My guess is its Karl Marx, given the type of graduates that these academics are turning out with Mickey Mouse degrees.
Thereby lies the root of all the current wokeism that is attacking our British culture and values.

Well, it had to happen. As the hypocrites of English cricket vie to see who can pile in hardest on the unfortunate Ollie Robinson, fresh whispers from the class sneak tell of a second England player posting “historical offensive material”, and of others too, including well-known stars. Not Jonathan Agnew of course — Twitter didn’t exist when he was a teenager, so he can’t be a racist. Anyway, he works for the BBC.

But let’s dig a bit deeper. Might there be an Australian who has ever said anything nasty about a Pakistani cricketer? Or a Pakistani who might have had a dig at an Indian? Or an Indian who has a down on South Africans? Or a South African who once got annoyed with a West Indian? Or a West Indian who doesn’t much care for the English? Shall we investigate all of them, unearth their private comments from years ago, shame them, suspend them, ban them?

Well, perhaps it’s best not to start telling the whole world what to do. Can of worms, and all that. Agnew is not that stupid. He sticks to the problem at home, where he feels safe. “The ECB must go further,” he proclaims, “to do due diligence on players who are selected to represent the country.” Not by having “a quick scroll through a player’s social media history,” of course. That’s nowhere near enough. No, it means “making absolutely certain you are selecting the right people.” I see, yes. Should we send for the Stasi? They were always good at that kind of thing.

“Like the whole of society,” adds Agnew, reading from a tablet of stone handed to him on Mt. Sinai, “sport is facing issues of inclusivity, how it proves that everyone is welcome.” How does vilifying a young player at the start of his Test career do anything to prove that everyone is welcome? Are we to suppose that BAME cricket players and fans around the world are excitedly celebrating this crushing blow against colour prejudice? While reminding each other that BAME youngsters never say anything racist themselves? What drivel.

Cricket is a game. It doesn’t have to “prove that everyone is welcome.” That is just virtue-signalling by a bunch of bandwagon-climbers who are scared that anyone might think THEY are on the wrong side of the fence. Agnew, Vaughan, Ramprakash and all the other dopes who use the BBC as a platform from which to strike moral attitudes really do need to stop posing and grow up.

And don’t pay their telly tax, either!

JohnC – I think we have to get used to black increasingly being the colour of prominence for the MSM/BBC, not because of numbers in the UK (or USA), but because of the narrative. The narrative ball was kicked into the centre of the field by those who took it over after the death of George Floyd. You have to hand it to them: they can do propaganda like nobody else can.

An interesting comment elsewhere that the US White president of the oxford common room where a vote has been taken to remove a portrait of the Queen is being scapegoated because of his race and the colour of his skin.

As head of this group he was the one who had to table the motion, but it was not his idea. That came from a group described as a committee of commonwealth students of colour, but the twisted British media will not publish an article criticising the ubermenschen.

Now the White American might be as woke as anyone, but choosing to single him alone out is simply not good enough.

Accent/Mannerism Prejudice is massive, but mostly has little to do with racism
#1 The elephant in the room is
    – Americans love British accents
    – British people generally don’t like American accents
particularly *female vocal fry* (high pitched whine)
..Yet she things we love European accents cos they are white people like us.

#2 Sure loads of people in Britain put down the phone straight away when an Indian accent speaks
… just like a rape victims runs from men, people have had too many Indian scam calls.

#3 Loads of people here express annoyance at lots of other British regional accentsmannerism

Just been looking at yesterdays entry on the Trump site which the BBC reliably informed us has been permanently closed down and he talks about being cleared of what the Democrats accused him of at Lafayette Park.
Quite how such a simple enquiry has taken so long to release the result considering the the accusations against Trump were false I don’t know. And why was such an enquiry launched in the first place. It absolutely stinks.
I found the BBC article – which is as sneering and bitter as ever – included this:
“Our fine Park Police made the decision to clear the park to allow a contractor to safely install anti-scale fencing to protect from Antifa rioters, radical BLM protesters and other violent demonstrators who are causing chaos and death to our cities,” he added.
He was referring to the left-wing, anti-fascist and anti-racist political movement, and the Black Lives Matter social movement.
then I followed the link to the original story about the violence. ‘
Perhaps the BBC aren’t aware that Antifa are borderline terrorists and BLM is 100% political. They even have a politcial party.
Or perhaps they are just lying Leftie scum.

Then I followed the link to the original story with the violent mob who got cleared out. Quite amazingly the BBC ran several pieces defending them. Here’s one:

‘It’s not always clear why people who are normally non-violent can endorse protest violence.
But this could in part be explained by moral psychology, says Marloon Moojiman, an assistant professor in organisational behaviour at Houston’s Rice University.
A person’s sense of morality is central to how they see themselves, so “when we see something as immoral, it creates strong feelings, because we feel our understanding of morality has to be protected”.
“This can override other concerns people have about keeping peace… If you think the system is broken, you’re going to want to really do something drastic to show that that’s not acceptable.”‘

Absolutely amazing hypocrisy. Just contrast that with what they have said since about the ‘deadly’ Capitol protests where the protestors weren’t deadly to anyone.
    Their double-standards make me sick.

Don’t look down Mexico way and the ordinary Joes

The killjoys over there at the BBC online press line up this morning promote the killjoy ‘i’ newspaper to their number one spot, presumably in admiration of the headline: ‘Downbeat PM casts doubts on 21 June’s final unlock

The Guardian meanwhile gives a hearty warm welcome on behalf of the UK to a US President they happen to like: ‘Warm welcome US president Joe Biden arrives for G7 summit‘ – proving perhaps that there’s no travel restrictions if you happen to have your own private jet.

We might speculate whether they’ve considered installing a Stannah stairlift on Air Force One?

One finds oneself daydreaming of some protesting satirical wag perhaps greeting Sleepy Joe with a giant inflatable Zimmer Frame or a Werther’s Original. Or considering his and his host have an apparent laissez-faire attitude to mass third world migration to the west, perhaps a large inflatable inflatable would suffice as an ironic taunt?

TV’s Sergeant Bliko, the comic actor Phil Silvers, at the height of his popularity in the 50s was once invited to some gala event and introduced to the then President Eisenhower. He also met the vice president, the secretary of state and several other leading cabinet members.

The irreverent wise cracking Silvers did not disappoint: “If all you guys are here at this show, who’s minding the store?

In Biden’s case it’s his VP Kamala Harris – you remember her, the one that called Joe a racist for his former objection to racial school bussing, not so long ago. She was the little girl on the bus – remember? I mean her accusation of racism was not so long ago… during the Democrat Primaries. Bussing ended thirty years ago. Our Kamala meanwhile, eventually after her blaze of publicity with her racist accusation, polled about 1% of Democrat voters and dropped out of the race exposing her unpopularity even among her own party’s supporters.

As the BBC reminds us today in a minor easily missable headline: ‘Number of migrants at US border hits new record high‘ – we’re reminded that Biden put his veep Kamala Harris in charge of the border and all those kids in cages. She has travelled to Central American and told them not to come – a statement for which Trump would have been pilloried by the left-leaning media (Hillaried?) When quizzed recently by a mainstream media interviewer with an unaccustomed unusually awkward question: “When are you going to visit the border?” our Kamala – corpsed – as they say in acting – giving her familiar nervous cackle and replied with the non sequitur: “I’m not going to Europe

    Perhaps subliminal G7 envy there?

In domestic news the anti-Brexit diehards at the Times and the FT are of course still banging on about the Irish border. We can’t be bothered to give their headlines any more oxygen of publicity hereabouts.

Whilst life-giving oxygen was, we learn, withheld from some patients – presumably in desperate efforts to save the NHS: ‘Mentally ill patients given “do not resuscitate” orders during the pademic‘ (Telegraph)

And finally on a positive note, in an apparent rift with north London middle class liberal elitist lockdown-loving sooner harder and longer fan Sir Keir Starmer, the Labour-leaning Daily Mirror finally aligns itself with the ordinary joes punished by lockdown: ‘Last chance saloon. Mirror joins bid to save boozer as thousands face closure in pandemic chaos

    The BBC Moaning Emole has…

    Sexual harassment normalised – Ofsted

Children often don’t see the point of reporting abuse and many teachers underestimate the scale of the issue. That’s what the schools watchdog, Ofsted, said as it warns sexual harassment has become “normalised” among school children. Ofsted spoke to more than 900 children in 30 state and independent schools and two further education colleges about sexual harassment. Inspectors found around nine in 10 of the girls said sexist name-calling and being sent unwanted explicit pictures or videos happened “a lot” or “sometimes”. Also, boys are sharing “nudes” and some girls have experienced “unwanted touching in corridors”. Ofsted is urging schools and colleges to “develop a culture” where sexual harassment is recognised and addressed. Schools and colleges will be encouraged to dedicate training days to help staff deal with sexual abuse, the government says.

How does the Biden-Johnson relationship stack up?

Boris Johnson and Joe Biden will meet near the cliff tops overlooking the magnificent Carbis Bay in Cornwall, the waves from the Atlantic crashing below.

It won’t have the bodice-ripping tension and tempestuousness of an encounter between Ross Poldark and Demelza – until now the most famous pairing from these parts thanks to the BBC hit drama – but this is an important relationship to watch as it develops.

The reasons why it might get off to a horrible start are all too easy to enumerate. Biden firmly supported Britain remaining in the EU; Johnson was the leading architect of Brexit.

Notice it’s not Biden offers to help etc. it’s “demands” because Biden represents the new holy woke left who are never wrong and are here to save us and as we all know the UK are in the grip of right wing fascists under Boris.

Also Biden is portrayed as the adult in the room trying to deal with a childish and out-of-control and dangerous Boris.

Hence in the left-wing press view Biden is to be regarded as a negotiator and freedom fighter over here to help release our poor citizens from the yoke of the tyrannical right-wing, jackbooted tories.

As far as I am concerned, Biden can stick his McDonalds, KFC’s, Hollywood and anything else that has enriched UK life and made us so happy and prosperous where the sun don’t shine!

TOADY Watch #1 – Brexit Bashing Corporation in full flow toady on TOADY

Waking late, no wokery here just pleasant dreams, I’m greeted by Beijing Biden news on TOADY that he will back the EU and the Irish Republic and beat Boris back on Brexit. Or maybe not. At first the BBC are certain this will happen but then a little element of doubt is allowed to creep in to later reports.

Maybe some irritated Tweets, texts, e-mails and phone calls from Remainers who respect democracy have been received in W1A?

I was frankly surprised that the ‘big interview ‘ at 0810 was mishell talking to girls about sexual misconduct in schools and higher education .
The profound issue of never teaching that something is just wrong – wasn’t touched on . Liberalism has bred a species which it seems for many provides an excuse to do whatever they want – such as taking pictures of private parts and spreading them on the internet – as well as casual sexual assault ……
One loud middle class mother was saying about how she needed to educate her 11 year old son about porn – I suspect that might be a bit late…

I’m not a massive sports fan…being a Fulham supporter…and have never really watched anything on Sky Sports. Yesterday, while visiting an old mate, I got to see about half an hour. Let me tell you that was more than enough. This channel is so infested by the intolerant wokerati that it makes the BBC look like Fox News. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

They are absolutely obsessed with race. We had in depth studio discussions about the booing of the England players. Needless to say the booing was completely wrong.
They talked about the young cricketer who offended some people with Tweets that go back a decade. “No place for these sort of people…”
There was an interview with an athlete who lectured us about our opinions and how we’ve all got to get our thinking straight. When it was time for a commercial break we were bombarded with messages of support for BLM.
One thing there wasn’t…anything about bloody sport!

Eventually, after about half an hour of this unrelenting propaganda, I had to ask him to turn the bloody thing off.

I’m hoping that Brillo TV will start a bit different .

I’m also -forgive me – really hoping that some scandal befalls the England footy squad just before their first game – I don’t care what the allegation is – I just want them to feel more heat over their dumb virtue signaling ….

By the way – condolences over the relegation – I liked going to Fulham – strange – empty ground . .

I shan’t being watching England play in the Euros for the same reason and until the team stops kneeling before each match.

If these so-called “academics” really want to pursue their POV to its logical conclusion, they will return to the descendants of Cecil Rhodes all the monies he donated to Oriel College. This will be at present day value, having adjusted for inflation and including interest at the prevailing rates from the date of donation up to the date of payment.

TOADY Watch #2 – you can’t get the staff you know

The BBC on R4 at least have recently been making wild claims about employers being unable to find employees for vacant positions, mostly due to Brexit claims the BBC, and the inability of our Borders to remain open(!) to a constant flow of immigrants – legal ones, that is – in most part thanks to the Pandemic.

Speaking of which, a reporter on TOADY this morning misused the word ‘Pandemic’ in relation to Dengue Fever. It may have been James Gallagher who repeats the error here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-57417219

You can’t get the (quality) staff you know.

The unemployment stats should be out next week and I expect the BBC and R4 to have forgotten all the job vacancies waiting to be filled and will instead attack the Government for the numbers out of work. There’s nothing like the short memory and attention span of a BBC journalist and Editor.

TOADY Watch #3 – where is ‘Part-time’ . . . is she in danger of being demoted? Or sacked?

Nick Robinson is clocking some impressive CO2 outputs to warm the planet to boiling point; Lake District on holiday and now Cornwall for the G7. Mishal tells me he will be back in his old job tomorrow – BBC Political Editor – reporting on the conference.

Is Laura Kuenssberg on holiday? She usually is – hence the nickname, ‘Part-time’ – or is something else going on at the BBC? Is there an investigation by BBC Executives going on over ‘Wallpapergate’, especially after Sarah Montague dropped Part-time in it on air on TWatO, explaining that it was initiated or all cooked up by Part-time. Wouldn’t be the first time BBC bosses divert attention away from a really big scandal (Martin Bashir)+(TV Licence Fee) to parade their integrity over a lesser matter, would it?

TOADY Watch #4 – as our Fed has mentioned, Ladies Day at TOADY has an obsession

    Sexual harrassment. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-57411363

Immediately colossal ironies strike me. Owww!

In a de-Christianised UK society that the BBC appears to favour, it is inevitable that people will no longer treat each other with respect. No boys will be taught and encouraged to behave like gentle men. No girls will be taught and encouraged to behave like gentle women.

The Ofsted response was colossally ironic, you wonder about the quality of the brains there: “What we need is more sex education.” Er, isn’t that the partial or main cause of the problem?

Of course, the BBC as part of the UK media can hardly hold its head up high. Sexualisation, the sex act, nudity or partial nudity are commonplace on the BBC and throughout the UK media.

In the normal way of things, you have an programme maker – the BBC – making dramas, for which some actors, of all genders & ‘orientations’, just cannot wait to get their clothes off. Then you have the ‘awards season’ – which the BBC promotes and reports – where actresses compete to be photographed for the newspapers and the BBC web-site in the skimpiest or most transparent of dresses.

Employees of the Christian Church have sexually abused hundreds of thousands of children across the globe. Horrendous crimes deliberately covered up and excused by the leaders of the Christian Church for decades. Yet here you are promoting that very same organisation as a ‘solution’ to sexual harassment.

Biden scolds UK over Brexit in ‘unprecedented rebuke’ ahead of G7 summit.

Which rather suggest Biden has had a major spat with Boris over allowing Brexit does it not?

But then in the first para of subtext behind the headline click ….

A warning from the Biden administration to Boris Johnson not to imperil peace in Northern Ireland amid fraught Brexit negotiations stands as an “unprecedented rebuke” for a British prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer has said ahead of the G7 summit.

So it was actually Kier Starmer who came out with it.

    Surprise, surprise !

This tactic of falsely attributing claims in headlines is a typical snake-trick of the left-wing MSM.

The report said that Joe Biden made a speech to the troops (no doubt delighted to have their Wednesday night ruined), followed by some words from Mrs Biden.

Amazingly, we heard nothing from Sleepy Joe, only Mrs Biden’s speech. I cannot recall this ever happening. I can only assume that Sleepy Joe was even less coherent than normal, and the BBC happily covered for him, just as they are not mentioning the Arizona audit or Hunter’s liberal use of the “N” word in his emails.
