Biden first ran for President in 1987/8. He’s been in national politics for 50 years.Irrespective of the wider politics, this is an extraordinary personal achievement.
In Harris the republic now has its highest ranking woman in history. And a minority woman at that. Historic.
People sometimes ask me what it is I love so much about elections. There‘s so many reasons. But the best is probably that magical feeling in the air right now: no-one knows what’s going to happen. Power is no longer with with politicians. For this one day, they’re not in control.
Kat Gocha Question Burley
..didn’t do much homework o Gorka ploughed through her
eg in the middle she asserted
that “the Proud Boy are a Far right group”
Gorka “Who is their leader ”
Burley “I know nothing about them”
Gorka “So you think far right groups have non-white leaders, don’t be ridiculous”
Seb Gorka is a very sharp knife in the box and any UK TV journo would need to be ‘on game’ to take him on —- I would love to see him interviewed by Meeshall or the Bee Lady on `Toady … he’d rip them another hole…
I remember him being interviewed on Newsnight by Evan Davis a few years ago. Davis attempted a few of his usual snotty digs and got absolutely slaughtered in the process. It was like he’d been run over by a truck.
You could say Evan’s hole was well and truly ripped.
Um…
When I feel pessimistic about politics I usually can get a fix of Dr Steve Turley on Turley Talks. It didn’t work today. I’ve got a bad feeling about this. Trump did not handle the Covid 19 issue well.
He may have lost just enough support to lose this election. I am sceptical of the red surge. Very sceptical.
Funny isn’t it – although we are thinking about another country – I have the same feeling I had before the last election – it went “ how could anyone vote for Corbyn ?” And despite my pessimism knew the people wouldn’t do it .
I feel the same about Biden now – unless their counting system is so faulted across states that the election is won by massive fraud …
Is this the daughter of the late Brian Hanrahan (once satirized in a comedy show as “Brian O’Hanra-Hanrahan”) who died in 2010? According to Wiki, he had a daughter called Catherine (not Caitlin) and a quick search has shed no light on whether they are related.
I was going to stay up to watch the BBC coverage but saw that it wasnt really brillow but actually the horrible BBC pair i switched off for a few hours ..
I have just watched Steve Turley’s latest bulletin. According to him the Democrat campaign team have given up on winning Florida and Pennsylvania. This is good news if correct. Hmmm.
I think Dr Steve would have been able to put a positive spin on the sinking of HMS Hood by the Bismarck had he been around at the time.
But here’s hoping.
I turned on R4 (LW) at midnight for some news. The BBC are doing some multi-channel thing. After some brief headlines, it was straight on to an interview with Mary Trump, who recently trashed Donald in a book. She was predictably critical and negative, with no acknowledgement of any possibility of voting fraud by Democrats but plenty on alleged voter suppression by Republicans. Not a promising start …
Republicans to win Florida gone from 5/6 in to 1/5 in the space of fifteen minutes ???? Would be a nice start!
Also Trump to win shortening all the time ????
Beeboid on radio asking Mick Vulvany about the state of US democracy, in that Trump can spend four years behaving like he does, yet still people vote for him?!?!
The major networks in the States are refusing to call Florida for Trump even though he leads by 400,000 votes with 99% counted – pure gaslighting. Pennsylvania and Michigan also looking good, 10 points up in each state.
Outside the WH, there’s a crowd of mainly kids, all spoiling for a fight according to the BBC. US Plod have already jumped on one of them, and a few ‘HoHoHos’ have been directed at various persons inside that lovely building!
Reminds me of Grosvenor Square…
(I was in the ‘Barley Mow’, in Duke Street, with several chums back then. When we realised that things were getting serious, we had a few more pints, then wandered outside to see that our car was going to be the next one towed away…)!
These kids in the US don’t understand how to ruin a good lunch!
Betting seems to be shortening by the hour for Mr Trump!
Please excuse my ignorance, but as the West Coast is in a different time zone, does that mean that the polls close that much later to make a difference?
Trump became the bookmakers’ favourite about an hour and a half ago. He was projected to win 303 by the amazingly accurate Trafalgar Group, although he’s currently behind in Arizona but looks likely to win Wisconsin which are two states Trafalgar had the other way. It’s looking very good, and he has a huge lead in PA, but it’s imperative he gets as many pointso on the board tonight as possible as the Dems will do their best to cheat him out of Pennsylvania and possibly North Carolina.

Donald Trump and Joe Biden during the final TV debate
If you’re hoping to find out the outcome of the US election, head straight to our live page for the latest. As News Daily goes to press the result is on a knife-edge. Donald Trump is so far doing much better than the pollsters predicted but, as expected, it’s all going to come down to what happens in key battleground states. Those include Ohio, Texas and Florida – leaning Mr Trump’s way – and Arizona – where challenger Joe Biden appears to have a lead in a once reliably conservative stronghold. Other so-called swing states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and North Carolina are too close to call. Turnout is likely to be the highest for a century.
Our correspondent Anthony Zurcher says the early and mail-in votes trended toward Mr Biden – as predicted – while the election-day results have favoured Mr Trump. The outcome in Arizona could be crucial, he adds – this is why. Addressing a socially distanced rally in Delaware, Mr Biden told supporters to “keep the faith”, adding: “We feel good about where we are. We believe we are on track to win this election.” As his rival spoke, Donald Trump tweeted: “We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the election.” He has long been critical of the voting system – read more on that.
The race for the White House has been long and bitter – here are the highlights, if that’s the right word. Control of Congress is also at stake – that’s the part of the US government that writes and passes laws, and can make all the difference to what a president is and isn’t able to do while in office.
We have charts showing all the latest data, and if the whole thing just feels overwhelming, read our very simple guide to the election.
Katy waiting for mr trump to speak …. really letting he anti trump feelings out … Andrew neill going’ liberal ‘ over accusations of totalitarianism ….. he is as in the swamp as anyone – but I suppose he has to make the right noises fir OFCOM and his new non BBC income stream – the new TV channel …. which many are hopeful for but now seems not so much ….
BBC social media is intriguing. As are their primary audience, who are not crazy, sources say.
***
If he wins, I am going to find a very quiet part of this world and live, because it will impact on us here. I am not crazy, but I actually think that the Devil rules the world and I am done. All the suffering this man has caused and if he is voted in God help the world, because we haven’t seen nothing yet.
***
It has continually intrigued that all they have is their hate for a man.
This was the claim last time.
He has not started any new wars, and appears to have assisted in easing tensions elsewhere.
Katy calls mr trump a liar – not unusual . Her hatred for him is visceral and she just can suppress it . Mr Trump has called on vote counting to stop and the Supreme Court to step in .
The coverage of such an important statement was technically bad – including a camera pointed at mrs trump alone whilst her husband spoke ….
The Democrats and their media allies have tried several tricks in the last 24 hours. After their shenanigans in Pennsylvania didn’t work (Trump is up by over 700k votes with only 500,000 postal votes left to check), Fox News called Arizona when there were still well over a million votes to count and Biden led by less than 150k. Then there’s confusion around Georgia, where the NYT claims there are still hundreds of thousands of votes left from Atlanta which could overtake Trump, yet everywhere else states that over 99% of their votes have been counted, so who knows what’s correct. And Trump was also leading Wisconsin by 100k with Milwaukee left, which decided they weren’t going to count tonight – how convenient.
Twitter is predictably awash with leftists calling Trump ‘fascist’ and an ‘autocrat’ for wanting election integrity maintained. He is quite correct that it’s ridiculous to still be counting votes days after an election date that’s been known for years in advance. This has nothing to do with the COVID situation, either – the Democrats have been doing this for decades.
Whatever the outcome, it’s yet another embarrassment for the BBC and the liberal media who claimed Biden was a certainty.
Trump says he has already won and that there is ‘a fraud’ going on – remember millions of votes have not yet been counted – it is just not credible to make that claim, there is no evidence of such a ‘fraud’ and it is incredible such claims being made from the White House
Another ‘North American correspondent ‘ has popped up – this time it is some one called Barbara ‘bags ‘ plett – usher who looks like she is wearing a dressing gown and just got up – yes I know it’s ‘personal ‘ but she just looks like a lefty as well as sounding like one ….
Then of course it is to a friend of Clinton – so Katy can relax and have a nice chat with a ‘friend ‘….
For some god knows reason the foreign Secretary of the UK has gone on BBC TV to be asked questions he must refuse to answer – such as ‘calling the president out ‘ – to which mr Raab tells Katy she is now campaigning not reporting – how true ….
The BBC news is now calling President Trump a liar by reporting him as saying something untrue …. I don’t think I’ve seen such an overt biased statement on TV news – usually there is a nuance – but if it was written by another dusky girl BBC droid called ‘Tina ‘ then maybe hat might explain the clear. Anti trump bias …
Incidentally Mr Raab put Brillo in his box as a ‘pundit ‘ – which he is … Brillo is just a journo – doesn’t achieve anything – apart from reporting on others who do…. a bit too grand too often …
“With millions of legitimate ballots left to count, Donald Trump has declared an unsupported victory.
“Frankly we did win this election,” he claims, speaking in subdued tone. He suggests – without evidence – that election “fraud” has occurred.
“This is an embarrassment to our country,” he says, adding that he plans to go to the Supreme Court to fight election results.
Millions of votes in the 2020 election are yet to be counted and the president has no credibility in claiming a victory.”
Notice again how this is not presented as an opinion piece but as fact. It’s not a quote from someone they’re reporting, it’s their absolute editorial line. This is in spite of the several instances of provable election fraud and voter suppression already discussed on these boards. Ignore your own lying eyes and common sense – it’s just fact in BBC land that there is no voter fraud and all remaining ballots are legitimate.
It’s like they’re trying to cause civil unrest, which is the opposite of their Charter.
Guest. Thank you for posting this . I assume it is real – and if so demonstrates that the BBC – itself – recognises its’ people are biased – so badly that they have to have a ‘guide ‘… defund the
Democrat Broadcasting Corporation .
I think I have been watching BBC coverage for over 2 hours and not a single Republican trump supporter has been interviewed – only Nigel Farage – who is a foreigner …not a US voter …. or resident …

If he wins, I am going to find a very quiet part of this world and live, because it will impact on us here. I am not crazy, but I actually think that the Devil rules the world and I am done. All the suffering this man has caused and if he is voted in God help the world, because we haven’t seen nothing yet.

It has continually intrigued that all they have is their hate for a man.
This was the claim last time.
He has not started any new wars, and appears to have assisted in easing tensions elsewhere.
What are these folk on?

Katy calls mr trump a liar – not unusual . Her hatred for him is visceral and she just can suppress it . Mr Trump has called on vote counting to stop and the Supreme Court to step in .
The coverage of such an important statement was technically bad – including a camera pointed at mrs trump alone whilst her husband spoke ….

For those of us who don’t have the stomach to go near the media this morning, what’s that all about?

If Biden wins, would he need a morning off to queue at the post office for his pension?

Another ‘North American correspondent ‘ has popped up – this time it is some one called Barbara ‘bags ‘ plett – usher who looks like she is wearing a dressing gown and just got up – yes I know it’s ‘personal ‘ but she just looks like a lefty as well as sounding like one ….
Then of course it is to a friend of Clinton – so Katy can relax and have a nice chat with a ‘friend ‘….

Why did the counting stop?
The Dem fraud continues, aided and abetted by the media, including of course the BBC.
Expect the shooting to start.

From the live text feed:
Trump: ‘We’re going to the Supreme Court’

Has a blue tick. That means?
Meanwhile I am off to work and frankly the media has turned a SNAFU into a Cluster FUBAR already so may tune out until the dust has settled.
This sums it up.
