YP : Why climate change isn’t just a middle-class concern says former NUM president – Ian Lavery MP
ends
\\ Just as the first Industrial Revolution gave us the coal mines, the Green Industrial Revolution will make the UK a global leader in renewable energy.
It will bring well-paid, unionised jobs to towns left decimated by de-industrialisation.
Climate change is happening now, and we can’t wait to be in Government to make these plans happen. There is so much we can do to save our planet and increase the standard of living for the many.
We must not miss this opportunity.//
The pioneer fallacy is when the UK rushes in and makes a lot of expensive mistakes
.. whilst other countries sit back and laugh and learn for free.

That must be the longest coherent statement he’s yet made. Reading it makes sense, of a sort, too – listening would not be quite the same experience.

This has only a distant connection to the BBC, but I’ll mention it anyway – because it annoys me!
Ben Goldscheider, from Hertfordshire, is an outstanding French horn player, or should I say player of the French horn, who failed to win the 2016 BBC Young Musician of the Year. Sheku Kanneh-Mason came first and his picture has been all over the place since. Go figure. In spite of this, Goldscheider is doing well in the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition. He has a great future in spite of having had lung problems since early childhood.
The unspeakably stupid Daily Mail has obviously never heard of the “French horn” because some clown has described the internet link: “French teen with lung disease became a music sensation”.
British education, 21st century style.

It’s a 2017 DM page and the html coding has the title coded as
<title>French teen with lung disease became a music sensation | Daily Mail Online</title>
So whenever any puts that URL int a Twitter/Facebook the preview link, automatically shows up as those words.

Hunt now says ‘No Deal’ must be put back on the table and the Tories should make a pact with TBP for the next General Election.
Reminds me of something I read once, in the Beano I think:-
“Tee hee hee arf arf.”

\\British Steel seeks government loan for ‘Brexit issues’//
Reading further on ……………
“The firm has been hit by a European Union decision to suspend UK firms’ access to free carbon permits until a Brexit withdrawal deal is ratified.”
Holding us to ransom ? The sooner we are out , the better.

@Taffman no last month the corp asked for and was given a £120m loan to deal with the carbon permit issue
This new request is different
\\ The company, reported to be close to collapse, blamed uncertainty over Brexit for current problems but insisted it was trying to “navigate through” the issues.
The reports, leaked to Sky News, said discussions had been held with senior government officials over loans to keep the company buoyant for the coming months. //
It needs to balance its UK/foreign sales vs its costs which include foreign ore and coal
So currency fluctuations are important
It has a particularly large order to supply German rail with rails
..so on time payment for things like that are important.
It’s actually just splashed cash to buy a French plant, so it is strange to have to beg to borrow money now.
I would have thought its hedge fund owners could borrow on the money markets.
In normal operations £100m isn’t a great deal of money
If months go well the plants could make hundreds of millions in profits , if they go badly then it can lose hundreds of millions
But I am not aware of any plant breakdowns or lack of orders right now.

“”Tommy Robinson faces new contempt case””
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48273780
No mention this time of Yaxley-Lennon, his twin brother.

‘The Independent’ managed to squeeze it in.
Then again, there’s NOTHING independent about ‘The Independent’.

”The allegations concern a Facebook broadcast by Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, which was watched by thousands of people.”
Maybe we have a mole at the BBC who is doing it on purpose, to help Tommy get recognised on the MEP ballot paper,

Dover Sentry,
They do include the obligatory Yaxley Lennon.Could be they put it in after you read it. And of course they have to begin with a mention of Tommy’s past in the EDL.
They get around to the fact that he is running in the EU elections – something they should have mentioned right at the beginning since it’s far more newsworthy than his past life in the EDL.
This most-trusted broadcaster can always be trusted to put it’s own narrow lefty agenda before the news.

It wasn’t mentioned when I posted it. The BBC must have added it.

16:22pm new paragraph mentions SYL
16:52pm added he is standing as MEP
and also this “She said reasons for the decision would be given at a later date.”
Why could the judge not give those reasons today ?

The BBC are quick off the mark to do their bit for damage limitation.
Tommy has been told he has to go back to the (kangaroo) court for another spurious hearing. Stalin would be proud of the modern UK. I think even the most obtuse must by now be aware of what our elite are up to.
And we’ve heard from survivors of the London Bridge Muslim massacre. The “men” involved corralled the women before attacking. This was premeditated religious slaughter on the streets of our capital, undertaken by third world barbarians.
So, to even up the score, the Beeb bring us the tiddly little story of the foreign kid who had water thrown over him. His family claim that they have “had to move.”
I bet they’re still in Britain.
I wish I was…

We all know how biased the BBC is against Israel. I am
writing this in Tel Aviv after eating in a huge fish
restaurant in Jaffa on the sea front. About 1/3 of the diners
were Israeli Jews , 1/3 Israeli Muslims and 1/3 tourists from
all over the world.
Israel is called by the liberal bigots like the BBC an apartheid state.
I wonder how many Algerian Jews were eating in Algiers restaurants
this evening? How many Iraqi Jews in Baghdad .How many Jews
in Tripoli? In Damascus?
There used to be hundreds of thousands of Jews in Arab countries
in the Middle East. There are practically not any now. BBC where is
the apartheid ?

Foscari,
I believe I have eaten at that very restaurant. The BBC is impervious to all evidence that Israel is not an apartheid state.
A few years back a black South African politician wrote that he was perplexed at this insistence that Israel is an apartheid state. He’d visited and seen all races, colours and religions mingling everywhere he went.
The BBC is too thick and stuck in its bias to understand how insulting its stance is to those who actually lived through apartheid.

What’s next for Tommy Robinson? Have the powers that be set a date for the new round of ‘legal’ harassment of a guy who has more guts and moral fibre than the whole motley crew of them put together?
Or are they waiting to work out which date will be most effective in interfering with his political programme?

did he say 5 july ?

Eddy Booth,
Dunno. I’m struggling to find info on this gadget I’m surfing on at the moment.
They say justice delayed is justice denied and that is true for Tommy as they drag this ridiculous court case on and on simply, it seems, to torture him.
To drag him before a kangaroo court and then shove him in solitary confinement was such an injustice that the appeal court should have exonerated him completely rather than prolonging the course of this ‘justice.’
It is, in fact, an appalling miscarriage of justice.

All sorts of people are crowing over Ben Shapiro breaking off an interview with the BBC’s Andrew Neil. The consensus seems to be that wunderkind Ben couldn’t take the heat, and fled from the forensic brilliance of our ‘Brillo’.`
What a laugh it was many commented that conservative Ben accused a British conservative of being a leftist with an agenda before ‘storming out’ of the interview.
But I’m with Ben on this one. Andrew Neil was unprofessional and showed a disgusting left-wing bias. So much for Andrew Neil’s famous even-handedness: https://bit.ly/2Q3hcUV

Well you might have had a point if Shapiro hadn’t acknowledged he lost this one big time by failing to prepare. Neil played devils advocate and Shapiro lost it

Thoughtful,
I saw the clip and I think Shapiro is being a bit too hard on himself and too easy on Neil. The latter might be practically the only political journalist among the whole motley left-wing crew there who is not far left but still he works for the foul BBC and the reputation of the BBC precedes it.
I don’t think Shapiro should be berating himself too much for misreading Neil.

Rasmus Paludan heard of him ? Wonder why not? Well he’s doing rather well in Denmark as leader of a so called ‘populist’ party and saying and doing things which would see him locked up for a very long time in the UK.
“Danish Hard Line party leader Rasmus Paludan calls out the great replacement: “Mulisms marry very early and get a lot of children. Danes marry late and get very few children.” “In 2040, Danes will be a minority in their own country. And that won’t be fun, for you or me!”
“Paludan has taken the public discourse about Islam to levels unseen in the political square, which include his many antics like burning the Quran, wrapping it in bacon and leading demonstrations which have turned into violent riots. He has advocated the expulsion of all Muslims who “believe they can decide what the limit of freedom of expression should be”, despite being quoted as stating that all Muslims should be expelled.
And people here think Tommy Robinson is extreme ?

So why aren’t they being deported as ‘non conducive’?
Germany – yes Merkels Germany defended a case in the Human rights court that they were able to deport people who were the offspring of first generation migrants, i.e. people who had been born in Germany to immigrant parents.
So if Germany is able to deport these criminals why can’t we do the same?

Guest Who,
I’m wondering who Heidi Allen is and why she would think she has the ability to debate Farage.
I thought she was the leader of a tiny breakaway party of Remainer traitors who are contemptuous of democracy, are sitting somewhere near the bottom of the polls and will only be voted for by family and friends. (OK, I’m exaggerating a bit.)
Meanwhile Nigel Farage has fought for Brexit for decades and is leading a party which has surged way ahead of all others in the polls for the EU election and captured the imagination of people across the country.
Nigel Farage debating Heidi Allen would be like the great Placido Domingo singing a duo with Miley Cyrus.
