Both Harry and Meghan have benefitted and continue to benefit from this so-called “structural racism”, so why don’t they give away all their assets, their money, and all their privileges based on their celebrity and royalty and shut the feck up. They have no right to tell others how to live.

How about them bringing some ‘diversity’ to Zimbabwe?

I am sure they could get themselves a nice little estate out of sight of the media (and police).

Race equality think tank Runnymede describes structural racism as “the set of circumstances artificially created over generations, through European colonialism, which holds ‘whiteness’ to be superior.”

I could imagine that if one was part of a white, colonial, civil service, trying to bring order to a tribal society, ruled by superstition and inter-tribal hatred, one might well assume that to be ‘white’ was to be superior.

How allowing European countries to be colonised by Africans is a good thing beats me. Have no ‘lessons been learned’?

Perhaps the Africans who have made it here could act as role models themselves? Drug dealing and gun and knife crime seems to go along with African communities in Africa, Europe and Los Angeles. Correlation might not be causation but is there anywhere in the world where colonisation by Africans has been a positive?

    From the BBC:

    2020-10-01-1617-England-01.jpg

If you take a look at the BBC’s children channels, cbbc and cbeebies it is wall to wall black characters, BAME characters, female characters, LGBTQ characters, disability characters.

If you go to Nigeria and other parts of Africa then you also find lots of black characters on children’s television.

The BBC will never stop with their propaganda campaigning. The licence fee has to be scrapped and the BBC held accountable for misuse of taxpayers monies.

      Fully agree with your sentiments.
But….the elephant in the room is demographics.
We are typically invaded by the young.
      Who shortly afterwards have kids.

The school age ethnic minority population vastly exceeds the general all-population level.

The BBC coverage may be propagandised bias, but I fear it is more age-group representative than we may like to think…

The BBC are oozing the holy black message stuff out of every orifice. Doesn’t matter which channel you choose TV and Radio it’s being pumped out relentlessly.

The volume is so high and the frequency so regular that speaking as average Joe, I am totally and utterly sick of it.

There is not one BBC channel or News slot that I can now watch or listen to without teeth on edge within minutes, so I just switch off.

In concert with this, I am blacklisting every advertiser who piles in on this stuff by depicting a ridiculous false view of society whether by TV Commercial, Press advertising or email campaigns.

I believe this avalanche is now having the opposite effect to the one they perceive on the people they are trying to target with this relentless propaganda and I know I am not alone in this, most of my friends and acquaintances agree. Even the most “Liberal” of my acquaintances are noticing the ludicrous level this has reached.

Even TV drama is becoming a bad joke with the forced characterisations they inject into everything to ram their message home.

They are no longer just Woke, they are a Joke.

Have the BBC got a total death wish with the overwhelming majority in the Country?

I can believe there may well be plenty of talented and high quality black people who are sick of this as well. Getting picked because of virtue signalling instead of for ones real qualities is hardly a motivator.
As you describe digg, seeing this brainwashing in operation has the reverse effect. Rather like when you perceive somebody is trying to manipulate you into doing something, even if it’s something you might have wanted to do otherwise, it stops you.

Unfortunately the mindset behind this virtue signalling will not understand this.

One good thing that never happened in previous history when brainwashing was taking place is that now we can communicate and share contrary thoughts with others.

digg – the bbc is -in part- a propaganda tool. The objective of propaganda is to persuade. The interesting question is: who is trying to persuade whom, to do what? And why?
Gee, that’s more than one question. Understandable, because it’s complex stuff, if you want to try and explain it. Then again, quite simple if you instinctively know the answers.
I think some of us do.
(By the way, interesting stuff, propaganda). Some are even forced to pay to consume it…

It’s a really interesting point, and worrying too. I really think the bbc could create racism – or maybe racial resentment or something -where none previously existed. And for what?

And not only that, if I were black I’d be asking why they feel they can endlessly speak for me, and victimised me, and why they imagine they know what all black people in the country think and want, and how they want to be portrayed.

Are the BBC making it easy for us over 75 and those
of with traditional cultural TV tastes not to renew our
licences? When a popular programme such as” All creatures”
is offered to be remade . The BBC turn it down , because the
subject matter is too white. Surely the diversity department could
of insisted that there were some black Labrador Retrievers
turning up at the vets. And for good taste they could of been
    called Digger or Tigger.
I wouldn’t be surprised if before long one of the other
channels will start a dancing programme where couples of
the opposite sex are allowed to dance with each other or
be allowed to be of the same ethnicity .
To be honest, we watched the ambulance programme last
night. We were surprised that BIG BROTHER from the diversity
programme allowed it to be aired.
Personally I have nothing but admiration for the medics from
this truly great service, who helped save my life when I had a heart attack several years ago. This was a programme well
worth watching. But so far as the BBC is concerned we see
very little of these kind of documentaries anymore. To cheer
any of you up , my letter in the Daily Mail today on football penalties, may be worth a few laughs. You will know who I am from the facetious comments.

On that basis ‘history’ now should probably stop at circa 1900 so ‘black history’ doesn’t exist yet.

Bringing the timeline too far forward brings us into the era of politics, which of course is the real reason why they want Abbott and Lammy to become historical figures.

History as an academic subject should really be beyond living memory.

Those that live longest get the last word and then there are also problems with libel, no-one wants to end up in court even if they are right.

Time is also needed to give a sense of perspective. Diane Abbott and David Lammy might make the news now but in 100 years they will hardly be worth a footnote on present form.

I keep thinking of a book I had to read when I was at uni, back in the dark ages: Herbert Marcuse – ‘One Dimensional Man’.
I know entirely what Marcuse’s intentions were, so I disagree with them (and his goal) absolutely. But his analysis was brilliant. Strange contradiction.
Marcuse was right about the media trying to create a one-dimensional man, but wrong about the entire future context. (A lot of his economic analysis- on the creation of false needs- cannot be argued with, however.)
Take the ‘white supremacy’ thing Trump is being accused of. In a democratic, merit-based Free Enterprise state like the US, what does ‘white supremacy’ actually mean? To me it is actually devoid of meaning. Is language being abused?
For that matter, why must we have a ‘black history’ month? Nobody has tried to write black history out of the script. Or is black history really a pretext for promoting Black Power? Is language being abused? (Is this all about the power to persuade? That would be very Marcuse).
If so, why is the ‘impartial’ bbc so keen on explicitly promoting it? Is whitey supposed to start knuckling under? Lotsa unwilling consumers there! Marcuse again.
    Linguistic analysis is crucial!
One-dimensional language is everywhere, Marcuse would say. And, he would be right.

Do you notice that when politicians sin they don’t automatically resign – as people with a moral code would do ?

They hand craft some sort of written statement which has been reviewed and edited and shaped

Usually they make some kind of public statement – with the wifes or kids present ( this SNP droid can swerve that one )

Then they hunker down and see if they can get away with it .

How this character thinks she can ever set foot in thr commons and look the speaker in the face is beyond me .

I don’t know what the snp majority is in her constituency but a covid bi election will be – challenging – and I suppose it will all be done by postal voting .

In the future you need the best person for the job, and that might well be the sinner, she might have the incentive to do the best job.
Sure they made an error, but you can’t change the past.
The additional problem is that getting sackings gets weaponised.
A gov puts a good person in a job and then the dark forces would spend all their time trying to get a gotcha to get them automatically sacked.

The app does not require the internet, or communicate with NHS servers or other devices via Bluetooth.

Guest, that post I understood. 😉 without having to click on the Tweet 🙂 Hooray!

I would add that the dancing didn’t go well too well for Kinnock at Conference time, though, did it?

TOADY Watch #1 – Another day, another witchhunt

I hold no brief for the SNP. In fact, I rather resent their opposition to Brexit and their obviously racist treatment of the English of which I count myself one, despite some Scots blood flowing in the ancestral and my ancient veins. Add to that their constant threats to break-up the UK, a Union that has benefitted the Scots far more than the rest of the UK.

While I’m relieved that it’s not a Government Minister who has breached the Covid rules, I do wish that we could give up this media feeding frenzy for a scalp.

Bearing in mind the love for all things SNP from the BBC after the Brexit vote and again at the start of the Pandemic, it’s a bit surprising the Beeb have joined in so enthusiastically with the media feeding frenzy.

Four out of five people reporting loss of sense of smell or taste had coronavirus antibodies in a UK study.

Guest, LOL. Of course, absolutely no-one is asking questions about that at the BBC, especially on Radio4.

      Here are some more:

      – Did the Chinese deliberately create the SARS-1 and the SARS-2 viruses?

      – Were the Chinese also behind Mexican Swine ‘flu’?

      – The funny ‘flu’ that had all the right symptoms but not necessarily in the right order or full strength, that has left people with permanent coughs, was that down to the Chinese as well?

      – Is there a new variant Covid-20 out now for winter 2020/21?

Come on, BBC, get your act together. You are meant to be stuffed full of journalists who ask questions.

No newspaper review this morning. In fact, this may well be my last ever post hereabouts. A resignation note of sorts.
I cancelled my TV licence last year [hip hip hurray!]
Like many, I’m sure, I once actually enjoyed and admired much of the content that the BBC broadcast even a decade or so ago. For that reason the accelerating descent into bias has been not only an important current political issue but feels akin to a personal betrayal of past loyalty. The hollowing out of a once-loved institution. Call the process Cultural Marxism or call it Globalist Corporatism, the effect is to destroy something that was formerly unifying and particular for a people in a time and place. But before this all turns into a dissertation…
The straw that broke the camel’s back being the pay disputes with female presents and specifically the award of compensatory payments I was not willing to fund.
Post-licence my consumption of BBC broadcast product was reduced to the minimum of glancing at their on-line news, even so the biased material about which to report and share at this location was still abundant. An abundance of bias which, in itself, is a problem. The phrase shooting fish in a barrel comes to mind.
No matter. It is important that the bias is noted somewhere. I alighted on the BBC’s handy daily reproduction of most of our national newspaper front pages as a less considered source of mainstream media attitudes ripe for perusal. Because – if we are realistic – it is not simply the BBC which is the problem, although that’s our main focus, the umbrella issue. My indulgence in a daily press review was personally cathartic and with all due modesty I tried to share some degree of humour and satire. Comic, ironic (perhaps bathetic?) jam to sweeten the bread and butter of right of centre counter-cultural views. The assumption being that Biased BBC provided a meeting place for a generally culturally conservative-minded community, broadly receptive to a slightly wider range of issues.
And now I’ve already committed what I have been given to understand are the multiple sins of producing an overly long item risking the taxing of the patience of a moderator, I’ve strayed away from a strict focus on BBC bias, and maybe not sufficiently labelled my piece. Unless readers follow avidly every jot and tittle of recent postings they will not get those references. Never mind. Suffice to say it feels like time to flounce off into the sunset (if it were evening).
The straw that broke the camel’s back, you ask?

Well done for the summaries . They will , I’m sure , be missed . I used to do a ‘toady watch’ when I listened to it -but stopped a great deal of BBC input and -naturally – my TV licence went years ago . I’m glad others still do the watch as the evidence of bias is needed each day . Thanks again .

You certainly chose a day to stop – and if you change your mind carry on .

AISI, am glad you cancelled your TV Licence. It is the only message that the BBC will get and understand that the population of the UK are not happy with the BBC. In that respect, the BBC are just like the EU. Completely deaf. Completely inflexible.

I am devastated that you will not be doing your newspaper reviews any more. I enjoyed reading those. They were indeed witty, refreshing and pointed up the biases and absurdaties of the MSM of which the BBC is a major part.

      Please reconsider.

AsI, your resume of the papers is an assurance that we are getting the balance of the news correctly, which is something the BBC just don’t do these days!

Also, by reading your piece each day, I just assumed that you had paid-for access to those papers which don’t let you read their columns, which is something I don’t do for economic reasons!

Of course the BBC site is free, but I hardly ever bother, as it’s never impartial, always biased to things like ‘diversity’, and ‘equality’ (oxymoron?), so I rely on proper comments here!

As ‘sleepless in Kent’, I can quite like Dotun on R5Nearly dead, who does try to be interesting, and one or two others are passable, now Rhod Sharpe doesn’t have all his New England mates chuntering away with boring repetition, so again, you’ve taken the nine yards to be helpful, informative and funny as well!

So don’t you dare to leave us – er – please…:0)

AsISeeIt – please stay. I enjoy reading your comments and am also grateful for your links. I too am interested in the wider issue but recognise what this site is for. Others can create blogs linked to this site and post more general stuff there or more specific stuff there. I am interested in the BBC because of its influence, the fact that it is paid for by the taxpayers, that it now forms a significant element in the “culture war”, and that its website is accessible without a TV Licence (I don’t have a TV licence). My main interest is in the “culture war” which I see as the end of the enlightenment period of Western culture towards an Orwellian society or a new period of major conflict. I am developing theories of society and hope one day to write about it assuming we still have free speech.

Ps. I view this site as a resource that documents the bbc bias from concerned individuals or individuals astonished at what the BBC are producing. It can be used as a starting point for others to create their own blogs / website platforms if they are prepared to put in the time and effort to do so – forming a linked site but with a different focus or structure.

BBC WEB-SITE Watch #1 – There ain’t no respec’ no more!

Even though the poor bloke is ill, the BBC cannot bear to refer to Trump as President Trump. There is plenty of room under the pic for ‘President Trump and his wife test positive for coronavirus.’

    And why the obfuscation, BBC?

The President had a test for Covid-19 that was positive. He has Covid-19. Yes, Covid-19 is a coronavirus but so is influenza – in all its varieties – so is the common cold – again, in all of its varieties and a load of other germs as well. Please let us have some precision as well as respect in BBC reporting.

The democrats will be pleased . They can put joey Biden in a box for at least two weeks – and if he has covid – even longer .

The attention will switch to the ‘number 2s’ and I think Mr Pence is one of those people who does ‘detail ‘ . …

    Popcorn shares surge ….

I could do all that ‘sympathy ‘ stuff but won’t because I don’t have sympathy for politicians – on that note – how is that SNP woman ? Who else has she infected ? Are the MSM outside her house ? How is the Scottish media taking it ? Has crankie spoken on it yet ?

Fed, I confess. The wicked thought did cross my mind that it might be a ‘cunning little plan’ from the President who is after all, a media sleb and a businessman. All’s fair in love, war, politics, business and getting one over other actors, presenters and journos.

Mike Pence may have some attention thrown onto his Christian faith which will help stir up some US voters. Don’t know Kamala Harris’s standing on same. – Info: just checked her Wiki (usual disclaimers) Kamala Harris attends a Baptist Church but not the Heinz 57-varieties of Southern Baptist Convention Her church is part of a different federation. Just attending church doesn’t make her a Christian though.

As well as avoiding the BBC I’ve also cut down on the Twitter – I’ve discovered online video games at an ‘advancing ‘ age which I feel have improved my response times and thinking times …..

I’m guessing mr Biden will test positive for Covid – whether he has it or not in order to pass the ‘blame ‘ to mr trump . I think dirty most of the time – after a career of witnessing it – so I still play the ‘next move ‘ game .

I mentioned here a few days ago that the DNC would be looking for a reason to shut Biden away – now they have one .
