As far as I can tell, the BBC is not expressing much glee over Tommy Robinson’s failure to become an MEP. It seems to be leaving that up to like-minded ‘journalists’ at the Guardian and the Independent.
Guardian and Independent of what, one might ask.
As I surfed for UK results of the EU elections, the BBC informed me that the UK European Union Party got 33 576 votes, the Animal Welfare Party got 25 232, the Women’s Equality Party got 23 766, the Independent Network got 7 641 and the Socialist Party of Great Britain got 3 505 votes. All of them were trounced by Tommy Robinson with 38 908 votes.
Then I saw that Independents got a total of 80 280 votes. The BBC offered no breakdown of these votes so I turned to the excellent coverage by Wikipedia to see if Tommy had any close competitors among them:
He didn’t. In fact, his closest competitor was an Independent in Scotland with 6 128 votes and all of the 11 Independents who stood in London only managed to share just over 7 000 votes.
No shame for Tommy Robinson. In fact, those who strive to bring him down, including that most-trusted broadcaster, are the ones who should be ashamed.
The Far Left is frightened of Mr Robinson so with the help of the Far Left BBC and it’s media comrade it has built a very strong negative brand for him .
It’s just straight hate . No mention of views or contemporary activities or speeches . I heard that gutter dweller – Jess ‘ I’m a Brummy Me ‘ Phillips being allowed to just dismiss TR by the BBC at ‘ vermin ‘ and they moved on.
He really is a prophet in the wilderness who does something -which I admire because of the personal cost to him . I on the other hand hide behind a false badge here and spout off .
Nice to be first for a change – so that’s what it feels like -life changing ????

The BBC would have us believe that the streets of Nairobi are safer than London, which is why Somali families in London are sending their teenage boys “home”, except of course that Nairobi is not home; their own country , Somali, is one of the most dangerous in the world.

Nairobi is not much better either, but the theme is that these innocent lads (which they may be) will be much safer there than in London. The reason they feel unsafe in London is largely of their own making: 3% of all foreign nationals in UK prisons are Somali although they make up only 0.15% of the population. Somalis are steeped in inter-clan and inter-tribal violence and they have taken to London’s street gangs like ducks to water. Good try from the BBC to depict London as more dangerous than East Africa.

standing as an independent. He got just 10,000 less than the

All EU immigration is sent up to Scotland
The EU tell the Scots the terms , costs and conditions for membership.
The Scots vote whether to remain independent or join the EU
Everyone lives happily ever after.
Adding to the maths gymnastics being done by remainers to somehow say they won the eu elections.
The truth is, vegetarians won the vote.
The greens support vegetarianism so this means that every other party that voted the same as the greens did must also support vegetarianism, the same way that everyone who didn’t vote for TBP was counted as pro eu.
Therefore, the majority of voters voted for vegetarianism.

I remember several years ago when I read about the EU voting procedure and thinking this doesn’t sound fair because it favours political parties, not individual candidates. Typical EU, using its power to limit democracy to something they can better manage.
I think a more fair method would be that for each voting region; eg the North West of England; all the candidates names should be on the ballot paper. If that method had been adopted, there’s a good chance Tommy would have gained a seat.

That is a very interesting way of looking at it. He’s a guy on his own, so why shouldn’t the rest of them be evaluated in the same way.
True Too, I’d say that Tommy Robinson did remarkably well, especially given the forces working against him.
I hope his performance encourages him to try again, and that each campaign will probably help him devise ways to neutralise the toxic effect of the MSM and their lickspittles such as the far-left bbc collective.

Yes, if you take into account the incredible opposition he faces every day, it was even more of an achievement.
Disgusting performance by the ruling elite to ignite the supression of all Media in all directions against T Robinson’s efforts to get his message across. Frankly we should all be outraged, sickened at such a demonstration of undemocratic behaviour. The unseeing hand of control slithering across this nation is very worrying or should be for its citizens.

With click or two of a mouse, little propagandists like Mark Zuckerberg, with no moral fibre, can deny Tommy Robinson his voice among his million-plus supporters on Farcebook.
He finished 8th, with 2.2% of the vote, lost his deposit and left the count after an hour. He’s demanded a 2nd vote.
I guess that’s a victory like David Vance’ s 1,856 votes in 2010?
Just one other point. As an “expert” on football corruption who

It would not surprise me in the least if Tommy Robinson got
more than twice than his 39000 total listed votes.
Ok from filling Goodison Park to filling Old Trafford would of
not given him an MEP spot for next season. But the way Everton
were playing at the end of the season compared to Man Utd
was very encouraging.

I’m still waiting with great anticipation for the Panorama on Tommy Robinson that the BBC petulantly said it would still produce after Tommy’s brilliant Panodrama sting, from which the BBC is unlikely to ever recover.
I scrolled through a whole bunch of Panorama episodes and can’t find a single mention of Tommy Robinson or ‘Takedown’ or Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.
If the BBC thinks it can quietly sneak away with its tail between its legs, having pledged to screen the Tommy Panorama, it has another think coming.
Yes, Tommy has been deplatformed by Farcebook and Twatter and others, but people have long memories, he still has widespread support and there are alternatives to the ‘alternative media’ – which has now become the establishment.
As Alastair Campbell has been chucked out of the Labour party for claiming he supported the Lib Dems then so should M. Heseltine be chucked out of the Tory party for also supporting in the EU Elections the Lib Dem party.
