    I have a question:

    Is there technology available that enables people to be identified while wearing a face mask?

    I’m just puzzled that the swamp rats are so unconcerned with many people roaming around, wearing face masks, believing no doubt they are unidentifiable, while breaking the law.

      Well, seeing white kids on the ads might be starters. Mixed race appear to be a godsend to advertisers – the ultimate half and half.

    Radio 4 Front row on in background. Gushing admiration for the new ‘Hamilton’ movie. Then moving on to discussion of having more black/BAME relevant content in English Literature, I thin it was, in schools. Decolonising I suppose. ‘The teacher never held up a book for us to admire that was written by someone like me’. (Well go and write one then, I shouted at the radio).

    On Hamilton, I haven’t seen that theatre production but from the media accounts everyone thinks (or is supposed to think) it’s wonderful. As I understand what accounts I have read, the founding fathers weren’t black, not even Alexander Hamilton (though his mother just might have been a teeny weeny bit black). The reason everyone emotes about Hamilton with its ‘colour blind’ casting seems to be something to do with the way it should, could, have been – or something. I don’t get it. I wonder if some people think the founding fathers were black.

    The presenter said something about the movie being relevant considering recent events – meaning BLM demos . . . blah blah.

    As for decolonising the curriculum, there seems to be a desire on some level to make the cultural past of these British Isles more BAME (preferably black) than they ever were.

    Perhaps I’m just a horrible person.

      Isn’t it about time someone in the US stood up for the RED Indians ? the original occupants – I think I will demonstrate in my village High Street, Red Lives Matters. I might be novel enough to get on our local news.

    I give up….even the Carlsberg advert stars a BME lady……and do you remember when VW adverts were funny …..nope all pc now and they wonder why TV advertising is down 15%…..the adverts used to be better than the programmes !
