Midweek Thread 23 December 2020

The season of announcing U turns and general bad news – such as a Tier 4,5, 6… or keeping failure to have a TV Licence a crime if you still watch TV . But year on year less people are watching or paying for the BBC because of the Far Left propaganda machine it has become .

    Could I be first?
I am trying to work out who the BBC hates more?

Is it A- The working-class people of our country, especially if you are white and heterosexual?

Or B- The tory Government and Boris?

I used to think that it would be a hard choice between both because we know that the BBC are against us working class folk and only seem interested in pushing diversity and their woke agenda.

They also have been relentlessly against Boris and the conservatives especially when it comes to Brexit and they have been actively supporting Labour and the left.

The strange thing is that now I think that the answer is mainly A.

The reason I say this is because the news and the so-called journalists on beep just tell us just what Boris wants us to hear about this Chinese virus, the BBC like to push the narrative about how lockdowns are what we need to do, how dangerous this Chinese virus is, how if we don’t all get made prisoners in our own homes how bad it will be….

The BBC used to seek the truth (many years ago) and hold politicians to account but no, with this Chinese virus they don’t challenge anything that comes from the government.

Why are they not asking the government to show us hard evidence of why lockdowns are necessary when this virus’s fatality rate is so low?

Why are they not speaking to scientists (there are many) who oppose SAGE and warn that lockdowns are terrible?

Why are they not asking the government to show us the true costs of lockdowns in deaths and domestic abuse, suicides, the list goes on? they didn’t even bother to question the recent report the gov published on this which was clearly whitewashed

Why are they not investigating the false positive Covid tests or why doctors are having to record deaths due to Covid when in fact it was a likely natural death, the person just died with this virus.

If the BBC were impartial, and cared about the whole of the UK they would ask these questions but they do not.

This leads me to conclude that the BBC is a mouthpiece of the government and the sad thing is many people watch/listen to the BBC and believe their nonsense and lies.

If this is true, it’s the estaishment and government who are forcing these Covid stupid unnecessary rules on us all and the BBC are complacent and promoting it…..

People need to expose what’s going on and this website and the amazing people behind it and all us who contribute are part of the revolution.

Back to my original question, Yes the BBC hates us all on here because we are working class people who love our country and don’t want it more ruined that it already is. BUT BBC I hate you and will never pay your tax and will hold you to account as much as I can.

    Rant over.

I think it is more simple than that : they just despise those with different opinions.
As common sense started to prevail over Brexit where the real-world Trumped their theoretical Marxist state (like what I did there ?), their absolutely typical left-wing intolerance to opposing views means they have become increasingly bitter and spiteful. I see many stories now where the only intent I can see is try and rub salt into wounds.
They now despise the working-class because they voted for Brexit and Trump. They are as shallow as that. The scandal around ‘equal pay’ at the BBC showed just what hypocrites they are. One rule for them, another for the plebs.
If every person who didn’t share their views disappeared overnight (to a Gulag if they had their choice) they would then turn on the minorities who are such useful idiots for now. The Left are shallow, selfish people who need someone to hate.
I’ve come to this conclusion after watching them lose control both in politics and on forums. Their facade of morale supriority was pulled off like a blanket and what we saw underneath was quite disgusting. This – for me – was Brexits greatest gift. Whether we actuall ever left or not. That genie can never go back in the bottle.

As so many notable ologist’s from the mass amount I have read say that Lockdowns do not work on any front-the action to lockdown simply supresses the virus until the lockdown is allowed to drop away. Better, as long as those most vunerable are looked after, to allow everyone else to get on with their lives-the UK is apart from £trillions in debt, slowly dying, no matter we all are trying dam hard to make something of the festive season upon us-doom and gloom coming out from those members of Sage (narrow minds) and the media’s headed by the BBC, continual implication that all is not well with the nation, meaningless figures shoved out us night after night-never a good word of support for Brexit, only its impending disaster as they see it, then to have that weasel Blair spouting out on the radio, made me sick so I swtiched it off, oh what bliss! Good luck to you all, take a break and have a kitkat.

I think there ia a little more to it than that.

The BBC just had Jonathon Ashworth on, Shadow Health Minister.

He effectively demanded that the Boris shouldn’t try to analyse the data and decide what steps are needed but to just follow the orders issued by the health professionals, whatever that might be including a National Lockdown.

This of course would fall nicely into the hands of the Labour Party who the BBC actively support as it would dilute the power of the Conservatives and make them look like ineffective lapdogs.

The BBC want nothing to do with alternative medical viewpoints and evidence as it would simply get in the way of longer term their plans to unseat Boris.

Well said. But the fate of the BBC lies in the hands of the 20 million plus folks who pay the License Fee. If even 5% of them refused to pay on principle there would be nothing that the government or the BBC could do about it. The courts would be swamped many times over. This would immediately cause many others to refuse to pay , some out of principle and some who don’t see why they shouldn’t jump on the bandwagon and get a free ride whilst watching strictly and the crisp man. The BBC finances would collapse within a few months or even weeks and it would be forced to appeal to the government to become a subscription only service. Our job would be done.
The first hundred thousand refuseniks would be the heroes who saved the country from Wokism , the vanguard of the silent majority . When will the vanguard step forward?

Many years ago, the BBC created a comedy series about a working class man who voted Conservative. He was called Alf Garnett. He was a London docker and a West Ham supporter. Oh, how the BBC laughed. His co-star became the father of Blair’s wife.

Will the BBC do a similar series about Red Wall voters? I really think they should.

Just on bbbc news at 10.

A report on the chaos in Kent caused by France refusing entry to its own citizens. Tone of the report is that it’s very much our fault, not mentioning the fact that the new variant has been around on the continent and elsewhere for weeks. Implied throughout that this is what Brexit will bring.

They’ve done a deal apparently that they can only go home if they have a negative test. Talk of bringing in the army to assist with on the spot testing in Kent.

Nobody asking who foots the bill for the extra police, the army and all the testing kits. I do hope that the flaky w@nkers in our government have insisted that the french foot the bill but I somehow doubt it!!

I was actually laughing and doing a very gallic shoulder shrug til it occurred to me that we were probably footing the bill.

Our own citizens get refused free tests unless they claim to have symptoms. Cost of private tests are anywhere between £60 and £200 each.

This lateral flow test that aren’t available to UK citizens take 20 minutes to show a result and are reported to be more accurate than PCR tests. Some trucker with an empty trailer returning to Rumania is given one for free (?) whilst a UK citizen returning from a business trip overseas has to put himself under house arrest for 10 days or pay for a private test.

If the govt tells me that the french are meeting the cost of all this then I stand corrected.

Funny how uncurious the BBC are when it comes to their cherished Religion of Terror.

In their report that Pakistani rights activist Karima Baloch has been found dead in Toronto, they gormlessly repeat the statement by Trudeau’s useless police that there were “not believed to be any suspicious circumstances”.

    WHAT??

This despite that fact that she had had to flee Pakistan because of attempts on her life, and had just recently received death threats in Canada.

Despite too the fact that many Pakistani rights activists have been killed both in Pakistan and abroad.

For example Hajid Hussain, another dissident and critic of the Pakistani regime, was found dead in Sweden, where the equally useless Swedish police ruled out any “visible wrongdoing”, and the cause of death was ruled to be drowning.

What is it about far-liberal regimes like Canada and Sweden (and the BBC) that makes them incapable of calling a spade a spade and denouncing blatant state-sponsored terror from islamic regimes?

Zee News are less squeamish than the BBC in calling Karima’s death ‘murder’ and in decrying Trudeau’s spineless kowtowing to Pakistan:

You may imagine there’s a broad range of opinion and interest reflected in our national press. In fact, as this morning’s papers tend to show, there’s quite a narrow take on events and much of the substance of the news is delusional. Even the most cursory review reveals journalistic cant and deceptions.

Every major daily title promotes to its frontpage the same story: ‘Deal struck to end port chaos but backlogs could last days’ (Telegraph) and most have an aerial photograph of: ‘Hundreds of lorries parked on runway of former RAF airfield of Manston in Kent’ (Metro).

The feebie Metro gives the photo credit to one William Edwards/Getty whilst the ‘i’ credits William Edwards/AFP.

It’s certianly a joy to truck spotters and fulfils the dream wish of some ardent Remainers. The sinister performative forshadowing of Project Fear made almost reality. Almost.

The Daily Express complains of French: ‘…treatment meted out to our truck drivers’

    “Our” truck drivers?

The FT commiserates with : ‘Long-haul lorry divers from Turkey…’ as they ‘sit down to breakfast as they wait in a truck stop off the M20 in Kent’ and the giveaway Metro seems to find: ‘Pining for home: Romanian drivers decorate temporary tree’

Let’s not attempt to quantify the problem with numbers. The Daily Mail suggests: ‘…2,800 lorries stuck in Kent’. The ‘i’ rounds the figure up to: ‘3,000 stranded in Kent in poor conditions’. Most tabloids are content to say ‘hundreds’ – which is a big enough number for the purposes of the story. The Daily Mirror attaches their reflexive epitet: ‘Tory shambles’ whilst the FT tends to think globally and goes big: ‘7,000 lorries waiting to cross’

The reality of course is a delay caused to a group of mainly foreign drivers with their foreign empty containers returning to EU destinations mainly inconveniencing their re-loading with more EU exports to the UK.

Apropos of something or other the Daily Mail offers a frontpage hint as to: ‘What to do if your parcel goes missing’

The middleclass, staunchly pro-EU, Guardian breaks ranks with the press pack but only by neglecting to feature frontpage pictures of trucks and truckers and would have us consider: ‘Border to reopen but only to EU citizens’ – one could almost hear the Guardianista playground taunts of “Ner-ner, ner-ner, ner!”

Only to EU citizens? Au contraire, says the FT: ‘France opens Channel border to drivers testing negative for Covid’

There’s something rather emblematic about the Guardian headline for the report: ‘Boohoo suppliers “paid staff 29p an hour”‘ – it’s not just the irritating persistence of scare quotes in the heading, never willing to fully commit to a fact (you’ll notice the BBC do a lot of that) – it’s likely a product of Guardianista post-modern education. There’s no truth but your own and that’s as valid as anyone’s. There’s also a sense of the elevation in importance of the journalist. He/she/they become a lawyerish advocate in the court of public opinion – attempting to convict by quote. Brandishing statements as confessions of obvious guilt.

The further point is this story, about the fast fashion loving youngsters of the west, suddenly having a moment of angst about the exploitation of third world workers and about the offending company being named so appropriately Boohoo. That’s the key word – boohoo.

TOADY Watch #1 – Oh, dear oh dear, it all goes wrong for Labour

Listening since 6 a.m., I am informed Tony Blair will be on the programme to give his ‘esteemed’ advice to the Government on vaccination. Early on in the programme the BBC relayed the information that Keir Starmer had castigated the PM and Government for not having a total lockdown earlier when he, Starmer, had advised it. There’s a surprise! Not. No mention from the BBC that the Labour Party in Wales had had a total Lockdown just after Starmer started calling for one and it did not work at all in reducing infections of Covid-19/19a/20.

I missed most of the interview with Tony Blair. Oh dear, how sad, never mind, but I did catch his final sentence. In this he was talking about the harm a total lockdown would do. Tony Blair was obviously not ‘on message’ with the Labour Party and its current leader, somebody called Keir or some such.

It was a characteristic of the Blair Government 1997-2007 that remaining ‘on message’ with the Party Leadership as an MP and especially as a Cabinet Minister, was absolutely vital.

The predictable choreography of the BBC rolling out dead politicians like blair to undermine efforts on the chinese virus or brexit gets to be frankly embarrassing . And desperate .

What the hell does blair know about dealing with real pandemics ? About as much as you or me .

The smell of experts making it up is real because they never properly planned for it or explained properly to the public .

By accident they came up with the wheeze of making us wear masks to try to get a bit of hygiene into the population . …

Fed, don’t know why I should come up with an ‘excuse’ for Blair but he dealt with two epidemics during his time as PM, SARS-1 and SARS-2. OK, not strictly pandemics but certainly a problem for south-east Asia.

But you are right, it is a noticeable BBC trait that has emerged more so now during the Pandemic but ever since the EU Referendum: undermine, undermine, undermine, attack, attack, attack. Interviews or ‘Vox Pops’, it is all the same with the BBC: undermine.

Not a pandemic but Blair was responsible for the foot and mouth outbreak. Sorry, read that as responsible during foot and mouth (I did hear rumours at the time that he ordered the virus’ release to punish country folk for the 1 million on the Countryside march but that could perhaps have been a conspiracy theory. However it is the same as Hugh Pym of the BBC asking if the new covid variant could be worse for children). Blair took advice from Neil Ferguson and his figures were proved to be woefully exaggerated.

which leads neatly to TOADY Watch #2 – a bit of a giveaway.

On the programme this morning they let slip that the new Covid variant, let’s call it Covid-20, got going in South Africa some weeks ago. Strange, that. The BBC don’t do geography these days and probably do not know that SA is a long way from GB.

There has also been a case or cases in Australia. The interesting thing is that in an early item on the programme today, there appear to be new cases of the new virus, Covid-20, in Bergamo in northern Italy. The BBC correspondent there mentioned the empty ski slopes and the devastation to the tourist trade at a peak time for Christmas ski-holidays. He also mentioned how Bergamo had been the epicentre for Covid-19 in both Italy and Europe. He added some hand-wringing for good measure about the horror for the region being repeated. Fair enough.

Now, if he is correct, what do we know about Bergamo now? The links to China?

        Coincidence?

It could be. It could be a natural mutation – occurring in different places around the world at the same time – as the virus starts to mutate and, perhaps God-willing, fade away. That might suggest it was an ‘engineered’ virus in the first place.

Or it could be significant, that Chinese connection.

We’ve seen – across the year – how entry to the UK has not been controlled at all . Oh yeah – lots of Nazi security staff seizing 300ml of hand cleaner – but no medical checks at all . Full up aircraft – uncontrolled arrivals – . I’ve seen it myself many times .

So after this – what is going to change in relation to border control ? I say ‘nothing ‘ . Free movement is more important than the general public health –

So bugs can spread quickly and uncontrolled .

I think it’s a shame that the Uk identified the variant whilst other countries stayed silent about it – knowing what the consequence of going public with it would be .

Disclosure – I’m prejudiced against airport security thugs because of the experience I had a couple of months ago where bored security staff in an empty airport virtually strip searched me in public . Fortunately I think they’ll be unemployed soon .

Sarah Champion quits Labour front bench over rape article

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-40952224

Labour shadow minister Sarah Champion has quit the party’s front bench after criticism over a newspaper article she wrote about grooming gangs.

The Rotherham MP wrote in the Sun on Friday that “Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls”.

She has now apologised for her “extremely poor choice of words” and quit as shadow equalities minister.

Jeremy Corbyn said Labour would not “demonise any particular group”.

Ms Champion’s article was written after 17 men were convicted of forcing girls in Newcastle to have sex.

    Who owns Scotland

    1999 landholdings covering 9,977,051 acres

    http://www.whoownsscotland.org.uk/

It was in 1996 that Andy Wightman published his book Who Owns Scotland, in which he identified the ownership of some 65 percent of Scotland and explored the complex power structures that derive from the ownership of land. Since then, Labour has taken over from the Tories at Westminster, the Scottish Parliament has been established and a range of land reform measures are in place for Scotland. The feudal system has been abolished, the right of access to all land is to be enshrined in law and wider community ownership of land is to be facilitated.

Yet despite this trend towards recognition of the public interest in the land resource, the Scottish Executive seems reluctant to improve public access to information about land ownership. The subject is often shrouded in secrecy, and for anyone wishing to find out just who owns what, a visit to the archives in Edinburgh is usually necessary together with one-to-one assistance from specialist staff.

Although far from complete, the project came under the spotlight in October 2003 when the Sunday Herald newspaper exposed the perfectly legal means by which large landowners are able to dodge tax, under the anachronistic system of beneficial ownership. Much of the 3-page investigation was based on Andy Wightman’s research, which has shown that it can be impossible to trace the true identities of the actual owners of huge chunks of Scotland who lurk behind nominee companies based in offshore tax havens.

Such companies can deal in British land and property without paying a penny in tax, while simultaneously receiving handouts of taxpayers’ money in the form of development grants. This system is exploited by many large estates while a further 2.5 million acres (13.1 percent of Scotland) is held in private trusts which allows the owners to avoid capital gains and inheritance taxes and stamp duty.

According to the article, an estimated £72m is lost annually to the UK Treasury through offshore ownership of rural Scotland alone. The figure would be much higher for the whole of Scotland, and for the entire UK would run into billions of pounds. If this sort of money were being lost through say, benefit fraud, the Government would put on a public show of strength to bring the offenders to heel. But with characteristic British deference to landed power, any such toughness dissolves and no-one in authority shows serious interest in stemming the haemorrhage.

Jeff Taylor quotes a Reuters article from October 29.

A coronavirus strain that emerged in Spain in June has spread across Europe and now makes up a large proportion of infections in several countries, researchers said, highlighting the role of travel in the pandemic and the need to track mutations.

The strain has crossed European borders and accounted for 40-70% of new infections in Switzerland, Ireland and the United Kingdom in September, they found.

Its frequency in the UK has continued to increase even after quarantine-free travel was discontinued and the main summer travel period ended. Thus this variant might transmit faster than competing variants.

Jeff asks where were the reports to the WHO and where were the travel bans back then?

Democrat Barack Obama’s presidential campaign launched a new website Monday that has a single purpose: to track and highlight rival Hillary Clinton’s negative comments about Obama.

The minisite, simply named Hillary Attacks, catalogs negative newspaper articles, speeches and press releases that the New York senator’s campaign has issued that the Obama campaign says are personal attacks on Obama’s character.

The site is the latest entry in a trend of specialized candidate microwebsites to refract opponents’ campaign rhetoric in a way that’s favorable to their own campaigns. Earlier this year Clinton’s campaign launched The Fact Hub, an online rapid-response site responding to rumors and speculation from the campaign trail and the blogosphere. And North Carolina Democrat John Edwards launched a tongue-in-cheek Plants for Hillary website ahead of a recent televised presidential debate. That microsite, which has since been taken down, made fun of Clinton for her campaign’s admitted planting of a question in an Iowa forum.

Several congressmen are now vowing to oppose the results of the contested states if they get that far. They need a senator to agree in order to force a vote, but there are a few who have indicated that they are likely to do so including Rand Paul. However, it may not even need to get that far as VP Pence has the authority to act, either today by informing the seven states that they cannot accept the certification because of the evidence of fraud and requesting they sit a legislative special session to appoint real electors, or on January 6th when he can toss them aside. Pence has been very quiet in the last few weeks, but it’s now assumed that he’s been working hard behind the scenes with the military units tracking the Solarwinds hack and exposing the fraud.

Biden lost his intel last Friday not because of a Christmas break as was claimed, but because his team had been given fake intelligence the day before as a test. It was then discovered that this intelligence had been leaked to China. Biden has also had a Zoom call leaked once again exposing his racism.

Wikileaks are releasing a ton of incriminating files, including video of the moon landings being staged. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the landings were faked, but certainly that most of the footage was. It’s on Bitchute but you need a VPN to view it. Other things have come back into view recently such as Adam Schiff and Chuck Schumer having credible rape claims against them and Obama being financially linked to all of this.

Congress passed an insulting stimulus bill this week which blows hundreds of billions of dollars on rubbish in other countries (including several that are hostile to the US) and gives American citiens $600 each when many of their businesses have been closed for months and congress itself is still on full pay. Trump quite rightly refused to sign it, not least because there was a provision included that would have prevented him from invoking the Insurrection Act.

Finally, Sidney Powell is heavily rumoured to be about to become a special counsel, which would allow her to impound all of the Dominion voting machines that state governors and senates are refusing to audit. Georgia’s senate has recommended decertifying the electors due to all the fraud, Wisconsin’s supreme court recommended that hundreds of thousands of ballots be thrown out due to impropriety, and there’s planety of other positive news coming from the other swing states. Again though, Pence could make this redundant by just refusing to accept them, which then wouldn’t even need a contingent vote – Trump would win 232-227 from the available electors.

Not only is this not over as the BBC and other MSM outlets are claiming, but it’s looking nigh-on impossible for Biden to be installed, which is why Pelosi made the remark yesterday that she wants to drag Trump out of the White House by his ‘little hands.’ This is a global revolution and the BBC, as usual, are on the wrong side of history.

Thanks for the update Laughing at Lefties. I’m sure it’s as accurate as every other post you’ve made since November 3rd.

“including video of the moon landings being staged.”
Are you sure this isn’t video created by U.S. TV networks for the Apollo 12 mission?
I wasn’t a cognizant being at the time but I’ve read that astronaut Alan Bean accidentally destroyed the mission’s video camera by pointing it at the sun. Thus American TV broadcast the live audio but simulated the moonwalk in the studio.

The BBC lie “that Biden is president-elect and everything’s fine and dandy.”

I suspect there are a range of psychological dynamics at play in the BBC groupthink.

      – Partly genuine ignorance of what’s going on ‘under the surface’ in the US. It’s the sort of news and views you have to actively seek out on alt-tech social media sites where beeboids fear to tread.

      – Having demonised Trump and his agenda so much, the BBC feels it’s legitimate to undermine his legitimacy at all costs.

      – A sneaking awareness that he represents views, and will implement policies that are an existential threat to all the progressive views that the BBC espouses: glabalism, leftism, wokeism, BLM/Antifa-ism, islamism, critical race theory, intersectionality, third (or fourth?) wave feminism, secularism / atheism, intellectual elitism, anti-populism, open-border internationalism, militant gayism / transism and a hundred other isms that have been weaponised against conservative nationalist principles and policies.

In other words partly genuine ignorance, partly wilful ignorance, and partly a sneaking recognition of the threat he represents to their own agenda.

Donald Trump likes what Barack Obama has to say about Hillary Clinton—not from this week when the president endorsed his likely Democratic opponent, but from how Obama attacked her in a campaign ad more than eight years ago.

“I rarely agree with President Obama- however he is 100% correct about Crooked Hillary Clinton. Great ad!” Trump tweeted,

sharing a radio ad from the contentious 2008 Democratic primary between Obama and Clinton.

BBC website has a ‘helpful’ lead about the luffewaffe flying in food to the UK – some is going to Lidl – which is nice .

I’m waiting for a comparison with the ‘Berlin Airlift ‘ but judging by the knowledge level of the kidults running the BBC website I reckon they’ll never have heard of that …..

As the French don’t over exert themselves at stopping migrants leaving their shores to come to the UK, why don’t we just ship all the lorries over to France and let the French be responsible for doing the Covid testing on their side ? why should we do it ?

I think I mentioned some of my teachers earlier, but maybe missed our history one, again, borderline psychotic and weaponised

there was a rumour that he murdered the physics teacher because he forgot the date of Queen Victoria’s birthday

The staff room was often loud with lots of shouting and police arriving

but then again, the physics teacher was often missing with mental health issues, thus I have no bloody idea about Newton or Pluto

But I still wake up in a cold sweat reciting the Corn Laws

    never did me any harm…

Just received an email to take part in a survey on the BBC. It allows you to write a comment, naturally I’ve sent a scathing one even though they’ll never listen. Go here if you wish to take part.

I notice you have to ‘sign in ‘ or ‘ register ‘ which means any admission about the TV Licence can be sent to capita for ‘investigation ‘ or ‘harassment .

Does anyone think the BBC listens to anything it doesn’t want to hear ? All you have to do is read the reply to complaints or listen to ‘feedback ‘ which I gave up on years ago …..

      Interesting, it has tracking info
Cos it was only promoted to the people they sent the email to
Here is the link without tracking info
      https://www.bbc.co.uk/send/u61149175
I note no BBC account has tweeted the link to promote it
rather it was first tweeted on dec14th by a pro-SNP account
Then tweeted by a Trans lobby account on Dec 16th

This Dover fracas is just that. France has looked foolish.

BBC/Remainers raised their hopes but they were dashed.

    Shelves are still full.

I shall pour myself a ‘Nelson’ beer anytime soon.

’tis a good time to be aboard HMS Brexit. Crack it on engine room! 🙂 🙂
