Off to the pub and my Latin is not up to that ‘who judges The BBC?’, but… quelle surprise.

    https://order-order.com/2020/06/15/bbc-impartiality-advisers-ultra-partisan-anti-boris-anti-brexit-tweets/

Next we’ll be finding their fact checkers are actually misinformers.

Mrs Voter, just read a piece from somewhere out to me. Steve Wright of BBC radio fame has left the station. Apparently his boss told him they would be changing his programme. He’s only been doing it for 20 years, he must have been doing something right. Probably got Claire Balding and Stephen Fry lined up to do his job, with the occasional sports piece by Kelly Holmes.

“American basketball star Brittney Griner has gone on trial in Russia on charges of illegal cannabis possession.”

“If convicted, the 31-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison.

The US says she is being wrongfully held and should be freed. Russia denies that her detention is motivated by US-Russia tensions over the Ukraine war.

Ms Griner was detained on 17 February at a Moscow-area airport after cannabis oil was allegedly found in her luggage.

On the eve of her trial, Ms Griner’s wife Cherelle Griner, told CNN the Biden’s administration had not done enough to bring her partner home.”

The more I see of Russia the more I like!
Non of this new world order legalising cannabis malarkey, seeing it as a useful chemical cosh to neuter the population.
In this case it’s used as cheating, performance-enhancing drug, a pain killer enabling athletes to train harder.

Yes, the Halifax. I can only assume that the high-ups in every organisation in this country have been jabbed with some Woke -type virus that disables rational thought. I hope their customers and the customers of all of these companies take their business elsewhere. Sadly, I think that this onslaught will only get worse. Who needs the Taliban or 1984 when we’ve already got it. Still, we soldier on and fight it, that’s all you can do.

The general principle these days is double standard in law
    that righties get hard justice
…. and lefties get soft justice

    So two cases in Canada
#1 Jordan Peterson is unable to tweet
cos on June 22nd he tweeted about the doctor of someone who now identifies as male
“the doctor cut off HER breasts”
The Twitter police sat on that for one week and then locked Peterson’s account
Apparently on the grounds JP has dome a hate crime against trans cos he failed to say “the doctor cut off HIS breasts”

#2 Similarly Tamara Lich who organised the Trucker Protest crowdfunding was seized by police one week after she attended an awards ceremony that had been approved by her bail judge.
The grounds seem to be that her original bail terms which said she was not allowed to have contact with fellow activist Tom unless her counsel was present.
And video shows when she got the award and walked back to the stage past his table she spoke about 5 words to him.
And there group photos with him and her.
Her counselors were at the event with her.
It seems she will remain in jail until her original court date on July 5th

Likewise I fear there is a good chance that Alex Belfield will be stitched up at his trial over the next 5 weeks.
He has not raped or molested anyone or barged into their home, rather he is accused of causing fear in the minds of complainants. Seemingly he never initiated the communications but felt he was responding to them making false accusations against him.

The double standard is that a police officers are allowed to make a “mistake” in illegally extending his bail or smashing their way into his house
but when he mocks them back, for doing that, that is counted as fear inducing harassment.

Belfield seems unlikely to go quietly.

He’s going to need some luck + legal skill + £££££

        – it’s going to be worth following, that’s for certain.

I haven’t looked closely at the trial – there’s a jury ? = I’d wager that some effort has been put in to jury selection, given the other antics he’s had to endure.

It seems to me that anti-Trudeau protesters [planned to use this Canada Day weekend as a focus .. So Trudeau is doing pre-emptive action to dampen things down.

Ukraine demands the seizure of Russian-flagged grain ship off Turkey
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-62010113

    125721560-zhibek-zholy-ship-master.jpg

‘We’ve monitored the Russian-flagged ship, the Zhibek Zholy, on its route from the Ukrainian port of Berdyansk to the Turkish port of Karasu.
It is not clear where its cargo came from or how it was obtained, but Russia has been accused of stealing grain from areas of Ukraine it controls – allegations Russia denies.

News of the ship’s departure from Berdyansk was announced on social media app Telegram by Yevhen Balytskyi, who was recently appointed by Russia as governor of the occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia.

Mr Balytskyi said 7,000 tonnes of grain would be sent to “friendly” countries. ‘

It’s not clear where the grain is from…
    but Russia is guiltily anyway😃
I don’t see the problem, if grain is finally getting to the worlds markets, all well and good,
Ukraine doesn’t need the money anyway, with all the international welfare cheques they’re getting.

It’s nothing really – but there is a story on the twitter about how someone ordered a 9 inch pizza but got2x5 inch pizzas instead as they’d run out of the 9” jobs .

The delivee explained using geometry that the area of a circle has something to do with a pie and that x2 5” pizzas have a much smaller area than a 9 “ one .

People are still too well off if they can afford pizza delivery and this must be banned …

    PS
I’ve noticed that our “Halifax “ hasn’t posted for a while —- I wonder if he is coming back as ‘nationwide ‘?

I see that the bacon, lettuce and tomato brigade have demanded that no uniformed plod attend their march/parade or whatever it is. Yet another group demanding exemption from laws that apply to the rest of us. We already live in a country that blind-eyes ethnic crime. Anarchy.

His last remaining listener – a Mrs wright – says she is devastated and fears that he might do something stupid like get a Job on Classic FM ….

BBC local news : the preachy bits

#1 “Here we are live at the first LGBT Pride event in bridlington”

#2 Here we are with a little boy little picking on Cleethorpes beach
‘” Yes it’ all the people dropping plastic, and then end up killing the whales

I don’t think the absence of whales off Cleethorpes beach i due to plastic litter.

They started with a piece with the regional rep of the doctors unions
Brian McGregor. @blmdh1 kept claiming the evil Tories are privatising the NHS
      .. That’s a ridiculous Marxist claim.
GPs have always been private businesses as are dentist

It would be reasonable to say that the NHS seem to have a policy to bring in more specialists contractors eg like Virgin Health care to remove skin growths etc..
but to use the “privatisation” word for that i going too far.

The medical mafia keeps the pool of talent shallow so that NHS / private remains extremely lucrative … .. its all about avoiding liability and maximising profit ..dressed up as ‘patient care ‘

Stew, Labour started to privatise bits of the NHS around 2008/9. The private share of other than GP & dental practices in the NHS went from 5% to 7%+. When Labour lost the GE and the dust had settled over forming the next Government, Labour had the cheek to accuse the Conservative Party in Coalition Government of privatising the NHS.

Ken Bruce must be pissing his pants now. I hope he has a plan. He’s the only one I listen to these days cos he is actually witty. Then it’s goodbye to bbc radio for me.

They’ve already said, Scot mills from R1. Boring and younger so will attract a few younger women. He does cover for Ken sometimes. An example of how boring/unimaginative he is – does catchup – recorded bits of his show, during his show 🙄
