Which Charity? Who was in the charity? What are the wages? Where did the money go? How much went back into Charles Estate? BBC – lacking in enquiry.

In a statement, Clarence House said: “Charitable donations received from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim were passed immediately to one of the prince’s charities, who carried out the appropriate governance and have assured us that all the correct processes were followed.”

Nothing to do with anything but yesterday I was in the City centre and at the scene of a minor traffic accident there were a couple of policemen.
    One was a black lad.
The other…. I thought it was a little boy in a joke police costume.
I didn’t see any pcso label on the back so I must assume he was a proper copper.
He must have been only 5 foot tall (or should that be short?) and his helmet looked huge on him.
I cannot imagine anyone taking him seriously.
He looked Asian Arab and probably was from the Pakistan area but I’m just guessing.

Maybe he is a black belt in karate or has hidden superpowers but were he to confront any troublemakers they would just laugh at him.
I may be doing him a disservice but first impressions count.
We all remember teachers you could do anything and get away with it and others you behaved for. Well, he looks like he will have to prove himself on every confrontation.
Maybe it will work. I’m sure he’s a nice person but he’s not like the coppers when I was growing up (a long long time ago in a galaxy far away)

Another £1 billion for Yookraine. British troops to be sent to a border.
Bojo looking like a world leader.
    Need to increase defence spending.
But will we need to introduce conscription if we are to defeat Russia?

Here is my suggestion. Dinghy men of military age could be conscripted and offered British passports after serving six years of combat in the Yookraine war.

While sleepy Joe destroys America by Socialism at an alarming rate Russia and China take advantage to form a new global aliance gaining traction to the extent that now half the worlds population are members of it.

We look like being on the wrong side of history thanks to the idiocy of the Democrat party, and Blue & Red Labour in our own country, with the political class inhabiting a fantasy world where if they can’t apply a meaningless ism or fauxbia to something, then they can’t deal with it.

      Back the strong horse.

Or, as Osama used to put, when people see a strong horse and a weak horse, they go with the strong horse. The Islamic State will have land, money, oil, and a ton of great infrastructure and weaponry courtesy of American taxpayers. All the “moderate” groups we’ve been trying to woo from Libya to Syria and beyond will side with the strong horse. Our remaining allies, such as Jordan, reeling under the social strains of a vast swollen refugee tide from across its borders, will get with the program – or be the next to fall. Nothing exists in isolation: Syria was unimportant to the Obama Administration, so it sat by as the opposition to Assad mutated and evolved, and then spilled over into Iraq. And maybe Iraq is unimportant, too, but, bigger and stronger, ISIS will move on from there, too. Is the Kurdish north unimportant? Lebanon? Jordan? Israel?

When I first became a regular here, Pounce was still around, now he’s mostly on TCW and maybe his own w-site. I posted that the BBC had an obsession with America and Pounce disagreed. I put up evidence as I stumbled across it and here’s another bit: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61951296 Quite why the BBC have to go Stateside, I know not but they are keen on the US even if the Senate hearings are going badly for the BBC as ‘Trump-haters’.

We are all Equal, Some more Equal than others ….

Eyebrows were raised in Downing Street over the weekend after the publication of a story in The Sunday Times that Boris had looked into having a £150,000 treehouse built for son Wilf at Chequers. The story – undisputed since publication – goes he had once again entered into discussions about Lord Brownlow forking out for the cost, however plans were eventually scuppered by police security concerns given the house would be visible from the road. Despite the design including bulletproof glass, which raised the cost significantly…

Guido was amused to learn that Downing Street’s eyebrows weren’t raised by the Sunday Times’s story, instead by Labour MPs’ attacking the plans on the grounds of Boris being out of touch. Vauxhall’s Florence Eshalomi, Rhondda’s Chris Bryant, Wallasey’s Angela Eagle, and Hull’s Karl Turner were all among those laying into the PM.

No. 10 sources wryly note, however, that it wasn’t that long ago when it was a Labour PM splashing huge wads of cash to renovate Chequers – without a whimper of controversy. In 1999, one Tony Blair added a luxury tennis court complex to the PM’s Buckinghamshire residence, something since enjoyed by successive MPs including David Cameron and Boris Johnson. Sources in the know tell Guido that the courts weren’t built using public cash, nor did they come out of the Chequers Trust, implying the extortionate costs either came out of Blair’s personal pocket, or a private donor. Given Guido unfortunately can’t make it to Blair’s big centrist jamboree today, perhaps an on-hand hack might like to raise the question of who paid for the courts…

Twenty-four asylum seekers who claimed they were children after being sent to Liverpool were found to be adults, the city’s council has said.

The authority said another 15 asylum seekers “should have been identified as children” by the government and accommodated in London instead.

A Home Office spokesman said age-disputed cases remain “a very challenging area”.

Liverpool City Council wants to recover £657,000 for supporting the children.

Abby-Leigh Doig had finished studying a course in forensic psychology when a field full of cows set her off on a different career path.

A group of heifers moved into the land behind her house in Fife, and before long she knew that she wanted to become a farmer.

As a young autistic Muslim woman, it was hard for Abby-Leigh to find role models in the industry.

MarkyMark seems to get it in the neck a bit around here but I commend him for bringing stuff like this to our attention. The linked article is worth a read as it says so much about the BBC mindset.
‘During lockdown she (Abby-Leigh) binged on true crime documentaries, which inspired her to study forensic psychology.’
      And then. . .
‘ “Because of my autism, as soon as I have a new interest then I try to find out absolutely everything about that topic,” she says.’
Anyone care to guess what she’ll be doing this time next year?
‘ “There’s quite a severe lack of autistic hijabi farmers,” she added.’
A severe lack of realism among BBC reporters, more like.
Finally a bit of male-bashing and socialism from “agricultural sociologist” Prof Lee-Ann Sutherland:
‘ “We need to make sure that it’s a profession that anyone can get into, rather than just people who inherit the land from their parents.” ‘

There was a previous name on this site who used to post unpleasant posts and he had a far greater uptick count than what was credible.

Listening to this ((Tucker Carlson FOX news video above) is an indication of that Biden is simply a media ‘prop’ for US Socialists – and its sad to see the US FED caught up in what is (must be) a US long planned insidious conspiracy of UN penned socialists (posing as Liberals) – which is why the BBC want to expand in the US. They want to dance of the grave of US global aspirations.

Biden has links to China that cannot be denied, even if all evidence is being erased (as video), the truth is out. Something stinks in the US and it points directly to Biden and his hidden ‘handlers’. Very worrying as Biden on-his-own is not clever enough, perhaps never was — despite being suddenly’ (against the odds) ELECTED. The question then becomes HOW?

As the BBC plan their Socialist revival revolution (circa 1917) its NOT all going to plan. This week in the Daily Mail (Wed 29th) I am happy to report than the BBC have agreed to pay out £50,000 to Mark Killock the BBC PANORAMA whistleblower who first reported that BBC ‘PANORAM’ was all false – and which was portrayed as FACT by the BBC as a ‘news scoop’. The BBC had always DENIED it was until— (proved to be TOTALLY false!)**. i.e. the BBC lied.

Last year the BBC had to pay out £1.5 million to a charity selected by the Royal Family on fallout from The Martin Bashir scandal.

BBC payout to man who blew whistle to Bashir.
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10961677/BBC-pays-significant-sum-Panorama-whistleblower-sacked-Diana-interview.html

** Last year the BBC admitted it HAD empolyed a FORGER to create a false document that BASHIR had used… That cost them a cool £1,000,000 for trying to cover it up…

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10072329/Martin-Bashir-scandal-BBC-agrees-payout-1million-graphic-designer-blew-whistle.html

I would add that Bashir was (is still on full pension?) with FULL BBC pay and was moved ‘elsewhere’ somewhere in the BBC network. The BBC elite bull-shitters paid by the TV license fee.

And another blow to BBC credibility as if it has any left following the allegations of SAVILLE and co-conspirators.

The BBC allegations against Cliff Richard (another BBC payout) cost the BBC another £2,000,000.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7425155/Sir-Cliff-Richard-settles-legal-battle-BBC-2million.html

Even better news is that the BBC “top” presenters (you must be joking) rats are leaving the sinking ship… “Top” names such as: Derbyshire (non-sense), Walker (given up), Maitlis (pariah), Marr (total plonker) all hope Greener dreams on LBC or Channel 4.

Interesting segment on GBN with Brazier. A local councillor in Dungeness (Kent) has been filming migrants walking up the beach at the crack of sunrise. She followed all the young men as there were lined up – rescued by an official boat ! and asked why they are here. One said “I don’t speak English” and she said “yes you do, you’ve just replied in English”.

At interview she said that many volunteers are filming this invasion because the msm just concentrate on Dover, and have no idea what’s happening further along the coastline. She says its a daily occurrence they pitch up on the beach then disappear into the countryside. I’ve heard its the same at Ramsgate – the nearest point to France, but filming is never done there either.

If 50,000 are here by illegal means, then there must be another 25,000 who have not been calculated into the official figures.

Jim’ll FIX IT for Brian ….

Professor Brian Cox fulfils a childhood dream by going behind the scenes at Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), mission control for Mars 2020 – one of the most ambitious missions ever launched that may finally reveal if life ever existed on the red planet.

In 1980, a young Brian Cox wrote to JPL asking for photos from some of their missions to the planets. The pictures they sent him from Voyager and the Viking mission to Mars were a source of inspiration that set him on the path to becoming a physicist.

Now, over 40 years later, he has been granted privileged access to JPL, including key mission areas that are usually off-limits to film crews. Brian spends a week following the team who guide the Perseverance rover and the Ingenuity helicopter – the first powered aircraft ever sent to another planet – across the surface of Mars during a critical stage of the mission.

Perseverance’s goal is to search for signs of long extinct life on the surface of Mars in an area called Jezero Crater, which, 3.8 billion years ago, was filled by a vast lake. If it finds evidence of that life, it could change everything we know about life in the universe – and even transform our understanding of our own origins.

File On 4: Ukraine, the Disinformation War
    BBC Radio 4, 31 May 2022

The programme referred to events in Bucha and a thread on Twitter by Dr Justin Schlosberg, a Reader in Journalism and Media at Birkbeck, University of London.

File On 4 explained that the Kremlin has denied that there was a massacre in Bucha and is insisting images of dead bodies in the streets were made after Russian troops withdrew from the city. A video by the Mayor of Bucha celebrating the Russian departure from Bucha was tweeted by a RT (Russia Today) journalist, who noted that the Mayor had said ‘not a word about “massacre”’, and then claimed civilians had probably been killed by the Ukrainian defenders, saying: ‘Judging by this, Kiev is amping up its’ game of fakes to get more ammo and to get Nato involved on the ground in the open.’

Dr Schlosberg tweeted: ‘So lets talk about Bucha.. Russian troops left on 30th March. No mention of any ‘massacre’ or bodies lining the streets for 4 days…’

He linked to the RT post and commented: ‘No mention in a video uploaded by Bucha’s mayor on 31st March in which he celebrates liberation..’

File On 4 said: ‘Dr Schlosberg highlighted this in his tweet. How could the Mayor have failed to refer to such an atrocity – surely something’s up?’

We wish to make clear that this last sentence was not a direct quote from Dr Schlosberg but the presenter’s summary of the sentiments he expressed in his Tweets. We are sorry this was not clearer.

Dr Schlosberg says the idea that he was pushing a particular Kremlin narrative with his thread is absurd; that he went on Twitter because it wasn’t clear what was going on in Bucha and that it was right to apply due caution and not to draw foregone conclusions about what happened there until there had been an authoritative investigation by the UN.

We agree that it would have been helpful to the audience to have included these specific points to aid their understanding of Dr Schlosberg’s reasons for posting in the way that he did. We are sorry that we did not.

In fact Sir Antony Gormley is not giving up his British nationality and has asked us to make clear the circumstances behind his application for a German passport.

Sir Antony holds dual nationality as a result of having a German mother and has decided to apply for a German passport, which he will hold alongside his British one.

In a statement he says he remains a proud British citizen and is grateful for the extraordinary support he has received from so many people and institutions across the UK but he is also keen to retain his links with and continue to show his work in Europe.

I was looking through some old paper memorabilia earlier today and found this, from the first inside page of the Radio Times dated 14-20 March 2015.

    VIEWPOINT

    BBC Director-General, Tony Hall

    It’ll cost you.

Everyone must pay for the BBC, says Tony Hall.

    “… … … …

Last week a committee of influential MPs said that the licence fee should cover catch-up television, and perhaps eventually, become a household levy. We’ve always said that the licence fee should be updated. I believe we need a licence fee, in whatever form, that provides a universal service for a universal fee.

The case for the BBC doesn’t rest on ideological arguments. It rests on us making great programmes and services. … … …

Since this Royal Charter began back in 2007 we reach more people, people’s trust has gone up, and their view of our quality has gone up too.

So I’m heartened those same MPs supported another ten-year Charter, as it is essential for our editorial independence. They support our record on efficiency and we’ll keep on delivering even better value. … …

Where the internet is making information easier to find but harder to trust, you need to have a trusted source readily to hand to find out what’s really happening. Somewhere that is affordable and accessible.

The BBC is the most-shared news source on Twitter because our voice is free from commercial or political allegiances, answering only to the audience, not to shareholders, advertisers or paymasters.

    … … … … …
The BBC stands at a crossroads. Down one path lies a BBC reduced in impact and reach in a world of global giants; a BBC sleepwalking into decay, leaving Britain diminished and dominated by global gatekeepers, partial news and American taste-makers.

Down the other path is a strong BBC helping to bind the country, a British creative beacon to the world, an internet-first BBC that belongs to everyone and where everyone belongs.
It’s important these choices aren’t left to politicians in isolation. … … …”

I won’t do a critical analysis of this text because it would be long and tedious. People can draw their own conclusions. I’ll just say this: Tony Hall was either seriously delusional or a shameless liar.

I manfully stuck with Sherwood, BBCs awful six episode drama, that dealt with a series of crossbow attacks in a former mining village in Nottinghamshire. Mind you, it was bloody hard going…

You’re never very far from lefty propaganda with a BBC drama and this one was no different.

There were endless flashbacks to the mid eighties miners strike and numerous references to evil Tories and brutal police. At the end I checked the credits just to make sure it hadn’t been written by Arthur Scargill.

I think the real low point was the introduction of Lyndsay Duncan (still quite tasty!). Ostensibly her character was there to advise the police on former underground activities used by the force when dealing with political agitators. This was just camouflage. She was really introduced to give us a ten minute lecture about the evils of Mrs Thatcher, the Tories and their henchmen in the Met’.

“These officers used their friendship with the women of these groups to get information.” Well, yes, that was their job…
“They formed relationships, had sex and children were born.” True. Not nice, but…
It was her next comment that knocked me sideways, “This was nothing less than state sponsored rape.”

For the love of God, get a bleedin’ grip. No-one held these women down and forced themselves on them. The women were grown ups and willing participants. They were certainly lied to and misled, but this was NEVER rape.

I wonder if in forty years or so the BBC will be making dramas about the Rotherham and Rochdale Muzzie grooming gang rapists. Suddenly a new character will be introduced. She’ll say something like, “These were little girls, they should have been protected. The police, their teachers, social services, the media and politicians all turned a blind eye. They were all too cowardly.”

    Somehow I don’t think so…

The other night I found a TV programme on the BBC that sounded worth watching. This is most unusual because once all the woke-infested stuff has been eliminated there isn’t usually much left. But anyway this was a programme about the unexpected collapse of a large building in the US some time ago. The blurb suggested that the programme would examine the technical reasons for the building’s failure. It didn’t seem likely that such a factual programme could be ruined by exhortations to go veggie to save the planet, or that the presenter would be an amateur transvestite, or that somehow they’d work ‘correct pronouns’ into it. I decided to risk it so I set the PRV. But when I settled down to watch it the damned thing wasn’t on! Instead there was extra Wimbledon! They could have shuffled the prog onto another channel (even the ludicrous BBC 3 could have paused its half-baked schedule for an hour); they could have announced when it would be rescheduled. But no, nothing. So that’s another day when I pay for a TV licence and get nothing in return.
So this afternoon I needed some radio because I was performing a mindless task. In a fit of madness I tuned into Radio Four. Oh, it was ‘Inside Science’ which used to be rather good. I missed the first half, but the bit I heard was — have you guessed it? — all about how we can save the planet by choosing what we eat on the basis of how much CO2 was generated to produce it. What an utterly ludicrous concept! Normal people are going to choose on the basis of price, health, and personal taste. Apart from the fundamental absurdity of it, how are we supposed to know about the CO2? Ah, the presenter had the answer to that. All food should be labelled with its ‘CO2 cost’. By law. Needless to say the item was also a promotion of vegetarianism, with the ‘CO2 cost’ of steak raising cries of horror from the presenter. Well, they can get lost. The effect this item had on me was to add rib eye to my shopping list. I’m not having these swivel eyes buggers telling me what I can and can’t eat.
That’s where I should have turned off. But I didn’t. PM came on. To summarise the items therein: all about correct woke pronouns, the evils of fracking, gas boilers bad; heat pumps good (“You have to run the heat pump all time, so the temperature doesn’t vary.” In other words the house never gets warm enough), and then a piece on major and minor musical scales, which was just a rip-off of Bill Bailey’s well-known set on the subject.
I had 70 minutes of Radio Four and almost every moment of it was an attempt to ‘nudge’ the audience towards a greener, woker, more lefty lifestyle.

Funny Fred – bbc 4 put on a straight documentary about the origins of UK nuclear weapons . I tried to see what year it was but I reckon 10 years or more ago .

I never knew getting nuclear submarines was dependent on the US getting a base near Glasgow …

The documentary showed the dumbed down decline of the BBC – today it would have been ‘fronted ‘ by Clive or Huw or a coloured female ex footballer …
