I don’t mean this to be over-critical, just making a dispassionate observation, but scrolling back through the day’s input, I think we should be wary of falling into the same level of intolerance as those we most frequently criticise.
I have no knowledge of pollyanna, but the imediate response of affront by some was not particularly noble. We should be above such scratchiness and perhaps accept that some site aspects could do with a spring clean?
No reflection on you Fed, in any way, and Maxi’s contributions – for example – deserve all the stick they earn, but an occasional alternative suggestion can do no harm, surely?
On the other hand if the Polly in question is in any way connected with our own Guardian favourite of the same name, ignore all of the above.
@Beltane Ive been away most of the day
We always welcome criticism and diverse points of views..and there is no reason to be snarly like we see on libmob sites.
However Pollyanna’s post might have come across as incendiary,
.. cos from the start it misrepresented, by claiming we are dull and don’t break new stories.
.. When actually we break new stories throughout the day all the time.
The difference is we used to have new pages begin on a specific topic, and now we don’t, but tend to have many topics going on at the same time.
Sister site ITBB does split by topic , so it’s always worth checking them as well as us.
Beltane – if you read what I wrote – it’s all very well turning up on a ‘campaigning ‘ site like this and saying it is irrelevant – but I asked the question of the poster – “so suggest another way of running it “ and so far have had no reply from that poster or -indeed – anyone .
I think that people are entitled to be affronted too – pop on – sneer – don’t engage – run away – that is the behaviour of a troll . And in this case it looks like you are defending one .
I put out 3 threads a week – I see it as offering the opportunity to record actual BBC conduct and the reaction to it . And if people stray off the BBC – there will not be a Fixed Penalty Notice – unless views turn nasty – which happens rarely .
I want ‘diversity of thought ‘ and ‘diversity of opinion ‘ . People can come here and defend their BBC – proving it is ‘objective ‘ and ‘fair ‘ and ‘ unbiased ‘ ….. Ot maybe they just can’t .
For instance – for a long time call sign ‘Taffman’ has regularly asked for evidence of one pro brexit piece of BBC output . No one – no one – has put one up . The nearest the BBC came to it was one QT where there was a balance of remainers to brexiters – if you exclude the remainer chair .
Any one wanna be editor ? Up2 and I have put up separate subject threads but they merge into general observation . I know Criticism of this site not about me . I’m not rich and am not an internet anorak. It doesn’t interest me . So I’m not putting effort into a ‘revamp’.you can if you want to
. It would be easy to take it personally but I’m a ‘big boy ‘ so don’t lose sleep over it . But I do head scratch about whether there is something anyone can do to end the BBC in its current form apart from the things I mentioned in my initial response to that poster .
All comments entirely accepted – well, almost all – but I hope the point I was trying to make was that it’s far better to ignore obvious trolls. Responding simply tickles an already overstretched ego and doesn’t really achieve anything – again with the repressed and self-indulgent Maxi as a classic example..
Certainly In pollyanna’s case I thought the umbrage taken in some responses was unnecessary, but that’s only my opinion which, I’m sure, is within accepted bBBC boundaries?
Fedup2
As far as I am concerned Fedup you are doing a grand job. Just keep doing what you’re doing. I think the best response to folks who you consider are not voicing valid criticism of this site is -well- no response. After all what would be the point of reading the Guardian to a brick wall? I think the reader would soon grow bored and retire.
As we used to say WAY back in the last century “Ignore it and it will go away”
Lefty – thanks – I’m really hoping for someone to come up with a new approach . Within the confines of the design of this site I think it’s difficult . Same with the 3 weekly threads .
It’s a slow slog to get the changes we want – the review of the charter doesn’t come until after the next election so perhaps in the coming years it will become even more unpopular amongst the general licence payers who still stomach it . – there are over 20 million of the poor devils .
I switched on early for the 6.30 weather forecast. I was just in time to see a piece about the effect lockdown had on disabled people. It may have been interesting but the time that can be given to it during a half hour news programme is very limited so it was superficial and is scarcely news. Then we had a warning that Blackburn (I think I have remembered the town) had a high number of covid infections and at risk of local lockdown. They touched on overcrowding and we saw people handing out leaflets. A few minutes later we were told that a man who had been doing on line keep fit classes was stopping doing them. I think he was called Bradley Walsh but I have no idea who he is. So of all the things happening at this time none of it informed me of what is happening in the world.
May I add that the 6.30 forecast informed me of rain on Saturday and Sunday. The local weather at 6.45 tells me it is going to be dry. I suppose one of them is correct.
I won’t bother watching again for some time.
Labour pays an undisclosed but large sum to whistleblowers who were badly treated when combating antisemitism in the party.
OK, its a leading story and mucho praise for Sturmer for stamping on antisemitism.
But hey, wasn’t all this sorted out when Baroness Chakrabarti conducted an inquiry which found no evidence of antisemitism in the party.
Looking forward to calls for her apology followed by resignation and handing back her seat in the Lords..
Could be exciting. Panorama’s Mark Ware is suing Jeremy Corbyn following his latest statement on the anti-Semitism situation – perhaps for defamation, I couldn’t possibly say.
But what I must say is how very enjoyable it might be if Baroness Chakrabarti were added to the action. Another little conundrum for Blair’s ‘supreme’ court?
Mark Thompson, late of the BBC, is leaving the New York Times in September
Not clear if sacked/resign
“NYT has named COO Meredith Kopit Levien the paper’s next president and CEO.
She succeeds Mark Thompson in September”
It was like google tags sites with a tag saying they are child-safe, or lefty-safe etc
and then has a setting to show only child-safe sites in searches
but yesterday the whole internet’s searches only showed lefty-safe sites.
“Cutting screen time lowers risk of death, study finds”
“Restricting television viewing to two hours a day could prevent or delay poor health, according to a new study.”
That certainly applies to those watching Al Beeb.
Yes the BBC is like a slow acting poison, slowly changing our own perception of reality – what is good and what isn’t. I ditched Aunty years ago and quickly found it quite uplifting spiritually to no longer have to constantly listen to being told that all the worlds problems are my own personal fault.
I was listening to snatches this week on a R4 rerun of their serial “Girl Gone”it followed an idiot lorry driver who tried to smuggle an Afgahanistan kiddy to the UK and got caught by the French authorities. The whole pitch seemed to me that it had been his “moral duty to do this not the fact that he had broken the law and was actually being manipulated by the father of the small girl to gain access to Europe.
This “documentary” had me shouting at the radio in frustration – and made me remember why I so seldom listen to the BBC anymore.
No doubt they will all live “happily ever after” in the UK at our expense and at the expense of the original communities in whatever areas they are moved to.
The only good thing to come out of this programme was that the wife of the lorry driver realised what a virtue signalling, emotionally incontinent moron she was married to and left him. At least his kids now stand a chance to be bought up with some sensible values.
Apparently BBC ‘news’ now includes segments of mini type documentaries , I didn’t know because I haven’t watched the BBC version of news for years, and recently they tried a hatchet job on Churchill and the 1943 Bengal famine making out he was culpable and therefore a racist of the first order.
This has caused some historians and retired Beeboids to issue stern rebukes and for calls in the Times to defund the BBC. They might , hopefully, have gone too far this time.
The BBC seems to be making a pretty good job of steadily increasing the alienation of those who are currently forced to pay for it. I can only assume that those in charge of the foul corporation think that by giving one last heave of outlandish propaganda they can help the Wokist revolution to seize full power. But if the Wokist coup fails and the grown ups hold the line, the BBC is digging its own grave .
BBC on-line news posts an article today which is almost breaktaking in its confident assertion of supposed rectitude and highly revealing of the thinking behind the BBC’s own diversity push. Here in black and white (I am aware of the potential micro-aggression of my pun there) we see the BBC spell out the methods – if not the ultimate goal – of a supposedly anti-racist diversity campaign.
‘How can businesses move to better represent their customers and workforces following the cultural shifts aided by the Black Lives Matter movement? Advertising boss Karen Blackett OBE – who was made race equality business champion by former Prime Minister Theresa May – has a series of tips for bosses seeking to tackle racism and to diversify their firms. Ms Blackett is the UK manager of advertising giant WPP and UK CEO of media investment firm GroupM.’
It’s news to me that businesses are meant to represent anything in particular but in short this says we’re in a revolutionary moment and we need to act to enforce the revolutionary dogmas.
Tip number one says if you are white you must walk on egg shells and if you are black you must twist every casual comment made by a white person as horribly racist – sorry, it actually says watch out for micro-aggressions.
Tip two says look at your phone. Hardly an unusual task for our millenial generation but what it requires is weird in the extreme: ‘tell me the four people in your phone that you contact most often from a work perspective. Now look at the next four people. Look at the eight people and now start telling me what these people are like. And if they’re similar to you in terms of background, in terms of social class, in terms of race, none of us are doing enough’
And so it goes on. Tip six is about the law and regulations. ‘We’ve seen how legislation can just help businesses focus. I don’t believe in overloading businesses with lots of paperwork and reporting, but when it can make a huge economic difference to the UK and for society as well, I think it’s something that we should do’
There’s no justification of the assertion that this diversity thing is of any economic benefit. The cost and complexity of more compliance with government regulation will of course favour the big corporations over the small fry.
Tip eight is about who to give jobs to – whites or blacks? Hmmmm… I bet you can guess by now, so how will this be explained nicely?
But didn’t I already tell you this stuff isn’t subtle anymore. There’s no beating about the bush now: ‘Don’t just level the recruitment playing field… Because if you level the playing field, you still might not allow somebody to get through the door’
I don’t think there was ever a conscious conspiracy hatched to replace the indigenous population of the British Isles. But now that by complacency or accident it is certainly well on the way to the tipping point of no return, there does seem to be a concerted effort from our white liberal cultural, media, political, acedemic, and now even corporate elites, to smooth the potentially bumpy transition by sapping white morale and cowering any hint of opposition.
Like the BBC the white, liberal self hating “woke” class arrogantly think that once things have been “re-balanced and us Oiks who voted for brexit have been broken , that they will be left in charge – I think they might get a shock – and by then it will be too late to enroll in a Brazilian Ju_Jitsu class to protect their daughters.
It’s almost as if the BBC is trying to start a race war. And no one dare call them out on it, because, like medieval witchcraft, there is no defence against the charge. Protesting merely shows your guilt.
I am increasingly unable to avoid the conclusion that we are watching the dying days of Western democracy and are entering an age of unreason. It is going to need some rather unpleasant medicine from rather unpleasant people to stop it, because pleasant people cannot withstand the onslaught.
Roland
The Communists who have captured the BBC must dream that if only they could get us all to look alike, think alike and eventually equalise us all down to the weakest link, (all that is except themselves) the world will live in perfect peace and harmony. Dream on jerks because humanity just doesn’t work that way. The Marxist twats need to grow up. If I can do it anyone can.
i agree. If wokism isnt rooted out and destroyed it will destroy us within ten to twenty years. The first step in any fight back is smashing the BBC and granting broadcasting rights to something like Fox news and other networks so allowing the full range of political views to be displayed and discussed. Closely followed by forcing universities to allow free speech on campus and then freeing the internet from any censorship and allowing the people to hear and see the truth.
But the abolition and obliteration of the BBC must be the first vital step. A lot of good things will spring from that one act.
This is the greatest deception of all. Including the BBC, all the broadcasters and media/advertisers are working assiduously and relentlessly, to convince their “….customers and workforce….” including ‘Joe Public’ that the tiny percentage of foreigners is considerably more that is actually the case.
If we had a proper Government, there would still be time to stop the growth and indeed, reverse it.
When I was working the ‘numbers in my phone’ weren’t chosen by me, rather they were the numbers of my customers, suppliers and co-workers supporting my function.
Perhaps we are supposed to be like Radio 4?
“Hello, professor X, (old, white man with 50 year international recognition as an expert in the subject). I am a researcher at the BBC and we want to do a piece on your subject and we are looking for an expert to make some comments to boost our case. Do you happen to have a young, black female, preferably English-speaking, postgrad who could come on the programme for five minutes? Thanks!”
Roland – I expect that St George Floyd the Just probably had a shining career ahead of him as an Obstetrician – he certainly was interested in pregnant women – being jailed for putting a gun in a pregnant womans stomach.
As for Anthony Walker – well who knows what his future would have been?
Strange that the BBC were not so interested in making a drama on the lost future of 15 year old Chris Mcdonald also murdered in a racist killing the year before.
I wonder whether it has anything to do with the fact that that he was white and stabbed by a group of Pakistani men who set him on fire whilst still alive.
Actually the very same day that Anthony Walker was murdered a young white chap was stabbed to death on the top deck of a bus after intervening when a black thug began throwing chips at his girlfriend.
There was no media frenzy, in fact their silence was deafening.
The BBC won’t be spending our money producing any hyperbolic, imagined fictional accounts of what this young man might have achieved if he’d been allowed to live.
It’s almost as if they didn’t care…
In fact now, fifteen years later, I can’t even recall this young man’s name. He was clearly the victim of an aggravated race crime, but…
He doesn’t fit the narrative. He’s unimportant.
He’s white.
Hi Jeff, it doesn’t fit the BBC narrative so the BBC don’t cover it. Some stories they actively suppress and create deflection stories. I also see a lot of twisting and distortion to shift a story into the BBC narrative. To me it is obvious and childish but somehow the BBC are allowed to do it. It is simply propaganda.
As for the 10 top tips feature, I quote the lady…:
“It’s actually considering that somebody with a 2:2 degree from a university in a really deprived area, which is where they were brought up, could be the equivalent of a First from a Russell Group university (group of 24 leading universities).”
huh?
Isn’t that a bit like saying actually a volunteer driver for St Johns Ambulance could be equally effective as a heart surgeon in the operating theatre.
This morning’s perusal of the BBC homepage and news homepage:
• Endless stories demanding the overthrow of white men in power and accusations of white men being racist.
• Endless anti-English and anti-British stories.
• They keep headlining the same anti-trump story, they just shift it back and forth into different positions and create different versions of it. It has been headlined for about two weeks.
• Stories celebrating Black Lives Matter marches.
• Stories condemning white people congregating in large groups: fans celebrating Leeds promotion, fans celebrating Liverpool receiving the premier league trophy.
A perusal of the BBC children’s channel:
• More climate change end of world scare stories.
• Celebration of black rap music and Stormzy.
“BIG BROTHER” You are the head of the diversity dept at
the BBC and make all the decisions on the virtue signalling
photo we put on the main page of our website. What
picture should we use for our ” Tesco asks staff to clean
shelves floors and loos?”
“Are you stupid or something ? You know what kind of
photo .we ALWAYS use!!”
Oh that is the main page
It’s not on the news page, which itself reflects a country which is 40% black.
Is this news? Surely Tesco has staff to clean shelves, floors and loos, or do they expect customers to do it??? Tesco asks staff to clean shelves, floors and loos – BBC News https://t.co/58DtMWbUXq

Its indexing is

Surprisingly I don’t see an tag that says BAME or black
Stew-It was the second photo in the middle of the
the top of home page of the BBC website for a longtime
earlier this morning. But as I said a photo such as this has become the norm for the BBC.
Someone posted a link to the Sa Ra Garvey vs Tommy Robinson,
Youtube doesn’t allow TR to have equality, his account is shadow-banned and comments are not allowed.
So here’s a link to the same video on Garvey’s account
Of 2,000 comments 1,900 see to be against Garvey;
Garvey thinks has a huge gotcha, when TR got angry about the first BLM demos where the police allowed violence and damage to statues, TR posted his angry rant , ‘right lads this is “our country”, we’ll have to stand up and protect these monuments lets get all the lads down to London’
Garvey ‘see all the football lads are white, so you are saying this is a white country, therefore you are big racist , gotcha !
TR ’em, the football lads are not all white, we’ve always had non-whites in as well’
(TR himself is born in England, but of Irish ancestry)
Then, TR says “black pound day, is racist cos it supports buying by skin colour colour”
Garvey goes into wacky conspiracy mode, ‘ah, but the Jews and the Asians have money that circulate in their economies, so black people should too’
Em talking about that isn’t racist, but actually going out and buying by skin colour seems racist.
9:24am Radio4 allowed on a ex-Obama supporting black woman who switched to Republican
she just scored big points against Biden and old Democrat policies.
She was followed by a Democrat supporter
and that’s it, the prog moved on.
Is it just me? Almost everywhere black people are given power, the whole situation deteriorates rapidly. Look no further than Africa.
In the US? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbNI9K3Mjh4
I do enjoy the ‘Salty Cracker’s’ take on things.
Is the lying BBC reporting on the massive increase in shootings, crime and anarchy in mostly Democrat-run cities, in the wake of the BLM riots?
Of course not, they’re sticking to the ‘largely peaceful’ lie.
If they do mention the near anarchy it’s to criticise Trump for either not doing enough, or for sending in troops.
@G Well bad rule is not a skin colour thing, it is an education & culture thing.
There’s been lots of bad white rulers, when they decided to spend state money as if it was their own and hand it out to their favoured mates.
If blacks were so good at everything, Africa would be the most affluent continent on earth. We’ve all been on God’s earth for the same amount of time, so there’s no excuse.
If muslims were so superior, they would have invented something useful by now.
If whites were so evil, they wouldn’t let so many blacks and paks live amongst us.
Brandon Lewis MP, Conservative Party Chairman, was the victim @ 8.10 a.m. for Rick Nobinson’s sneers and hectoring aggression and talking over his replies. Mishal would have been proud of you, Rick.
It would have been great if Brandon had said in reply to questions about the PM’s performance during the Pandemic (compared to Scottish FM, for example):
“The reason the polls show poorly for the PM, Nick, is that there has been endless negativity and criticism of the PM from every direction but especially in the media and especially in some parts of the broadcast media and I would include the BBC in that Nick. I think a growing number of the population think you have done this country down and no longer trust you.”
Boris off to Scotland and predictably the BBC are running with “Scotland is handling things better than England” thus trying to throw cold water on the visit and cheerleading Sturgeon to break away from the Union.
I guess if they can engineer Scotland staying in the EU they see this as a consolation prize along with a finger in the eye of the Brexiteers.
Without the rest of the UK Scotland would become a third world country unless the EU propped it up and made it into a shop window country like Eire.
Digg
I disagree – scotland has got all that shetland oil to burn as well as all that whisky to destroy livers and shorten lives .
Once it is free of english tax subsidies it can avoid its close history with slavery and stick up as many statues of bill wallace as it can find –
And pay 50% for the border wall ….
Brandon Lewis MP, Conservative Party Chairman, was skewered by Nick Robinson using the the spurious Covid-19 deaths tally in the four constituent parts of the UK.
Brandon really should have known that looking at Covid-19 deaths is wrong because of the varied and inconsistent ways that deaths across the UK are recorded. He really, really, should have known that. Firstly, it is basic general knowledge. Secondly, the Secretary of State for Health had only just last week called for an inquiry into how deaths are recorded in England.
In the good old days, pre-Pandemic, interview candidates for various media shows would be briefed and prepared by aides and possibly by Departmental or Party or Cabinet Press Officers. Somebody had done a poor job for Brandon Lewis.
I mention this hereabouts because order-order.com has often been a counter source for news against the prevailing BBC-led mainstream media. Irritatingly the Guido Fawkes site objects to my ad-blocker. Seems Guido is only in it for the money.
Me too! I can’t say I was even aware that Guido ran adverts so that shows how effective they are!
My ‘blocking’ happened just after I added ‘uBlock’ because YouTube all of a sudden was pushing ‘trailer’ adverts at me, which I assume ‘Adblock’ had previously been stopping.
As an aside I don’t understand those online newspapers, supposedly in the communication business, that swamp their sites with ‘pop ups’ and videos that must need a Tb/s link to function properly. Less is more guys!
In my view the advertisers are being conned
Who ever buys anything off those pop ads ?
But when you go on the page get annoyed by the pop up advert and leave after one second the advertiser is charged as if you were some great potential buyer.
The Daily Mail online is the worst. Between the ruddy great advert filling at least the top of third of the screen and the large video box bottom right, I can hardly see the articles. However apart from Richard Littlejohn they are probably not worth reading. But usually I like to go straight to the comments for light entertainment and the whole thing crashes and I give up.
I was surprised (and shouldn’t have been) when all those gossip columnists who think they are parliamentary journalists were in the rose garden for the Dominic Cummings statement, the Daily Mail representative was as equally vile as Beth, Laura and the rest. You could feel the hate pouring off him.
I have been told the DM on-line is different from the paper version and the paid for on-line. But reading on-line and the hate it has shown the government and the British people during covid had not made me want to pay towards its upkeep.
Ironically I clicked the link to the Fail story on BBC history and entered a world of hurt unable to read anything for ads. Clicked a few x’s to get to actual text and ended up with google demanding I tell them why. Er… no.
To be fair to Guido, what other source of revenue does his site have to fund their activities?
Given how they actually do hold all politicians to account a parliamentary mission to fund them uniquely seems… optimistic.
Being less fair I stopped commenting a while ago as he personally launched into a abuse and obscenity diatribe after what I presume was a tiring and emotional lunch, for me asking to cite more than ‘a source’.
The BBC just ignores, blocks, or bans. Actually sneakier and less honest.
I was tempted to re-engage but it seems to have moved to something i have never heard after Disqus, which was bad enough.
He uses a system called Vuukle which has indeed Vuuked up the comments. He’s made clear in the past his disdain for comments so I really can’t usually be bothered. As you’ve found out, he’s also rather intolerant toward the mildest of criticism or indeed requests for clarification.
I got a ban a while back merely for making a joke about his censorship when he was in the middle of one of his purges.
Ditto, not that I would buy any of the crap advertised.
Guido also regularly deletes my posts, very Orwellian.
Earlier today I turned on a tablet I have not used for months, I click on HardLeftyPedia and up pops a window advising me I have been blocked for six months – from January 30th. Apparently pointing out their self-vaunted impartiality is non-existent is an offence.
Up2
Didnt hear it – but once i had a job working for a big wig who used to do BBC type interviews . The prep was horrendous. Working out variations of questions together with in house media – what to avoid – what to sell – how to deflect – getting back to ‘ the message ‘
… i didnt do it long – but there is something a bit rusty about the tory media department . Come back malcolm tucker … ( but not the mad campbell )
Lets hear it for a BBC droid called John Ware – who is another one in the queue to sue Comrade Corbyn for something . Its good that old chap like corbyn has something to occupy himself these days other than plotting the downfall of the west .
Reading lawyer briefs must take up plenty of his time now …. and the dirty grandpa cant even get the adoration of brainless sheep snowflakes at the pop concerts he used to go to ….
“John Ware explains why he sued the Labour Party – and why his case is merely the first of several against alt-Left sites and individuals who lie”
Names mentioned : Owen Jones, Mr Lansman, Momentum , Miqdaad Versi etc.
Strange thing is the article claims the BBC has the highest editorial standards
I wonder if in court the defenders will cite Panodrama & its apparent evidence that Panorama were willing to lie & cheat to make a hit job against TR.
“..first of several against alt-Left sites and individuals who lie…”
Given the ‘Who’s Who’ of names who grace BBC talk shows, panel shows and get quoted ad nauseam across every BBC platform left, left and left of Stalin, Mr. Ware might do worse than ask colleagues in production and editorial what it was about these charmers that so attracts the BBC to them so.
He might of course get blocked, banned, fired or hounded for the rest of his life for such temerity, mind.
From the list of Labpur Party Anti-Semitism
Haringay 2018 : Councillor Kober was particularly disgusted however when a Momentum-backed candidate told a Jewish Councillor that “you will have more time to count money” after the local elections in May. Councillor Kober’s attempts to have him disciplined or expelled were rejected by the hard-left faction.
Hello Friends,
I hardly post here these days because since I stopped watching BBC & paying the tax in 2018 I don’t have much to report on or complain about. I do read the posts here though & still see some of their shenanigans on the internet.
Here is IMO an important BBC-related clip. Is anyone left wondering why the CONservatives have been so slow & reluctant to reign in the obvious & worsening bias pumping out daily from the BBC? Why have the CONservatives failed to even make the small move to decriminalise non-payment of the tax? Why haven’t they tried to ban BLM rioters from our streets?
Perhaps it is because the CONservatives share the same discriminatory views as the BBC against ethnic Britons. Or “whites”
This is how we are treated after allowing so-called “BAME” people to share governance. We are repaid with an ethnic engineering program.
– Mandatory diversity training courses at the Home Office. – Jobs to be offered to minorities, excluding white applicants. – Special help only for minority candidates. – Diversity shortlists. – 'Drive cultural change'.
Lucy – nice to hear from you – I’m in a worse position because I’m moderating the thing but no longer purposely taking any BBC product – even the dumbed down weather ,
Ms Patel was good at making conservative noises but not actually doing anything . By the looks of it she is about to give a government department to the extended family and friends . ,maybe it will be tribe or caste based .
But of course they’ll be to busy to publish the full paki paedo report .
So we are left with a government whose only apparent principle is to get us out of the EU…. but even that is looking like the poker game coming to an ‘extension ‘ due to covid or some other made up excuse …..
Fed,
“….By the looks of it she is about to give a government department to the extended family and friends .”
That’s the way Asians work, there and here. A step above any nepotism the Brits can muster.
A shift in support of the so called Asians from our Home Sect
Meanwhile watch Nigel Farage’s support for the Moslems against their Chinese oppressors. Sure, they are getting a raw deal, but is what is being handed out to infidels in many countries.
Comments are not wholly in support of Nigel.
Lucy – good points. Here are my thoughts on the clip.
Priti Patel frequently finds herself as the only non-white in the room not because Britain is a racist society but because it is a meritocracy. She has got where she is today because of her intelligence. Why is she intelligent? Because she belongs to the Vaishya class, one of the higher Hindu castes which maintain their intelligent gene pool by not allowing marriage with the less intelligent lower castes. Rishi Sunak’s intelligence can likewise be linked to his Brahmin background.
If there were more intelligent blacks and browns in this country than there actually are, there is no doubt that Priti Patel would be bumping into more of them in the corridors of power.
Neither the Home Office nor any other body or business in this country needs diversity and inclusion courses or training. All they need is what they have always had – an ability to identify intelligence and the best candidate for the job.
How is the BBC going to handle the Nick Buckley case ?until 5 minutes ago I didn’t know anything about it . My Buckley set up a charity to help the homeless . But he was sacked by its board of trustees after commenting on the real agenda of the current race fad which I will never name .
It seems – today – the board of trustees have resigned and he has got his charity back .
My details could be inaccurate – others here will know more – but the story lifts the stone a bit on who are the victims of this race madness – so I wonder if the BBC will notice and report it at all…. ?
#2 thecritic.co.uk/fired-charity-boss-restored
This is almost th entire article This morning the trustees of the charity, which helps young people in Manchester avoid a life of crime, say they have “confirmed a mutually acceptable statement to avoid litigation”.
The current trustees have resigned and a new board has asked Nick Buckley to return to his former role.
They tweeted
the sacking was not because of his social media posts or because of the online petition to have him removed.
rather he was removed to “protect the charity’s reputation following legal advice and Charity Commission guidance”.
Basically it was a bit stupid to shout “white privelege” at someone who spends his life helping largely white homeless people.

They went over to Simon Calder for an update on travel rules
and instead of just speaking for 2 minutes on the phone, he had his selfie stick on as he walked past the canals, backstreets and squares for 20 minutes.
Once when he focused on a canal two opposing launches smacked into each other.

Not a very good piece
It’s like the BBC : they bring on somebody from their own side and feed them lines
whereas this Fox woman does it with Ben Shapiro.
For sheer bare-faced, ass-baring chutzpah, this has to take the biscuit, coming as it does from a Beeboid Panorama churnalist…
‘ But playing the man and not the ball is now the weapon of choice for killing off dispassionate debate.’
Sometimes you just have to stand back and smile at some of the insanely inaccurate reporting that we get across the MSM. Comical Ali has nothing on this lot…
They’re still referring to the anarchic, murderous riots in numerous Democratic American cities as “anti racist demonstrations.”
It’s quite mind boggling. There are geezers armed with machine guns and automatic rifles, people have died and yet these are still referred to as “demonstrations”.
I just wondered, when does a demonstrator become a violent, mindless thug?
Oh yeh…
When he’s white and trying to protect The Cenotaph.
G – Yup – he and Nick Robinson have also had a pop recently at Mr Trump – a propos of nothing – for supporting the Far right/KKK lot at the Charlottesville demonstrationn – when he was saying just the opposite.
Of course, they throw in these little quips at any opportunity they get, becasue they are not going to get any disagreement at the end of their little blurt, nor will the BBC or any of its ‘famed fact-checkers’ ever pull them up and shame them.
What was worse regarding Sopel’s recent outburst, was the claim along the lines of “….. goodness knows why this was a politicised issue (it wasn’t, at the time) when it’s a simple matter of Public Health”.
I draw you attention to the complete absence of the same sort of comment when the Democrats, the US MSM, BBC et al politically attacked Mr Trump for days on end for mentioning a potential COVID ameliorating medication, Hydrochoroquinine (HCQ). because, surely, that too, was simply a matter of Public Health, and not of politics.
Damned, no matter what he does, as far as the BBC is concerned.
But the BBC is an impartial broadcaster……. yeah, right!

We have always been clear that our principles in these areas are not simple negotiating positions but expressions of the reality that we will be a fully independent country at the end of the transition period.
“That is why we continue to look for a deal with, at its core, a free trade agreement similar to the one the EU already has with Canada – that is, an agreement based on existing precedents. We remain unclear why this is so difficult for the EU, but we will continue to negotiate with this in mind.
Top story in the Mail online. It speaks for itself, but I would add;
Was Churchill directly and personally responsible for this tragedy?
In 1943, the height of WWII, famine in Bengal was not a direct threat to Britain, it wasn’t caused by Britain, nor was it in the immediate consciousness of most British leaders or people. More pressing issues like the Japanese or Nazi’s I suspect, were more prescient.
Who the hell is BBC historian David Olusoga? And why was his myopic and bastardised history allowed to air on prime time BBC as fact?
If Churchill and the heroes from WWII could see this history trawling for political point scoring, the BBC would be closed down immediately.
It’s at the point now where the bias is beyond satire. It’s disgusting, shameful, British hating woke nonsense, aired to an ever diminishing echo chamber.
Shame on the government for allowing this circus to continue. Shame on the BBC.
…for what’s it worth, I took the unusual step of complaining to the BBC about this disgusting piece; and the choice of Mr Olusaga as the historian.
A cursory glance at his profile highlights exactly what one would expect;
Nigerian father, various woke pseudo-historical books on how awful Colonial Britain was, ‘Slavery and the British shame’; as well as ‘Black Britain a forgotten history’.
Resident at Manchester university (the centre of Woke Northish – Sorry I’m from the real North!). He also has the obligatory OBE.
Hmm…perhaps I’m overreaching, but the fact that more women got nominated for a Mercury Prize (some award ceremony I’ve never heard of before) has reached both the BBC front page and the BBC News at One. As usual, all of the music is utter crap (such as Dua Lipa and Charli XCX) but, women, so we must celebrate their music as the greatest this year! They also desperately tried to show how the Mercury Prize still matters. The BBC did sponsor the event in the past.
Caught end of a bit on R4 where they were asking some people..don’t know who..to mark Boris out of 10 for performance in year…what a waste of air time..but caught the section when one of them was allowed to bang on about Dominic C and make blatantly untrue statements.

Just had a look at the ITV News website and it said this:
In England, from Friday, you must wear a face covering in a shop or supermarket. What constituents a shop has led to some confusion within government ranks and there still appears to be a certain amount of decision-making being left to the public.
When asked by ITV News, the Department of Health did not confirm exactly where face coverings were mandatory.
Shouldn’t the answer be simple, what does the law say?
What is the point of having laws if we are increasingly being controlled by ‘guidance’ and now the Twitter mob?
– A university lecturer was sacked after saying that “the Jewish are the cleverest in the world” and “Germans are good engineers”.
You can see why the liberal establishment must hide any link between ethnicity and IQ, ability or achievement. If the truth about IQ and ethnicity got out, the entire BLM/victimhood industry would collapse, based as it is on the lie that underachievement is down to racism.
As Rod Liddle comments on the same story:
Telling the truth, then, can now cost you your job. This moronic terror of the truth now infests most of our institutions. It has to stop.

So, Mr Yentob has gotten off scot free regarding the children’s charity scam with that batman woman?
Isn’t that worse than comparing someone’s hair style to a Golliwog, in a private conversation. For which the racist far-left bbc excommunicated Carol Thatcher. But not Mr Yentob, apparently.
Mail Online reports today that historians have criticised the BBC over an ‘unbalanced’ News At Ten report claiming Churchill was responsible for the ‘mass killing’ of up to three million people in the 1943 Bengal Famine.
Of course it would be unbalanced, it being the BBC. But what’s interesting is how such a segment should be included as part of a supposed “news” programme in the first place.
According to Collins Dictionary, the singular noun “news” means “a television or radio broadcast which consists of information about recent events in the country or the world.”
So what was the BBC playing at by presenting a biased, anti-colonial, modern perspective on events that happened 77 years ago in a supposed up to the minute news programme?
There was certainly no new information being presented, or new developments to report – this was clearly a set-up opinion piece that had nothing to do with “news” and everything to do with fitting the BBC’s blatant, constant anti-British and increasingly anti-Churchill narrative.
A BBC spokesman apparently said: ‘The item was the latest in a series looking at Britain’s colonial legacy worldwide.” What, there’s more of this rubbish out there masquerading as news?
Oh, please get lost BBC; we are sick and tired of your sleight of hand. You are not interested in news – you are too busy rewriting history. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8551751/Historians-blast-BBC-unbalanced-News-Ten-report-Churchill.html

OK, its a leading story and mucho praise for Sturmer for stamping on antisemitism.

I suppose every cloud has a silver lining.

Here in black and white (I am aware of the potential micro-aggression of my pun there) we see the BBC spell out the methods – if not the ultimate goal – of a supposedly anti-racist diversity campaign.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-53442614
‘Top 10 tips for diversifying your workplace’
Read carefully and think about the preamble.

What, this customer and workforce demographic? The one accurately showing the population of England and Wales to be, 86% White; 3.3% Black; Asian 7.5% and “Mixed”, total, 2.2%.

Someone posted a link to the Sa Ra Garvey vs Tommy Robinson,
Youtube doesn’t allow TR to have equality, his account is shadow-banned and comments are not allowed.
So here’s a link to the same video on Garvey’s account
Of 2,000 comments 1,900 see to be against Garvey;

Brandon could have said that.
I wish he had said that.

But of course they’ll be to busy to publish the full paki paedo report .
So we are left with a government whose only apparent principle is to get us out of the EU…. but even that is looking like the poker game coming to an ‘extension ‘ due to covid or some other made up excuse …..

This morning the trustees of the charity, which helps young people in Manchester avoid a life of crime, say they have “confirmed a mutually acceptable statement to avoid litigation”.

They’re still referring to the anarchic, murderous riots in numerous Democratic American cities as “anti racist demonstrations.”
It’s quite mind boggling. There are geezers armed with machine guns and automatic rifles, people have died and yet these are still referred to as “demonstrations”.

Top story in the Mail online. It speaks for itself, but I would add;

A cursory glance at his profile highlights exactly what one would expect;
So, no bias whatsoever from the BBC’s historian!
It’s bloody disgrace.
