I don’t spot that Daniel Pardo article in English
rather it appears to be a summary of an April 1st BBC Mundo* article, where Daniel Pardo is interviewing the current Argentinian president.

The title “Usurped Our Islands” is quote as headline from the president.

Headline news .. BBC news webpage does not have a picture of a diverse person on it ! What went wrong ? Aha Nothing went wrong of course !

It’s about the ‘ British terrorist’ convicted in America of multiple killings. The only pictures are of white people not the actual ‘ British terrorist’ apart from a link to another page at the bottom. They even call him ‘ ex british’ !

Anyone who watched the BBC news last night will have also noticed that this news item was given about 20 seconds of a brief mention towards the end. Had it been a ‘ white right wing ‘ person it would have been 15 minutes at the start of every news program for weeks.

‘This horrific Rawanda plan….it’ll never work!!!!!’

    ‘Why not?’

‘Because we won’t ever let it work!!’

The BBC et al getting very angry about the ‘authoritarian’ Rawanda being chosen to host illegal migrants. Just how many furious and zealous anti-borders lobbyists can they squeeze into a BBC studio?

We had a Prof. Glees from Bucks Uni in to tell us that Rawanda was a ‘hellhole’, an ‘odious and horrific choice’….there would be concentration camps and forced labour. Adrian Chiles didn’t seem too concerned about challenging him on his claims…..[lol… called a ‘halfwit’, an ‘idiot’ and a ‘so-called professor’ by George Galloway.]

Laughed as the BBC’s Mark Easton[very pro-mass immigration] told us that we would miss out as Rawanda will welcome with open arms all these ambitious, hard-working, energetic and educated migrants that will be a great boost to their economy….if only we could have them here!

Whilst the BBC portrays Rawanda as an authoritarian dictatorship that cracks down on troublesome opposition politicians and media it is singing the praises of Rawanda elsewhere…from before Rawanda became suddenly contentious….

‘Kigali: The most inviting city in Africa?’
‘over the past 25 years, and specifically over the last decade, Kigali has been transformed – by president Paul Kagame, by new laws and policies, and primarily by the people who live there – into what may be the most inviting city in Africa….This bodes all kinds of well for the next 26 years.’

    https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20200105-the-most-inviting-city-in-africa

Rawanda is peaceful, clean, united with a thriving and vigorous society and economy due to the government’s policies….but not good enough for these illegal migrants?

The reason Rawanda is doing so well and is a united country with no ethnic or tribal strife is precisely because of the restrictions put on cynical and opportunistic opposition politicians and media…those who would normally stir up conflict and division between communities and ‘identities’ as they do here in the West causing enormous trouble and actual violence and death as Muslims and Blacks are encouraged by the likes of the BBC to ‘rebel’ and ‘resist’.

Curious how the BBC doesn’t have any concerns about Canada under Trudeau…his crackdown on any dissent from the pubic or media….or indeed the fact that Canada doesn’t allow in single, male Muslims….wonder why that might be?

Strange? The Rwandan plan is estimated at being £120 Million. I reported here some months ago that the number of Jamaican’s resident in the UK had dropped from 52 thousand in 2005 to 44 thousand in 2021. Why? The UK financed construction of a prison in Jamaica and all the costs to keep the criminals there. Rwandan Cost? – wait for it – £120 million. Isn’t that strange? ‘Think of a figure’……

In a report “from Kyiv” on the BBC website today, Clive Myrie tells of his visit to the HQ of President Zelensky. He describes being “inside the grounds of the building” which is “ringed with barbed wire, mines and machine gun mounts.” (Thanks, I was really wondering what might be in the grounds of that building.) Myrie then proceeds along “a series of long corridors” to “a room with a brass plate on the door”, where he describes the furniture. The “long corridors” are helpfully shown in the TV version of Myrie’s report. President Zelensky, we learn, is “mentally exhausted.” (No, really?)

Whether any Russian person has ever visited this building, or could recognise anything from these few details, or from TV images of the “long corridors” with their distinctive wall panels, I don’t know. But surely ALL reference to WHERE Zelensky may be, or any of his forces for that matter, should be avoided altogether. It serves no purpose at all to report such details, just as it serves no purpose for the BBC to ask fatuous questions about how someone is “feeling” after their relative has been killed, their house destroyed or their children lost. Zelensky is in a location which is secret, that’s all. At worst, reporting anything more compromises his security. At best, it just displays the mindless preening of some half-baked “journalist” who wants to be seen as being “on the inside.”

I recommend Aljazeera or France 24 as alternatives to the BBC: both those channels offer reports about Ukraine that are measured and sensible, filed by journalists who understand that the story is not about them. Clive Myrie is pathetic, and so is the BBC.

If the Government are paying out our good money to store illegal immigrants boats they are totally wrong. Under the law of the Sea the boats are salvage and would therefore become the property of the salvor. For our Liberal Civil Service to waste our money just in case there some potential claim is utterly ridiculous. The boats are for the most part junk, the outboards are worth a fair bit of money and should be sold.

I think our pandering to the French has to stop. The refugees are a French problem and should go straight back there.

We really need to revise our Benefit system and put a stop to the free for all.

Shipping the illegals to Rwanda is unnecessary, we should set up camps in one of the Scottish Islands, they’ll be begging to go home after acweek.

If a tanker is empty it’s still regarded as hazardous until its degassed out .

        • StewGreen says:

Correction the front plate does not indicate an empty tank
cos the orange position is on whether the tanker is full or empty, cos it is still considered dangerous.

It hinges to grey, when you change to a non-hazardous trailer,
or say where the tanks have been properly cleaned.

                Stew ,

There’s a few anomalies about ADR ( the international regulations about dangerous goods ) and our Hazardous regulations .

For one if a petrol tanker is full or discharged his load he is hazardous, and naturally is under hazardous regulations. There is also the IMDG ( International Maritime Dangerous Goods ) laws about conveyance of hazardous materials on sea journeys.
But all the cars on a ferry will be more hazardous than one tanker on it .
And there are cars powered byLPG driving about the UK and the continent, but can’t use the channel tunnel . Obviously they don’t drive about with orange plates .

    https://summit.news/2022/04/15/study-major-newspapers-deliberately-bury-race-of-homicide-suspects-unless-theyre-white/

The Washington Free Beacon (an American conservative political journalism website) collected data on nearly 1,100 articles about homicides from six major papers, all written between 2019 and 2021.

The study found that half of the reports about homicides committed by white offenders mention the race within the first 15 per cent of the article, while, “Half of the articles that mention a black offender’s race do not do so until at least 60 percent of the way through, and more than 20 percent save it until the last fifth of the article.”

The investigation also found that a white offender’s race is mentioned in 1 out of 4 articles, while a black offender’s race is only mentioned in 1 in 17 articles.

    Sounds familiar.

When are we getting news, and when are we getting Greenpeace-PR wrapped as news ?

    The morning activist rabbit hole
YouTube pushing this : Bloomberg “Tracking Devices Reveal Where Recycling Really Goes”
    – ‘Oh look Tesco’s plastic ends up in Turkey’ Twitter thread
    – ‘Our tracker switched off for months then switched on in Adana’
    – ‘We know that cos ACTIVISTS confirm that’

OK I’ll take all that at FACE VALUE

Oh hang on, Really ?? Bloomberg I reckon your story is rooted with activists
That you ALREADY knew that some Tesco’s waste ends up in Adana, cos there have been years of past reports
It’s possible you made that up about the tracker reactivating after months.

#1 26th June 2020 BBC claimed it had done its own investigation
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-53181948
“Angus Crawford reports. Produced by Gökçe Saraçoğlu”
That’s a polished activist report with school children for emotional blackmail.
Their proof is Tesco’s packaging is near to a copy of the Sun newspaper from 2018.

    #2 17th May 2021 Greenpeace story
    https://www.mrw.co.uk/news/greenpeace-says-uk-plastic-waste-swamping-turkey-17-05-2021/

#3 May 2021 BBC Turkish page
    https://www.bbc.com/turkce/haberler-turkiye-57140139
    from May 2021
Greenpeace: Nearly 40 percent of UK plastic waste was exported to Turkey and illegally collected and incinerated
Researchers examined 10 landfills in Adana for the report and found plastic bags belonging to supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, Co-op etc.

    #4 2nd July 2021 BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57680723
    follow up Quotes Greenpeace

#5 A Greenpeace branded video with same footage as Bloomberg was released 2 weeks BEFORE
    .. https://twitter.com/IlkerCamci/status/1505279012217708544
    It has doom background music.
How old is that item ?
Well some of the closeuo shots are the SAME as the May 2021 Greenpeace article.

That Looks to me that the BBC has done 3 previous reports
and I reckon the 2020 “A BBC investigation has found” phrase indicates they were handed Greenpeace PR material and didn’t do their own research.
So I detest the way Bloomberg package their story to make it sound like brand new news.
Furthermore I wouldn’t be surprised if activists had come with their own rubbish to stage a photo

For all the articles, Greenpeace staff are among the earliest retweeters.

(BTW I used to live near there and I could have brought Tesco’s packaging in English from the nearby Turkish Tescos hypermarkets, until they rebranded as Migros in 2017.)

Is it wrong to take UK plastic to Turkey ?
AFAIK they have at least 3 waste to energy incineration plants now
And possibly cement works kilns will be licenced too
Locations might well stockpile plastic while new plants are being built.

Greenpeace don’t accept even safe incineration, rather they dream of recycling into pellets only, and restricting plastic use.
