The Guardian has dragged out another old German born EUrophile out of his coffin.

“Uwe Kitzinger worked as an adviser to Winston Churchill’s son-in-law Christopher Soames from 1973 to 1975,
when Lord Soames became the first British vice-president of the European commission.”

“Kitzinger attended the People’s Vote march in London on Saturday and believes the public are now better informed to make a choice.”

““I do not see how the question of sovereignty over the issue of Europe can be settled without the people of this country having a say, now that they are much better informed, and now that there is actually a proposal,” he told PA.”

We are better informed than ever about the untrustworthy totalitarian EU and the lying traitors who work for the EU throughout Europe.
We had our say in 2016 and have not changed our opinion.

““It is the negation of all I stood for and all I worked for in my career, but that isn’t the important thing.
“The important thing is what happens to my grandchildren, and their children.””

I am very pleased your left wing life has been wasted, your descendants will have to live in the, Europe soon to be at war with Islam, you plotted to bring about. Now FOAD and take Brenda Hale with you.

Well it is Sunday and I am always a litttle more charitable.

LCS, I keep coming back to this ‘being properly informed’ thing.

What are the metrics by which it is decided that we are sufficiently informed? Do we put government on hold until each and every member of the electorate has read the complete works of Aristotle and Bertrand Russell or has the omniscience of a Buddha?

Or do we wait until a few columnists at Guardian HQ declare that they’ve pumped out enough “facts are sacred” commentary into the ether? I think we know the answer, but I’d love to see some benchmarks so we know what to aim for as a target.

Even a pie chart or two would help.

Poor old ‘Dave’. All that money (£6m? £9m?) he spent getting that booklet written, the text checked for accuracy, on the printing of 25 million copies and their delivery to every household in the land at the time he was advocating us to vote Remain

He could have left it to the famous Grauniad, known tor their fotal arcuracy, to do it on his behalf for free.

A shocking piece in the Guardian – never to be echoed by the State Broadcaster about Caroline Flint MP . Now ms flint is a rarity – an honourable Labour MP – she was a remainer – but now campaigns to Leave . Her constituency voted 80% – I’ll repeat that 80% to leave in the referendum .

Now I know these are dumb working class people who didn’t know what they voted for -in fact – why have these plebs got a vote at all ?

The guardian sent a reporter to talk to them – and guess what ? They support Ms Flint and Brexit – even though it seems that they are all better informed about the ‘issues ‘ now .

The comment made in a video put on here about brexiters not being from London and being unwilling to spend a shed load of money getting to and from London to protest is a real one – and one the state broadcaster doesn’t talk about .

Now was there much mention that wealthy luvvies had hired coaches to ship in remainer protesters to Westminster on saturday .

( and before anyone goes off on one about my ‘dumb working class ‘ line – I am one of them – and to abused by a remainer in that way would be a badge of honour

      “A tree holds 250kilos of CO2.”

Must be a massive tree, not a skinny silver birch. Trees absorb most CO2 when young & growing fast, not much when old.

And do I recall an item on the BBC web-site some time back that a researcher has discovered that trees emit methane.

      Oh dear!

“A tree holds about 250KG of CO2 over 100 years
        ie 4 trees/tonne ”
(… false ..cos you forgot to account for the seedlings it creates and new growths
If you leave one tree on land, then after 100 years you might have 10 trees
        Depends on species of course.
I think they were talking about oaks.

Stew, I thought it might be the case that they were being ‘gender specific’, as it were. Didn’t look at your notes as I knew they would be thorough and right on the money.

It just amazes me that the GreenBlob or MentalistEnviros don’t understand trees and forests and growing things the way normal people are taught about them in science classes in school (or used to be taught about them) nor do they respond to and promote scientific research that may not favourably accord with their propaganda.

    Fedup2,

Well, I’ve gone through the thread and I feel for you guys over there as you brace yourselves for the next act of treachery by people who have the gall to regard themselves as righteous and democratic when they are anything but.

While fighting with Windows 10 OS, ‘brainchild’ of the awful Microsoft, I’ve been reminded of the BBC and was thinking of putting up a post about the similarities between them – both unaccountable, unapproachable, monopolistic organisations wallowing in wealth and scornful of the ordinary folk they leech off.

Well, all we can hope for is that there will eventually be justice for the little guy.

I’ve had a really blissful day.
After the trauma of yesterday’s treacherous vote by the house of parasites and the mind numbing endless propaganda by their cheer leaders at The Beeb, I have avoided all contact with the media today. I couldn’t take any more. Seeing those gormless middle class halfwits in their EU hats mincing through London was the last straw.
Yesterday I was stressed and fractious. Today, being Beeb free, I’m smiling and serene.
What is absolutely crystal clear is that this worthless parliament will never vote for Brexit in any meaningful form. They’ll concoct any excuse to prevaricate and to frustrate our democracy. Most of these people are lawyers…loophole finders and liars by nature and job description.
It’s their smug, self righteousness that I despise as much as their dishonesty. They’ll lecture us about the importance of a “people’s vote” while having ignored the largest people’s vote in this country’s long history. And they’re so very pleased with themselves.
Don’t worry, their time will come.
Guy Fawkes Night is only a few weeks away…

May was unable to get any Brexit deal agreed and now the BBC reports that the numbers are there for Boris’s deal.

Where could it all go wrong, I mean right, ie exit on the 31st with no deal?

‘The effect of s13(1) is to require the House of Commons to “say yes” twice to the Withdrawal Agreement, by first approving “the deal” itself and subsequently by passing the Withdrawal Agreement Bill’
    https://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=bd24c5b3-e4f8-4adf-b21e-17e1fd3d2c08

The EU will not grant an extension unless Boris can demonstrate that his WA will pass, or there will be a second referendum or a general election.

Bercow might scupper the MV, Labour are split on the SR and also don’t want a GE until it suits them.

All Boris and ERG have to do is to sink their own agreement? QED
