“South Africa: Inside the township where Siya Kolisi grew up
Celebrations are continuing in South Africa to mark the country’s victory in the Rugby World Cup final against England in Japan.
Nowhere more so than in the township of Zwide, in Port Elizabeth, home of Siya Kolisi, the team’s first black captain”
BBC celebrating with SA.
Anything anti UK, and pro black, the BBC will celebrate.
I search the BBC for “White genocide in South Africa”
Exactly one result.
“South Africa: The groups playing on the fears of a ‘white genocide’”
The BBC is concerned, but not about genocide.
If the BBC was to report on the genocide it would be to celebrate it.
Another celebration, another sports story, currently headlines on BBC news.
BBBC users will know in advance what this celebration is about.
Imagine the BBC stories if England had won the Rugby World Cup final:
“White privilege: How the legacy of apartheid still prevents black South Africans from winning”
‘Why no women and trans players in the England team?”
“Could England’s unfair victory give a boost to xenophobia and racism?”
“Climate change: how many air miles were used in transporting English fans to Japan?”
“Gay rugby players: why are there no movies about it?”
etc. drone. zzzzz…
Whilst watching the match on Saturday the commentator was referring to the “Rainbow Nation” – Ahhhh what a lovely image!
I wonder whether the “rainbow” includes SA farmers under its virtious smile
I think perhaps not
“And after it rains
There’s a rainbow
And all of the colors are black
It’s not that the colors aren’t there
It’s just imagination they lack”
(Paul Simon, lyrics from ‘My Little Town’)
“The appointment of Bristol’s new professor of the history of slavery is a small but encouraging step towards understanding a painful past”
No it is not.
Naturally the new prof is black and female, and is going to beat indigenous Europeans with a big stick.
Because this is not about slavery, it is about slavery by WHITE people, in the past.
Slavery which stopped c200 years ago.
Current slavery, taking place mainly in Africa, will not be in the curriculum or in the Guardian.
Slavery, well one point I must make, wherever and whenever it occurs, slavery is definitely, undeniably, absolutely, NTDWI: so this facet of current slavery will also be absent from the Guardian.
“Police have arrested five members of a far-left extremist group in Milan after they broke into vacant public housing and illegally gave it away to migrants.”
Arrested? Why? It was only vacant housing.
Soon it will be removing Europeans from their own homes to be replaced by invaders.
Thank you Mr Tusk.
So Nigel Farage isn’t going to stand in this election. I wonder why?
It’s because he can do more nationwide campaigning. Yeah right, Nige.
Dare I suggest it may be something to do with the last eight opinion polls which show The Brexit Party with an average of just over ten percent?
In the 2015 election Ukip scored twelve point eight percent of the vote and it still wasn’t enough to win any new seats.
About five weeks out from the 2015 general election Ukip was polling in the high teens. It slowly fells as the day got nearer. Not helped by Farage’s stupid announcement that he would retire from politics if he didn’t win his constituency thereby giving the major parties a huge incentive to make damn sure he didn’t.
If TBP is only polling 10% now unless he has an ace or two up his sleeve then it will be an ‘also ran’ on the day but worse than that if it is seen to have obstructed a Tory victory and thereby letting in a Remainer government. I am not sure there will be much fight left in the voting population to continue the struggle.
Politico has an interesting take on this and points out that the BBC is keen to promote TBP as a way to help secure a Tory defeat. https://youtu.be/vjbZLzxeklM
All the way through the turgid, barely bearable last several months my mind has wandered to a famous quote from Harold Wilson, who said that ‘politics is the art of the possible’.
No deal is not going to happen.
TBP may be the absolutists dream but here is the thing. They are going to come nowhere. They may however create some intended or unintended consequences depending on the uneven-ness of their moderate vote constituency by constituency.
Since the Tories are the only ones likely to deliver any kind of Brexit at all, my suggestion is that we take a deep breath and through gritted teeth support them.
A percentage of something is better than 100% of nothing.
A Boris Brexit would be a remainers dream come true.
The thing they love about the EU is that laws get imposed from Brussels and no-one in Westminster can do anything about it!
A Boris Brexit keeps us as a rule-taker and – even better – removes all anti-EU Brits from the EU councils, what’s not to like!
If we stay in the EU as a full member there is just a chance that we might work-up the Eastern Europeans enough and some day, maybe our childrens’ children will get a chance to get us out properly.
JimS, whilst I may not like a Boris Brexit, I have to ask what a Corbyn Brexit would be like. Actually what a Corbyn Britain would be like and I really really fear it.
This is the same problem we all have at most elections, we are ‘buying’ a package and we might not like all the contents.
Indeed sometimes it is more a case of going for the package that contains less of what we don’t like than what we like.
The 2016 Referendum should have avoided this problem, a simple question, a simple answer, no ‘baggage’. Unfortunately our MPs didn’t want to hear the answer. How do we get ones that did?
Remainers just want to remain full stop. Mainly because they want to win after they lost. They do not want to leave with a deal as the very word leave makes them feel anxious so they just want a full 100%
I’m not voting Tory. It looks like we don’t need remainers at this point. Leavers seem to be on a suicide mission now. How the English are falling into line, just as they have been told to do. To vote Conservative is to join the orderly queue for your own annihilation.
Lucy I still think that despite the leftward tack of the Tories over the past thirty years they are going to allow or promote less immigration than Labour or the LDs. There is no party with any hope of influencing policy which opposes immigration. I am voting Tory because it is the least bad option . I wish there was a party which better represented my views but there isn’t.
Two party politics? Britain is a one party state. It just so happens that the party has several factions and that they use different names, such as Conservative, Labour and LibDem. But the differences stem largely from personality clashes and the policies – mass immigration, global warming, gender and race obsessions, membership of EU, interventionist wars, taxpayer-funded state broadcaster and so on – are the same.
You will not get Corbyn for long, even if he did manage to win. The Blairites would oust him very quickly. Blair is poison at the ballot box so they need the Marxist brothers to do the electoral hard work.
Its really a juxtaposition of when Labour ‘won’ the GLC elections back when Margaret Thatcher was making the UK great again, with Mackintosh at the helm. He was a fairly normal bloke, but swiftly ousted by Livingstone and his commie cronies, and the downward spiral started.
They love scheming, do socialists. It beats having a real job.
Very interesting points actually and he does explain a few things. The BBC obviously see an advantage of TBP standing as ‘it splits the leave vote’ and in a lot of debate groups and Facebook plages I have been on there is a lot of hope from left wingers, some actually leave voters themselves (more causal leavers if anything) the TBP will ‘get rid of the Tories’
Also he points out that by doing a deal with TSP has the disadvantage of pushing the Tory remainers towards the Lib Dems which is why I was always skeptical about a pact and I myself wonder if Labour leave voters who are not pro Corbyn might be more reluctant to vote in TBP if under a pact it would be seen as helping the Tories.
Overall it is a catch 22 situation.
One thing I had noticed during the TBP surge in the polls around the time of the Euro elections was that as they grew so did the Lib Dems mean that Labour remainers who would vote Labour to keep the Tories out where less scared of the Tories but more scared of the hard Brexit supporting Brexit Party. As Boris grew in popularity TBP took a steady decline which meant that the hard Brexit thread was removed enough to have less reliance of the Lib Dems from hard remainers but with the Tories again having a chance that would have spooked enough people against the Tories back to Labour.
Recent opinion polls do show that both the Tories and Labour are gaining votes while the Lib Dems and and TBP are dropping. This election looks like it is back to the old fashioned left against right rather than leave or remain as it was a few moths ago.
Jo Coburn is the BBC’S TV number one liberal bigot ,and that’s
saying something ,amongst a plethora of other political
liberal bigot presenters.
She likes in particular to go after men with
her sarcastic questioning. Maybe because she knows that
if she spoke to women that way she would get a vicious
mouthful returned to her. Most men for either gallantry or
cowardice ,just take it,. Jacob Rees Moss and George Galloway
are two of the very few who have not cowered under her liberal
bigotry and given her replies in which she shows up to what she really is. You can see clips of this on YOU TUBE.
First past the post killed UKIP and it will kill the BP. We saw how well they did under PR in the Euro elections.
I feel Nigel Farage has made a mistake in spreading the BP too thinly. It is a very new party, and the chance of winning even one seat is low. It should have targetted no more than 20 seats and poured its resources into them, hoping to win two or three.
That’s the best a new party like the BP can possibly hope for under FPTP.
I do think that TBP could do well if they focus on a number of seats and poured their energy into those areas. A first election is hard for any party as they would have no idea how things would really go until the results come in. UKIP faced the same issues as they had a lot of support and votes but it never translated into seats with the exception of Paul Nuttall.
The Lib Dems themselves complained about FPTP as that is what shuts them out of power while Blair seemed happy to keep it during his era as it actually benefited him more at the time
“I won’t be able to post on here about BBC bias if I’m not listening to any bias.
Not strictly true. Work on the assumption that all BBC output is biased. You can make a 99% accurate guess about any news item as reported by any outlet, as it would be when filtered through the BBC prism into the various constituent ‘colours’ they love:
1. Globalism
2. Race
3. Migration
4. Islam
5. Wimmin & gender
6. LGBTQWERTY
7. Orange Man Bad
Ian, thanks for the chuckle. Your post reminded me of an FX used by the late Jimmy Young on his BBC show: “What’s the recipe today Jim?” You could guarantee that some of those ingredients will make it into most TOADYs, TWatOs and TWiTs.
Am afraid I like to Exocet my points about BBC bias and errors, so I really do need to listen to some of R4’s output. It is becoming a bit of a trade off between personal well-being and being ‘up’ with the media flow, though. A GE seems to be a good opportunity for time off.
Up2, I’m really the same, in that we never watch any news on the TV, but get all we need to know online from the papers.
Its a dire reflection on the poor output from the state broadcaster, in that we only have our licence because there will have to be a sad day for The Royals, and we would wish to join in our respects, even if it was done by some oik in W1A.
Mind you, I wish I hadn’t watched the rugby on Saturday…
I do however, occasionally listen to R5Dead in the small hours, but their delivery is so awful when it comes to news, just one bulletin is enough!
Otherwise, I always read, and learn from the comments here from people far more eloquent than a humble Scrobs…
Scroblene… the BBC has the power to temporarily remove the need for a TV licence in order to watch what it defines as “an event of national importance”. It did so on the last occasion that there was a ‘sad day for the Royals’ i.e. when Prince Harold married a divorced American TV actress.
Facebook Today: The NHS says don’t use it as “a political weapon” (0710). Mikhail Gorbechev says tension between Russia and the west is putting the world in danger (0750). What has Voyager 2 been doing in interstellar space? (0725)
Amazingly, the Moaning eMole is in lockstep. Only Today can add gobs to ‘enhance the narrative’.
Bet Magic Grampy and the Cuddly Cardi have dispatched some shock troops to nip this assault on their primary scare story in the bud.
As for Micky the Russian, nukes are tricky to put back in the bottle, comrade. You first.
And Voyager? Still nowhere near finding the planet the BBC inhabits. When is the BBC Ark ready, Elon?
Critical question for Republican Party and @realDonaldTrump to decide is the defence to #Impeachment charge. Is it that there was no quid pro quo? Or that there was a quid pro quo, but it doesn’t matter as that is not an impeachable offence
False stories are being reported that a few Republican Senators are saying that President Trump may have done a quid pro quo, but it doesn’t matter, there is nothing wrong with that, it is not an impeachable event. Perhaps so, but read the transcript, there is no quid pro quo!
It’s quite obvious that Trump isn’t saying there might be a quid pro quo. He’s talking about what senators may be saying, and reiterating that there was no quid pro quo and therefore no impeachable event. Sopel knows this, but has an agenda to pursue.
In the corrupt world of the House of Commons today the outgoing MPs are going to vote for the next Speaker . I’ve put money on Hattie Harriet Harmon for championing the Paedophile information Exchange in her NCCL days . Championing perversion seems a job qualification – see The Bercow / Vaz love affair .
So Hattie – former leader of the temp Labour Party -and hard core remainer – will get the job .
Last week – without much publicity – Bercow installed a new lefty chaplain to the commons on the day before he left . I’m surprised it’s a so called Christian . The outgoing one complained about the smell of the rough sleepers in the nearby Tube station . I looked in the gospels to see if Jesus had the same attitude but apparently he didn’t .
It should actually go to Lindsey Hoyle – the dep speaker but the place doesn’t do decency and fairness any more .
The state broadcaster will be in high heaven . I hope I’m wrong .
( if you want to see a wonderfully accurate hatchet epitaph to the last speaker – see the Quentin lets job in the telegraph – no pay wall ).
Yes I think that we would see a return to an orderly and precedent governed HoC if Hoyle got the job. HH will only get it if the Tories aren’t in power after the election. By the way she runs D Abbott and Lammy close for being the most stupid MP.
Fedup2 please!
Did you have to mention “The Bercow / Vaz love affair” …?
i was sitting here quite happily sipping a nice cup of coffee… and then I read that. It’s conjured up all sorts of ghastly images.
Jeff I apologise with reservations . The timing of the release if the inquiry into said Vaz coincided with the end of traitor Bercow s rein of terror last week .i wonder if the inquiry into Bercow and his alleged bullying of his own staff will also take over 1100 days to cover up / investigate . ?
As for the imagery I may have created – for all we know it may be nearer to the truth than ‘some’ might find comfortable .
Having seen too much of Bercow of the Parliament channel one might speculate on whether is conduct is ‘natural’ or whether he might be on medicines of some kind .
We ll be treated this afternoon to the sight of Harriet Harmon being ‘dragged ‘ to the speakers chair …. they could have at least had the decency to allow the new MPs to select the chair in the next government – whatever colour it might be .
It’s a measure of their lack of confidence in Labour being elected and their desperation to continue the ‘Modernisation’ of Parliamentary procedure, thus blocking Brexit.
I see nothing wrong with a LGBT TV media channel. It can also
include as much diversity in it as it likes. For that matter all
the news presenters can be women. It can just cover live sports
such as netball. It can have dance programmes where only
couples of the same sex dance together. It’s just that I
don’t think I should have to pay £176 a year for something
I don’t personally want to watch.
Yes but you can be certain that Corbyn will not require the BBC forgo the revenue but will pay for it out of general taxation. So we would then be paying even more towards the foul BBC which is in the vanguard of liberal left’s drive to destroy our country.
Of course what the deceivers won’t explain is that if the racist far-left bbc moved to a subscription based funding model then all of us, including people over the age of 75, could watch all the free to air channels without any fear of persecution by Crapita and it would cost the government; ie we the taxpayers; nothing.
“In August, Plaid Cymru did not field a candidate in the Brecon and Radnorshire by-election after entering a pact with the Liberal Democrats and Green Party to avoid splitting the remain vote. The seat was won by Lib Dem Jane Dodds,”

Has Al Beeb let the cat out of the bag?
If Boris want to be PM and really wants to lead the UK to independence , he knows what he and his party has to do.
R4 – misfortune to click on Wimmins hour talking to Dame Mirren
what a load of tosh….the presenter is constantly pushing the anti men line – apparently men in the film industry support each other but women don’t do it so well…and this is men’s fault why?
What is it with these presenters that they have to constantly promote anti men attitudes and the down trodden female? To be fair Dame Mirren didn’t jump on the band wagon and was quite balanced…
I believe that a matriarchy is being forced onto us by stealth; in fact has been for decades.
Sooner or later men are going to have to push back on it and restore the correct order of things.
What always strikes me, is how the beeb -constantly vigilant for any little thing that might even hint at inequality of any kind- finds it A/OK to have a wimmins hour, but no men’s hour, on R4 -every single day!!!
Blatant inequality? In your face? I personally don’t even feel the need for a men’s hour, but what’s fair for the goose ….etc etc. I won’t even mention the fact that -if you listen carefully- women are now predominant in almost all programmes, both as ‘hosts’ and as ‘guests’.
Perhaps beeb should confine their search for ‘inequalities’ to very close to home for a while?
Let’s see if they stumble across anything.
So South Africas’ fabulous win against the evil English will bring their country closer together. For a start no it won’t. Well not for more than a fortnight anyway. Secondly, i don’t give a fly fug anyway.
And Lewis Hamilton is a fabulous British sportsman say the beeb.
Trouble is he is a tax dodging spoilt childish bratt with a mid atlantic accent who i just don’t like however many times they tell me to.
There, i’ve said it.
A teenager who is against Corbyn? Better keep that one quiet!
Even more shocking is that his father is ex Labour now voting for Boris!
Keep this one very quiet!
I do love the way the guy laughs though as he holds up the piece of paper. A typical lad and if I see him around in a couple of years when he is old enough then I would buy him a drink!
Again Corbyn signs p to something he has not read !
Good luck with future Trade negotiations.
Then we have got the non reading Abbopotimus who
will be responsible for the defence of this country and its subjects.
FRIGHTENING.
The Independent trumpeting….(My observations in brackets)
So, allow us just a moment to consider the role and responsibility of The Independent in all that is to follow. We take this seriously because we know you do. Here are our own pledges, made to you, our readers, about how we will cover the election.
Our seven election promises to you, the Independent reader
During this six-week election campaign, we guarantee that our coverage will be guided by our values and principles of fairness, balance and accuracy. We’ll still share opinion polls – but we’ll expose politicians’ untruths and fight fake news too. (As long as they are leave politicians!)
(I pick out 4 for special attention which show how they really think!)
2. We believe the UK must learn from the inequalities that led us towards Brexit. (Voters were wrong – Remain Biased)
4. Evidence and rational debate are to be highly valued, especially given the rise of populism. (Remain people are populists – BAD people!)
6. We stand by our campaign to give the people a Final Say on Brexit. We still believe that a general election, whatever the result, is not the clearest way to settle the question of our membership of the European Union. As with all our campaigns, any news stories or analysis linked to the Final Say campaign will be clearly labelled. (Very Remain Biased, Lets have a re-run 17.4 million were ignorant and very wrong!)
7. We will report opinion polls, and will do so prominently if they are interesting enough. (They mean interesting Remain Biased Polls)
Has anyone read anything from Tom Peck in the Independent. Such a childish writer. Always pro Corbyn/ Boris bashing yet most of his articals sound like ‘Boris is rubish. Really rubish. Very rubish. Corbyn should win the next GE because Johnson is so very rubish’
I guess he is waiting for the BBC to offer him a job
BBC staff spending 24hrs per day, 7 days per week now looking at every single Tory candidates social media for any little indiscretion. 5 years ago this one !!!
Gower Tory candidate apologises for 2014 Facebook post, saying her "language was unacceptable" https://t.co/mIRklsUbSK
Perhaps I am wrong but isn’t Jess Phillips the one who goes on and on and cries about people sending nasty tweets?
Perhaps she needs to have a word with herself and report herself to the relevant authorities. That is not the language we expect from a delicate wallflower.
From the same article the truly distressing can be found,
“Karolin Hakim, a doctor, was carrying her young child when she was gunned down. As she was lying on the ground, the shooter put a bullet in her head. Her baby is now in a government protection programme.”
Old
Anyone remember when POTUS said – take a look at Sweden and everyone jumped on him – well maybe they should have listened..won’t hear anything on BBC about this..wonder why?
Apparently a year to the day until President Trump is re elected . I hope the state broadcaster is making arrangement s for ‘ specialist support and counselling ‘ for its snowflakes and that they won’t get access to sharp instruments ….
No doubt the Swedish authorities will continue to crack down hard on the terrible crime… of reporting the ethnicity and religion of violent gang members.
Hilarious
R4 Sarah Montague pushing the ex head of NHS (standing as a Liberal) on private companies providing services to NHS – he is batting back all of her bias ….she just stops and tries another way of looking for a sound bite. She wasn’t happy at the end – a case of somebody who knew his stuff and wasn’t afraid to say she was wrong and that Labour choose to use the NHS as a political weapon…
Fedup
That is one of the points he made – and also shut her down my saying the NHS was set up by Nye Bevan as public private organisation and all that matters is that the patients get good service…the main point being that the Labour party twist facts and the BBC are happy to promote them…
I think the BBC thought he is standing as a Liberal so he will agree with us…wrong!
I’ve had a nice week free of R5 but thought I’d dip in again this morning:
— Author of the book ‘How To Have Feminist Sex’ is on. Naturally she’s a) a Buzzfeed editor, b) a lesbian with orange hair, and c) given lots of airtime with Emma Barnett to talk porn and something called ‘the pube commandments’. All before 11am.
— Nihal now talking about racism from patients towards NHS staff (i.e. immigrant doctors).
— Next up is author of ‘The Education of an Idealist’. Naturally she’s a) a woman, b) used to be Obama’s human rights adviser and c) thinks Trump is bad. Publisher’s blurb: “a distinctly American journey from immigrant to war correspondent to presidential Cabinet official.”
Bubble? Wot bubble?
—
Just checked R5’s remit: “… the service should have an accessible tone and wide range of subject matter…” My boiler manual gives a wider range of subject matter than R5.
This wilfully misleading. The BBC is not claiming anything of the sort it is REPORTING what is being said by NHS Providers about the NHS as a political issue. Aaron knows this perfectly well because he is a able to read. Stop lying. https://t.co/F6eoCUBPay
“In 2019-20, we expect central government departments to spend £312.2 billion on the day-to-day (’current’) running costs of public services, grants and administration. This is 37 per cent of public spending. The biggest items are health (£130.1 billion), education (£63.5 billion) and defence (£29.0 billion). This spending is subject to multi-year limits set by the Treasury – known as ‘Resource Departmental Expenditure Limits’ or ‘RDEL’.”
So health spending is 42% of 37% or 15.4% of the total.
I have nothing against female economists. They should be naturally gifted for the subject. I do object to one who has her facts all wrong, however, and talks over anyone presenting the slightest difference in viewpoint. Such is Ann Pettifor.
Sarah had a hard time controlling her and letting Andrew Sentence get an edge in wordways. I hadn’t noticed that he had had left PwC so the BBC have informed me of something, just like they used to in the good old days.
After listening to Ann unleashed, the next item started with the Wee Hen in full flow. Well, it seemed like her but it may have been The Sweater, instead. No matter. I had to exercise the OFF Switch for the sake of my hearing and general well-being.

“Make Britain a Fairer Society”
Rest of page is their reporter’s opinion piece” Social Care Crisis”
BBC muscled in on local news, so papers closed.
So the BBC agreed instead of sanctions it would fund a pool of local reporters to monitor courts etc.
But now BBC is calling for general businesses to donate.
“BBC asks private sector to subsidise local reporters scheme”, to safeguard democracy
(what could possibly go wrong?)”
The BBC’s malign influence in every aspect of life is insidious.
I took issue with a local paper whose usual fare is fetes and football matches, but suddenly they were promoting every idiot XR effort going.
So I challenged claims and it spiralled from there. All of a sudden the Editor and ‘journalist’ complement was boosted by byline names I had never heard before expanding the nonsense county-wide.
I asked who these new ‘staff’ were, and eventually dug out they are ‘Democracy and local government’ ‘reporters’ pooled and funded by… the BBC.
I understand the surgeon is trying to make an honest point that British Asians need to exercise more
but he himself tweets the news story that its about single-sex gyms
I would guess that very few white people vulnerable to knee problems use gyms.
I guess they just stay fit by walking
My call for action to improve health/fitness & reduce knee/bone problems in Asian people in UK covered by @itvnewshttps://t.co/C8tBwg3Uvm
SG,
I’m sure Boris’ Government will happily rush to fill the gap in single sex gyms complements of the British taxpayer. It being our favoured religious minority and all…………………
It sounds like more special pleading for people who don’t want to adapt to our way of life but expect us to adapt to theirs – and pay for the privilege.
(We know who these ‘Asians’ are. In my fitness centre, plenty of Indian and other Asian women, but no veiled ones.)
Is the rest of the population treated equally with Grenfell residents ?
£50m, mainly on legal help seems very high
The Grenfell Tower Inquiry has released it's expenditure so far – so far it's cost £40.2 million. 47% of that has been spent on legal expenses for the firms representing core participants including bereaved, survivors and residents pic.twitter.com/XCHNRamkFJ
Looks like Lindsey Hoyle to be the next speaker . I will lose 2 Guineas as I put in a pessimist vote for Hattie at 3/1 .
For those who don’t know – when mr Hoyle was deputy speaker last week he killed off the insane attempts to give the vote to foreigners who are EU passport holders as well as 16 year olds.
Sanity might return . I understand he was the only candidate to have not declared a brexit preference – as it should be .
I don’t think Traitor Bercow will be happy if he gets it . Another good thing .
A better Labour I think. Hopefully if he keeps neutral he will not pander to the trouble makers. Shame he was not speaker before and we could have avoided more than half the stunts that Bercow allowed
p
I look forward to the “debates”.
Swinson and Corbyn have not got a clue and it shows, even when they are being spoon-fed by Mateless and her mates.
Boris only has to attend to trounce them.
An amazingly biased interview with someone called ‘David King’ on Radio 4 PM this evening. There were no questions put to him regarding proof of his carbon based climate change alarmism.
He was allowed to praise Labour and attack the Tories, and at the end he even said he would be voting Labour or Green.
How bad does the bias have to get before this cowardly useless incompetent Tory bunch off assholes sit up from their troughs and take notice let alone do something?
That is a good question but if any party dared to claim that they where going to challenge the BBC then watch them be challenged back.
The thing is a lot of the public or at least those who do not follow Brexit fully would see little bias as they will just not notice. It is not because they are stupid or anything but not everyone seems to pick up on these things.
A pledge to take on the BBC might sound good to some people but others will not see it as a vote winner so once again no party seems to be willing to raise it.
I think that for now it is best to let the BBC kill themsleves off first
As a septuaj – septimuw – septimal – seventytwo year old, the dire BBC is rapidly marginalising itself into ‘pap watchers’, and normal people who just ignore what they say or do.
‘Pap watchers’ eventually grow up, so as we all get older and become octagons – octagonals – eighty-somethings, the fat tax they screw from the general public will undoubtedly be scrutinised more, and eventually abolished.
By then, I will be a nonto – nonplussed – nonentity!
Scrob
I’m overseas at the mo but normally get Uk TV . I screwed up the satellite settings so can’t get TV at all . Once upon time this would have meant a lot .
But the combo of DVDs and amazon prime means I can watch TV without any lefty bias . I get my news from twitter .
I’m sure younger types are more honed than me and it’s common practice not to bother with poor UK TV .
Whilst I agree that abusive behaviour to hospital staff is not acceptable I see this could end in tears.
For instance if a patient with an undiscovered mental condition is ejected and subsequently dies of their untreated condition be it drugs or brain disfunction etc. could it lead to court action and massive compensation claims from their family.
They really need to think this through a bit more….
Don’t the notices on railway stations saying “We will not tolerate abuse of our staff” make you want to push them under a train? The same is true mutatis mutandis of notices in hospitals.
If anyone is interested in the level of propaganda being taught in our schools, this 14 minutes video is an eye opener; or rather it was for me.
If all these white hating commies aren’t removed from teaching posts, particularly the head teachers, our next few generations of indigenous children are going to exterminate themselves:
They missed out the bit about a time delay so that output can be put through Labour Party HQ for approval .
I wonder if the state broadcaster high command will have champagne on ice ready for the Labour/illiberal victory they are scheming for ?
Also, the description for stage 3 of the SALCO pipeline is incomplete. It currently reads:
“generate a graphic for each story that summarises the data in the BBC’s house style”
when it should say:
“generate a graphic for each story that summarises the data in the BBC’s house style i.e. with a gratuitous picture of an ethnic minority person provided by Getty Images”
What did young folk do before there was BBC Newsbeat and their bbc information and “education”.
“Josh is 17 and came out as transgender 18 months ago. He’s had the support of his friends, family, school and trans charity Mermaids during his transition so far.

This is a ‘strawman’ argument by the BBC because –
“The immigrants were later referred to as “the Windrush generation”. … Since these people had a legal right to come to the UK, they neither needed nor were given any documents upon entry to the UK, nor following changes in immigration laws in the early 1970s.”
One has to go to the bottom of the Wiki entry to find that it Labour who created the ‘problem’.
“The only official records of the arrival of many “Windrush” immigrants in the 1950s through to the early 1970s were landing cards collected as they disembarked from ships in UK ports. In subsequent decades, these cards were routinely used by British immigration officials to verify dates of arrival for borderline immigration cases.[117] In 2009, those landing cards were earmarked for destruction as part of a broader clean up of paper records. The decision to destroy was taken under the last Labour government”

“The Guardian view on the history of slavery: much to be learned”

Lucy I still think that despite the leftward tack of the Tories over the past thirty years they are going to allow or promote less immigration than Labour or the LDs. There is no party with any hope of influencing policy which opposes immigration. I am voting Tory because it is the least bad option . I wish there was a party which better represented my views but there isn’t.

I think that we are going back to two party politics again.
It is not just a case of who you want to win a GE but who you want to keep out and the Corbyn factor is scaring a lot of people.
The Lib Dems are dipping as well so no doubt Labour have a more clear run with the BBC behind them all the way!

Just going to add after watching the video.

Not strictly true. Work on the assumption that all BBC output is biased. You can make a 99% accurate guess about any news item as reported by any outlet, as it would be when filtered through the BBC prism into the various constituent ‘colours’ they love:
1. Globalism

4. Islam

BBC staff spending 24hrs per day, 7 days per week now looking at every single Tory candidates social media for any little indiscretion. 5 years ago this one !!!
Maybe they should take a peek at someone like, Jess Phillips twitter feed !! You know, for balance and all that.

Perhaps I am wrong but isn’t Jess Phillips the one who goes on and on and cries about people sending nasty tweets?
Perhaps she needs to have a word with herself and report herself to the relevant authorities. That is not the language we expect from a delicate wallflower.

No one questions that doctors are on employment contracts with the NHS which mean they are not directly employed by the state .
My knowledge is limited but the mad PFI contracts do more damage to their NHS than anything other than the pension pot .
The socialists really can’t accept pharma companies making a profit .

The OBR says:
“In 2019-20, we expect central government departments to spend £312.2 billion on the day-to-day (’current’) running costs of public services, grants and administration. This is 37 per cent of public spending. The biggest items are health (£130.1 billion), education (£63.5 billion) and defence (£29.0 billion). This spending is subject to multi-year limits set by the Treasury – known as ‘Resource Departmental Expenditure Limits’ or ‘RDEL’.”
So health spending is 42% of 37% or 15.4% of the total.

TWatO Watch #1 – Wimmin Economists

All explained, not excused.

That’s a sound comment, Smoogs.

The BBC report a Bristol health trust throwing out abusive patients without treatment.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-50286473
Whilst I agree that abusive behaviour to hospital staff is not acceptable I see this could end in tears.
For instance if a patient with an undiscovered mental condition is ejected and subsequently dies of their untreated condition be it drugs or brain disfunction etc. could it lead to court action and massive compensation claims from their family.
They really need to think this through a bit more….

Not getting involved, Drunker and his unelected mates spent c50 million in Ponzi money during and since the referendum.
Accusing Boris of lying is also counterproductive.
