Looks like the eco-loons have smoked a but too mech weed and have launched a new ‘yoof’ division – Just Stop Oil…..

Manned I would suspect largely by 20 somethings who live in London or other large cities, most probably with or funded by their parents, don’t have or need jobs or housing as they will expect to inherit. Have burdened society with huge uni – grants which they will never repay.

They also have absolutely no consideration or awareness of the overwhelming majority of Society, especially in more rural areas who rely and depend on oil one way or another for transport, heating, etc. etc.

    Bubble-World sums it up.

Criminal records should be handed out to all or any who break the law in my opinion.

I expect as usual the Police will handle them with kid gloves and the BBC will be right behind the idiots.

    Belgorod incident is strange
Is setting a Russian city’s oil depot on fire an excuse for Putin to mobilise conscripts ?

    Helicopters ?
If Ukraine wanted to attack it
it would probably have used missiles or drones.

EwanYores Watch #1 – Cost of Living crisis? What crisis?

I remember the immortal words of Sunny Jim Callaghan, one time Chancellor of the Exchequer and Prime Minister in the high inflation years of the 1960s and 1970s. See, my memory is not that bad! EwanYores proved that Sunny Jim is absolutely correct in April 2022. How so?

EwanYores covered a crisis that I know nothing of but our Travel Correspondent on BiasedBBC, FedUp2, will be able to inform us about or at least comment on. Apparently there have been long queues at UK Airports. Not refugees from Ukraine or Hong Kong. Not University students from Delhi, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand popping back home for the Easter holidays and to warm up a bit, but affluent young Brits anxious to burn CO2 just like BBC Editors, presenters and correspondents before it is all used up or while they are allowed to.

A young woman who had been disadvantaged while travelling by air was interviewed by Peter White. That she was, as are many in the UK, extremely affluent became obvious when she recounted the difficulties in travelling overseas in early 2022 and that she was flying abroad again later this year and will spend extra money to fly from Liverpool Airport despite the fact that she lives in or near Manchester.

Peter White commiserated with her, not over the ‘Cost of Living Crisis’, nor did he criticise her CO2 output but instead commiserated over the extra expense and time it would take to get to Liverpool.

The UK really is a country of three halves.

TWatO Watch #1 – uh uh, so that’s why the BBC have been obfuscating with the Covid infections *

Lead item for Jonny ‘Staccato’ on TWatO was the rising Covid infections across the UK. Embarrassingly, England is doing quite well (although it was not presented quite like that) with Scotalnd enjoying the biggest increase with the SNP’s Wee Nippy in charge.

Today marks the end of free Covid testing in at least England, am not sure that applies to Wales and Scotland. With the end of free testing decried by Spendthrift Starmer and his Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves, I guess it was inevitable that the BBC would want to lend a hand to an ineffective Labour Party and boost the fear of a renewed Pandemic.

As well as, of course, ‘The Cost of Living Crisis’.

    * The numbers for Thursday are still not up on the BBC web-site! You know you cannot trust the BBC one bit. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274 If you want some slightly more reliable and trustworthy figures, try here: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus. There was a substantial fall in infections yesterday, btw.

      COVID-19 STATISTICS UPDATE 8.30 P.M.

There is something fishy going on with the Covid stats. A Civil Servant has decided to change the Government web-site that I provided a link to above. You no longer get quick & easy access to the stats for England for infections and inoculations for the UK.

The BBC have not produced their statistics for Tuesday and Thursday. They show a fall for today from the higher figure on Wednesday for new infections and also a reduction in deaths and hospitalisations. Just what the BBC probably/possibly did not want to show …. and maybe the Civil Service too?

        FURTHER COVID-19 STATISTICS UPDATE 8.47 P.M.

There is something strange happening with Covid. The stats on the ONS site claim Scotland has a lower figure of infections – from my defective memory 1 in 14 of the population compare to 1 in 15 in England but that is not evidenced by the map of the BBC web-site: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274. It is also not in accord with the statements of Jonny ‘Staccato’ on TWatO today.

The southwest of England has traditional been a lower place of infection (with the exception of after the G7 Conference) but now it is red all the way up into the Midlands. In Scotland, now entirely red with the exception of the Orkneys, it is still showing the Outer Hebrides as the highest of all places with new infections: it is coloured brown on the map. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274

It is all most peculiar. Definitely something funny going on.

Fed, don’t know. What I do know is that I cannot trust the BBC and I now wonder if I can trust the Civil Service as well. There seems to be an agenda at work; make Boris Johnson and the Conservatives as the Party of Government look bad.

Our Stew may come with a reliable source of numbers but is a strange confluence; TWatO majoring on Covid, the BBC late with their stats and changes to the Government pages as well as those of the BBC.

Eddy miliband said energy prices would go up if they dumped the green crap levy for a while – it was said that it makes up 12% of bills but I think it’s a lot higher – he never got challenged about the lunacy of the green crap

But now he is favour of more nuclear – the first one will be built in Islington ….

Fed, I had stopped listening before Milipede came on. I dashed to the computer to post on here. There is an SNP gent on Any Questions who believes wind energy and solar energy is cheap, cheaper even than nuclear which once you’ve paid for the pile and the control systems is exactly the same as coal and gas for costs.

Needless to say the audience is stuffed with Labour/Lib-Dim and anti-Government trained seals who clap all contributions except that of the Conservative Minister on the Panel.

Before the Russia thing got going there were predictions that there is to be an ‘energy gap ‘ in the next 2 years where domestic production reduced as demand increased . Covid might have affected that a bit –
But the failure to re install gas storage – start building nuclear and freeze the closure of existing carbon power stations is coming home bigly .

Punters will pay the price – literally – then throw the green crap in for short measure ..

Milliband minor just goes for the oil company windfall crap to kill off North Sea development and satisfy the far far left – but it still doesn’t remove the pain average income households will be suffering in the next few Years until central government does something ….

    UK top 50 TV charts
#1 I think they have filtered out local news
if out add up each region, that timeslot is the most watched on BBC and ITV

    https://www.thinkbox.tv/research/barb-data/top-programmes-report/

UK population is 67 million, 13 are under sixteen
so that is 54 million adults
    So 10% is 5.4 million
so practically all shows get less than that
    ie 90% don’t watch
The bottom shows are getting about 5% of UK adult population

The Apprentice actually got 6.7 million viewers so that is 12.4% of adults

ITV got 26 shows in that list … 6 of which were News

BBC got 24 shows in that list… 11 of which were News
    all were on BBC1

If you caught “posey” Gordon Ramsay’s new show last night, it even makes The Apprentice look half good.

The usual mix of “effnics” this time running fast food stalls in Cornwall to an obviously “invited” customer base.

Gordon kicked things off with a macho jump in the sea from a helipcopter to prove his credentials (if it was in fact Gordon and not a stunt man!)

What followed was a word for word copy of the apprentice even down to using the hateful queasy words “the process”…

Ending with of course “one of you will be going home”.

Lacking in originality, stuffed with carefully selected posers, virtually unwatchable and can only go downhill from here on in.

Having seen the original Ipcress File the ITV version had that ‘why did they bother ?’ Thing on it … but thinking on it – maybe any ‘drama ‘ put forward now is so tamely woke that a channel which worries about viewing figures knows wise punters will take a 5 minute look and go back to Netflix ….

I wonder what Sir Michael Caine thinks of it ?

I’ve seen the original film recently and for something which is @ 1967? Ish it’s still pretty fresh – which is the true test ….

Meanwhile – I wonder what Lord Grade will get upto when he gets control of OFCOM – surely the first place to start will be to ‘refresh’ the complaints process whereby the public sector arrogance of the BBC just fobs off justified evidence complaints before getting to the ‘executive ‘ complaints department where the remaining 99.9% are fobbed off ….

Fed, I don’t watch any updated/new version of anything on the tv. All Creatures / Darling Buds / Ipress et al as I’m old enough to make comparisons to the original, and from what I hear it was a wise choice.

In the film world there are exceptions, such as Red Dragon and Manhunt, same story different version in the Hannibal Lecter genre. Then there is the Philadelphia Story / High Society. Singing in the Rain had an earlier version in the 1920s but little is heard of it now, in favour of the 1952 version.

Take the government figures , like only 13 000 , then two systems

1 ; if you feel they haven’t got a clue but can’t show it , multiply the amount of bogus asylum seekers they know about by four , then add double the EU citizens .

2; if you know they’re lying but they think they can get away with it double up the above and multiply by five .

A marriage made in heaven: the Woke Pope loves to abase himself and the Church, and the BBC loves to knock the Church.

The perfect union of sadist and masochist.

In fact the mistreatment of indigenous children in Canada has been shown to be largely a hoax, and massively exaggerated – remember all those graves where children had been – gasp – murdered? Complete fabrication.

The Pope is one of those far-liberal church leaders who loves to wring his hands over past events that nothing can be done about, while condoning, say, fake Catholics like Biden and Pelosi who promote industrial-scale abortions, or ignoring rampant gay abuse and paedophilia throughout the Church.

At least 1,400 children were subjected to appalling sexual exploitation in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013, a report has found.

Children as young as 11 were raped by multiple perpetrators, abducted, trafficked to other cities in England, beaten and intimidated, it said.

The report, commissioned by Rotherham Borough Council, revealed there had been three previous inquiries.

Council leader Roger Stone said he would step down with immediate effect.

Mr Stone, who has been the leader since 2003, said: “I believe it is only right that as leader I take responsibility for the historic failings described so clearly.”

The inquiry team noted fears among council staff of being labelled “racist” if they focused on victims’ descriptions of the majority of abusers as “Asian” men.

The source stated that rape is not commonly reported in Iran because of the shame associated with it. The source added that rape is rare in Iran. However, the source was unable to provide an assessment of rapes inside marriages. A rape victim would not be at risk for reporting a rape, but she would be socially “tainted”. The Iranian authorities would provide assistance to prosecute the offender in a rape case involving a man who was not known to the victim, and where the evidence is unequivocal. A rape case involving an offender known to the victim would not receive the same support from the authorities because they would want to know why the woman was alone with the man.

The more I see images emanating from Ukraine showing dastardly Russian acts the more questions it raises.

This video for example is said to show land mines laid on a bridge by the Russians to stop innocent Ukrainian people crossing or to obliterate them.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/editors-picks/ukraine-russia-landmines-roads-video-b2048795.html

In my view it is highly likely that if the Russians wanted to mine the bridge effectively they would have placed the mines much more randomly or even concealed them to prevent crossing however the mines appear to be laid in perfect straight rows with exactly the right spacing between the rows for a cars wheels to easily pass through without touching them.

Secondly, the photographer is filming from just a few feet away seemingly unconcerned that they might be blown to pieces at any moment,

This means either the Russians are total fools or they didn’t lay the mines at all and it was simply a photo op for publicity.

The Independent reporter appears not to have noticed this bizarre situation.

What is happening to innocent civilians in Ukraine is unforgivable but if this was indeed a setup I don’t think it advances the Ukrainian cause that much.

As my old man would have said “A lie told with the best of intentions is still a lie and will breed mistrust in anything you say!”

I gave them the benefit of the doubt, that it might be for security reasons.

Turns out they’ve sent sweet FA, according to none other than Zelensky himself (he used more diplomatic language).

      https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/russia-real-target-western-sanctions

“Recall that “the worst food shortages for fifty years” were predicted as a result of Covid. But they never materialised.

Likewise, we were due to experience Covid-related energy disruptions and power cuts. Short of the UK’s damp squib of a “petrol crisis”, they never really arrived.

But now they are heading our way after all – because war and sanctions

Increased food prices, decreased use of fossil fuels, lowering standards of living, public money poured into “renewables”. This is all part of a very familiar agenda, isn’t it?

Regardless of what you feel about Putin, Zelensky, the war in general or Ukrainian Nazis, it’s time to confront the elephant in room.

We need to be asking: What exactly is the real aim of these sanctions? And how come they align so perfectly with the great reset? “

So we come to the conclusion of another thread .

From time to time the BBC talks about ‘mental health ‘. But the combination of fear of death from covid – nuclear war – and now failing to pay the bills – must have a cumulative effect on regular viewers and listeners .

With regard to the ‘cost of living ‘ the BBC puts up extreme cases of people with multiple illnesses and limited income from welfare – and the need for the State to provide ….

But the money tree has been plundered all the way from the start of covid to now leaving less and less ability for the government to do much which will have a noticeable effect on the majority of taxpayers – eg dumping the 5% vat on household fuel ….

The BBC has its ‘ new Project Fear

I expect BIG BROTHER be it a he , she, or it, at the diversity department at the BBC to get 100% behind Emily Bridges the
transgender cyclist who wants to compete in women’s cycling
as a women when she couldn’t do it successfully
as a man. Just as the
    trans swimmer has done,
Emily if you like cycling so much . Just get on your bike and
ride it to the ends of the earth. BUT don’t try and compete
    against women.
Yes you are going to have all the support they can give you at
the BBC. But well over 95% of us are telling you that you
should not compete in a sport for naturally born women. You
went through puberty as a man. And you will never lose all of
    your manly strength.

BBC in trouble again over it Left wing bias !

Sutcliffe reflects the world he inhabits, i.e. the BBC which is an incredibly left wing biased organisation loved by the Blue Labour Tories.
In the incredibly left wing biased world of the arts, and in Hampstead & Islington Ms Rowlings views are undoubtedly unpopular.
The reality is that the BBC have broken the terms of their charter on numerous occasions and nothing is being done about it because we have a weak cowardly government incapable of taking the necessary action!

Mr sutcliffe appears on the Pravda ‘feedback ‘thing yesterday and admitted his comparison of JK Rowling was ‘wrong’ . But he didn’t sound contrite and knew that his view is that of the BBC group think .

I hate – hate – the fixation with queers and trans and other perversions I neither care about or wish to be publicised – which the infected MSM push out all the time – no wonder there is so much mental health trouble now ….

The mail today reports that a BBC series called ‘holby city ‘ – has ended without notice after 23years… people are apparently ‘devastated ‘ .

Now I’ve never seen said series so don’t know it it was any good . I guess it will be replaced by a programme about a dis functional hospital maternity department which kills babies – maybe it might be tagged as ‘call the killer midwife ‘….?
