Apologies for reposting this but I think that any serious investigative journalists, such as the BBC say they are, would jump at the opportunity to investigate this, though I doubt it. With Grenfell Towers they had a ready-made opportunity to have a truly random sample of public housing; illegal sub-lets, illegal immigrants, benefit frauds and so on. Instead, total amnesty as it would be a breach of their human rights to be exposed as frauds.
“I wonder if the low take-up of vaccines for elderly BAMEs is down to only their pension books being in this country?”
I`m surprised the BBC haven`t been bragging about the Dutch finance ministry telling the world that some companies have moved there and 550 firms are “considering ” to move there DUE TO BREXIT .
But then even the BBC will realise that well over 550 haulage firms based their operations there not due to Brexit (it happened long before that ) but due to the attitude of the Department against Transport in the UK .
Because heres the real truth , BBC .
Being in any trading bloc is less than half of the story .
Being in a trading bloc does not guarantee long life and prosperity to all its citizens .
The Communists of the Warsaw Pact countries had a trading bloc called Commecon but they did not prosper .
A country`s prosperity does not rely on free trade deals or subsuming itself in a grand project .
It relies upon the business class to –do business .
And it doesn`t mean all the high tech , law , London City commerce , computers etc .
It means every business . Even a stone age business . Every business counts .
You can`t get that BBC because of you`re old fashioned funding .
You can`t get it because you`re a dinosaur .
Contains an Interesting clip about Biden’s earlier comments on Mexican immigration problems. When will the BBC show that? (Holding of breath not recommended)

Look how he stands on the foothills of fascism himself
implying that Grimes is a “fascist” for merely giving an opinion on the lefts attitude to BAME postal voting.
You are a nasty piece of work, aren’t you, @darrengrimes_ ? Listening to @BBCRadio4’s programme on the history of fascism in the UK this morning and it’s clear you fit right into that sorry lineage.
One of those two is clearly a nasty piece of work.
I just checked Andrew’s twitter feed. Exactly as expected. About as far left as you can get. Absolutely full of hate.
Speaking of academics channelling their inner speaking for the nation, Graun and bbc style, he has this RT..

We didn’t do anything. We didn’t care. We don’t care. We didn’t know he existed until he ran up a $55k bill during his vacation and then bolted leaving it for taxpayers to pick up while he signed a $105 million dollar @netflix deal.
One of the few things I’m really looking forward to when I’m old is seeing a divorced and ageing Prince Harry look at the ruins of his life and wondering where it went wrong. Reminds me of House of Cards, “You represent one talentless and discredited family and very soon you won’t represent even that. You will represent nothing. You will mean nothing. You will be nothing”
SC, I don’t share that view. Divorce is damaging. Especially when there are children. Then the damage can spread even further with new relationships for the previous partners.
Up2
Following form – i reckon when the ratings of the new edward and mrs simpson start declining theyll go for the ‘divorce – non divorce ‘ question for a while to get some funds … whether hewitts ‘ boy lands up high and dry – who cares ?
I bet the actress girl will be looking foward to any return to UK should a ‘firm’ member pop clogs . Wonder if theyll be staying in the heathrow best western for 14 days?
Fed, you have a living, walking, frowning example of divorce damage done to two young lads especially after what followed. Wills appears to have been really helped by a strong woman but Mr Sparkles, I think not; I fear for the lad.
Up2
Difficult not to be involved in some sort of reading of personal relations for people I have never met and never will – but the ‘control’ the actress lady appears to have over the Princeling is quite something … maybe she read instructions from Wallis Simpson …
Just a couple of small ones I just feel the need to point out.
Todays headline: ‘President Biden to declare major disaster’
I can’t recall offhand any time they referred to Trump as ‘President Trump’. Complete double standards.
And the second is in the article itself. The picture chosen to represent the victims ?. Of course – a black guy carrying a few bottles of water.
Isn’t this about the time they start looting ?. Or is that just after disasters in summer ?.
Point well, made. The MSM’s blind hatred of Pres Trump has no parallel. He is without doubt the most ill maligned president is history. All because he took away the presidency from a woman – Democrats like that sort of ifdiocy.
And now look at this
Has Trump derangement syndrome cost Texan lives? Back in 2017,
Secretary of Energy Rick Perry proposed paying Coal and Nuclear Power Stations to keep at least 90 days worth of coal fuel onsite, for disaster resilience.
At the time the resilience proposal was widely criticised as being a thinly disguised Trump scheme to pump government money into the coal and nuclear industries. But in hindsight, a bit more resilience might have saved Texas from days of painful electricity blackouts.
No doubt the awful BBC are gagging to get an early copy of the sleb-fest between some US interviewer (Occra Windpipe), so they can shove it in all their ‘news’ for free – that’s after the UK TV tax has depleted by several squillions to get the stuff, which most normal hard-working citizens care so little about.
Ginge and Minge buggered off over a year ago; they weren’t ‘news’ then, and are certainly not any more, but the awful BBC has to keep poking their noses in the non-story at every opportunity.
Our dear Queen is going through a rough enough time already, without that silly couple spouting botox, spelt with a double ‘L’.
Guest Who
Being allergic to TV programs I don’t watch too many. However, a few days back I did happen to catch some bloke opining that the Earth’s climate is moving north at a rate of about 5 kilometers a year.
Now, assuming that the earth isn’t flat – and I don’t think it is – and that the climate will follow the earths trajectory then isn’t it possible that in a few thousand years time, climate change will come full circle and bite us all in the arse and then repeat it’s journey. Could it be that Earth is just adhering to its natural cycle and the leftist are using it to scare us all sh–less or am I just demonstrating how fick I am?
Dead right. Climate IS cyclical, and cold will follow warm, sure as eggs is eggs. We are now coming to the end of the current inter-glacial (the Holocene) – the last one was marginally warmer (the Eemian), so it follows that the coming glaciation will be colder than the last. But these things take thousands of years, so those who try and panic us into changing our way of life because “the planet”, are barking up the wrong tree – any changes are miniscule, and unnoticeable over a generation or more.
Not driving or flying, eating bugs, and being silly will change NOTHING – what will be, will be.
Guest, it always struck me as a bit strange that a Labour Government, under Tony Blair as PM, heavily promoted Global Warming but then turned it into Climate Change as well.
They then banned smoking in workplaces but extended the pub and bar opening hours. They also allowed or even encouraged pubs and restaurants as well as private dwellings, to build garden patio areas, install outdoor gas and butane heaters and log burners (a lot of which were imported all the way from China by dirty diesel fuel burning ship) just to let people smoke cigarettes and eat and drink and socialise out of doors.
Most peculiar disconnect in the Prime Ministerial thinking there.
Couldn’t have been driven by 17% VAT on all the products sold plus the extra alcohol duties, could it?
Sadiq Khan has set up a commission on diversity. The only
thing is that it isn’t diverse at all. There is only ONE WHITE
left wing luny in it. I wouldn’t surprise me if after tearing
down all the Churchill statues in the capitol and renaming
Shaftesbury avenue Amin avenue. The ultimate shaft will
be to rename London officially Londonistan. Of course
with the complete approval of the BBC. Especially by
the news presenter yesterday who referred to us as racist WHITE
Anglo Saxon’s responsible for Harry and Meghan leaving the
country.
I wish someone would give Khan a clip around the ear and tell him that he is not the king of London but its steward, London existed before him and will exist after him too.
Not only that, London is the nation’s capital and its statues, streets and museums belong to the nation as much as to London and he has been entrusted with that stewardship.
Khan is like that tenant from hell who strips out the plumbing and wiring and burns the floorboards for heating.
TOADY Watch #1 – failing to declare eat out to help out the Dimbleby interest
John Vincent, co-founder of the Leon Restaurant chain, was a contributor to the programme in a discussion with Nick Robinson. The other co-founder mysteriously wasn’t mentioned. I wonder whether it might have been a BBC and Beeboids favourite son?
I’m struck by how alike the BBC and the Foreign Office (well named) are. Both full of appeasers, traitors and criminals (Philby and Savile spring to mind) and like minded people who despise ordinary people and worship the EU. They very much are two peas in the proverbial pod. They both drain the public purse to no good effect and have, over the years, caused untold damage to this country. The enemy within I’m afraid.
Jack – thing that worries me is the idea of giving vaccines away to bongo bongo land without any return .
The UK is well over bust – and wasting more money from the tree on some naive project to get ‘ soft power ‘ or ‘influence’ will make us look like mugs again .
But nut nut will be in boris ‘ear until he decides this is his ‘legacy to the world’ or similar crap .
Fed, our recent PM’s for about thirty years seem to have delusions of grandeur about their place and the nation’s place on the world stage. I for one would like the UK to be much quieter, working away at fixing domestic problems, doing good development work on new technology, innovating and generally keeping a lower profile. All this aggrandisement so beloved of Bojo and his predecessors is too much. Quiet pride in one’s nation, creating opportunities for all in the UK and advancement at home would be much better than all this Blairite-stylee chest-beating.
Our famous supposedly media exposure allergic couple are all over the frontpages again this morning: ‘Resolute but “sad”… Queen strips Harry of titles‘ (Express) – well I suppose constantly whining to the media about how very hard done by you are, whilst residing in a mansion in California, certainly beats cutting the opening ribbon for a church jumble sale in Sussex. Not that there’s many of those going on at present.
The Mail, as one would expect, legal battles being what they were, is critical of the pair: ‘Have they no respect?‘ whilst the Star is amusingly mocking of their pretentions: ‘Toodle pip! Publicity-shy couple to no longer do whatever it was they did before‘
The Telegraph hails a minor concession to our basic human freedoms our psychopathic government are planning: ‘Families will be able to meet next month‘ – not so all the Windsors one assumes.
Meanwhile the Daily Mail’s new frontpage power couple are Monty Don: ‘The complete gardener‘ and her indoors is former X Factor also ran, Stacey Solomon with tips on decluttering: ‘Tidy your worries away!‘
And if that traditional divide of domestic responsibilities doesn’t upset feminists, the likes of the BBC’s Emma Barnett, who even had the effrontery to call out muslims for their lack of female imams; well then, I don’t know what would. Last we heard the BBC was taking advice from muslims on how best to go about not upsetting them. As far as we know our Emma has not as yet been awarded gardening leave, nor has the BBC as yet set about decluttering Women’s Hour.
BBC prospects plummet as the left-leaning ‘i‘ catches modern media consumption trends: ‘50 best podcasts‘
The Telegraph offers: ‘Princess Latifa the mystery deepens‘ – sorry, not interested, luv.
There are an awful lot of birds and dogs in the papers this weekend. The Times takes the lead with: ‘Down boy! The good dog guide‘; the Telegraph tags along, tail wagging, with: ‘Battle of the breeds. Which dog type suits you?‘; whilst the FT, ever the champion of ‘...frustrated globetrotters…‘ cocks a leg in frustration with: ‘Dogfight for pet tickets as airline freight charges soar‘ – first world problem – as the millennials would say.
Our feathered friends are well catered in the tabloid Mirror which carries a pic captioned: ‘Going nuts. A pair of blue tits get stuck into bird feeder‘ – oh, how our tabloids have changed: ‘Free inside pocket guide to birdspotting‘.
Pick up the Express, a title out of the same stable, or should that be nest? (Reach plc) And you can get yourself the self same item: ‘Glossy pocket guide to birdspotting‘
This is commendable stuff. I’m nostalgically reminded of those I-Spy childrens’ guides. However, I doubt many modern kids will chuck in their Playstation for a pocket guide.
In further animal news the Star warns of: ‘Beaver mahem‘ – I guess it makes a change from road chaos, NHS crisis, weather devastation, etc, etc
Bill Gates in the FT presents: ‘My plan to save the planet‘ – and as kids might once have taunted their playground mates – who made you King of the World? We think back on a former all-powerful media mega-millionaire Howard Hughes and recall how he ended his days alone in his penthouse wearing Kleenex boxes for shoes.
The Express bravely expresses a touch of patriotism on their front page: ‘How British brilliance put ‘rover’ on Mars‘ – and no, this isn’t more pet pooch news. Just imagine the pet freight charges on that flight.
No such flag-waving for the formerly patriotic Times which by default appears to take Harry and Meghan’s side against the Queen: ‘Harry and Meghan hit back at loss of royal roles‘
Time for the Times to remove the royal arms from their anachronisticly British masthead?
The Times Magazine has a major feature on beauty editor Rosie Green: ‘How to heal a broken heart by the poster girl of divorce‘ – apparently she turned her break up into her brand.
I guess the suggested remedy from our modern media for broken female dreams is the pet pooch?
Asiseeit
It looks like ‘decluttering ‘ is very ‘in ‘ now and the charity shops are going to be overwhelmed if they ever reopen . The royal family have decluttered 3 now – sweaty Andy – the ginger one and the actress – that’s pretty good going ….
MSM seems to be keeping a respectful distance about speculating on what is wrong with the 99 year old one …
And I guess The Sunday’s are going to be carrying ‘leaks’ about what nut nuts husband is going to say on Monday ?
Be interesting them or the Federalist running that one on Facebook, which seems to have decided to outstrip the BBC on selective ‘fact’ checking and blocking.
Like most so called Renewables, they will provide expensive energy when you dont need, and lockdown when you do.
Moreover, as they are easily damaged in extreme cold, as they are outside on windy hills, they need to be kept warm, even when unable to generate electricity.
The good thing about gas and oil fired generators is that they are indoors, and stay warm naturally from the heat generated making electricity. They are robust, reliable, cheap, and give regulated power when needed.
Now would you buy a wind mill from a politician who claims he is an expert in not only Climate change in a 100 years, but is an expert in electricity generation too.
“EU defence ambitions still pose a threat to Global Britain’s sovereignty. Why, how & what is to be done.” @VeteransBritain paper focusing on continued civil service efforts to entangle the UK in EU Defence Union. https://t.co/FJzAbZL8bW
The politicisation of the higher civil service is one of Tony Blair’s most pernicious legacies leading to civil servants acting routinely ultra vires; and after the shocking experiences of 2016-20, a reset is very necessary because evidence shows that so many civil servants are both ideological and professional rejoiners. Veterans for Britain has warned since 2016 of specific problems of this type in respect of defence and international security and explains here why and precisely how, without active measures, the most fundamental aspects of recovered British sovereignty are still at risk of erosion by ‘alignment’ with the EU despite formal exclusion from the successful Frost/Lewis-led trade negotiation.
This article pays particular attention to the arrogant europhile Angus Lapsley, who today is the Director General (Strategy & International) at the Ministry of Defence.
If Londoners tried to be ‘less black’ there would be a LOT less people getting stabbed.
Nobody dare address the issue of racism amonst minorities. The most racist people I ever worked with – by a country mile – were Muslims. Until it’s given equal status to white racism, I will dismiss all of these people as the hypocrites they are.
Doobster78
I presume Coca Cola are telling their workers in China to be less yellow and their workers in Africa to be less black. No? They would not dare!
No more rum and Coke for me at Chistmas time.
A national newspaper reports on the relative uptake of vaccines between whitee and the coloured folk – basically whitee is over 80% pakis 70% African types 60% – in the ‘old ‘ 1-4 groups ….
…. is there some thing – I – as a whitee – am missing as to why the third world won’t take the free vaccine -? Do they want a hand out as well ? Or a food token – discounted KFC of halal stuff ?
I don’t know about “….groups…” but, all I know is that, living in Wales, still in lockdown for another 3 weeks possibly, the lockdown does not, NOT apply to Lithuanians. But I’ll bet they were around the doc’s like a shot when vaccines became available. Anything for nothing.
Hence BBC Complaints can kick off saying they can’t see it, then can’t find it then it would take too long to look. Then ban anyone persisting trying to make them.
I’ve often looked up the defintion of ‘fascism’ to use in counter arguments against the Left and I’ve noticed how certain phrase I used to see just don’t appear any more.
This is one I particularly liked:
‘and uses violence and modern techniques of [[propaganda]] and [[censorship]] to forcibly suppress political opposition’
The articles now specifically include ‘Far-Right’ in the definitions where they never used to and the above statement seems ot have disappeared completely.
It looks to me like the Left are continually redefining it so it can’t be directed at themselves.
That act itself is a form of fascist suppression.
It is well known the BBC says they are transparent and trusted. Try and persuade them to get to grips with partiality, lack of professionalism, inaccuracy and they are prone to ban one.
So such ‘freedoms’ often have odd parameters under the counter.
Thereby rendering them compromised and hence pointless.
Simply put, it’s fascism by the proper definition.
Not the definition these fascists have changed it to so it doesn’t include them.
It’s so outrageous, I can hardly believe they are getting away with it.
But I suppose the socialist/fascist Hitler did with the German people. Right up until it all started to go wrong. Then they all pretended they didn’t agree with him after all.
I see many parallels with what is happening today. History is repeating itself.
On the libmob forum someone brazenly said
‘I just put up a photo of Mussolini with an image of Trump
and now Facebook have banned me for a month’
“The question is, have I been banned just for posting a picture of Mussolini; or because I tried to juxtapose him with Trump?”
I appealed and I got an apology from FB!’
Someone replies
‘Are you sure it was the Mussolini pic that got you the ban? Surely it would be the Trump one!
The pound is currently running at £1.15 to the euro and £1.40 to the dollar – back to within pre-2016 ‘Brexit Disaster’ days. Normally trading on Fridays signals creaming off rises with all the entries a sea of red. This time they stayed green and they are still green and rising this morning.
These are significant facts to give confidence and a sense of buoyancy to UK markets – so you might think the BBC would be trumpeting the news. How about it Jack?
Yes – retail is around 1.12 tourist rate – the traitors who were talking about parity as part of project fear suddenly go quiet – talk about zoo animals not being exported because of the EU …
The BBC are presumably a little shy when it comes to the observation that the £ has appreciated against both the Dollar and the Euro by about 5% in each case since pre-Brexit deal mid-December.
They are also shy in noticing that the $ has depreciated against the pound by about 15% in the last year – a year in which the polls and MSM all cheerfully hoped Trump would lose.
So, not quite the resounding vote of confidence in Biden nor the sterling currency free-fall the BBC would have us expect (and/or in their case, no doubt hoped for)
Rufus left a note We’ve had some problems with the hosting company and they shut the server down for about an hour today
(as well as a few days ago).
I’ll be looking to move the website to a different hosting company hopefully in the next few days so there will be a bit more downtime while that happens.
I’ll update this with more info closer to the migration time.
If you are over the target, you get more flak.
So be careful.
Beeb would now consider any steps as being against its “inclusiveness” policies. There would have to be a ramp installed on said 39 steps before it can be aired again.
Heard the ‘Today’ programme this morning. Martha Kearney in her usual, earnest, breathless style (the one she reverts to when addressing anyone who is not a Conservative), talking to some wildlife photographer about his photograph of a yellow penguin (it’s true)…… came out with classic lines such as that she’s seen hordes of penguins before, a sea of black and white, etc. then asked him how he’d spotted the yellow one….
Yes they lost me too with discqus. I thought I am reasonably computer literate and know my google password but seem incapable of posting on Isthebbcbiased.
According to Beijing Joe’s ethics and morals, genocide is acceptable if you have ‘different norms’, and American values do not require him to speak out against Crimes Against Humanity.
So I guess, using the same logic, Beijing Joe would think Mr Schikelgruber’s camps were OK too.
And if we continue with further logical conclusions, under the JoeBama administration, no statues will be torn down nor shall there be any condemnations of the past, nor shall there will be any ‘reparations’ as the past lived with ‘different norms’.
The interesting aspect will be how the international liberal MSM continue to explain away Biden’s lack of any action over continued large scale Chinese HR violations. He may use words but there won’t be any action. Because as we on this site know very well he is a man the Chinese bought years ago with millions of dollars. In effect he is their man who if he doesn’t do as he is told by Beijing can be exposed and brought down any time they wish.
The MSM know this very well but such was their hatred of President Trump that they were complicit in suppressing the story. So they will now create a narrative that Biden’s words are having a powerful effect on China . Or suddenly that China’s HR violations aren’t anywhere near as bad as previously reported . The problem will be that some of more liberal elements of the MSM may not be prepared to buy into this lie. It should be interesting watching what the MSM narrative is over the next few months.
Oh what a complicated web we weave when first we practise to deceive.
Just need AOC to ponder out loud if Cuomo whacking all the biddies in her hood was a smart play, and I might fall off my chair laughing at the thought of BBC NNnananana BS spinning the fallout.
Yes, politics and relationships shouldn’t stop us from the pursuit of justice.
China is carrying out enslavement, torture, rape, forced sterilization and mass detention of Uyghurs.
Apparently BBC Scotland has interviewed and broadcast an interview with a ‘victim’ ( Alleged ) of Alex salmond but there is no indication of the lady’s identity or politics . Brillo and others are throwing fairness questions at the BBC – which can’t be bad .
What with keeping things incognito, and the avowed SNP high-profile stance on all things LBQetc, what if it should turn out to be Peter Murrell who was so sorely abused?
Another unknown string to Alec’s bow perhaps, but might this be why Krankie’s other half wants to forget their clandestine meeting?
The influence of Boris bang Carrie Symonds is growing apace – latest head to roll has only been in the job of keeping tabs on the SNP for a fortnight – fast enough for the Tory grandee Bow Group to start asking questions.
When Packham gets the job of Environment Minister things could get seriously serious.
Not BBC except that it does show their news selectivity, tone, and editorial decisions in a different light.
The NHS publish data. Here is the report for A and E in January 2021.
Perhaps not surprising, A and E attendance at 1.31 million is 38% down on the previous year. That’s about 900,000 fewer attendances.
Meanwhile emergency admissions at 445,000 were 20% lower than the previous year. Around 110,000 fewer admissions. Works out at over 3000 fewer admissions per day.
Now at its peak, coronavirus admissions were 4000 per day, but only for a few days. The monthly total was about 113,000,
In other words, the high rate of coronavirus admissions was about the same as the decline in A and E admissions.
Now i’m not saying that front line NHS workers haven’t put in a big shift in the last few weeks. But we’ve heard nothing about the almost equivalent free-ing up of A and E, and only titbits about the reduction in many other services. Is it possible the crisis was therefore rather overblown or otherwise exposed some managerial incapability?
Some proper overarching reporting on this would be welcome and dare I say educational and informative. but the statist BBC are too busy fawning over the saintly statist NHS to ask any potentially awkward questions.
Sluff
But we have been shown pictures of supposed health workers in hospital corridors doing some sort of line dancing. Maybe that’s what was meant by them being rushed off their feet.
They ask if Disqus is the best system for comenting but, of course, one can only comment on Disqus! (Bit like asking Guardian readers if the BBC needs reform – I tease).
Still ‘good for a laff’!
Disqus is better cos

#2 Tweets auto-embed
so sharing of tweets and pics is easy
I see no ads, cos I an on Chrome with AdBlock Plus
Three spelling mistakes, but can’t be bothered to check. As Maxi would say, too busy checking everyone else!

I’ve just endured the first half hour of Marcella.
The racket going on as ‘background’ music is agonising.
It’s a continuous drone of scrapes, tones, banging and tuneless tones all the time, easily as loud as any talking which means it can’t be turned down.
Obviously I’ve stopped watching it.
It seems they’ve let loose some 10 year old tone deaf child who thinks it’s trendy to have tuneless sounds blaring out.
It’s ruined whatever the series was supposed to be and I’d advise all of you to avoid it like the plague.
I suppose whoever is doing it thinks they’re being clever but it’s awful.
Just a reminder that a few weeks ago the BBC SCIENCE dept had no qualms about touting a faky climate opinion poll
where the participants were SELF SELECTING and 50% under 18s
If you have one kind of “vaccine” the first time, and you are told to have a second injection, are you given the choice of what kind, and does it matter?
There’s no escaping, no exit route… from covid jab headlines, this Sunday morning.
‘NHS to vaccinate over-50s by April 15 and… Jabs for every UK adult by July 31st‘ – screams the Mail; and: ‘All adults jabbed by end of July‘ – shrieks the Express; stabbing us with the bluntest needle of all is the Mirror: ‘All jabbed by July‘
Excuse me, could we please bear in mind, we’re human beings and not cattle or factory farmed chickens?
‘Free by summer. Every adult in UK will be offered their jab by July‘ – thank you the Sunday People. Offered being the operative word here, or so one should hope. One is please to note some humanity in your headlines. People by name and people by nature this morning.
We’ll say this for the Tory government – they appear to have solved the recurring annual NHS winter beds crisis. Ipso facto, one suspects we actually may not have seen the last of lockdowns this summer. Just you wait until next winter.
And incase the public smelt a covid rat (or should that be a bat – as the Chinese would have us believe?) and began to notice that our sainted NHS had achieved wonders as a covid-only service then here’s a heavily publicised story to persuade you differently: ‘Young lives saved by world-first surgery‘ (Times); ‘Child heart transplants: Record year for new-style operations‘ (BBC Anna Collinson & Rachael Buchanan Health correspondent and medical producer)
Well looky here… the phrase “despite the pandemic” is brazenly employed in the BBC article.
And if you thought that was brass-necked of our media then pop over to the frontpage of the Sunday Times where they stoop really really low and you’ll notice some nasty jew-baiting: ‘Covid global hotspot tucked away in north London suburb‘ – of course this is Stamford Hill and the orthodox jewish community who are – or so we learn – remarkably prone to covid. The Times employs some unpleasant phraseology: the jews “mill around” outside their local bakery. The jews have been singled out by: “The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine” – gosh, they really should only be approached wearing full PPE. Apparently the reason for this misfortune is “a sensitive question” – suffice to say we’ve all now been alerted to the jewish question.
Few headline writers want to dwell on the economic damage prefering to hold out the prospect of summer holidays: ‘Vaccine for all adults by July as hope is raised for holidays‘ (Telegraph)
And sport: ‘Ban on outdoor sport can end, top scientist urges Johnson‘ (Observer); ‘Sporting chance: UK offers to host Euros‘ (Times)
Circuses yes, but bread? Only the Observer wants to talk about the economic fall out on its frontpage: ‘Household poverty soars during pandemic‘
The Labour supporting Mirror has: ‘Keir Starmer answers your questions.. and gives his recovery plan‘ – but he’s frankly irrelevant.
I’m sorry there’s so little light relief today beside the false dawn of hysterical jab jabber in the press.
The Star tells us Les Dawson’s ghost is keeping an eye on his new grandson. Must be a very quiet weekend for celebrity news.
The only report to raise as much as a semblance of a smile is in the Sunday Times Magazine: ‘What I’ve learnt about marriage by Kim Kardashian’s divorce lawyer‘
Aisi
I thought the most warming report – apart from the royal family going American again – was the ‘threat ‘ of a serious flu epidemic next winter – which I think was in the DT or Mail – doom and gloom sell papers I guess .
As for your comment about the Stamford hill,Jewish community – I wonder if intrepid reporters are going around the country reporting on other hotspots…. such as various third worlders ? Some how – I think not – that would be racist wouldn’t it ?
Meanwhile they’ll happily report the government ‘failing ‘ to get ‘certain communities ‘ jabbed ….
Precisely, I’m afraid the jews are just going to have to take one for the team – community-wise. I note, courtesy of other posts hereabouts, the Sikhs are not quite immune. Other rules will apply despite (or rather because of) Windrush and jihad.
On Toady on Sunday there was a feature about religious responses to the Climate Crisis (the BBC take that description as a given, one might say gospel).
The Christian representative said she was involved in an initiative to do re-wilding of church land.
Unfortunately she could not have known that the immediately preceding feature was about Justin Welby’s latest initiative to concrete over it !!! He wants to sell off church land to build affordable houses!!
So which virtuous policy goes first?
Needless to say, with two SJW policies in play, the BBC did not ask.
R4 religion show blurb
– This week the Catholic Church in England announced new action on climate change, to be led by the diocese of Salford.
– The Church of England too has pledged zero carbon emissions by 2030.
– And the Islamic Relief charity is helping Muslims aim for an “eco-Ramadan” this year.
But are young worshippers impressed with these measures?
Recent research suggested young Christians at least are not.
What will it take for religion to achieve anything meaningful in the battle against global warming?
They take the line that the faithful want more action

Apologies for reposting this but I think that any serious investigative journalists, such as the BBC say they are, would jump at the opportunity to investigate this, though I doubt it. With Grenfell Towers they had a ready-made opportunity to have a truly random sample of public housing; illegal sub-lets, illegal immigrants, benefit frauds and so on. Instead, total amnesty as it would be a breach of their human rights to be exposed as frauds.

But in hindsight, a bit more resilience might have saved Texas from days of painful electricity blackouts.
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2021/02/20/the-trump-energy-resilience-plan-which-would-have-saved-texas/
I will wager, after a few months, a dementia stricken fake president will implement the policy and claim as his.

The BBC are presumably a little shy when it comes to the observation that the £ has appreciated against both the Dollar and the Euro by about 5% in each case since pre-Brexit deal mid-December.
They are also shy in noticing that the $ has depreciated against the pound by about 15% in the last year – a year in which the polls and MSM all cheerfully hoped Trump would lose.
So, not quite the resounding vote of confidence in Biden nor the sterling currency free-fall the BBC would have us expect (and/or in their case, no doubt hoped for)

OK, I think I get it.

I think she’s picking her cabinet soon.
I wonder who she will get rid of and who she will allow Boris to keep in the upcoming reshuffle.

Not BBC except that it does show their news selectivity, tone, and editorial decisions in a different light.
The NHS publish data. Here is the report for A and E in January 2021.
Click to access Statistical-commentary-January-2021-jf8hj.pdf

But we have been shown pictures of supposed health workers in hospital corridors doing some sort of line dancing. Maybe that’s what was meant by them being rushed off their feet.

The entire BBC is rotten. Period.

It is simply a playground for ideologues to pursue vendettas in the name of ‘jurnalism’, with zero accountability.

OK, it’s ITV and not the bbbc but….

‘scuse me BBC. Is this news? No records broken really. But hey, a woman has done something, so it is a headline.
And, she wears a mask when on a boat. How so right-on for the BBC with their love of Covid and a chance to destroy Capitalism.
To the BBC, XR and BLM are failing. But, Covid could hopefully in their Marxist world, destroy Capitalism.

‘certain communities’
Precisely, I’m afraid the jews are just going to have to take one for the team – community-wise. I note, courtesy of other posts hereabouts, the Sikhs are not quite immune. Other rules will apply despite (or rather because of) Windrush and jihad.

When virtue-signallers collide.

They take the line that the faithful want more action
but we know polls are rigged, by the activists who commission them.

…. somehow I can’t exactly see world muslim leaders banning the hajj to Mecca at the end of Ramadan this year, in the name of eco-friendliness.
