforementioned were doing 41 MPH in a 30 limit putting lives at risk then blamed in on their drug dealer brother although I may be mistaken

Actually, lads & lasses, Jesus of Nazareth (well, really Bethlehem but the Pharisees were not good on detail) was deemed an offender for 1. healing on the Sabbath, and, 2. for forgiving sins, thus claiming to be God.

That, and the fact that His holy life, miracles and living showed up a corrupt Priesthood, as well as a Sanhedrin that was no better, led to Him being nailed by Romans (Gentiles) to one of their crosses.

But God had a plan. 🙂 “I have authority (power) to lay it (my life) down and take it up again.” (John 10v18) And thus the price for sins was paid. That whole chapter of John’s Gospel is a wonderful chapter and kind of extra relevant for right now.

Now, if only the PM had a plan to deal with the evil EU ….

We need Peers and Poland to come to our rescue next week. C’mon Poland! You owe us one. Remember?!

A quick reminder of those who are given the reponsibility to represent us:
Fiona Onasanya, Peterborough’s Labour MP who was last year found guilty of perverting the course of justice, has been sentenced this morning to three months. She has become the first woman MP ever to be jailed…

The judge said that “If she wasn’t an MP or wasn’t in a position of responsibility, she would go inside. It’s not one law for those in a position of power, and another for those who are not.”

“By the time you met a police investigator, you knew that you were providing information that you knew to be untrue. You deliberately committed the offend of which you are convicted. That was a disastrous decision. It is an aggravating feature that you both persisted with dishonest course… It was a serious and flagrant offence.”

Onasanya’s defence argued that as a barrister and an MP, prison time would be overly harsh, as “she will no longer be able to work in either of her chosen professions.” Guido would have thought that she should have considered this before attempting to pervert the course of justice…

Her brother Festus, who had previously been sentenced to 54 months back in 2011 for offensive robbery, and had a raft of drug offences is expected to serve prison time for ten months. His guilty plea entitled him to a reduction of 15%.

Far be it from me to wonder whether she is a con artist (politicians generally) who additionally has a certain card to play.
Given some of our contemporary obsessions, this is the card to play if you want to shut up the critics. These include, not only the Tories in her constituency, but also Labour, the party she represented. But their cards pale into insignificance by comparison…

Thus it was ; well you know the picture .
The trouble about the EU is there is a lot of technicality which is boring to the average Joe ( until it affects him ) although some people think it’s deliberate . Be boring and no one wants to see what you’re doing . Who wants to get excited about the Blue Book unless you are in an industry that needs the Blue Book ?
    Or the Green Book .
I couldn’t blame anyone who crosses the floor of a pub to get away from me telling about the technicalities of that !
But Aaronvitches programme did the narrative , not a true a analysis or technical breakdown , so from the conclusion was Brexit bad , Remain good .

So I give a challenge to the pro EU lot ( Maxi ? ) .

Theresa May is simply following orders from the Civil Service, as she has since the Chequers Deal was constructed for her to force upon the Tory Party. Almost all Civil Servants support the Labour Party as the Labour Party are also supporters of the European Union as is Theresa May. The Civil Service expected the Labour Party to support the withdrawal agreement, so its only natural for Civil Servants to help the Labour Party with its Customs Union Plan for Theresa May to be ordered to force upon the Tory Party, as they did with the Chequers Plan.

Tory MP’s cant get rid of their leader because they voted for her to stay. Labour MP’s cant get rid of their leader because their membership love him dearly. But at least the Tories can cleanse themselves of those who vote for the Customs Union plan, after she goes, by deselecting those who vote for it, and putting Boris Johnson in charge, on a clean break ticket for the next General Election. If that happens, the Labour Party are stitched up if they either keep Jeremy Corbyn or replaice him. The membership wont replace him with one of the few Brexeteers in the Labour party, so the Labour Party would be stitched up by its own Customs Union Brexit Plan.

In my opinion that would be a big mistake on the part of the few remaining Tory members.

In my view Johnson has shown himself to be too much of a damp squid, cowardly and rather two-faced – he went walkabouts during the talks up to and after the buildup to the big vote and was/still is more concerned with his mistress?/personal life. In other words: the whole nation knows that he wanted to remain enslaved to a foreign power, obviously, leaving him more time at his barbers and more time in the mornings to practice his pretended “looks of surprise” when the PM leads us slowly into more bondage with the EU godfathers.

Apologies if this has already been discussed (I’ve not had the time to catch up). Below is the response I received from “the Government”. Are they living in a parallel universe where the leaflet they sent out actually meant anything? How can they refer to the the leaflet and reiterate that they would implement whatever we chose, when the very same leaflet specifically said we would be leaving the customs union, the single market and the jurisdiction of the ECJ? Mays so called deal delivers none of the above but they still quote the promises they made in the leaflet. Next they will be telling us that night is day and vice versa.

The Government has responded to the petition you signed – “Parliament must honour the Referendum result. Leave deal or no deal 29/03/19”.

    “Government responded:

The Government stands by its commitment to uphold the result of the 2016 referendum and to deliver the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.

In 2016, this Government stated that it would honour the result of the referendum, whatever the outcome.

During the 2016 referendum campaign, this Government wrote to every UK household to promise that it would implement the result of the referendum. With that commitment in mind, 17.4 million people voted to leave the European Union, providing the biggest democratic mandate for any course of action ever directed at a UK Government.

The British people voted once again in the General Election of 2017, with over 80% of those who voted, voting for parties, including the Opposition, who committed to respecting and implementing the result of the referendum.

The British people have made their view clear. It is now our responsibility to uphold the result of the referendum.

The Government’s policy was to deliver Brexit on the 29th of March. The Government has agreed a short extension with the EU, and continues to try and find consensus that will ensure the UK leaves in a smooth and orderly way. However, in the event that the House does not pass the meaningful vote, the legal default remains that the UK will leave the EU on the 12th of April without a negotiated agreement.”

Just when you thought Parliament couldn’t sink any lower, along comes jailbird MP Fiona Onasanya to cast the deciding vote in favour of the latest Stop Brexit manoeuvre.

Onasanya walked through the voting lobby wearing the electronic ankle tag with which she was fitted after being released early from HMP Bronzefield in Surrey.

Her participation ensured that the Bill to change the law so that Britain can’t leave the EU without a ‘deal’ passed by the narrowest of margins, 313 to 312.

Fiona Onasanya cast the deciding vote in favour of the latest Stop Brexit manoeuvre

Onasanya, MP for Peterborough, served just 28 days of a three-month sentence for perverting the course of justice, after repeatedly lying to police to avoid a speeding fine.

If she had been forced to complete her full term she would still have been in prison and, therefore, unable to vote.

Such is the desperation of those determined to defy the democratic will of the British people that they are prepared to rely on the help of a convicted criminal to get their way.

We now live in a country where the vote of a single, disgraced MP outweighs the votes of 17.4 million people in a referendum.

  28. Annunaki says:

She had previously voted against Theresa May’s withdrawal agreement. This is regardless of the fact that more than 60 per cent of her constituents in Peterborough voted Leave.

The Labour Party withdrew the whip after she was convicted, but we’re told nothing could be done to stop her voting in the Commons. Really? I’m sure Speaker Bercow could have come up with some arcane rule which would have prevented her casting a vote.

After all, he’s already reached back to the 1600s in his apparent determination to Stop Brexit. And he continues to tear up the rule book and override precedent.

The Bill to extend Article 50 was rammed through in just four hours. Bercow’s behaviour has been described as a ‘constitutional outrage’ by Brexiteers.

Outside the Westminster Bubble, most people would think that allowing a convicted criminal wearing an ankle tag to cast the deciding vote on a crucial Bill affecting Britain’s future was also a constitutional outrage.

Yet the Speaker and the other 312 MPs who voted in favour of the motion, put forward by Oliver Leftwing and Pixie Balls-Cooper, could see nothing wrong with Onasanya helping their cause. They would have been screaming blue murder if she’d voted the other way. You can bet your life that Bercow would have come up with something, anything, to stop that happening.

You might also have hoped that one, just one, ‘honourable’ member planning to vote in favour would have been seized by a pang of conscience and abstained, to cancel out Onasanya’s vote.

But no. As far as the Remain headbangers are concerned, Brexit must be derailed at any cost, even if that means the last vestiges of decency being thrown out of the window.

To make matters worse, Onasanya wasn’t the only crooked MP allowed to vote this week.

Tory Chris Davies, member for Brecon and Radnorshire, trooped through the lobby while awaiting sentencing for fraud.

Why exactly would brazil nuts be affected? As far as I know they come from outside EU and they might actually get cheaper after Brexit ..Just another piece of shite. In fact the chap from the company said it’s needed to satisfy demand from customers..oh dear their demand is going up – due to Brexit 🙂
There is a more realistic reason that they don’t mention.
Prices of Brazil nuts have increased by over 22% over last few years due to production issues in SAmerica and as UK is one of largest importers they would be more affected – so rather than being forward planning due to production issues and harvest – it has to be linked to BREXIT by BBC

Shhhhhhhh not to be mentioned by our far leftists media especially not the BBC

Uber has barred a London driver from the app after two men claimed he cancelled their requested trip because he “doesn’t take Jews”.

The driver, identified to his passengers as “Ahmad”, was booked for a journey in Wembley on Monday afternoon by Sam Adler and his business partner.

“We were standing by the High Road in Wembley, and the guy drove past and said ‘just dropping off a passenger, I’m coming back’”, Mr Adler told the JC.

Mr Adler said he believed the driver then noticed that the two men waiting were wearing kippahs, because he said the driver subsequently “turned around, and as he drove past us, said ‘I don’t take Jews’. Then he hightailed it, just pegged it.”

Screenshots of the booked journey, seen by the JC, show the driver then cancelled the booking via the app.

In a statement to the JC, an Uber spokesperson said that the behaviour was “totally unacceptable” and that the company “does not tolerate any form of discrimination.

“As soon as we are made aware of these situations we remove a driver’s access from the app and report them to the Metropolitan Police.”

Uber had told Mr Adler the situation was being “handled as a priority”, confirming they had “the full details of the partner-driver, trip and rider on our systems, so that we can immediately investigate any concerns raised”.

However, they declined to provide Mr Adler with any compensation when he asked, telling him: “We would never want to minimise an experience like you describe by putting an arbitrary monetary value on the situation.

“What may be one value to an individual may be different to another – it is just not possible to calculate.”…

    R4, Today 6.45
Yesterday in Lords “perfectly” summarised in typical biased-BBC style by Susan Hume:

“The bill had whizzed through the Commons … getting passed by just one vote” (no mention of the fact that this vote was cast by a “criminal”, who arguably should not have even been there).

But the Lords don’t like to hurry things and the (mainly) Conservative peers who loathe both the bill and the process were determined to use the fact that bills cannot be time-restricted to full effect.”

So Labour’s Lady Hayter had a message for those trying to hold up the passage of the bill. The condescension in her opening speech about the “small group of unelected Peers … trying to stop us considering the bill … to halt the Common‘s desire to prevent a no deal” [which Hume plays almost in full] makes my skin crawl.

The extremely eloquent speeches of numerous Leaver Lords that followed go unmentioned. For entertainment, she provides comments by Blunkett and an “irate” Naseby criticising “light weight” MPs.

An “amusing” anecdote is then given of the completely flustered Deputy Speaker [because things weren’t proceeding at the usual leisurely pace] “whose hand fluttered up to her brow” when she couldn’t immediately find a piece of paper. Essential reporting, I’m sure.

“Peers then had to vote on whether to have a vote on whether to talk about the bill in a lot more detail. Peers, who wanted to crack on, won by a big majority but it was all a bit baffling for those at the end of the chamber” [who couldn’t hear what was going on].”

An “extremely disappointed” Lady Evans points out that TM is to ask for a delay at Wednesday’s summit anyway but “if the EU offers something different, the bill will force the PM to check back with Parliament, by which point the Council will be over and EU leaders have gone home, so we’ll potentially have to agree a further extension with the EU via correspondence 24 hours before our departure.”

Hume then allows a “horrified” Lord Lawson a few words on the “appalling day” and “constitutional vandalism”. While she has Lib Dem Newby counter with the fact that unprecedented collapse of Government needs to be responded to by Parliament with unprecedented measures (he actually spoke before Lawson).

As the Lords seemed “no closer to starting the debate”, she tiptoes softly away to see how they’re getting along at the other end of the corridor and finishes her piece with the “pitter patter” of water pouring down through the roof of the Commons [i.e. it’s mid-afternoon, about 14.48].

Having actually listened [well, with one ear] to the entire “debate” which continued till late in the night, I claim she may have missed anything actually worth reporting. But even from the morning session, she could have given any one of the important reasons WHY so many Lords were against this (precedential) bill being passed in such a hurry.

But her intent was to ridicule and we don’t really expect anything else of the BBC anyway, do we?

    Where did it all begin?
When did the Centre become ‘the Far Right’, ‘Fascists’ and ‘Neo-Nazis’?
    Well, I have a theory:
We need to go back to Soviet times, when the Berlin wall was expected to be the site of a show down between the liberal West and the clear ENEMY -the Commies.
But in 1989, all change. The wall comes down and the Soviet Empire collapses a year or two later.
Suddenly the Commies are no longer the enemy. We are told ‘it’s the end of history’.
Not long, but someone, somewhere has already located a new enemy, and given it a name. It is Joshka Fisher, new German Foreign Minister, and a member of the Green Party, in the Socialist-Green coalition ruling Germany.
By 1998 he has declared Mr Milosevic to be the new Hitler, who is busy creating a new Auschwitz in the FRY, to be exact, in Kosovo. The peace-loving Greens had found the enemy and their first war. The enemy was now no longer the Communist menace. It was the Fascists, declared the tennis-shoe wearing Fisher. Cos they were doing exactly what Hitler did.
And lo and behold, before 2001, before Iraq or Aghanistan, before Lybia and Syria, NATO went to war, naturally for ‘humanitarian’ reasons. The Serbs were now the target. Kosovo had to be ‘liberated’.
    That was twenty years ago.
The Greens are currently on the rise again, in Germany. Joshka Fisher may be gone, but the Greens (together with the Socialists (and Merkel’s CDU) are still fighting ‘Fascism’. This time it’s crept into their own parliament.
This time it’s the AfD, who were yesterday prevented from taking their rightful seat in the Presidium of the German parliament, since they are the only real opposition.
With the enthusiastic help of the German state broadcasters, the AfD -who wanted to create an opposition to Merkel’s ‘alternativlos’ policies- are not ‘salonfaehig’ as the Germans would say. They are being smeared as the new Nazis, a smelly bunch, who can’t really be allowed into polite company.

It’s not that long ago, certainly within Marxist Mays mess of a premiership.
The Fascist Left and corrupt politicians bribed by the oil rich Middle Eastern states are desperate to silence criticism of Islam at any cost and so have moved the goalposts of what constitutes ‘far right’, so that now anyone who criticises Islam is opposed to Islamic immigration or the islamification of the UK is classed as ‘far right’

You can see the proof of this here:

Thoughtful – As I said at the beginning, my musings are only a theory, designed to entertain you if you’re bored with the whole Brexit theatre. And as a theory, it could be wrong. But it disagrees with your theory which, if I may say so, lacks a little historical context, as regards to where this all began.
But it’s important when the jugglers are juggling, to keep your eyes on all the balls. And have a look at their colours, while you’re at it. Personally, I watch that green ball very carefully.
Later on, I will explain why the German Green Party, apparently focused on issues environmental, but in reality a toxic brew we will hear more of, are not the only reason. I hope you will bear with me, thoughtful. I shall try to show the very real links between your tale and mine.
So as with all juggling, prepare to be amazed.
