The BBC loves to play the racism card. In this, it clearly mirrors the far left who cry “racist” at every turn.
Take today’s Politics Live, which chose to lead with a discussion was about whether Meghan Markle is being driven out of the U.K. because of alleged racism.
This nonsense is now the BBC narrative, pushed by Labour’s Clive Lewis on Question Time and repeated by another Labour type on Politics Live.
It’s just like the BBC coverage of the supposed racism at a football match a few weeks ago – the allegation led to blanket outrage for days, yet when the allegation turned out to be false there was barely a mention of it. No matter eh, BBC, the damage is done, white football fans have been smeared without apology.
With Meghan there’s never a reference to her white father – the BBC is just intent on providing oxygen to the lie that we are an inherently racist country.
For the last two mornings, it has taken quite literally two seconds from me turning on Radio Scotland until the immortal phrase “climate change” has been uttered.
So who does Stephen Sackur invite on to Hardtalk to discuss the Iranian situation?
Why one Vali Nasr, ex-advisor to Saint O’Bama, who tells him exactly what the beeb want to hear, namely that O’barmy got it all right, and Trump got it all wrong – ignoring the fact that because of O’barmy’s terrible deal billions of embargoed dollars flooded into the evil theocracy’s coffers allowing chief terrorist Qasem Soleimani to spread his malign influence and terrorism throughout the Middle East and beyond.
This kind of bias by choice of ‘experts’ has the advantage that it allows the beeb plausible deniability: it wasn’t us gov, it were ‘im what said it.
Not much on here about last night’s QT – probably because most, like me, turned off after 20 minutes or so. But not before ‘noted historian’ Max Hastings had made his valuable contribution to the Trump-bashing session fuelled by both panel and audience.
The great man went on to imply that the special relationship was a figment of blimpish imagination and that US military backing of UK was historically a series of non-events.
Surprising that a man in his position has apparently never taken the time to stand in silent contemplation on Omaha beach, nor visited the vast cemetery at Coleville nearby.
Hastings is a swamp dweller of the first water. He defends the swamp at every opportunity and naturally therefore hates President Trump but loves Obama et al. In his view giving Iran billions to buy them off from developing a nuclear weapon was a sensible way forward, even though even the dumbest wokist must realise Iranian promises can hardly be relied upon. The billions have probably been spent on building the very thing Obama was hoping to prevent. Appeasement doesn’t work and Hastings must know this well. The question Hastings should ask himself is does he want to live in a world dominated by mad Muslims? If not then he had better sign up to Trump’s America because aside from China it’s the only opposition to the Islamification of the world at present.
BBC getting concerned as to the future of the Erasmus Student Scheme. This is an EU initiative supposedly aimed at giving EU students the opportunity (cash supported) of spending time in other EU universities. (There are billions of EU cash being rammed into this scheme.)
“Some academics have speculated that former Erasmus students will prove to be a powerful force in creating a pan-European identity. The political scientist Stefan Wolff, for example, has argued that “Give it 15, 20 or 25 years, and Europe will be run by leaders with a completely different socialisation from those of today”, referring to the so-called ‘Erasmus generation’.
This term describes young Europeans who participate in Erasmus programme and are assumed to support European integration more actively when compared with their elder generations.
The assumption is that young Europeans, who enjoyed the benefits of European integration, think of themselves as European citizens, and therefore create a base of support for further European integration. However, questions are raised about whether there is positive correlation between the programme and pro-European integration.
According to the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics, Erasmus programme is a soft power tool and it reflects the political motivation behind its creation.
Lets just think about that last line…
Conclusions for me….
1. The UK seems to have been a soft touch for this.
2. The real EU monolithic power grab is revealed.
I hope the government have seen through this, don’t listen to the hysterical lefties and carry on with consigning it to history along with the third Reich.

Watts, 21, of Enfield, has pleaded guilty to sexual offences involving four girls. She is due to be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court later.
Police believe she may have assaulted up to 50 victims in total

IIRC, when at her most activisty, for an old bird, the BBC was keen to feature Airmiles Jane to the fore of many a protest line.
Lest they or others be tempted to continue the trend if she dodges the coming plastic ban, keep this handy:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-47293927
The first thing of note in the BBC article is that…
“In 2017, 16,561 UK students participated in Erasmus, while 31,727 EU nationals came to the UK.”
That seems a tad unbalanced for a start, but a look at Wikipeadia reveals the following…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erasmus_Programme
“Some academics have speculated that former Erasmus students will prove to be a powerful force in creating a pan-European identity. The political scientist Stefan Wolff, for example, has argued that “Give it 15, 20 or 25 years, and Europe will be run by leaders with a completely different socialisation from those of today”, referring to the so-called ‘Erasmus generation’.
