Dyst, was that the US IPO I refered to yesterday? Dom O’Connell has just informed me on this morning’s TOADY that it came in $2bn above the expected opening?
No profits, burning its funding and valued at $17 billion. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
“Slack’s software replaces emails by grouping messages around subjects, projects and teams. It means that flooding people with irrelevant emails can be cut.”
… So it keeps messages threaded just like happens in a Facebook group FOR FREE
It has about 100,000 paying customers.
$400m revenue in 2018, losses were $144m … ie spent $544m
ie it they spend $5,440 per customer per year & lose $1,440 each one
(Microsoft just banned workers from using it citing security)
How are Tesla shares ?
Now at 221c way down from 361c a few years ago
so if you bought them in the last 5 years , you’ve lost money
‘Met Police ‘failed’ in Tower Hamlets election fraud probe’ (BBBC report March 2017 on 2014 election fraud by Lutfur Rahman).
Mr O’Connell, chairman of the Assembly’s Police and Crime Committee, said: “During our investigation, we, as a committee, have been shocked to uncover major failings by the Metropolitan Police in its ability to investigate allegations of electoral fraud and malpractice.”
Bow/Poplar and Peterborough share some worrying consistencies. Lets hope police competence is not one of them.
just as an aside, tried and failed to discover percentage of postal votes in some selected electoral boroughs. Was intending to do comparables on population make up to see if there were any synergies between levels of postal voting and block voting groups, iygmd.
Doobs, Kemi is, I think, a good ‘un. Ex-MLA and convinced Brexiteer. Will she get a Cabinet post in a Bojo-led Cabinet. Think she may have worked with him at City Hall.
Doh a pregnant normal woman loses money
cos after 6 weeks on almost full salary they get £5K for next 33 weeks
(paid for by taxpayer of the firms customers)
BUT An MP gets full salary throughout
An MPs office might argue that they have to pay someone else to do the work
but during the 33 weeks a normal woman gets £5K , the MP earns
full salary of £1528/week ie £50K
ie her family has £45K more than a normal family
(In fact even more cos in the first 6 weeks a normal woman is on 90% salary whilst an MP is on 100%)
Boris is a step closer to being the next PM, we should be getting project fear on steroids from the BBC any minute now.
All the conservative members who vote will be called everything from OAP idiots to Nazis and racist bigots
How many times will they try and say that electing a new leader in this way is undemocratic
The BBC at least realises that the person to beat the clown Corbyn is Boris, and they are going to abuse anyone who dares to pledge support
Give us Brexit and scrap the licence fee
Fit
‘Brexit knuckle-dragging troglodytes ‘ Matt Carr
‘Flat Earthers’ Jobbie
‘Nazi’s’ Anna Soubry
‘Racist’ SNP’s Ian Blackford
Etc
Etc
They will continue as they have begun, louder and more deranged, possibly.
‘Tower Hamlets election fraud mayor Lutfur Rahman removed from office’ (from BBBC website 23rd April 2015).
‘Spiritual influence: voters were told that it was their duty as Muslims to vote for Mr Rahman. Mr Mawrey cited a letter signed by 101 Imams in Bengali stating it was people’s “religious duty” to vote.’
The above statement was one of the many allegations levelled against Rahman at the time.
Clearly, methodology moves on and I would expect the word ‘Labour’ to be substituted for ‘Mr Rahman’ within a similar comment. Just saying.
Lucy, dun signed the darned thing though believe these things count for not very much and believe folks are all petitioned out.
Would prefer just to snap the wretched BBBC over my knee and be done.
Interested to read about the move through the courts to stop Saudi Arms sales brought by an outfit called Campaign Against Arms Trade. Having never heard about them I found their website and it’s pretty clear that they are the usual banner waving activists we are becoming boringly used to suffering.
Quite apart from the fact that a thriving Arms Trade for the UK (2nd or 3rd biggest in the World) ensures that the UK stays at the cutting edge of the technology much to the safety of this Country and it’s military, it support loads of jobs in the UK.
These people are on a mission to obliterate it and they are not that tolerant..
From their website
“At Stop the Arms Fair we have a safer spaces policy for our meetings and events:
Police are not welcome in this space at any time. Journalists should identify themselves and be prepared to leave if it is not appropriate for them to observe discussions.
We welcome everyone who enters this space with the aim of stopping the arms fair as an equal participant in our movement. We believe each of us has something to contribute and something to learn. We are a collective based on trust, respect, and taking responsibility for our actions.
We consider any behaviour which demeans, marginalises, threatens or harms anybody as oppression, and we commit to challenging it.
Everyone has an equal right to be heard and an equal responsibility to listen.”
In my opinion the last three paragraphs are blown out of the water by the second paragraph and reveal them as the tantrum screeching, untouchable lefty mob they really are.
Maybe they might have a re-think when Brussells decides it’s had enough of our freedom grab and sends in the Euro Army to show us how to be nice meek Europeans.
Oh and I think they might find that the Police can go wherever they like!
Digg,
Combine that outfit with the Climate Change mob and all other anti, anti something’s, it would be the destruction of life (“as we know it Jim”), if Government start listening to them. Problem is, they’ve started listening aka, Zero-emissions and other knee jerk responses to the hairbrains.
Corbyn yesterday (World Refugee Day) peddling the tired fallacy that opposing mass migration is hateful and far right: “we must reject the language of hate and division and offer the hand of humanity to those in need.” I so wish someone in the public sphere would dismantle this.
Well the Dalai Lama said less than a year ago that “Europe belongs to Europeans” and that Middle East refugees should “return to their homelands and rebuild them.” He’s previously remarked that Germany should not become an Arab country. As the reincarnation of Avalokitesvara, the Boddhisattva of compassion he also knows a thing or two about diasporas.
I’ll take his “language of division” over the faux-compassion and ideological posturing of globalist puppets every time.
TM, am not in the public sphere but will offer to dismantle it.
It is important, if you are going to take in refugees, to have the spare capacity, the capable infrastructure in all sorts of areas of life, together with a willingness from the population at large.
Currently, our population are stressed by living with and working with overloaded infrastructure & public services, together with pressures on health (mental health, especially) while coping with adapting to AGW/Climate Change/Climate Emergency/Net Zero CO2 AND if Corbyn and his Party are to be believed cuts in public services plus austerity.
Jeremy Corbyn would do well to study the aftermath of the 1920s Crash in the mid-1930s UK. If he looks at taxation, income levels of the working class and middle class, he will discover how Britain was able to welcome and absorb refugees then.
All he would need to do to provide an open UK society would be to replicate the social, financial and spiritual economy of the time. I reckon it would take him another lifetime and he would have to turf out pretty much all of the Labour Party doctrines to do it.
Terminal, having written the above yesterday, I turn on radio toward end of Farming Today and I hear a farmer somewhere saying pretty much the same as “the capable infrastructure in all sorts of areas of life, together with a willingness from the population at large.” that I posted yesterday.
Up2, that’s good to hear but I fear we’re at a point where logistics and history have been binned in favour of marketing and propaganda. When was the last time you heard the political class or MSM talking sensibly about the effect of immigration on the “social, financial and spiritual economy”? I wait in hope.
Even suggesting such an idea leads you into dreaded “right wing” territory. But having the courage to do the right thing is also compassionate, rather than adopting the position of never upsetting anyone (some Buddhists have coined a nice term for this: ‘idiot compassion’). It could well be more so.
Meanwhile we’re being drip-fed the most superficial, syrupy concern, and the needs of host peoples always comes last because the powers that be have declared anything else is ‘divisive’. Go figure, as the Americans say…
Holed up in a guest house in Notts, I switched on the TV to find it only has 5 channels one of which is a local station which appears to be run by a local Uni. Apparently a training ground for would-be mainstream media folk including reporters who aim for posts at such places at the BBC. etc. I watched an article about a local boys footie team hoping to do big things. The unfortunate girl reporter seemed to have fumbled with this report as she was surrounded by a dozen white lads all wearing red peaked baseball caps. Hope she doesn’t put this clip in her portfolio if she hopes to get into the Beeb – three no-no’s at least!
Just heard Hestletine on the BBC 4 news tell the listener that the EU does not want political control over the UK. He’s just a common liar now, nothing more. Desperation apparent. Excellent!
‘He’s just a common liar now….’
Now? Surely not G. He’s been a Grade A liar for many decades, not least to himself, although his boundless conceit allows him to class it as skilled political interpretation.
You know what I found scary on the programme this morning?
The relentless bias against Brexit? No.
Mishal’s biased interviewing? No.
Project Fear from various sources, not least the Chancellor of the Exchequer? No.
The radio went on just as Dominic O’Connell was doing a small, relatively innocuous item about an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of a tech company in the US. If I’ve remembered this correctly, the business is burning its way through millions every month, is yet to make a profit but is reckoned on launch to become worth multiple billions. I think Dom said $15bn.
We have learned nothing through 1998-2009.
There’s another crash coming and it could be as big, bigger even, than last time. There are more of these ‘worthless’ IPOs on the way.
Another fear is that without any or much connection between business and politicians, the crash may come in time to postpone indefinitely or cancel our Brexit.
And then we may end paying for Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Germany – oh, and not getting our money back from Ireland from last time – and having to bail them out again on top. That is scary.
Snuff – If Mishal’s biased interviewing doesn’t put you off anymore, you qualify as fully inoculated.
As to the other, there will be some who will make a handsome profit from the disaster, when it happens.
fnw
Numerous posts recently concerning unacceptable attitues and behaviour in interviews by BBC staff.
Just do not take any crap from the lefty scum.
Some suggested responses :-
“What time does the real interviewer arrive?”
“Shall I ask the questions and you provide the answers?”
“When did you give up journalism for propaganda?”
tlwei “Great post LCS”
Thank you, but after 90 minutes 2 approvals.
Your support has emboldened me, I have done a Rory, and approved myself.
Not BBBC
Still a “d” missing from attitudes, despite the edit.
Thinkpad ten years old in August, on twelve hours every day, like me it has seen better days, still works,
very slowly. Needs replacing, what (Windows PCs) have BBBC contributors purchased recently that they are satisfied with?
The artifically inflated housing market with all these government-backed mortgages will be the starting point of the 2021 crash.
Anything at all that is negative regarding the economy will be spun as a consequence of Brexit and used to further the case for more delay.
Ironic that the idiots who moaned about ‘uncertainty’ prior to the ‘leaving date’ in March, are the same clowns pushing for more uncertainty and delay today.
Same old news from SA. No point in commenting on the frequent farm murders (except to say R.I.P., farmers Bonnema and van der Bergh and Ms Bijral); what’s really new is the invasion by armed mobs of the Mogalakwena Municipal Offices in Limpopo province.
Assault of security guards and damage to the offices, 5 arrested. South Africa apparently keen to follow Zimbabwe to failed nation status.
Meanwhile, a certain Mr de Klerk casts light onto how these things have been permitted to spiral out of control. In an interview in the top-notch Swiss paper ‘Neue Zuericher Zeitung’, the man who handed power over to the ANC/SACP, says nothing about crime, but -in the best tradition of Western ‘liberals’- rails aginst ‘populists’.
Who knows, that could warrant an invitation from Oslo, Copenhagen or Stockholm for another little pat on the back?
Good boy….
Up2
I heard that before the off switch came into play . I’m waiting for the ‘this Time it’s different ‘ line to appear – or the famous Gordon Brown line about ‘no more boom and bust ‘
I , too , fear for a correction / crash and after last time did a bit of research about ‘black swan events ‘.
Inflated asset values , notional money sloshy around , people borrowing more – all the ingredients are falling into place .
I think Blighty is a bit better positioned because of the amount to tax receipts coming in being above expectation – but that’s brexit for you .
Meanwhile
The bbc website says it is to review how it ‘vets ‘ people turning up on the screen or radio. This will mean there won’t be even a token ‘right winger ‘ or Brexiteer on the BBC any more …..
Just thought I’d listen to r4 PM to hear about the voting and its wall to wall boris bashing. From Hestltine rambling on and being allowed to call him rotten, to Max Hastings and a women, didn’t get the name both trying to say the most defamatory things about Boris, trying to outdo each other with the worse things they can get away with. This is only the start of a gradual parade of victriolic outbursts by sad, bitter remoaners.
Has anyone else googled BBC bias today? I do this regularly and this site appears usually on the first page in the top 5 or 6 spots. However today it has turned up on page 2 of the results. Some of the new results taking page 1 up are either very old or fake claims that the BBC are right wing conservative leaning.
Has the head honcho at the Beeb had a word with Mr Google to get some damage limitation?
Do they really think we can’t read between the lines?
Anybody think that Boris is vague about getting out on 31 Oct and about using May’s deal with the backstop amended, just to win enough MPs to get to the last two.
Then he can safely say we’re leaving, no deal, on 31 Oct to win the members vote.
I truly thought this was a joke when I first heard it. No MSM including our “Worlds Most Trusted” reporting. I wonder why that is? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kBHiQaxrP8
What is going on. The craziness continues. I suppost that’s what comes of having a muslim Home Secretary totally supportive of islamisation and sharia. What can we do? Urgently.
We’ll not get rid of the muslims until we get rid of those in positions of power who are bringing them into our country and giving them protected status. The most dangerous of these people are probably in the Civil Service, the police and the judiciary. I think the MPs are mainly sock puppets rather than key players.
The Conservatives just don’t get it do they! Immigration was one of the main reasons people wanted out of the EU. So that we could secure our borders and control immigration.
Are they completely insane?
They’re as bad as Labour for letting in more and more immigrants.
We really need a reset. The Conservatives need to go.
just sack Rob Burley and the Mantis!! ..oh hang on..someone’s in my earpiece telling me it’s “2 for the price of 1” on surnames tonight to celebrate Boris’s success this afternoon.
6:08pm Local itv news 3 minute item on the ‘air pollution crisis”
claims
..2,500 deaths in our area
5% of deaths are due to air pollution
2 Sheffield train platforms constitute the eighth most polluted place in Britain.
..Amazing claim, cos I sure the air is cleaner than in the golden age of steam.
Then live coverage of XR protesters singing in the street.
Other dramatic claims were made.
… but AFAIK its all public relations trickery .. with added “think of the children” emotional blackmail
The UN limits are basically made-up numbers and engine tech means each new decade of engines is cleaner than the last.
“BBC News has welcomed Chris Gibson as acting futures editor. Chris was previously an assistant editor for BBC World Service. He tweets @ChrisGibsonNews.”
Anyone know what a ‘futures editor’ is or does? Sounds expensive.
Reading through the usual guff, I realised that there was no mention of the BBC actually delivering real news, which they don’t do, and whether the general public are being offered an unbiased approach, especially as they are funded by the very citizens who pay their wages.
Dover, that’s the answer to ‘9 Down’ in the DT crossword!
“What happens in a near-final vote, to a bloke who ‘says it all’, then runs away, then tries to get back, then buggers up the interviews, then tries to make amends, then gets booted up the bum by tactical voting” 4, 4.
Actually, I don’t reckon the DT would make enough space for that particular clue, but it makes pleasant reading, and a nice interlude while on the throne for one’s early-morning communication with nature…
>Guest.. “Views my own. Shocked I tell you; shocked.”
Indeed..but not as shocked as me..I can assure you.
I looked at this website today which I have seen referenced since the BBC debate’s “anti-Israel imam thing”. It’s called Media Guido and has some interesting pieces on it.
Well I scrolled down from the top..as you do.. and now I see that an hour or so ago someone posted a photograph suggesting that Mantis is NOT the natural blonde that I had always taken her for! (I have to admit that I am pretty old and my vision is not really up to snuff ).
Another (lady) commenter posted that there may be some sort of dyeing involved. I’m not sure she (Mantis if it be she) is fair game in that situation or whether or not the photo is genuine (what do my kids call it?..”photoshopped” I think they said)
However, having looked closely at her parting with my reading glasses on I think I now know what she means…those roots!
An early night after a mug of Horlicks for me I think..though it’s still light.. being the solstice tomorrow an’all. I hope this is all a horrid dream brought on by the excitement of the BBC being called out fair and square.
Sadly my “Emmaline” ..no more! ..still a great song tho’:
Turned on the BBC news channel at 7.30pm to catch up on the Tory leadership election, only to slam the “off” button within seconds.
All I heard was the presenter telling us that the next stage of voting would be undertaken by people who were mostly aged over 55 and, shock horror, “predominately white”.
They never let it rest, do they? So in a predominantly white country they choose to use this as another stick to beat the Tory party.
And while we’re at it, if the biased, incompetent BBC ever gets to host another leadership debate, here are a few topics that I suggest they might cover (now that alleged Islamaphobia and climate change topics have been done to death).
1. As PM what are you going to do about industrial scale abuse of white girls by Muslim rape gangs?
2. As PM what are you doing to do about knife murders by black gangs?
3. As PM how will you stand up to a broken, undemocratic, expansionist EU suprastate?
4. As PM how will you power up the north of England and deliver a truly inclusive, cohesive and balanced U.K. economy?
5. As PM, will you consider scrapping the BBC licence fee?
Yes – they really are pushing up anger levels . And then they innocently wonder why people are angry . Will come as a shock when / if it boils over if we are sold out on brexit again .
I just hope bojo turns out to be a Conservative and or does a deal with The Brexit Party .
Have no fear for The Brexit Party are waiting in the sidelines ready to step in if Boris reneges on his promise to get out of the EU on Halloween . It will be the end of the Tory party as we know it .
Boris was one of the first Tory MPs to spot Al Beeb’s Anti-Brexit Bias.
The bbbclgtb lot are beginning their sickness and diarrhoea episodes, as they watch their hopes for the future start to crumble…
How on earth will they cope with two great blokes getting together to make the UK great and independent from the disaster of the EU, while they have to seek ‘interviews’ with ol’ Joe Corribin and his tired old mates!
What a shame Vince is retiring, as they need another futile gesture at this time in their eventual demise!
>Fedup..I seriously believe the solid matter will hit the air-conditioning if we are sold out again. I think “they” know that . I really do hope so …or Macron’s Paris will be there for you on the a street somewhere nearby.

The boys and girls will be monitoring ‘ critical ‘ sites to gauge the likelihood of criminal action – as well – of course – of pulling the plug on sites like this in accordance with ‘ community safety ‘ .
Worth a read if only to show that the BBC is capable of writing the truth, the sad thing is that they can only manage this when the writer is a Muslim man. If anyone white had written this they would have stood no chance of it being published with every ism or fauxbia the Fascist left could dream up.
This excerpt gives you a flavour of it:
“One of the worst things I heard was that some people justified selling drugs because their customers weren’t Muslim. “In the Hadith [a major source of religious law and moral guidance for Muslims] it pretty much says that if they’re not Muslim you don’t have to respect them,” a dealer, who knew Yassar, told me. “You don’t have to do for them as you do for your brothers and sisters ‘cos they’re people not of God.”
When I asked the people I met about the morality of dealing drugs, over and over again I heard the same pathetic excuse: “They’re going to buy it from somewhere so it might as well be me.” Their lack of empathy made me sick. The quasi-justifications and references to religion seemed to just be a cover for greed. The human cost of dealing was ignored.”
Orwell shed some light on how power works but it didn’t change anything .
Trying to ‘ game’ a foreseeable future give me a head ache but I like to try . Things cannot carry on as they are .
Maybe something out side the ‘ normal ‘ will cause a major change – and with a bit of luck / for the better . If it’s worse we’ll all be in re education camps …
Fed,
“……we’ll all be in re education camps….or, more likely the muslims will be engaged en masse to quietly dispose of any old people they find around town.
By the way – London has it 6 murders in 6 days . The latest one was apparently not too far from Fed land – a tent with 2 men in it set alight – one dead one serious ….the Mayor will have a headache by now doing all that ‘thoughts’ are with the victim crap.
The Guardian names the various victims – very diverse .
And a 17 year old was convicted of murdering a 15 year old diverse boy. The 17 year old cannot be named in case it harms his future ….
“The Bank of England has said it expects economic growth to be flat in the second quarter of the year.” https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48702758
Has Carney got it wrong again? Who employed this guy ?
More tales of enrichment: a gang of 4 girls (we know what that’s code for) attacked an Egyptian girl who went into a coma and died weeks later.
According to the judge the 4 were spared detention because the court should ‘avoid criminalising young people unnecessarily’ and the teenagers could only be sent to custody as ‘a last resort’.
I wonder if there was another reason, and I wonder if 4 white girls had attacked an Egyptian girl the court would have been so lenient.
Four white girls would perhaps have received a more harsh sentence, but four white guys would have received the most harsh of all, with sentences totalling 10 year a piece probably.
No doubt they would be deliberately incarcerated in a muslim infested prison.
The good news would be that having been given a 10 year sentence, they will serve no more than a year
The bad news is that they’ll be carried out in a box, a la Kevin Crehan.
There was some talk today that tv debates planned to be done by al beeb are to be suspended by the candidates for PM because of the Maitlis car crash job .
I can’t see this – however much any politician would dread spending time alone with Brillo . Both will have to promise to get us out of the Reich by 32 October because the conservative membership are actually Right Wing and have heard and seen enough of this red nonsense babbled out by the likes of May , Rudd , Hammond and the rest of the anti british traitors who should be sharing a bench with chukka and Soubry — where did that idiot go ?
My local paper reports three churches in East Londonistan have been subject to arson attacks – West Ham , Stratford and Leytonstone ….
…. I’m sure the thoughts of the Emir are with …..
And so, on to Question Time, and the heckling, howling, jeering audience applauds the constant Boris bashing – “he’s a racist”, “he’s homophobic” etc etc. Slanderous comments, blatant lies, never challenged by the headmistress Bruce, given another platform by the BBC.
Boris can be judged by his cabinet and his advisors when he selects them .
Does he recruit Leavers or Remainers? and does he include the man who knows the EU inside and out , top and bottom – Nigel Farage?
He would also be advised to install a ‘hotline’ to President Trump and finally , finally put an end to his newfound, arch enemy, Al Beeb.
Boris are you reading this ? Al Beeb’s researchers are.
Can’t see how they managed to read your post and organise the QT audience within the timescale Pugz, but it seems to be working. Mind you with an audience from Tottenham the job’s a lot easier.
QT blacks getting upset that politicians cant get blacks to stop stabbing blacks, I look at the audience , i hear their cries of pain , and I repeat to myself DIVERSITY IS OUR STRENGTH
First you put out the fire then you can deal with the causes. But the progressive elite will not do that so our police are helpless. It is disgraceful.
I decided this morning when R4 was put on to torture me..that a lot of BBC reporting now is not news but hearsay and gossip interspersed with the occasionally fact.
Talking about Trump – Iran they had a whole section where essentially they speculated and, suggested but admitted they didn’t know..and this went on for ages..then Jon says ah yes but the NYT has a record for getting these things right..as if to give more credibility to gossip…point to Blacken Trump (Fake news?)
Then the Tory ‘rigging’ so Johnson could stuff Gove – really and so what? Again no evidence just ‘sources’…with a secret ballot..another non story to paint Boris Black..
Taking anything from the NYT is foolish. It has been conducting an anti-Trump campaign for years now, and will have a team searching for any piece of information that can be doctored to blacken his name.
They may have got this, or some of this right, but I would treat it the same as info from Lord Haw Haw in 1940, as far as impartiality and accuracy goes.
Toady
Much made of mark field MP escorting a lady protester out of a speech . The way the BBC reports it he brutally attacked her .
One of the thickest labour MP s – dawn ‘black woman innit ‘ butler – instantly calls for resignation .
But seeing the incident on the internet shows a firm but fair escorting holding your lady’s neck . Any where else could have turned it into ‘indecent assault ‘.
This was a security failure because bodyguards should have sorted the incident out – but the `bBC isn’t taking this line …
A no-win for the Tories, cynically exploited by activists who know full well how the media will react, ignoring any past events and supposed equality standards.
Handbags can hold a lot. Trust me, I have had to hold one.
I would dearly love to hear from the head of security at any major broadcaster what the correct response should be these days.
This is the headline the BBC need to distract from the ‘debate’ debacle and the licence fee protests…
But honestly – does anyone think he was wrong – only the bloody liberal left…I thought 1. where was the security 2. he handled it well 3. why didn’t she leave rather than pushing back at him
Now if it had been a man…maybe he could have hit him like Prescott did..and got a round of applause…but that is left equality – it’s a woman so he is a nasty bully of a man…
She could have had mace, a gun a knife..but the left will say ‘oh just look at her, of course she didn’t’ Well that is what they thought about the Manchester bomber – oh he is just a young man with a rucksack..
What did honest Imam say to Boris ‘admit words have consequences’ – well so do actions – hers! F***ing double standards and hypocrisy of left again
Up2
Just cut out the radio and write ‘BBC doesn’t like bojo “ and the next long 3 ?weeks is done . Then switch into ‘needs to be a general election for weeks and weeks ….
Meanwhile – trouble in the finance industry with the Woodford funds close to failing – with not much coverage by the BBC . I’m not a combatant in the issue because I don’t believe in giving my money to some one else and l pay them to lose it ….
Fed, better to give it away beyond that which is truly essential. Buy influence 😉 where it really counts, eh? ‘Lay up for yourthelf treathures in heaven where rutht and moth doth not corrupth’ – or even – ‘lay up for yourself treasures in heaven where rosti and muffti does not corrupt.’
BBC moaning emole has the lot… accused of… assaulting… MANhandling… Labour calls for… sacking.

Greenpeace accuses minister of ‘assault’
The drama in UK politics is not restricted to claims of tactical voting in the Conservative leadership contest.
Environmental campaign group Greenpeace has accused Foreign Office minister Mark Field of assaulting a female activist by manhandling her out of a black-tie City event. Mr Field – who apologised, saying he thought she might have been armed and reacted “instinctively” – has referred himself to the Cabinet Office for investigation. Labour is calling for the minister to be sacked.
Was it just me or did the BBC give the impression that all vaccination is completely safe and without any risk? If so, please let me know if you heard this item just before the 7a.m. mark.
pug, the great danger that became obvious with the subversion of democracy by some politicians and some of their supporters following the EU Referendum is that it inevitably leads to mob rule.
We have now reached that point.
We are decivilising in this country and returning to a state prior to the sixteenth century where private armies and mobs, with clubs, knives and swords, held as much sway as the rule of the Crown and civil government.
Blair, Campbell, Cable and Heseltine and people like that are responsible for this decline and the state we are in. The BBC have aided them and continue to do so.
Toady is going at it with gusto: Webb draws in Mark Carney and GATT as the latest spearhead of Project Fear.
A new line of attack why Brexit can’t be done…
WHEN, WHEN are BoJo and Hunt going to return fire at the BbC?
Or are we going to have weeks of beeb free to broadcast anti-Tory propaganda, and undermine BoJo, pretending it’s ‘news’.
Bishop Richard Harris uses ‘Thought for the Day’ to demand that the new PM have the same qualities as ST Paul.
fnw, I listened to TftD and found myself thinking about what Richard Harries did not say about St Paul [ real name Saul of Tarsus 😉 ] : he took an immense amount of stick (and still does) from all sorts of people, even among some believers.
Funny, I thought.
I thought, funny.
That has some contemporary echoes. Now, what does it bring to mind? “Oh! Hallo, Lord Hall. You were not weasily recognisable lurking in there in the overgrowth of Broadcasting House.”
‘Protesters’ (terrorists?) invade a function and try to take it over. When someone tries to defend the legitimate meeting against unknown invaders, Toady sees another chance to make an anti-Tory story run out of control. Could you get a Cons MP to be a violent nutcase who attacks women? On Toady you can.
The invaders were ‘peaceful’. Yeah, right. The protestor, says Webb, had ‘the right to walk where she was walking’.
Wonder what he would say if someone took over his studio?
Oh yes, every right to walk around in there..
Unfortunately the idiot has apologised unreservedly, I hear. He has no reason to do so. When someone breaks into a gathering and strides towards the Chancellor you have no idea if she has a bomb, knife or acid. You act first and ask questions later.
Roland – you are quite right. Why admit guilt when it is you who are being attacked? But we know that the media are going to turn this into an assault on wimmin story.
Presumably the proof that the protestors were ‘peaceful’ is that they weren’t actually carrying Kalashnikovs.
Totally turgid Toady was given a wonderful break from the torridness by Jonathan Dimbleby, possibly with the help of a computer or phone and some hilarious predictive text.

Well, that’s something – two people agreeing.

TOADY Watch #8

I think Blighty is a bit better positioned because of the amount to tax receipts coming in being above expectation – but that’s brexit for you .

There, I’ve created Carney’s main reasons for getting it wrong!

I find it worrying that Osborne should back Boris.
Is he trying to double bluff the membership or does he know something?

More tales of enrichment: a gang of 4 girls (we know what that’s code for) attacked an Egyptian girl who went into a coma and died weeks later.
According to the judge the 4 were spared detention because the court should ‘avoid criminalising young people unnecessarily’ and the teenagers could only be sent to custody as ‘a last resort’.
I wonder if there was another reason, and I wonder if 4 white girls had attacked an Egyptian girl the court would have been so lenient.

Blimey riley , that’s a big old unit !!!. If she says it’s Tuesday, it’s Tuesday !!!!!

And so, on to Question Time, and the heckling, howling, jeering audience applauds the constant Boris bashing – “he’s a racist”, “he’s homophobic” etc etc. Slanderous comments, blatant lies, never challenged by the headmistress Bruce, given another platform by the BBC.

Boris needs to hold his nerve and come back at them like Trump does. He has a lot more support than he probably knows.

‘Tactical Voting’ claims in Tory leader poll.
Barks the headline. Aka ‘Look see, the Tories do it too so stop going on about the Peterborough vote rigging’.

And yes, Dawn shaping up nicely as the new Di.

Meanwhile – trouble in the finance industry with the Woodford funds close to failing – with not much coverage by the BBC . I’m not a combatant in the issue because I don’t believe in giving my money to some one else and l pay them to lose it ….

Labour is calling for the minister to be sacked.

pug, the great danger that became obvious with the subversion of democracy by some politicians and some of their supporters following the EU Referendum is that it inevitably leads to mob rule.
The BBC have aided them and continue to do so.

fnw, I listened to TftD and found myself thinking about what Richard Harries did not say about St Paul [ real name Saul of Tarsus 😉 ] : he took an immense amount of stick (and still does) from all sorts of people, even among some believers.
