Midweek Thread 3 June 2020

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter”. A quote from 1965 which could have been made for this website – if a little over dramatic . It was written by an American – but I bet Martin Luther King would never have thought someone would use it about the BBC ….

‘If you listen to or watch mainstream media, though, the unrest escalated only when the police got involved, called in to quell the violence erupting not only in Minneapolis but all across America. The BBC, as you can imagine, have been covering this story from the get-go, not because of a man’s tragic death; no, they have been covering this story because it surrounds identity politics, and no one does identity politics like the BBC.’

Of course during the current insanity on the streets of America and here in Blighty, only one voice is heard: that of the woke media exemplified by the detestable beeb. To demur from the prevailing group think orthodoxy is to be a far right racist extremist. The Tories are as cowed as the rest, and only a few brave dissenting voices are heard, such as Katie Hopkins.

But I like to think that many across the land, perhaps even a silent majority, without voice or representation, are watching the events unfold and quietly seething. And that they will remember, and one day when the opportunity presents itself, at the ballot box or by cancelling the extortion tax, will make themselves heard.

    We’ve had enough.

Beeb TV news at 1pm triumphant as James Matiss appears to criticise Trump’s military threat. They are hoping that more will ‘turn’ against the President, in the same way they like ‘splitting’ the Conservative party.
And so we see plotter in chief, Obama, given lengthy exposure on beeb lunchtime news. Markle has to put in her tuppence worth, long list of ‘victims’, but the many, many whites who were murdered were not amongst them.
Beeb eagerly reinforce the white guilt trip at every opportunity; it’s their narrative. They need to start by realising that blacks can be every bit as murderous and as cruel and violent as whites, if not more so. And that both races have good and bad individuals.
Until whites learn you get nowhere looking weak and playing the appeasement game, they can expect more of the same.
Keep bending the knee, and soon there will be knocks on the front door of No10. It could very well be the mob calling.

I may be in a minority of one. But i personally think
that the abduction and most likely murder of
Madelaine McCann is just as a heinous crime as the

manslaughter or worse than the death Floyd George even if the BBC doesn’t
Further more it would not surprise me if there was more to
this crime in Minneapolis than meets the eye. Derek Chauvin
and Floyd George knew each other from working at the same
time as security guards for a night club in Minneapolis. Was there
something between the police officer and the violent criminal
we don’t yet. Am I allowed to say violent criminal?
. This is a hard subject
to talk about. But are we talking here about hardened callous
police officers trying to arrest an alleged criminal and not
having any kind of empathy as he was obviously having a heart
attack? Or out and out racist officers murdering a black
suspect? Both are terrible aspects of humane nature. BUT
is one worse than the other?
Does it warrant looting and arson. Does it warrant five foot middle aged lady
shop owners being beaten up by six foot or more black youths
as she tries to defend her business. Maybe the baying “peaceful”
    demonstrators and the BBC does.
Do you know what, today I pray for the soul of Madeleine
McCann. And I also say that no suspected criminal should die whilst
being arrested unless they are a real life threat to the arresting
    officers.

I was speaking to a neighbour today, he happens to be a martial arts expert in various forms, so I asked him how difficult it would be to restrain and subdue someone the size and power of Mike Tyson, if he didn’t want to be.
His answer was simple – you’d be dead if you tried to do that no matter what technique you tried to use.

Saw someone get arrested after an assault, he got tasered, he was on the ground for a while, when he recovered he started screaming “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe”. Apparantly nearly all of them are screaming it now, crying wolf, and when it does happen how are the Police to know?

It’s inevitable that someone will die in the inevitable violence of an arrest, the only way to prevent that is to not arrest people !

  13. Roland Deschain says:

For some time the media, with the BBC at the forefront, has been stoking up division in this country. But recently it seems to me that this has stepped up a whole new level.

Brexit has been the main issue for some time, with constant insinuations that Brexiteers are divisive whilst Remainers are good people. This went up a level with the XR protests, where it was clear whose side the media was on. Crucially though, the protesters were continually allowed to get away with things that would have any one of us here up in court. Somehow, though, “human rights” always prevented action being taken. It seems we don’t have any human right to go about our business.

Along came COVID and ramped things up again. The media has actively sought throughout to try to undermine the government, with constant “gotcha” questions that infuriated those without an axe to grind who just wanted useful information.

This last week has been as if a switch has been pulled. The media has barely disguised its attempt to bring down the American president and the Democrats’ lies have been more and more brazen. There’s almost a feeling of desperation that he must be brought down, no matter the cost to the fabric of society. Why now? Is it because Trump has the goods on them?

Whatever the reason, the media over here has followed suit. There has been what can only be described as a wilful attempt to cover up last night’s violence in London. Thousands have blatantly broken lockdown and the police response is to kneel to them, for God’s sake. Yet just a couple of weeks ago the police were carting away those protesting against lockdown. Again, unequal treatment before the law. The media, up in arms about a week ago over a man travelling to Durham in his car, goes universally silent over thousands doing much worse.

Not only that, the media has decided that bias isn’t enough. They’re actively lying. LBC yesterday tweeted about Trump ordering tear gas by police on protesters. I pointed out to them the actual statement from police saying tear gas was never used. So they’ve tweeted the lie again today.

It really feels to me that media and opposition politicians are actively trying to undermine the social fabric of the West. What the hell is going on?

People have been unable to visit dying parents/children/relatives. They cannot run their businesses to earn money. They have, apparently, no “human right” to do so, yet we’re told these self-hating vermin have the “human right” to protest over a death in another country which has nothing to do with us. I’m beyond angry at this, but seemingly powerless to do anything more than rant online.

There appears to be a co-ordinated effort in the Anglosphere to bring about a New Order. It is unlikely that the pandemic was planned, by the Chinese Communist Party or anyone else. However, humanity’s enemies have now had time to formulate their response to it and try to turn matters to their advantage. It has been apparent that the World was never going to change by 2030 on the say-so of a deranged Swedish teenager, and now Plan B is being executed. It is not necessary to believe in elaborate conspiracy theories to explain it. Rather, it is more the case that the fish – the globalists, anarchists, Marxists, liberals and media – are all swimming in the same direction, as they’ve evolved precisely to do so during the past hundred years or so. Consequently we now have a ‘perfect storm’.

That article in the DT is really interesting and revealing…will it be discussed widely? Not sure. It’s basically saying that a couple of researchers, based in the UK I think, have identified some sequences in the make up of Covid, that look like they artificially inserted – ie genetically engineered. This puts the Chinese in a very bad light, and the article implies that some ‘scientists’ have ‘distanced’ themselves from the findings…also very revealing.

Think back to when this shitstorm started – I remember ‘scientists’ saying,no, there is no evidence that this is man-made. It doesn’t have the sort of structures/sequences. And then most of the media/scientists could chant the mantra ‘it came from animals at the wet market’ and they are still saying that.

Just like climate science, there is a reason for them to absolve the Chinese of blame – what could that be? could it reveal the extent to which their financial tenticles pervade our lives in the west? We’ve already heard that they are co-funding unis with military research, and enthusiastically participating in our technology.

I am a scientist by training – not practising now and glad. I have very little respect left for a large number of them (not you Richard Pinder!). They do themselves no favours. How do we ever know when to trust them? Same goes for medics at the moment too.

1pm local BBC Radio news :
PEACEFUL protests will be taking place in Lincoln this afternoon over the killing of George Floyd in the US

same station a few days ago
Trump has said he will have military available for WHAT HE CALLS riots & lawlessness

The words I capitalised are words the BBC has inserted into the news
    words that add framing
ie Trumps ‘s words are framed as if they are not true
whereas for the protest the word “peaceful” is doing some lifting
    it is a prediction
    it is an aspiration
    why is the phrasing not
\\ There will be WHAT THE ORGANISERS ARE CALLING “a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest” in Lincoln this afternoon// ?

The entire news bulletin was 3 minutes
but the newsreader managed to get in the phrase
“they knelt on his neck, for almost 9 minutes” twice
as it seems to do every news report

But yesterday a BBC account acting as Twitter police told me that a particularly story had been dropped quickly & completely, cos” news moves on”.
Well you can’t have it both ways , so why is one news story getting repeated again and again ? unless it’s for agenda pushing.

In fact the protest headline was done twice
cos they did a quick headline round up at the start
    Top stories
“#1 PEACEFUL protests will be taking place in Lincoln this afternoon as The Duchess has Sussex has spoken out about the killing of this unarmed black man ..” clip played
    #3 Maddy McAnn ..
    #4 local school criticised”

“The Duchess of Sussex has sent a video message ”
      .. plays clip

“Local school has faced criticism from the unions” .. plays clip of union voice

“Local travel agent says …” clip

It is all about campaigns and agendas and narratives in pursuit of goals. The mob has been around for a long time, and is no more interested in facts or truth than were Marat, Danton and Robespierre. It is also no more kindly than they were, if you let it have its way.

It has seemed to me for a long time now that there is far more demand for racism than there is supply, in the UK anyway – I haven’t lived anywhere else so am not able to comment on other countries. People that like to get on this particular bandwagon have a need to keep this idea going, that some people (minorities) are automatically discriminated against, because there is much to be gained from it, such as preferential treatment for jobs. It is never going away as an idea because such people would then have to knuckle down and take their chances with the rest of us, with no excuses made for them. I blame the so-called chattering classes for most of this, these people would rather cause death than be seen to be having the “wrong sort” of ideas and fall over themselves to contribute to charities assisting in the third world and so on, but would not p*ss on the working class people living a few streets away if they were on fire.

This has been going on for several decades, unfortunately.

Take the following passage, from “Anti-Racism – A Mania Exposed” (Russell Lewis, Quartet Books, 1988) page 4:

“By ‘race industry’ I mean community relations personnel, multi-ethnic education inspectors and advisers, vote-hungry local politicians, members of local government committees and agencies set up for example to monitor police attitudes to blacks, ambitious leaders of immigrant pressure groups and the like. In other words, those with a vested interest in putting race into the forefront of people’s minds.” (Tom Hastie)

He adds that the result is ‘Newsam’s Law’, which runs, ‘The incidence of alleged racism in a given society will vary in a direct proportion to the number of people handsomely paid to find it.’ Or, as the old saying bluntly puts it, ‘Never ask the barber if you need a haircut.’

    No Platforming.

It is a dangerous political tool devised by the left to take control the dialogue and is probably the most dangerous attack on liberty and free speech the World has ever seen.

It was developed and perfected by such people as Stalin, Pol Pot, Chiang Kai-shek and even Hitler.

It basically says, toe-the-line, follow the mantra we dictate or we will make you and your life garbage.

It used to be the preserve of dictator-controlled despotic regimes but our universities have injected it’s thought process into the minds many of the young people in the free World and they have gone out into the World full of this shit.

When we even see it being employed by add-on members of the Royal family, it is plain how entrenched this abominable philosophy is.

pug, kinda ironic really. If the BBC really want to dispel dangerous misinformation about this particular coronavirus – they were being a little unspecific there – it’s called Covid-19, then they could interview thoughtfully and carefully a whole lot of people working in the health field whether virologists, epidemiologists, doctors or pharmacists working for a vaccine.

Just interview them seeking out what they know – not what Government should have done or should not have done – and what they need to know to better deal with the pandemic.

Who knows? A responsible BBC acting as good journalists, seeking to inform and educate, might just turn on a young viewer or listener to seek a career in science or medicine or medical research. From small acorns, mighty oaks can be grown.

Clive Myrie and Ben Okri go in for a bit of race-baiting on bbc TV 1. We still ONLY hear that justice is about white on black violence. Racism. Nothing about the far more substantial black on black violence, black on white violence etc. Not even the recent black casualties who got in the way of the mob, deserve a mention.
So selective in their indignation, so much sanctimoneousness, so little truth, such a warped picture. It looks ever more like an elaborate, insincere hoax, being perpetrated on a massive scale, aided and abetted by the media and many politicians. People like Myrie and Okri don’t even deserve to speak the word ‘Justice’ out loud. George Floyd is simply a political tool for would be revolutionaries. In a way, his memory is actually being desecrated.
Beeb, trying so hard to import what is going on in the US into Britain, it borders on encouraging violence and stirring up racial hatred. I am quite surprised at the bare-faced cheek.
But it will get ever more brazen. They have realised that the forces of Law and Order are easily intimidated, the media easily whipped up and the mob easily roused.

I don’t think I’ve seen Steve Turley visibly as angry as this.

And, this is what the polls say about the public’s support for President Trump putting the military in to sort it out.

I’m toying with the urge to impart that the public arming themselves, the best way they can, is actually and justifiably already taking place in the UK.

What happens in the States is, sooner or later, duplicated in the UK………..

Careful and reluctant as we should be on this very serious matter, I think it would be justified, if the UK public got the impression that police would NOT protect them against lawbreakers, preferring instead gimmicks like ‘bending the knee’ before a baying mob.
What we have seen from some (and only some) officers in London has been absurd. Sure most of them will do their duty to the best of their ability. The media will make that job as difficult as possible. Really, I have lost all sympathy for journalists who go looking for the next sensational story. In fact, if they put their heads between the jaws of a tiger, they mustn’t be surprised if it gets bitten off! And -in that event- please no wailing complaints…
I see a black lady policewoman has been shot dead in New York. Bet Myrie, Okri and all the other beeboids won’t be agonising over her death, on screen. No blathering on about ‘justice’ will be heard. Just when the narrative is rolling on so nicely, THAT wouldn’t do at all!

At a press conference Wednesday morning, New York City Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill said Familia was shot in the head in an “unprovoked attack” while sitting with her partner in a marked police command vehicle on the corner of Morris Avenue and East 183 Street in the Bronx around 12:30 a.m. He told reporters the vehicle had been parked there since March because of increased gang activity in the area.

The shooter has since been identified as Alexander Bonds, 34, of New York City.

Darcy 3- On 1 June, 2020, Dr Roelof Botha was attacked and brutally murdered outside his home near Tulbagh, in the Western Cape.
He was hacked to death with a machete, in all likelyhood for being white. R.I.P.
Between 1990 and May 2020 there were 5,437 farm attacks including 2,067 farm murders in South Africa. The victims where overwhelmingly white, torture and rape often involved. Talk about not being able to breathe! The killers, looters and rapists were overwhelmingly…
…I wonder if I should consult Clive Myrie of beeb and Ben Okri about this, they were having such a great discussion about the lack of racial ‘justice’. Surely this detail would fit like a glove.
Then again, perhaps not. Wrong narrative for their agenda. BBC much too impartial to handle that. Look the other way.

I don’t like calling out the government but sometimes one has to.
At the news conference Grant Shapps answers a ‘question from the public’ about travel insurance, saying in terms that the travel companies must pay up for cancelled or altered holidays. As separately have various newspapers and even Which magazine. Yet I suggest he and they are all being disingenuous if not lying.

Has he or anyone actually read the legislation?

I give you the ‘Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018’ section 16 part 4.

‘The traveller is not entitled to compensation for damages…..if the organiser proves that the lack of conformity is…….due to unforeseeable and extra-ordinary circumstances’

If Coronavirus does not fall in this category then what does or ever will?

So all a travel company has to do is claim Force Majeure under this section and I suspect there is little anyone can do about it.
So what then, Mr Shapps ?

Calling out the government number 2. But even more the NHS.

At the news conference, a question is asked about releasing elderly patients back to care homes without testing them for CV19 first. This wanton action has of course directly killed thousands of people in care homes.

Shapps answers that the release of patients is a clinical decision taken by clinicians.

But……who do the clinicians work for?
    The NHS of course !!!!

So we have by logical inference something we intuitively knew.

That our ‘NHS heroes’ are directly responsible for killing thousands of care home residents, whose numbers are increasingly comparable with those dying in hospitals, such is the staggering scale of the results of these decisions.

Is anyone accountable for these clinical decisions? Of course not.
‘Save the NHS’. Why would anyone want to do that, given the above facts?
Except for the people who work there, unaccountable and untouchable.

‘Save the NHS at the expense of care home residents’.
It does not trip easily off the tongue.
    But it WAS the policy.
And, by emphasising that the decisions were clinically based, they have effectively admitted it.

EXCLUSIVE: A new start turns to a tragic end for George Floyd, who moved to Minneapolis determined to turn his life around after being released from prison in Texas

George Floyd moved to Minneapolis in 2014 for a fresh start after being released from prison in Houston, Texas following an arrest for aggravated robbery
Floyd had turned his life around but died on Monday after a white officer knelt on his neck while arresting him for allegedly paying with a fake $20 bill
None of the officers could have been aware of Floyd’s more than a decade-old criminal history at the time of the arrest
The 46-year-old had left behind his past in Houston after being released from prison stemming from a 2007 robbery
He plead guilty to entering a woman’s home, pointing a gun at her stomach and searching the home for drugs and money, according to court records
Floyd was sentenced to 10 months in jail for having less than one gram of cocaine in a December 2005 arrest
He had previously been sentenced to eight months for the same offense, stemming from an October 2002 arrest
Floyd was arrested in 2002 for criminal trespassing and served 30 days in jail
He had another stint for a theft in August 1998

It’s sickening how even the likes of the Daily Mail are trying to portray the late Mr. Floyd as some kind of reformed ‘gentle giant.’ The hard truth is that he wasn’t. At the time of his death he was high on fentanyl and meth, and was in possession of forged bank notes. Also the implication that the police wouldn’t have been aware of his criminal past is dubious to say the least – Floyd and Chauvin both worked at the same club. A club that doesn’t quite pass the smell test, it has to be said, and is more than likely the reason for Chauvin’s actions rather than outright racism.

Calling out the government number 3.

For the second Thursday in a row, one Sherelle Jacobs in the Telegraph has really had a go at the lockdown and what it is actually, as opposed to presumed to be, achieving. Because actually, we don’t really know. They won’t tell us.

Then she goes on to note the lack of willingness to learn and identify errors and lessons. For instance (my example) my neighbours who got CV19 back in mid March noted immediately an enduring lack of taste and smell. They were not alone. Yet It took two months to have it recognised as a symptom and nearly three before it became, as now, one of the three key factors informing Test and Trace. Does the ‘Symptoms Committee’ only meet every 6 weeks?

She writes ‘the UK remains stuck in a culture of denial where nobody will admit mistakes were made’.

She notes Professor Trousersdown’s methodology influenced Sweden, which then assumed a peak critical care demand of 16,000. The actual figure was 500.

She reports the only tacit admission of failure by the UK is that lack of testing resources prevented care home tests. The glaring result of course is that tens of thousands of their residents have been sacrificed on the altar of the NHS. Not a report I expect to see on the BBC anytime soon.

She closes ‘ and so it goes. Unable to protect us from risk, politicians end up protecting us from truth in this new post-Orwellian dystopia’.

Think about the daily news conference. Is she wrong?
