As the BBC passes ‘peak Cummings’ and the curve flattens out the Far left Biased BBC will be seeking more targets to undermine the newish government and prevent the UK ever leaving the EU
Congrats on 1st, Anne, up a step there, onto the top. Careful with the champers, now.
‘BBC Free’ – yeah, it has come to that. I’ll look at the web-site. But I’ve given up mostly on Radio4 N&CA.
“Their language is leaving me”
“Outside”
No TOADY Watches until the BBC reforms itself or I can steel myself to listen. The birdsong and sounds of nature between 6 and 7 a.m. in this part of the world were wonderful this morning. Not so much a dawn chorus but that fat nature lady refusing to stop singing.
Today there is supposed to be a day of media boycott
but http://www.mediascum.co.uk/ got shut down
(I got screenshots)
scummedia.co.uk exists but shows blank
Fed, ah but we have strength in depth on here unlike the BBC who only have strength in overall budget, legalised piracy and their personal salaries.
We have posters who write well, are impartial, open about political affiliations but are willing to put them aside and be neutral and who are seekers after accuracy and the truth. Someone will no doubt have a go at the task.
The BBC? Pah!
If and when they decide to get back to news gathering instead of propaganda and are willing to educate and inform as a priority before entertainment, agenda pushing and advertising then I might start to listen again. I’ll dip in from time to time to see if the situation improves on TOADY. You can guess pretty much what TWatO and its weekend equivalents plus TWiT/TWoT will cover when you have heard TOADY most days. I gave up on PM when Quinn decided to be Judge and Jury immediately after a bombing occurred in Syria. The 6 p.m. News on R4 is just a reheat of the hash browns left in the fry pan from earlier in the day …
The old question “Did you/they have a good war?” when translated into Pandemic 2020 terms would be answered on behalf of the BBC by their listening public – this bit of it – as “No.”
They have never stopped news gathering. It is just that they only gather the news which confirms their bias.
Don’t expect any change now that they have successfully indoctrinated the gullible into believing that any information from another source must be untrue.
Good morning Anne, in the bbc world it all depends on who you are and your political view as to your status, if you are in anyway related to a MrCummings you are probably seventh
and likely to be dragged into a rose garden for a witch ducking and if you sink for at least 10 minutes underwater you may be innocent
Last night Daily Mail for a very short while had the exclusive story that Dom would resign in 6 months time. The story seems to have disappeared without trace.
Yesterday I went to the BBC site to replay yesterday’s briefing to remind myself of the delightful face Miss Kuensberg pulled when she realised she wasn’t going to be allowed her second question. The opportunity to see her scowl had totally disappeared. It was straight on to Robert Peston.
I just wondered if both things were caused by the Covid virus.
Had I not felt like kipping the morning away, I could have joined in with the lovely banter one enjoys before the blasted BBC turns up and tries to make the day so awful!
But I did, and this is a poor Scrobs, wandering around with a mug of Yorkshire Gold, and thinking of much nicer things, like gardening, a few tinctures with Senora O’Blene at lunchtime, a chat with lovely neighbours and a BBC-free day, full of promise, happiness and goodwill.
Is the BBC news still such an awful place to watch or hear?
As we haven’t bothered for weeks, we really don’t know, but I suppose they still have the dreadful negativity, the bile, the lazy autocue-readers, and that silly girl Maitless, who apparently had a hissy fit, according to chums here!
I listen to the 5pm daily briefings to get facts. But in a morning listen to Classic FM. If we are lucky we sleep through the headlines at 7 and are in for a blissful unaware day, otherwise 2 minutes of the same bias and bile the BBC produces.
I have Classic FM on a small wireless next to the bed, in case the night gets boring, but never in the daytime for some reason…
A chum used to have the progs on Classic all day, on a soft radio, and it was surprisingly relaxing, but we tried it and when something ‘irritating’ came on, we decided that peace and quiet was the better option!
And I still can’t be a***d to do anything today, the gooseberries need netting, the tomatoes need winding, and I’m still enjoying a news-free day, so it’s not all bad!
Hi Scrob – it is better being BBC free isn’t it ? But I notice – as I predicted – that although peak DC has passed the BBC -like an y addict just more .
So it has ‘sent ‘ the maitlis issue to the ‘executive complaints committee ‘ for ‘review’ which will enable her conviction to be overturned – like they did the the coloured girl on the breakfast TV shift .
Being a bit sad – I looked on the BBC website at the complaints bit – every 2 weeks the ‘exec complaints unit ‘ publishes ‘findings ‘ from complaint inquiries . I reckon maybe 1 in a 100 is upheld – and that one will be trivial nonsense as opposed to the full on maitlisssss type overt bias ….
Any way – enjoy your ‘tinctures’ later – for me it’s Friday fasting day ….
Thanks Fed! Luckily I’m retired, so have time on my hands, and like old habits, Fridays were always pub days, but they’re closed, so its a tincture from Waitrose, and a pre-prandial chat with Mrs O’Blene!
My original main job was business development in property, retail commercial etc, and my MD was very practical in me meeting as many clients/consultants as possible, so when anyone – and I mean everyone – rang up to ask what we were doing, we would always retire to the bar next door to the office, and a lot of info was exchanged, including some spectacular deals with fabulous fees!
I just loved the banter with the builders, at functions like ‘Placemakers’, or ‘Movers and Shakers’, always in London, and when they occurred on the same day, we had ten hours of business discussion, and tinctures galore!
Happy days, and never a BBC moment at all!
(Actually, that isn’t true, as I did a project for them in White Ladies Road, Bristol, back in 1982…)!
Scrob
Likewise on most counts with me . My work in central london was mostly done by lunchtimes so it was red wine time .
Many best ideas came that way and i d get some poor devil to ‘ action’ them the following day . The poor devil was often me….
Fortunately i dont do central london any more . For general information – if you ever try a ‘ pub crawl across whitehall and the roads around POW youd be surprised how many there are ….
PS – a gratuitous abbreviation for collectors – POW Palace of Westminster ….
Actually, Whitehall wasn’t a place to go to for me, as we would never get business from the likes of MPs etc, (wanquers where work was concerned) so it was Balls Bros, Davey’s etc, (their House red was to die for – as I explained to Mrs O’Blene only today)!
Four of the best places were Balls Bros in Ryder Street, another in Albermarle Street, Daveys in Wilson Street, and another fabulous one off Crown Passage!
Bloody hell, we sank millions there, and I nearly lost my virginity (again) in the Ryder Street one, which might have worried/pissed off Mrs O’Blene more than somewhat – and probably me as well, if I was seen to be less than capable with the gorgeous, sexy, full-bodied – bugger… – forgot her name…
Just remembered, when I was a ‘new’ Scrobs in London, ‘The Two Chairmen’ in Queen Anne’s Gate, and ‘The Irish House’ in Storey’s Gate nearby were pretty damned good places!
As lockdown measures have slowly been eased across England, people have been returning to beaches, parks and beauty spots to enjoy the warmer weather. But they’ve found many public toilets are still closed, and without the option of using loos in cafes, pubs and restaurants, it has left scores of people with an urgent question – where do I go when I need to go?
Others have questioned whether public toilets will have to change in a post-lockdown world. Raymond Martin, managing director of the British Toilet Association, said there would need to be a “complete re-think” of public toilets for the post-Covid age. It could ultimately spell the end of the urinal, he says, as operators switch to individual cubicles with wash basins and baby changing facilities inside them.

A bbc top issue.
I often wonder what ‘full analysis’ beyond what is written might involve?
Mary a Swiss Cottage or Hampstead resident no doubt.
Surprising the BBC hasn’t run a campaign to get public lavatories reopened sooner, to help their beloved gays resume their constant creepy loitering of such places…
Is there really a British Toilets Association? Don’t let Owen Jones know! He would either insist that it’s racist. Or he would demand that proper provision be made for visiting gays ….
Andrew Neill reports the news that Nissan has announced that it is moving car production from the EU to the UK – and points out that the MSM could care less about keeping jobs or creating new ones .
He mentions that if the decision had gone the other way the MSM would have been all over it .
Imagine the twitter storm tonight if this had gone the other way. It would have been of biblical proportions. For some reason it’s not getting much traction on the MSM either. Ho hum. https://t.co/9TcI8FKzPR
I wonder if Piku will notice? The BBC are banging the coronavirus and Ethnicity Drum again on the w-site. However, the language has subtly changed. The clickbait box is titled ‘How coronavirus has hit minorities harder’ is an attempt to move away from the unscientific ‘Covid virus discriminates against BAMEs’ of a week or two back.
The BBC have still got the science wrong though. They need to mention which coronavirus on the Home Page – there are many coronaviruses of which Covid-19 is but one – and be specific otherwise they will continue to look stupid producing such falsehoods and fakery.
Covid-19, not Covid. This is just like referring to a group consisting mainly of muslim rapists as Asian. I expect the other Covids to create a petition calling for your resignation.
The man heading the investigation into Newsnight and Emily Maitlis:
The BBC has appointed a man who was a journalist at the BBC for 30 years to investigate his former colleagues and chums in the news department he created .
Richard Sambrook is Professor of Journalism and Director of the Centre for Journalism at Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. So has he disciplined the lecturers at his department who tweeted foul rants against people who chose not to vote for their far left idol Jeremy Corbyn? Is this the same Cardiff School of Journalism that always finds the BBC to be free of any Left wing bias?
Anyone wonder what journalists at Sambrook’s university department are actually taught in the privacy of lessons and tutorials if this is what the lecturers and heads of department tweet in the open?
While he’s at it, he can investigate BBC radio Lincolnshire reporter Emily, who this morning on BBC radio lincolnshire at 07:19:50 in her reply to presenter Sean Dunderhead asking if Dominic has gone yet said, and I couldn’t believe my ears….
“……I’m afraid I think we’re going to have to put up with him for a while longer…”
Complaint made to station, one will soon be going to BBC complaints (whitewashing) department.
Perhaps someone more tech savvy than me could put up a link?
Staunch BBC’er Orla Guerin waxes lyrical about Turkey and its terrific response to the virus – she almost has me waving a quick Thursday evening goodbye to our precious NHS, jumping in an inflatable and washing up on the shores of the Bosphorus…
Well, almost. At least everyone our Orla has chatted with on her BBC Istabul beat has bigged up Turkey, and far be it from our Orla to criticise foreign governments. Because that sort of critical BBC journalism is reserved for nations the BBC don’t like – such as Britain.
“…plans were ready… We just got them off the shelf and started using them.”
“It’s (in) a fairly small club of countries that have been quite effective in reducing the viral spread.”
“Turkey fits in the category of several countries that responded fairly quickly…”
Oh, slight correction – those last two quotes are from a UK academic. You see it’s not just the BBC, we tend to have an institutional admiration for all things exotic. I digress.
Our Orla out in Turkey chums up with Dr Melek Nur Aslan.
Female, of course, who, ‘remains on alert’ and ‘is articulate, and energetic’
Our Orla rides out with a track & trace team and soon meets two ‘women… framed in the doorway of their apartment, both in face masks, and one wearing a headscarf… grateful for the prompt response’.
Here we go…
“We follow foreign news,” she says, “and when we first heard about the virus we were really scared. But Turkey has rallied faster than we thought – much faster than Europe and the United States”
Orful Orla politely ignores a Turkish police force who are more than happy to reinforce lock-down rules with the spirited use of batons, among many other such inducements.
That would be why Turkey has rocketed into the Top Ten for Covid-19 cases, then?
That Johns Hopkins Uni inter-active would have been so helpful at undermining this partial, biased reporting by Orla Guerin and others at the BBC. No wonder they took it off the web-page!
And muslim Turkey has such a good reputation for delivering quality items to the inferior barbarians in the UK, that PHE (probably) didn’t bother to check whether the company claiming to supply quality PPE had ever produced any before. Result? “PPE” equipment delivered late and discarded.
15th/ no 19th now .. still my best result yet.
Here’s a BBC just for fun. My wife watches Spring watch on record so we can skip the narratives but this one was a classic –
BBC Sound man Gary Moore doing piece in his ‘allotment’ in Bristol. He has this huge dustbin to listen to birds. He holds it up and says
” and I can even hear the sound of the ‘KEYworkers’ cars as they go to work in Bristol” me and wife nearly spat our tea out laughing
How does a key workers car sound exactly? FFS they just can’t help themselves
Not having visited my sister for a while I have missed out on hearing the flocks of Subaris Nocturnus as they race around the city streets at night undetected by the police in their sound-proofed cars and bunkers.
What amazes me about these idiots – and they are – is that they don’t see that the public don’t care about their stupid questions except to validate the opinion that they are idiots..
I am interested in the Lockdown and how it will be lifted, the economy, getting back to work, or any new science – not the expelled wind from a fatuous guttersnipe
The Times reports today that the BBC is so concerned about their journalists discrediting them by expressing their views on Twitter that they’ve now hired their former head of news, Richard Sambrook, to look into the problem.
Mr Sambrook was, you may recall, the co-author of a much-cited, BBC-backed Cardiff University report which ‘found’ that the BBC didn’t just not have a pro-EU bias but ‘actually’ has a pronounced anti-EU bias. His own Twitter feed reveals him to be anti-Brexit.
The BBC has appointed a former executive to review how it maintains impartiality on social media, amid concerns that journalists are discrediting the corporation by revealing their opinions https://t.co/4PJocjEOAZ
They really do live in a bubble these people – diversity of thought is not one of his strong points despite his twitter feed holding himself up to be keen on thinking…
The now brewing issue of the gross imbalance of power within the World of Twitter/Facebook etc.
I listened to the broadcast on YT of President Trump’s announcement about the legislation controlling the media platforms. He is 100% right. Hey Presto! a news feature on his signing the Executive Order. So, our, “Worlds Most Trusted” broadcaster reports. What is immediately obvious is, where the BBC stand on the issue. We have to hear the views of the controllers of the media platforms and this is a small number of their responses in essence: “he doesn’t have the power to change the existing legislation”; “we have done no wrong”.
Many platforms hosted by the media giants would disagree with the latter.
Like the border wall, I suspect the POTUS will change the 71:1 ratio statistics of deplatformed right wing users compared to the sole one left wing in comparison. Political? Yes, blatantly.
Soros/Democrats/CCP: Go somewhere and cry!
What on earth are our government thinking about when they have strongly indicated that Britain will accept upwards of 300, 000 Hong Kong people if the Chinese Communist Government take the hard line and refuse to ease up on their dictitorial plans. Apart from the fact that the UK is well over populated, still numbers of illegal immigrants being accepted, thousands of other people from EU member countries, have to ask the question but where the H will these Hong Kong people, (if they come to the UK, ) go? Where will they live? Will they be entitled to an benefits? We owe those people nothing, they knew exactly what the measure was when the lease from the Chinese on Hong Kong was at an end. The UK cannot and irrespective of our generosity accept more people, and further more what is their infection situation against Covid 19? Daft complety daft but of course the BBC will give such action their total support.
Tarien,
I’ve memories of the warning call from the bus conductor, before alighting the bus, “Standing room only”. This will be the new health warning before entering the UK but I suppose ‘Hong-Kong’ers’ are so used to living cheek to jowl it wouldn’t bother them.
50 illegal third worlders a day on the Channel. 500 every 10 days .5000 every 100 days 15000 every year – using that route alone – So let’s double that shall we ? Then add the EU freeloaders sending their earnings And benefits back –
I think the reality is that the well healed ones will do the sensible thing and avoid the UK and go to aus or Canada or the states and leave those with no money to come here .
We are the 5th richest country in the world – we are always told – but doesn’t make me feel very rich . That lie about the ‘5th Richest ‘ always angers me . They think we are stupid .
Fed, don’t forget the ones who die on the way, suffocating/freezing to death in an articulated trailer from Belgium to Grays in Essex. Then there are the lucky ones, who got pulled alive from a similar trailer by Belgian Police before they could die en-route.
That EU Freedom of Movement is no such thing. It should be renamed ‘EU Freedom for Traffickers and Trafficking’.
Coincidentally, over the past few decades, every time house prices might be about to drop, a big door swings open to another bunch of immigrants, here Hong Kong- just in time…
To help out with the channel drip feeding.
Conspiracy theories abound where DC’s Durham visits are concerned, but there’s one aspect that has not attracted much comment yet – perhaps because it’s still more hope than reality in certain circles. Should it become a reality, then the MSM will have been not simply culpable in the most inhuman, scandalous and vile distortion of truth for their own political ends – only the Wannsee Protocol comes close – they will have been its driving force.
If there should be a sudden serious spike in Covid cases, as is happening elsewhere – South Korea is experiencing one right now – as a result of the public ‘Following Dominic and Ignoring the Rules’ then he will be directly blamed, as will Boris and the government for backing him.
Result: vote of no confidence, collapse of administration, Skier elected, Brexit over, job done. And a large number of lives knowingly sacrificed on the altar of purely BBC-Guardian inspired evil.
This, I’m sure, is what lies behind the decision to relax social gatherings from Monday on. Not really to make life more enjoyable again, just to take the heat off despite the fact that the artificially generated ‘heat’ would have been two months ago, in late March. That’s another aspect that gets very little coverage, because it doesn’t suit the current narrative.
Thanks for that. It was interesting to note that the chap Paul Connew (never heard of) exemplified what we have come to expect of the MSM and the Left – to not discuss the actual issue but to just shout their viewpoint and most galling of all to suggest Ms Maitlis speaks for the country! There’s a poll you know…. 🙂
BBC bias exposed as broadcaster ‘admits it’s a left-wing operation’ says radio host
BBC Newsnight has been labelled a “left-wing operation” after its host Emily Maitlis attacked Dominic Cummings on air which has sparked a debate on whether the broadcaster is biased.
Trump’s right : Social Media is a public service that should be open to all

RE ofcom (as bad as the bbc in admitting anything)
Complain about the BBC
You must complain directly to the BBC first and reach the end of the BBC’s complaints process. Ofcom can only consider your complaint if you’ve already complained to the BBC, or in exceptional circumstances.
Complain to the BBC
Complain about another channel or station
Escalate to Ofcom
Have you completed all stages of the BBC’s complaints process, including receiving a response from the BBC’s Executive Complaints Unit (‘ECU’)?
Yes (you will need your BBC complaint reference number and your final response from the BBC)
No, because I have exceptional circumstances
Are the BBC in serious trouble or are the BBC in trouble?
Just had a look at the latest version of the Home Page. That racist/BAME item about the Covid-19 virus (see my post above timed at 8.40 a.m.) has gone completely. I wonder if it will come back with a new heading?
Interestingly, some stuff that is days (or even weeks old) has been dragged back onto the Home Page, hence my question at the top of this post.
The BBC and other fellow travellers are keen to support the notion that Dominic Cummins behaviour, legitimate or otherwise, will make people think there is one rule for one and one rule for another. And that as as a result they may not follow lockdown rules any more.
Let’s turn that around.
Suppose we say instead that people are more interested in exploiting a possible hypocrisy of a government advisor than keeping CV transmission rates down.
Which logically takes us to…
BBC advertises actions which will kill people because this is less important to them than embarrassing the government.
.
How does that sound?
Thinking about a certain continuous succession of presenters on Newsnight this week, I have only just realised that BBC actually stands for Blonde Bimbo Corporation.
Since other types of human species are apparently barred from this presenting position, is there not a case for an EHRC enquiry?
Sluff: “I have only just realised that BBC actually stands for Blonde Bimbo Corporation.”
Easy mistake to make.
For various genders might it also be Biased Bigoted Corporation ?
On the other hand (see – I told you I was a bit of an economist) our dear and highly ambitious Mishal is no doubt waiting for a chance to do her duskifying duty on TV and Newsnight.
The BBC are extremely fond of showing pictures of people using temperature scanners on the foreheads of other people in their News items about the Pandemic and Covid-19 virus. A retailer that I receive e-mails from has decided to start flogging these devices.
Just out of a spirit of impartial journalistic inquiry – yes, BBC, it does still exist – I checked to see what the accuracy of these devices might be. As I sort of suspected, not good. This particular one with an unfortunate name has an accuracy of ± 2°C ! It costs over £1100. The price has just been reduced by a substantial amount. No wonder!!
I hope the devices being used seriously to check if people are sick are considerably more accurate than that one.
Have the BBC asked any questions about these temperature measurers and their use with possible Covid-19 carriers? No?
No contact required, Brissles, my dear old thing. (Wonder how Blowers is getting on in his island lockdown without any cricket?)
Think the one I was offered was purely heat sensing, bit like those satellites that keep the AGW & CC thing going.
± 2°C accuracy would explain a lot there, too. But don’t tell the Horror Bin. Wouldn’t want to spoil his fun or that of McGrath and the umpteen other BBC Climate Correspondents. I wonder if they have one for Cornwall?
Up2
Being a typical ‘right wing racist’ (or so the BBC would have you believe) to write on this esteemed website, in early March I was naturally spending time in…..errr……southern India.
In Tamil Nadu they were quick off the mark with temperature checks on each and every entry into our hotels, using a non-contact gun-type device.
I asked on one occasion for my reading. It was 92F !!!!!! I should have been dead! Either that or the machine was woefully inaccurate. At the time, TN had only two confirmed official cases. Kerala had about 30 cases and on the back of that closed the state to tourists.
Yet I think there is a good reason to do these checks. Which is to show willing and get a message across which is that they are taking it seriously so we should do the same. They may even catch a few with a genuine high temperature.
Phew ! thats a relief Up2. I wouldn’t want to be next in the queue after some menopausal woman having a hot flush and it would give me the same reading as well. Been there, done that etc etc.
Here the sarcastic political editor goes again. ” The chief aides
adventure at the height of lockdown.” OK Laura Kuenssberg
it is said that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. But believe me I
can be just as facetious as you!
Lady Haw-Haw writes this in her analysis of the present
state of the Conservative party on the BBC Website today. It
looks like to me that the liberal bigoted sisterhood at the BBC
are flexing their muscles in their support of Emily Maitlis.
Maybe I am not being fair to Kuenssberg . What is she
supposed to know about empathy when it comes to parents
putting their children first?
I am preparing a Zoom quiz for tomorrow evening. One of
the rounds will be on the Chinese pandemic. How should I
describe Kuenssberg when asking who is she?
I’ve never heard of Covid being blamed on Jews
I’ve heard the wacky conspiracies about Bill Gates, he’s not Soros so that is all David Icke to me.
“The Government needs to step up efforts to address attempts by the far-right to blame the COVID-19 pandemic on Jews, according to a think tank report.”
Strange but the same guy Dr Rakib Ehsan didn’t mention this when he was just on TalkRadio talking about the GroomingRapingPimping Gang report
where he was fair and said honest Muslims/Asians are not afraid of the truth .. so it shouldn’t be hidden on the excuse of race relations.
"Police didn't do enough to stop grooming gangs. Many of them said they wanted to protect 'race relations'. This is unacceptable. Instead of protecting young girls, they were protecting multicultural ideology."@rakibehsan on the spiked podcast:https://t.co/xKqHvQpgoDpic.twitter.com/FtJFoVnPUz
I guess it is pretty easy to post online pretending to be a member of one of these real far right groups. Unless the posters are identified it could be black propagandists.
I’ve seen similar where half of an anarchist group are undercover police
and the other half is almost all another group of undercover police
.. both egging each other on.
Has anyone seen the results of the police investigation into the deputy mayor of liverpools garden party? Can’t find it on bBBC…..
Wot!!!!
No police investigation?
No doorstepping of the deputy mayor?
No calling for a resignation?
No calls of alarm because the public now won’t follow guidance?
I think Labour may be doing an investigation led by Baroness Chucklebutty, with Flabbot doing the official count of only 2 people in the garden. The rest are hiding behind the Remainer Cloaking device.
Come on Piers, Emmy, Laura, Beff, and Vest-on, where are you?
@mrshinnigan Lynnie Hinnigan suspended say commercial radio
and the BBC report
Happened 3 weeks but everyone held off reporting as if it was inconvenient to report and might distract away from the pile on against Cummings. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-52834491
Nothing to do with timing eh? 1st infraction >3 weeks ago and action taken one week after DC in the media. hmmmm!
The BBC and media obsession with Dominic Cummings and his family .
Well there is unnecessary journeys , unauthorised in public spaces , people less than two metres apart , a callous disregard for the people in Britian effectively under house arrest and the authorities charged with enforcing it all not doing their job and certainly never taking retrospective action .
And theyre getting away with it .
We’re talking about the bogus asylum seekers here . Not mentioned by the BBC .
Boris could stop that of course . All he has to do is bring in new legislation or actions that curtail the invasion every time the BBC mention DC .
BBC ; ” should DC have made that 30 mile trip to Barnard Castle ?”
Boris ” oh that reminds me that the illegal migrants are making a thirty mile trip across the channel to get into Britain , we’ ll stop that now ”
BBC ” do you think DC s actions will make people wonder if they should bother with the lockdown ?”
Boris ” I think people will not bother with the lockdown if they know the illegal migrants aren’t bothering with it , we’ll throw the recent arrivals out now ” .
Every time Laura wonk face , Emily mutton dressed as lamb or any other mention DC , Boris should get tougher on bogus asylum seekers and throw ever more of the invaders out , then retrospectively throw out ever more illegals up to Bair’s days . When the Gramscian snowflakes realise their plan is going awry they will shut up .
Nicholas Robinson has tweeted that the government press conference is no longer a press conference ..because the PM controls it .
My immediate response would be to suggest the MSM stop attending it and just listen to members of the public asking important questions about the Chinese virus and changes in the Lock Down .
( methinks the MSM would never do this because it would show how irrelevant they are all becoming )
The self importance of the likes of Robinson – maitlisss – kuensberg – is quite something . Btw – he is also annoyed by the lack of follow up s now – but they are not questions – they are just part of the media ‘gotcha’ game – played in the background of 400 people dead each day .
Maybe the likes of Knobson, Useless, Doomsberg and the test are sweating and throwing hissy fits because they are being outed as superfluous and ridiculously, grotesquely overpaid for what they do by a public who free of charge ask better questions and gain more useful answers at the daily news conference than them.
Mask wearing CNN reporters* caught up in US arrests
* reporters = sh?t stirring trouble causing activists
“A black reporter from CNN was arrested while legally covering the protests in Minneapolis. A white reporter also on the ground was not.”
“The CNN crew arrested while covering protests in Minneapolis has now been released from custody”
There were 3 people arrested.
BTW In India once I was stopped and searched by soldiers 5 times within 2 hours
at something like the Ideal Home Exhibition
In Tunisia at an archaeological site police with AK47s held my arms behind my back for 5-10 minutes then there were 20 cops, then I got released after secret police turned up. There’s more
Misleading by CNN ..all PR fails to mention that white producer and probably white cameraman and security man were also arrested
At 3 minutes in white producer is led away.
“Bet that bookcase has ‘The Jez Thorpe guide to canicide’ and ‘Knit your own sandals’ in it.”
Exactly. Hidden behind the strategically placed Wisdens. No doubt he has more such as ‘Trashing Negotiations’ by Treeza May, Maths for Dummies by D Abbot, ‘ Being a slimy toad’ by Serkeer Stama and ‘How to get on TV with nothing worth saying’ by O Jones.
Not specifically BBC but one of those questions that don’t get asked while MSM are more concerned with gaining a ‘gotcha’ moment.
We are well-used to hearing how bad the virus was in London. And how London was ‘1-2 weeks’ ahead of the rest of the country.
Now this may well explain early death rates and total death rates. But it does not explain the date of peak death rates.
Think about it. The population was presumably at its maximum infection by transmission the day before lockdown. This was true for London as for elsewhere.
So why did London deaths peak a week before almost every other region and then decline faster?
One possible and totally heretical possibility is that the London transmission peak occurred a week BEFORE lockdown. And thus lockdown correlated with but did not itself cause the decline in death rate. Now just imagine that! What a hole that would blow in the conventional wisdom, if for instance prolonged hot dry weather was a big transmission reduction factor. You’d kinda think it would be worth investigating.
I don’t have the answers. I just wish someone influential would have the gumption to ask the questions, not least given that as a result of lockdown we have trashed the economy and the life chances of millions not working in the public sector.

Hello all.
Am I first, second or third.
Have a happy BBC free weekend, I am staying indoors for a while longer despite the lovely weather.
Love to all

Congrats on 1st, Anne, up a step there, onto the top. Careful with the champers, now.
‘BBC Free’ – yeah, it has come to that. I’ll look at the web-site. But I’ve given up mostly on Radio4 N&CA.

No TOADY Watches until the BBC reforms itself or I can steel myself to listen. The birdsong and sounds of nature between 6 and 7 a.m. in this part of the world were wonderful this morning. Not so much a dawn chorus but that fat nature lady refusing to stop singing.
Who needs the BBC?

But Up2 – who is going to do the Toady watch duty if you and i have given up ?
I m thinking really hard about starting to receive BBC products out of duty again but fear the mental cost may be too much .,

What a farce!

When will public toilets be reopened?

Staunch BBC’er Orla Guerin waxes lyrical about Turkey and its terrific response to the virus – she almost has me waving a quick Thursday evening goodbye to our precious NHS, jumping in an inflatable and washing up on the shores of the Bosphorus…
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-52831017
Boom, that’s yer money quote.

Orful Orla politely ignores a Turkish police force who are more than happy to reinforce lock-down rules with the spirited use of batons, among many other such inducements.

Civil servants, like the BBC, are supposed to operate under the rule of political impartiality and ‘my view’ is the ‘view of the department’.
The difference between Vallance and Whitty on the one hand and Goodall on the other is that the former stick to the rules and the later doesn’t.
There is a certain irony in Goodall trying to concoct a story about ‘rule breaking’ by breaking BBC rules!

From “is the BBC biased”:
The Times reports today that the BBC is so concerned about their journalists discrediting them by expressing their views on Twitter that they’ve now hired their former head of news, Richard Sambrook, to look into the problem.
Mr Sambrook was, you may recall, the co-author of a much-cited, BBC-backed Cardiff University report which ‘found’ that the BBC didn’t just not have a pro-EU bias but ‘actually’ has a pronounced anti-EU bias. His own Twitter feed reveals him to be anti-Brexit.
Wonder what he’ll find and recommend?

Which logically takes us to…
BBC advertises actions which will kill people because this is less important to them than embarrassing the government.
.

No?
I thought not.
They don’t do science any more at the BBC.

and are they wiping these contraptions with disinfectant each time, after swiping across someone sweaty brow ?

No contact required, Brissles, my dear old thing. (Wonder how Blowers is getting on in his island lockdown without any cricket?)
Think the one I was offered was purely heat sensing, bit like those satellites that keep the AGW & CC thing going.
± 2°C accuracy would explain a lot there, too. But don’t tell the Horror Bin. Wouldn’t want to spoil his fun or that of McGrath and the umpteen other BBC Climate Correspondents. I wonder if they have one for Cornwall?

I get hot flushes after a few glasses of red, does that count?
Brissles, I’d climb a million mountains to buy you a glass of the same red…
Please, please don’t tell Mrs O’Blene; she’d laugh her head off because I’m supposed to be an old fart now..:0(

I guess it is pretty easy to post online pretending to be a member of one of these real far right groups. Unless the posters are identified it could be black propagandists.

Come on Piers, Emmy, Laura, Beff, and Vest-on, where are you?

and the BBC report
Happened 3 weeks but everyone held off reporting as if it was inconvenient to report and might distract away from the pile on against Cummings.

if you are NOT eating the same food
nor using same toilets.
BBQs will be a problem cos of chef’s nose to their hand
