Ohio public university to pay $400,000 in damages after punishing professor over preferred pronoun controversy
Professor sued Shawnee State University, claiming it violated his First Amendment rights.

A public university in Ohio will pay $400,000 in damages and attorney fees after punishing a professor for declining a male student’s demand to be referred to as a female.

Nick Meriwether, a philosophy professor at Shawnee State University, responded to a male student’s question during a January 2018 political philosophy class by saying “Yes, sir.” When the class ended, the student identified to the professor as transgender, and demanded to be referred to as a woman in the future, along with “feminine titles and pronouns,” according to the Alliance Defending Freedom, which represented the professor in court. Doing so, Meriwether maintained, would have violated his convictions as a Christian.

Meriwether didn’t agree to the student’s request, and court documents state that the student became belligerent and told the professor that he would be fired.

The Democrat conspiracy unfolds, bigger than Watergate and ignored by the lib marxist media (are you listening bbc?):

Durham says CIA found data alleging Trump-Russia connection not ‘technically plausible,’ and was ‘user created’

In February, Durham said data was exploited “by mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump,” adding the data was used to establish “an inference” and “narrative” tying Trump to Russia.

Durham’s original indictment alleges Sussmann told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016 — less than two months before the 2016 presidential election — he was not doing work “for any client” when he requested and held a meeting where he presented “purported data and ‘white papers’ that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel” between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.

The indictment alleges that Sussmann lied in the meeting,

But Clinton lawyer Sussmann is moving to preclude evidence concerning the “gathering” of that “DNS data” by “Tech Executive 1,” who has been identified as Rodney Joffe, and his associates.

Tübingen in Germany is known for its fiercely green reputation, where veganism and environmental friendliness are the default setting.

Tübingen is, like Heidelberg, known for its historical beauty and their universities, definitely not for its „veganism“ which is anyway a positive side effect of the many students who live there.

The broadsheets are at pains to remind us this weekend that the Church of England is now little more than the Liberal Democrat Party at prayer.

PM’s Rwanda plan is “against the judgement of God” – archbishop‘ – the Observer there, known as the Guardian on Sunday, is suddenly born again Anglican.

Shipping migrants to Africa is ungodly, Welby tells PM‘ (Sunday Times) – as one understands how these things work these days the archbishop’s PR department will have pre-released the script of his upcoming speech (call it a sermon if you will) to the eager press corps so as to make the headlines today – perhaps he has also copied in Boris, out of courtesy, which would at least make the grammatical tense employed in that pre-emptive headline true.

Rwanda plan is ungodly, says Welby‘ – repeats the Sunday Times, however: ‘…as second country proposes similar deal‘ – so at least Britain isn’t uniquely ungodly.

But wait, we’re good people here in the UK, right? ‘This policy cannot claim to be popular. No 10 cannot blame the people for it‘ – opines Sunder Katwala in the Observer.

Senior Tories fear Partygate will alienate traditional vote‘ (Observer) – really? Names, please? ‘Writing in today’s Observer, former immigration minister Caroline Nokes, said she was sticking with her decision to submit a letter of no confidence in the prime minister‘ – incidentally, this somewhat desperate new Rwanda policy rather tends to highlight a complete public lack of confidence in the previous running of the immigration department. Anyway, Caroline Nokes? Who she?

Brexit rebel Caroline Nokes: Boris Johnson’s Conservatives ‘all over the place’… Caroline Nokes, who has been MP for Romsey and Southampton North since 2010, said her decision to defy the party whip on Tuesday came as a result of Johnson’s decision to suspend parliament in the critical weeks before the Brexit deadline on October 31.’ (Euronews September 2019) – well you could have knocked me down with a feather.

One quoted the outspoken historian David Starky recently and it seems appropriate to do so oncemore. Growing up as the son of Quaker parents he recalled boyhood hours spent at the local Meeting House where there was no formal structure to worship. Instead, Friends would speak as the spirit happened to take them. Starky remarked how it dawned on him how remarkable it was that the Holy Spirit invariably spoke in the attitudes, tones and accents of the Manchester Guardian.

Yuval Levin, the right-leaning American political pundit has expressed the notion of the sad demise of our historic institutions of western culture, as they become little more than platforms for performative virtue-signalling, self-aggrandising, leadership figures, who rise to the top and yet care nothing for the traditions or continuity of their institutions… eh, Justine Welby?

As more evidence comes to light about the Far Left Blue Labour Tories and their madcap Rwandan tranfer of bogus asylum seekers I wonder if it was just a facade for them to pander to their supporters whilst setting the scheme up to deliberately fail.

I think most readers by now no longer believe the Tories to be a centre right party and now at least as far Left as Red Labour, if not even more.

If they give up that pretence then they would have to garner votes from Red Labour and a new party would probably be formed, which actually was centre right to take their place.

As we now find out this morning the Blue Labour loons have handed a fellow leftist pro migrant legal campaign group £17500 of taxpayers money for them to legally challenge the Rwanda policy which they have set up to fail.

They will then blame the courts and the leftist lawyers whilst hoping to dupe their supporters which will undoubtedly work.

London park named after four-time prime minister William Gladstone could be renamed ‘Diane Abbott Park’ by Labour Council as part of their slavery review.

Other mooted ideas included calling the green space, which has loved by the public for 121 years, ‘BAME park’, ‘multi-faith park’ and ‘diversity fields’, the Telegraph reports.

Left-wing councillors at Brent Council said they continuing ‘engagement’, pending a final decision on a new name for Gladstone Park, which has been running since the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests.

William Gladstone, a four-time Prime Minister who described slavery as the ‘foulest crime’ in history, was described by Brent Council as a ‘historical figure whose views, in association with the slave trade, are inappropriate’.

Gladstone Park in northwest London could be renamed after Diane Abbott MP
Schoolchildren as young as five asked for suggestions for public space’s name

Listening to Toady on Sunday and deduced the opinion of the BBC based on the coverage, air time given to various (I.e. one) viewpoints, and tone of voice.

    1. The UK should let in absolutely anyone claiming asylum
    2. Sending asylum seekers to Rwanda is wrong.
    3. People arriving by boat across the channel should not be treated differently to Ukrainians.

    How very impartial. Not.
In other words, entirely as expected.

Job done possibly offending Christians but hey who cares. Lets stick it on BBC ONE to really stuff it up them.

Seven celebrities of differing faiths and beliefs set out in search of St Columba, an Irish monk born 1,500 years ago who helped spread Christianity from Ireland to Scotland.

Those starring in The Pilgrimage: The Road to the Scottish Isles include interior designer and TV personality, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, who describes himself as a non-conforming pagan; England cricketing legend, Monty Panesar – a practising Sikh and actress, Louisa Clein, who is Jewish.

Joining them are TV personality Nick Hewer – an agnostic with Catholic roots; social media influencer, Scarlett Moffatt – a Christian; comedian, Shazia Mirza – a Muslim; and Paralympian, Will Bayley – a lapsed Christian

I just love winding up lefties and Boris’s Rwandan scam is making them apoplectic. They’re frothing at the mouth. It’s brilliant…

Sadly, I don’t think anything tangible will actually be achieved with operation Rwanda, more’s the pity. I do however think it’s a brilliantly cynical move to distract from all the other problems the government is facing.

It’s automatically corralled people into two specific groups. Those of us who believe this could be great and those squealing “liberals” who think Boris is behaving like a 1930s dictator. Everybody is squabbling about something that won’t happen, giving Bunter a bit of breathing space.

And there’s the added pleasure of seeing the BBC, Guardian, Sky et-al having a collective hissy fit.

    Love it…

libmob hate Andrew Bridgen, MP for North West Leicestershire
cos he very pro-Brexit and anti-open-borders

Then Twitter today forces this at me
    “PoliticsTrending
Readers criticise Andrew Bridgen after The Times reported on a High Court judge’s ruling which could result in the North West Leicestershire MP being referred to the parliamentary standards watchdog
The MP said in a statement: “The judge has made his judgment and some of it is disappointing reading for me… exploring all avenues with regard to legal options to obtain a just outcome.”

Basically he owns the biggest chunk 45% of the family farms businesses, he’s been suing his brother for years cos he says he was forced out after h became an MP
He used to earn £90K /year salary from the businesses.

His brother says , no Andrew left of his own accord during his divorce settlement cos he wanted to reduce the money his ex-wife could collect.
Clearly the judge has to believe one side or the other, and he’s picked the brother’s side.
Obviously sometimes judges call it wrong .. so I guess Bridgen will be thinking about appealing.

Below the Times story there appear to be 128 hatey comments, as if all from Labour’s human Twitter-bot army.

The Twitter summary misses the final line from the MP
“In actuality I won the case and my brother will be compelled by the court in due course to repay considerable sums of money back to the businesses”
