There’s a similar situation in local government. There used to be a magazine purely for local government personnel, called The Municipal Journal, carried lots of do nothing job adverts at funny money.. A cartoon on the back page was called “Behind the Chair” a light hearted look at a Council Chief Executive’s day. I remember one issue had the CEO’S secretary saying, “You know that LG employees can take 14 days sick leave in any one year without any questions asked? Yes says the CEO, well says the secretary, I didn’t take any sick days last year, can I carry my 14 days forward?
I actually worked with people like this!
Northern – I’ve had a version of that training .if you have solid views in the first place you can nod your way through – get the silly certificate and carry on – but more skilled in how to subvert their system of positive discrimination and the like ….
…. the manipulation was quite crude and one could spot the various levels of cynicism in the group …. but better than working and the food budget was pretty impressive ….a whole 6 days residential …
The problem is that they will be interviewed by BBC senior staff who will only select those with the desired political opinions.
And I can just imagine how the current BBC staff will consider themselve superior to all these new plebs.
It has no chance whatsoever of succeeding. It will only make some working class people think they have made it to middle class and become unsufferable to their families.
One is reminded of the declaration of working class by the delightful young blonde moppet at the door of her council flat, in response to a claim by Lord Prescott.
“50% of all gay employees to be ‘out’”
On this basis around 10,000 staff will be stationed in Orkney.
TV stats : AFAIK the UK media industry gets very poor stats
Top shows mostly get under 10% of the population
As Channel 4’s acclaimed Aids drama #ItsASin bows out with 1m viewers last night
(don’t worry, with pre-tx & catch up viewing added, final audience will be nearer 5m!),
That’s from the Liam Hamilton account that tweets viewing stats
Saturday #SaturdayNightTakeaway fronted by the peerless @antanddec, an average of 7.3m viewers between 7 & 8.35pm
Finale of 8 part BBC1 drama #TheSerpent closes with relatively anaemic ‘live’ audience of 2.2m viewers but because BBC made the entire series available on @BBCiPlayer
a similar number had seen it pre-tx.
By this time next week with catch up viewing I expect total audience of 6m+?
Feb 14
Huge audience for the final of #MaskedSingerUK , a highest ever 8.6m viewers, & well over 10m for the final unmasking
The most watched weekday shows are always Local News on BBC and ITV .. with 6 to 7 million viewers
On Guido a commenter summarises the Alex Salmond , Nicola Sturgeon case
– The Crown Office, through the Lord Advocate ( who sits in the SG cabinet) has been blocking all this evidence and prosecuting the few journalists who have been revealing all this
– The BBC is up to its neck in trying to keep this quiet and smear AS – just look at Kirsty Wark’s hatchet job documentary and the recent interview with one of the “victims”
– In short NS has used the organs of state to stitch up and jail a political rival and then used those same organs of state to cover it up.
Well, as I don’t watch much from BBC these days, I occasionally watch ‘Repair Shop, although I can never see the point of the host Jay.
It has been pointed out here before, he never seems to anything.
However, This evening Mrs L persuaded me to watch the Spin off program, ‘Jay and Dom’s Home Fix.’
To my utter surprise, Jay got involved and actually participated.
What did he do. He painted and glued.
Exactly what my 3 year old granddaughter can do….
.
I usually like programs like that so downloaded the first series and had a scan through.
Never has someone so obviously been given a job simply because he is black. Every one I scanned through, he is stood dressed like a tw@t with a simpleton grin on his face while he oggles what they are doing.
His ‘character’ does not fit in with the the style of the rest of the program at all.
Always remember that whenever you something so obvious, a white person was racially discriminated against for the part.
For the BBC in London, Scotland is ‘another place’, no more newsworthy than Belgium or Sweden.
They know that by doing no reporting it will annoy the Scots and encourage feelings of resentment to the ‘English’, (really Westminster), and hopefully split the Union sometime.
Nicola Sturgeon, however, is useful. She of course has a ‘right’ to be heard on the BBC as one of the leaders of devolved government in the UK, but that isn’t why they give her a platform.
She is a ‘trusted’ voice, absolutely guaranteed, without needing any prompting, to ‘have a go’ at the Conservative government.
Being from ‘another place’ though there is no need to question her own behaviour. If they had a Labour or LibDem speaker on they would feel obliged to toss in the nominal question, “So what about what you are doing?”, as a sop to ‘balance’ and ‘impartiality’.
Just as they would gladly have on the PM of Belgium or Sweden, if they knew that anti-Boris comments were to be spouted, they would never think of challenging those leaders about what is going on in Belgium or Sweden, so it is with Scotland.
‘Ignore Scotland unless Nicola wants to have a rant’ is no-doubt prominent in the BBC News Standard Operating Procedures pack.
How long do you think it will be before Facebook and Google make the Australian government pay for that?
No more ‘good’ news, Sky Australia disappears from search results and banned from YouTube, drug, sex and bribary stories about the opposition vanish, blocked or ‘baseless’.
They’ve just installed a chief invalid and his carer and a cackling witch into the White House, don’t expect them to stop now.
Absolutely right. The Left pushed the boundary with Trump and they got away with it. They control nearly all the information Mr and Mrs Average get, particularly on social media. What they do simply does not get reported. Now they will push it further.
It’s 100% fascism. By the proper definition. Not the one they keep changing so it doesn’t apply to what they just did.
These are the kind of articles by the BBC which make my blood boil: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-56182669
‘Coronavirus: Public need ‘home truths’ on economy – Hammond’
‘In an interview with BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg, Lord Hammond …’
I wonder if Kuenssberg brought up all the lies and tricks he used to try and stop Brexit to establish his credentials before the interview. And I wonder if she spat the questions at him (like the interview I saw with May) or gave him a friendly fireside chat (like the interview I saw with Steptoe).
I really don’t have the stomach to dig into it further.
The reason that the Scottish Numpty Party gets away with so much , not just this Salmond story but such awful perfotmance on health and education, law and order , is that , as Brillo puts it, the Scottish media is supine. For whatever reason it refuses to tell the truth about the SNP. We saw something very similar in the USA when democratic scandals and Biden’s corruption were covered up. We see the same thing in parts of the EU where vaccine lies are spread via the MSM.
If ever we needed proof that guarantor of democracy is a vigorous free press this is it.
This reminds me of the situation when one of my clients appointed a new young marketing chappie, His first task was to fill all the walls in reception with Diversity posters then he spent the next 3 months on the Companies social media account basically pushing his own achievements and CV to date.
Needless to say after a year of this the Company tumbled to what was going on and he was shown the door thankfully…
It seems to be an under 30’s thing, social media as Andy Warhol once said means that everyone is famous for 15 minutes!
The lady whose name this ‘analysis’ bears is often called upon to provide ‘analysis’ to the BBC that the BBC likes.
Easy to analyse why.

Learning from The Independent: Sustainability beyond subscription
Enders Analysis released this research on 25 February 2021. It has been emailed in full to subscribers. A brief description follows:
In a challenging media marketplace, quality online news services generated hundreds of thousands of new buyers in 2020, perhaps inching ahead of print in terms of UK household propensity-to-pay
But reader-first models are not only about subscriptions. The UK’s first national print title to go online-only, The Independent, has achieved operating profits since reconfiguring its cost base in 2016
The Independent defies many investor assumptions about news. Solutions for smaller businesses may diverge more from industry giants than is commonly expressed, and without distribution change, editorial, product and commercial transformation is slower
***
Well, a business model ditching the expensive hardware side, being propped up by a potentate and an oligarch and serving only the London metro luvvies to provide BBC editors with one degree of separation quotes and BBC producers idiot guests may seem sustainable to Our Claire.
But most have learned it is an online joke.
Quality, Claire, is like ‘trust’; easy to say, incredible when not provided.
10am Camila Batmanghelidjh
Woman’s Hour
\\ In her first sit-down broadcast interview since winning the High Court disqualification case regarding the disbanded children’s charity Kids Company, its founder, Camila Batmanghelidjh, psychotherapist and author, joined Emma earlier this week.
The High Court judgement came about because the Official Receiver claimed that Camila Batmanghelidjh, and seven former trustees of the charity Kid’s Company, had failed to properly manage the charity in the final months of its existence.
After a three and a half year case, and 10 weeks in court, Mrs Justice Falk said it was a viable charity destroyed by unfounded allegations.
A tragedy for the many vulnerable children they supported.
The Judge praised Camila Batmanghelidjh for the “enormous dedication she showed to vulnerable young people over many years” and her achievements in building a charity that “until 2014 was widely regarded as a highly successful one.
She tells Emma why she fought so long and hard to be cleared.//
It was very shallow – and deserves full on follow up by the MSM – I don’t know if the first instance court case was reported but I’m going to go look at it .
She was asked whether she’d run a charity company again and didn’t say ‘no’ – she claims to still have rich people who give her money and apparently Bristol council helped fund the court case .
I’m surprised no one was on the receiving end of criminal charges but I suspect too many influential politicians had associated with her to ‘get down with the kids ‘ and thus a quick chat with the AG results in – ‘nothing to see here ‘.
It was interesting that the former big wig in the BBC who was also a trustee was not mentioned in the interview – nor any one else from her organisation ….
The amount of taxpayers ‘ money lost ‘wasted was also not mentioned …. a white wash really – 25 minutes I’m glad I heard …
Shame Batman didn’t come forward a few years ago but I suppose she could hide behind ‘legal reasons ‘….

DT report that the BBC is going to recruit more people from Working Class backgrounds in their diversity drive. I suppose that they mean that will have the usual quota of alphabet and colour soup but hope that a few of them speak a bit differently. What won’t be at all diverse will be their slavish adherence to Wokism and the liberal world view.
After a few handful of readers comments , all of which said much the same as above and called for the foul corporation to become subscription only, the editorial policy of the DT required that the article was closed to further comment. Perhaps the comments weren’t sufficiently diverse! Seriously the DT bans readers from commenting on an ever growing list of topics, usually Wokism ones, it’s as though the editor knows that the paper’s drift to Wokery is loathed by his readers but he is going to do it anyway. If this drift continues he will lose his readership base. But perhaps he reflects the move by the TINO governments to embrace a range of Wokism trash policies. If they keep it up they too will lose their voting base.
Local MP Liam Byrne spoke about the problem in the House of Commons this week. It is, he told MPs, “a story of two nations – rich and poor”.
Or, more accurately, “a story of two nations – Pakistan and Britain”. Why else would the biggest aircraft, making the most flights, be the ones that (used) to fly From BHX? Not the cheapest flights either.
One does have to wonder about the ‘deprived’ label too. I bet that in Alum Rock no benefit goes unclaimed at least twice, while in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, claiming benefit would be an act of shame.
An article involving our national broadcaster’s present post-Brexit identity crisis makes the frontpage of the Telegraph this morning: ‘BBC to set working class employee target‘ – how will this work, we wonder?
Is the BBC about to recruit a gang of hod carriers and brickies as new judges for Strictly and Bake-off?
Or will the present workforce of middle class heroes be encouraged to adopt some déclassé habits? Might we notice Jeremy Vine on his way into Brodcasting House discard his lycra, helmet cam and Brompton bike for a flat cap, Thermos and an old duffle bag?
Not since Johnny Morris mucked out the elephant house at Bristol zoo, and a baby pachyderm returned the compliment in the Blue Peter studios, has any BBC payroller been given a dirty job to do.
I guess this could be the New Normal, now that we’re in pandemic times where head of news Fran Unsworth can no longer sign off her staff emails with an oh so civilised hug?
By the way, I was most intrigued to see the BBC promoting former Showaddywaddy singer Dave Bartram’s covid vaccination advice to the British public. Seems we’ve moved on from experts to ex-pop stars telling us how it is. Use a Little Bit of Soap unless you want granny to take Three Steps to Heaven.
The Guardian, similarly all agog for celebrity sage utterings, takes a leaf out of the BBC’s book (there’s a reversal for you) and presents to us: ‘Lockdown staying power. Top tips from Eddie Izzard and others‘ – for a brief moment I was interested to discover who were the others – but the moment soon passed.
Of course celebs do sometimes err. It can all get a bit messy when they say the wrong thing: ‘Paltrow rebuked. NHS chief hits out at covid “fasting” tip‘ – and this is big news, I’ll have you know. The Guardian puts our Gwyneth in the public stocks on their frontpage. “Spreading misinformation” is her crime. Oh dear, a Scarlet Letter, and where’s a modern day Nathaniel Hawthorne to write it up?
It can’t all be celebrity tosh, the Guardian has a programme of serious campaigning and racial education to push with sixty-year-old foreign civil rights issues to the fore: ‘Before Rosa Parks the woman who first said no to the back of the bus‘ – back in my youth we used to rather admire the cool people on the back seats of the bus. Now one worries that Jose will try to park the bus again at the Lane on Sunday.
The upmarket papers, which sometimes notice the political fracas north of Berwick, are divided on the Scottish question. The Telegraph headlines the story: ‘Sturgeon accused of acting like a dictator‘; meanwhile the FT takes the First Minister’s side: ‘Sturgeon rejects Salmond conspiracy‘; and the formerly patriotic Times sits on the fence (or should that be Hadrian’s Wall?): ‘SNP tensions mount‘
It’s good to see a range of opinion in print. Makes a change.
And we couldn’t sign off without remarking the fact that teachers are about to be allowed to mark their own homework: ‘Teachers get sweeping powers to decide exam results in England‘ – boasts the Guardian. ‘Teachers seize total control of exams‘ – warns the Daily Mail.
AISI, you missed out the i where Kate ‘Touched my knee’ Maltby is earning a crust defending Carrie Symonds, the current PM’s squeeze (I pick up this vernacular fast, don’t I?) who is facing a possible investigation after calls from The Bow Group.
M/s Maltby is claiming this call for an investigation is unfair and ‘sexist’. “Well, she would say that, wouldn’t she?” if I may quote Mandy Rice-Davies. Some people see sexism round every corner and at the touch of any and every knee. That Bow Group is said to be an independent ‘think tank’ with many Conservative MPs and Peers of any gender and none among its members. So how can an investigation which I guess is supported by many men and women in the UK electorate who are concerned about ‘undue influence’ by M/s Symonds be sexist? Answer that, please, Kate Maltby.
I guess ‘Sexist’ makes a change from ‘Racist’ as a charge. However, Amnesty International are apparently happy to stick that one on Alexei Navalny and wash their hands of the one-time ‘anti-Putin’ BBC poster boy after a campaign that revealed to Amnesty some unfavourable comments by Navalny about foreigners.
After all that Germany did for him, curing him of a so-called ‘deadly Novichok’ poisoning attack.
I wonder if we we see large numbers of queers and private school educated and coloured folk getting the P45s from the BBC . ?
Presumably what they are really doing is finding away even more coloured faces on the TV but badging them as ‘ working class’.
Elsewhere – its 1022 thursday morning and emma barnet has been having a chat with Batmangella – the dodgy head of tjr failed “kids company ‘ first interview since it was closed down 6? Years ago … more later …
A tad unbelievable to me… I think it’s more likely remote working GP’s just sticking CV on the patient records….
If this story has any substance at all you would have thought that the News “profession” including the BBC would be all over it but I won’t hold my breath!
I think they are actually enjoying this plunge into a banana republic.
If further evidence were required that the US Supreme Court are not fit for purpose and has become totally partisan/biased, look no further than the SCoTUS decision on election irregularities. A very well balanced appraisal of the decision by The Duran here:
Take a look at the comments on YT to gauge how viewers feel about the outcome of the case(s).
I would just add that DJT has been reasonably coy since the November election, certainly in respect of whether he will run again in 2024. I suspect that he and his team were banking on the SCoTUS to give a balanced, full and judicial opinion on the November fraud. But no. This case was the, “Last Chance Saloon” in US politics and the SCoTUS panel, apart from two Justices, have shown themselves willing to follow the Democrats route to Communism for the US. At the least, the principle of the, ‘Separation of Powers’ can no longer be seen to exist.
As the SCoTUS ‘safety net’ no longer exists, I would not blame DJT if he now declared he will not longer be considering running in the future. If 100% of the, ‘system’ is totally against you and is prepared to do anything illegal or unlawful to stop you, you could only be seen as a masochist to proceed. I guess that the other two who must now be considering their futures and retiring early from the law, would be Lin Wood and Sydney Powell.
Not doubt there was partying at the White House when the decision was released. Probably a call from the Fake President to Beijing as well. Jubilation. The Communists can do as they want now without fear of ANY intervention.
In the daily mail today there is the news that flu has been wiped out as there have been no cases of flu this year.
Yeah right.
I expect nobody has died of being run over by a bus or many other ways as they all seem to be from covid.
With covid wiping out all the other causes of death the future is looking good when we’re vaccinated and cannot die from covid, we will be immortal.
The government is also looking after us because they are loathe to remove all the restrictions (for our own good of course) until all of us are safe from the current covid and all future variants.
Totally agree with you Emmanuel, we are being fed chaff by the scientists and medics, I just haven’t worked out what their end game is but it probably isn’t good for free-thinking people.
I care to wager that if Boris called a snap election and lost and the incoming folk re-started rejoin the EU talks the whole pandemic would be gone in a week.
It is highly likely that the scientific and medical core are probably 95% remain-rejoiners.
An excited twitcher has photographed a Cardinal Bird, half bright red male and half dowdy brown female, telling the BBC ‘This is a once-in-a-lifetime, one in a million encounter…..’
Well! He won’t be asked back. A bi-sexual, possibly hermaphrodite, gender neutral example of nature’s wondrous diversity described as ‘one in a million’. The outrage must be palpable.
Following news that schools may struggle to establish effective covid testing systems, a teacher’s union spokesperson is quoted as saying ‘It is unlikely that any school will be fully re-opened by March 8.’
Your heart must go out to these dedicated and selfless working-class heroes, bent double under the strain imposed by a savage tory regime.
What they need, and what the government must urgently supply, is help. They need a taskforce used to creating rotas and timetables, practiced in marshalling groups of young people into some semblance of order while maintaining discipline.
No, despite many, many months of inactivity – during which batteries have been fully recharged – calling in the army is the only answer.
I never thought if write here that is listened to wimmins hour – but the shallow chat that the brothel keepers’ daughter had with batman the gella of kids company ( fraud) ltd was a doozy .
So many allegations from then ignored – such freedom for her to slag off those who saw the light .
But on the upside she slagged newsnight because of sex allegations …. good to see different branches of the left going at each other – must be time for a ‘wild woman defence ‘
The BBC Radio 4 Womens Hour just ran a party political broadcast by Camila Batmanghelidjh on behalf of the Labour Party. the interviewer lady did everything she could to encourage her to bad mouth the Tories, and in particular Gove. Which she kindly obliged.
It was obvious that the interview had been heavily pre-scripted as CB’s responses to every question were ready in an instant without hesitation.
I almost got the feeling that they had everything on paper in front of them as they went through the questions.
They even had an attempt to drag Boris into it but I think CB didn’t quite bite on that one probably fearing backlash and anyway she is going to need him to nod through the no doubt rebuilding of her “project”.
All along Boris has repeated “follow the science” when explaining his handling of covid (Chinese flu)
Tommy Robinson has put onto Parler another helpful post which should clear up a whole load of alphabet based situations.
Start:
There are two genders, male and female.
Follow the science.
End.
Over to you Boris.
Of course, nothing will happen as ‘follow the science’ is only an excuse to do something he wanted to do anyway as ‘follow the science’ is discarded when he wanted to do something different. The 3 week changed to 12 week between injections to boost jab numbers for example.
That is all that needs to be known for medical and administrative purposes.
The inevitable descent via this ‘gender’ nonsense is to be able to ‘identify’ as would-be Napolean, stamp collector, afraid of spiders or Dr. Who fan on birth certificate or passport.
All the doctor or immigration officer needs to know is ‘what is the major genetic characteristic of the person in front of me?’ – essential knowledge for physical treatment or identification.
There’s also no following the science in terms of preventing people from playing golf. A recent FOI request submitted to the government revealed that the ban had no scientific basis and as far as anyone can tell not one case of Covid-19 has been contracted playing golf.
Yet, the government banned golf last spring (and tennis), again in November and from 6 January to end of March.
Therefore, this banning appears to be for political reasons and to prevent the government from being criticised for favouring what lefties might perceive as an elitist sport. As usual, Boris has the backbone of a jellyfish.
TS, set that golf ban against the advice from a GP that the BBC ‘trialled’ on their web-site (but only once refered to on radio in my hearing) that stuffy rooms were more likely to result in Covid transmission. This GP, apparently no more mad than Gwyneth Paltrow, wanted us to throw open our windows at Christmas and New Year time, even in Care Homes.
Of course, it wouldn’t have fitted with the BBC’s Global Warming and Climate Change fetish – as everyone did as recommended but turned up their heating – but nobody at Editorial level and below spotted that. Maybe it was an ‘Executive decision’ not to keep pushing it. Maybe it was an anti-golf bias at the Beeb that played into that.
Regarding my earlier post about the disappearance of flu (as well as the earlier post by Digg)
Flu would account for about 20,000 deaths each year so if it’s disappeared you would expect such huge news to be all over the tv news bulletins yet I’ve not heard anything about it.
Is 20 thousand lives ‘saved’ not enough?
Could there be a reason why all the tv news stations are keeping this amazing good news away from the public.
I wonder what that reason could be.
I think we all know the real answer to that Emmanuel, hopefully some insider with enough balls will break what’s been really going on and bring some retribution to the shadowy figures playing tricks with all of us.
As I know so little about this person, Femi, a quick search shows him as what I assumed he was, some sort of victim’s mouthpiece, as the BBC seems to think he’s interesting.
What made me chuckle, was that the Wiki page also told me that the same people who like whoever this Femi person is, also searched for Owen Jones, James O’Brien and Andrew Adonis.
I don’t want to search on them, as everyone knows that they’re fake news lefties and therefore disregarded.
I think they probably mean the Jess Phillips sort of “working class”.
According to Wiki her father was a teacher, her mother was Deputy Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation and Chair of South Birmingham Mental Health Trust.
Or maybe like little Owen Jones whose father was a local authority worker and a shop steward, his mother a lecturer at Salford Uni.
A bbc lunch time gem – a beeboid who considers himself more Croatian than british interviews a girl who claims to be a musician . The girl applied to be in something called ‘the brit awards ‘ .
The nasty organisers made a rule that to be in the ‘brit ‘ awards you need to be a British citizen – the swines – anyway – the lady I question came to blighty when she was five – so maybe 15 years ago – but has hung onto her Japanese passport ..
Nasty brit awards – the bbc played a bit of the japs’ music – I was driving – nearly crashed the car…
18 murder inquiries started in Londonistan from the start of the year. That is one every 2.25 days – mainly street stabbings – lockdown applies to some – but not others …. apparently ‘The Sun “ has done a piece on this ….
By the way it’s the worst in 3 year ..
Blood boiling again:
Police stop-and-search powers ‘should be suspended’
Apostrophes to infer fact again. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56118624
‘The human rights group says stop-and-search is key in the disproportionate representation of black people in the criminal-justice system.’
Yes, because they get caught.
No mention anywhere of the disproportionate number of murders they commit.
My opinion of ‘Human Rights Groups’ is that they are generally activist low-life (like the BBC) driven by politcial agenda and corruption and have no interest at all in representing white people.
Guido : Peter Lowe, Sky’s Head of Home News, writes:
“The next batch of London correspondents appointed are only either BAME, or women, or both
[…] A reminder that our targets are 50/50 on gender and 20% ethnicity.”
Guido has also seen internal monitoring data from Sky News which shows they closely track on-air contributions to meet internal diversity targets and, as of last month, they had too many men contributing.
ere is no filtration when it breaths out. It is therefore spewing forth toxic waste over everyone it meets, and people will come closer believing they are SAFE, so its worse than NO MASK its a KILLING MACHINE.
Peter Hitchens tweets

I mentioned earlier the whitewash interview done on Wimmins hour today of batmangella about her failed kids company – she was once a bbc ‘star’ –
Well I’ve had a quick look at the judgement and I’m afraid the judgement does not leave the lady ‘whiter than white ‘ – more like a failure by the prosecuting authority to provide evidence against the individual s but instead went for ‘collective ‘ blame – including Alan Yentob of BBC fame .
I’ll read into it a more detail and report here if any one is interested .
The Grauniad would have to modify this map before they send it to their batch to the BBC. Judging from their handling of face masks above, the map would need to be upside down to match their logic.

Brexit Business
Britain’s transition period with the EU ended on December 31st.
For the first time since the inception of the single market in 1992, British companies were on the outside.
A trade agreement was reached meaning that no tariffs would be paid on imports or exports, but it did mean that trade would no longer be entirely friction free.
It’s still early days, but what do we now know about the extent of that friction and its possible consequences?
How representative are the frustrations of Cornwall’s daffodil growers who say they can’t find labourers
or UK companies that are now setting up production facilities in the EU in order to avoid red tape
and its cost?
To what extent have difficulties been mitigated by new trade deals that the UK is now free to negotiate.
And what’s the view from the EU?

So a lot of it is the PR BS world.
I should imagine many of us suspect that a sorry fate may await young Ms. Thunberg, a clearly vulnerable teenager. The histories of many child stars exploited and manipulated by the entertainment industry tells us so.
Every time I see her picture she looks worse to me – and in the photo in David Vance’s video she reminds me of Kurt Cobain. And you know what happened to him.
#HouseGate, last night LookNorth pushed the narrative that teacher Lee Hill is the victim, cos he got abuse
and seemed desperate to get him on
But tonight they didn’t, they got Dan Snow on instead
Now that is interesting cos the real word narrative
starts by Lee Hill getting the claim from the ex-pupil that Nelson is a proven slavery supporter a claim which he repeats without checking, thus falsely defaming Nelson.
Yet Dan Snow did a podcast about the letter the claim was based on “the letter was proven to be doctored after Nelson died”
See 5 minutes in https://uk-podcasts.co.uk/podcast/dan-snow-s-history-hit/nelson-and-the-slave-trade
However the BBC avoided this issue altogether
getting Dan Snow to discuss the negatives of Drake (who did sell slaves) and Raleign who was executed as a traitor ( for conspiracy against King James I).
The point being that such role models did have negatives.
Nelson was not tackled .
The second point that the modern activists are not good role models , and were pushed forward without proper process
wasn’t tackled
They just said ‘Oh the kids will know who these people are’
The item being a bit bland generated only 3 or 4 tweets
like 2 for 2 against the headmaster.
1pm Local radio news : suddenly the BBC have constructed a narrative out of that Dan Snow segment “Historian Dan Snow has come out in support of the abused teacher”
clip.. “Yes sometimes changes are made and that’s OK, we can’t be tied to historical memes, that is would be very Soviet”
.. WTF they are SELECTIVELY quoting to support their cause
..I already gave details of this interview
Dan Snow did not come out saying he was fully behind the teacher, rather he diplomatically changed the subject to say that historical characters are all black and white good ..and pointed at negatives in Raleigh and Drake.
===============================
An important point came up on Twitter : The lib mob argument was, the kids don’t know about these old white men and they have negatives to to do with SLAVERY and black oppression.
The Headmaster says we can name things after people associated with slavery that’s a bit tough on kids named Mohammed
=====================================
Secondly I have new thoughts on National heroes etc.
The libmob message is we should be ASHAMED of British history, it’s all #WhiteMenBad
.. they see themselves as pushing back on jingoism that said “British white people always great”
.. That is a strawman we always knew that Drake was a pirate and that Henry VIIIth executed people
but also the English Kings first did the Magna Carta and then got us free from Vatican control, made a country of the common man free from serfdom etc.
Appreciation of British History is not about the SHAME of where we’ve been but the PRIDE in where we got to now
And how we came, we always accepted that there were some rough turns on the way
We didn’t come out from way before Drake and Nelson saying that Britain has to patrol the world to stop slavery.
No we got involved with colonialism, empire building a bit of slavery and in the process people like Drake and Nelson kept us free Spanish control and made us a great global power
who was then in a position to make the start on the end of world slavery.
Bottom line would we prefer a Britain
#1 that had never itself had colonial slavery
or #2 a Britain had never started the fight against global slavery
If the first was true, we could have never got the second
GB ended most world slavery, because Nelson, Drake and Raleigh gave us the Empire and navy that could do so.
Of course there are a number of factors that make the Replacement of Nelson by Greta as a school house sound ridiculous.
One of the main things is Cancel Culture
You find one big black mark aginst a person and then you cancel them forever more.
Is that British ?
Actually a key thing about British culture, is that it comes from the Bible.
And the Bible teaches forgiveness, saying that we are all flawed sinners
It teaches us forgiveness even if the person has not apologised.
Perhaps appreciating, that yes people do bad things, but that doesn’t mean they are 100% bad, there are things like they are prisoners of their own circumstances.
eg Take Henry the VIII executing his wives. It does by our modern standards look like pure selfish violence
but at his time he had to defend Britain from foreign powers including the Catholic church and produce a male heir etc.

Saturday
#SaturdayNightTakeaway fronted by the peerless @antanddec, an average of 7.3m viewers between 7 & 8.35pm

Jay does have two purposes on Repair Shop:
1. To meet the ‘diversity target’.
2. Take the credit for a job well-done.

Amol will have you on for this. He has a history.

This looks like only one side of the story.

Alum Rock is an inner city suburb of Birmingham. It is deprived and ethnically diverse, with a large Pakistani community.
Later in the article it mentions Alum Rock is 91% BAME population so not really “ethnically diverse” but more “white flight”.
But more interesting the BBC claim this Alum Rock is deprived even though it is made up of hard working immigrant doctors, engineers and architects.
Come on BBC, get you made up facts in order.

From a ‘controversial’ MP, Liam Bryne:

There goes our education system.

What now for DJT’s eighty-odd million voters?

Might sound odd but possible!

Actually the Twitter responses all lay into Barnett for daring to ask CB difficult questions

I would go further, there are two sexes.

Yeah, that’ll be the “working class” they mean.

Yes, because they get caught.
No mention anywhere of the disproportionate number of murders they commit.
My opinion of ‘Human Rights Groups’ is that they are generally activist low-life (like the BBC) driven by politcial agenda and corruption and have no interest at all in representing white people.

8pm #BrexitThingBad synopsis is up
Brexit Business

See 5 minutes in
https://uk-podcasts.co.uk/podcast/dan-snow-s-history-hit/nelson-and-the-slave-trade

1pm Local radio news : suddenly the BBC have constructed a narrative out of that Dan Snow segment
“Historian Dan Snow has come out in support of the abused teacher”
===============================
An important point came up on Twitter : The lib mob argument was, the kids don’t know about these old white men and they have negatives to to do with SLAVERY and black oppression.
The Headmaster says we can name things after people associated with slavery
that’s a bit tough on kids named Mohammed
=====================================
