With the current state of UK politics it is perfectly understandable for people to wish that UKIP could become a serious political party once more with genuine and achievable aims, but while Gerard Batten continues to polish his all too accurate E L Wisty impression, I fear that will never happen.
A leader must be above all charismatic – our current stuttering PM has none and asthmatic Corbyn is worse – so the field is massively tilted to our advantage. Who is there to unite the Leavers as one cohesive and coherent political party? The obvious answer would seem to be Farage because he has all the charisma – but he’s marmite too, like it or not.
History repeatedly shows that these conditions create the figurehead required. Just maybe the latest Brexit delay might do us a favour….
“”BREXIT-backing Cabinet Ministers are threatening to quit if Theresa May backs a People’s Vote – after the Chancellor said it was a “credible” idea.””
“”The Sun can reveal furious Ministers discussed a ‘pact’ at a meeting of the ‘pizza club’ organised by Andrea Leadsom on Wednesday night.””
Who is this muppet (from Pimlico plumbing?) in Talk Radio is trying to argue with Mike Graham but actually has no argument. Every time Mike challenges his assertions, all he can say is “All I’m saying is…” and then goes on to say not a lot of any substance really.
Well apart from the fact they had a leak in Parliament yesterday I don’t see the relevance of his input.
Always brought on as a working class lad done well, an example of what anybody can achhieve under a free enterprise system. He has done well and made “loads of money” but in reality ” flash as a rat with a gold tooth”.
R4..now,,,Why is it everytime I switch it on the plays they have now are all about muslims/Islam? I am saddened by the inexorable decline in the breadth and quality of R4 material – and don’t get me on to their so called comedy….
