BBC Web-site Watch #2 – Wimmin are Wonderful

But they do not know much. Or they have (maybe unfair – correction) this one has a rather small brain. https://www.bbc.co.uk/ – right hand side, near the top in section ‘More Top Stories’.

    Yes, honestly.

The BBC have done a pretty good job of denigrating women over the last week or two.

    I object!

    The BBC doesn’t do business – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51681620

The list of BBC ‘doesn’t do’s’ grows by the minute, or so it seems. A Government bond is not a share: it is a Gilt-edged stock, commonly known as ‘Gilts’.

The BBC appear to have created another slot for a newly appointed reporter:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/stories-51332811

… ‘The boss who put everyone on 70K By Stephanie Hegarty Population correspondent’. …

This headline fails to mention that the story concerns an American firm, and that the 70k is measured in $s.

That aside, a look at Stephanie Hegarty’s output lists this story and Coronavirus stories only in her last dozen or so.

The BBC’s appointment of ‘Population correspondent’ must be a step along the way towards a loosely defined Simpsonesque ‘World Affairs Correspondent’.

For an organisation whose future is anything but certain, at both ends of the market rate limpet scale, from Young Reporters to old pharts having views their own, they do seem to be creating an ever-growing empire.

    Too big to fail?

BBC Hull local news waited 16 mins before its LGBT item trailing a protest that gay rugby players will be making against a Hull teams new signing.. an Australian fundamentalist Christian who asserts that God condemns homosexuality

      – then Diana Johnson , the Hull Labour MP has made a statement about smelly toilets in Hull station.

… She is very rarely on the prog …/sarc

            John ,
The PIE episode has been wiped from the collective mind of the bubble . How Hattie Harmon could possibly have a political career after that shows how corrupt the body politic is . But I suppose Comrade Corbyn bested it be becoming leader of a political party despite spending his career justifying terrorism by his friends in the IRA. Hezbola et al….

Now I’ve always understood that as we – in the US/UK – are living in democratic countries, “the voters” are, ultimately, the SUPREME judges of who has the best chance of winning and the rest of us abide by their decision. Unless of course the voters are now considered fools whose views are meaningless or at worst, obsolete. It would seem that the powers that be will defend the right of fools to die in defense of their country, defend the right of fools to unnecessarily abort their child, defend the right of someone born with a penis to identify as a woman and yet, when it comes to voting for their national government these same fools are incapable of making the “correct” decision. The powers that be need to be flushed away and the M.S.M. propaganda machine exposed for what it is.
      End of rant.

Perhaps little miss muffet could be called the Severn Bore, in that she rushes in, causes a bit of a disturbance and then disappears. And no one’s any the wiser afterwards.

Apologies for interrupting the good flow of views but it’s time for the weekend thread . The prize for coming first will be not to have wall to wall coverage by the BBC of a 17 year old mentally disordered Scandinavian child who looks anorexic …..

Well well , I thought it was satire .

Imagine a libertarian or populist gathering in a city to put their point of view .
An organiser asks them to take one step back to make room at the front .
Then asks if there’s a medical person to attend something in the middle of the crowd .
Then tells the masses that an ambulance must get through .

Wouldn’t The News Quiz and The Now Show make hay out of that ? *

Replace any of these ; populist , libertarian , conservative , Catholic , Orange Order , monarchist , pro life , English Defence League , Help For Hero’s , an anti BBC gathering
    For
Climate Change activists , Greta Thunberg supporters , social justice , climate justice etc
And you know if the BBC will mention at least three times there was urgent medical attention needed at a gathering .
