Ukraine war: Drone attack targets Russian Black Sea fleet in Crimea

Every time you read a specifically worded headline like that on the BBC and it’s just a bit odd, it’s ALWAYS because they are trying to mislead you.

The drone didn’t attack anything. It was shot down. And going by the smoke where it landed, it wasn’t carrying explosives.

Our National, unbiased, tax-payer funded news organisation and I don’t believe a single word they say until I verify it on the internet. Everything is warped by their own agenda.

I would never have believed it could get this bad.

There was a drone and the Russians said . “It fell on the roof of the headquarters,”
video shows a large plume of smoke from the zone of the HQ

If we said a drone ended up on the roof of the Houses of parliament and there was a massive plume of smoke
Wouldn’t we say that was an attack ?
The Crimea has been under attack
eg aircraft on the ground there were recently destroyed

“‘Ditch the licence!’ Naga Munchetty slammed by BBC viewers over ‘bias’ Mick Lynch probe
NAGA MUNCHETTY has been criticised by BBC Breakfast viewers over her interview with union boss Mick Lynch.

Mick Lynch spoke to Naga Munchetty on BBC Breakfast as industrial action on the rail network continued on Saturday. However, the grilling was criticised by some BBC viewers who felt Munchetty failed to press Mr Lynch when he “avoided answering questions” and compared the interview to instances when Munchetty and her co-host Charlie Stayt clashed with Tory MPs.”

BBC Breakfast viewers weren’t happy with the interview and took to Twitter to complain.

@GaryHay54193354 tweeted: “@BBCBreakfast journalists don’t challenge anything that #MickLynch says, but Charlie and Naga are like a Rottweiler when it’s a member of the government.”

@IanTipton8 quipped: “@BBCBreakfast What a difference between Charlie’s interview with Grant Shapps yesterday and Naga’s with Mick Lynch this morning.

“Charlie was aggressive, kept interrupting and at times rude. Naga didn’t interrupt once and didn’t press him on any point. Terrible bias.”

“@BBCBreakfast Naga fails to put Mick Lynch under pressure unlike her interviews with politicians, is this a demonstration of her own views or BBC dictat. Mick Lynch like politicians avoided answering questions,” @totting17216039 remarked.

In the UK, polygamous marriages – where a person has more than one spouse – are only recognised if they took place in countries where they are legal.

However, no UK laws stop unregistered religious ceremonies taking place.

‘I’m pissed off every morning I wake up, because we handed this president the most secure border in my lifetime. We worked hard with President Trump to get illegal immigration to an all-time low. This is the first president in the history of this nation who came into office and intentionally unsecured the border and he caused such a surge. It’s already 2 million this year. It’s overwhelmed the Border Patrol, up to 70% of Border Patrol agents have been pulled off the line. What’s that resulted in? It’s resulted in huge amounts of fentanyl coming across the border that are killing U.S. Americans — over 100,000. It has caused known, suspected terrorists to be arrested and 900,000 got-aways. Who knows how many of them are known, suspected terrorists? It is killing migrants.

They’re inhumane. They’re killing people. When President Trump had illegal immigration down 83%, when it was at a 40-year low, how many Americans weren’t dying of fentanyl? How many migrants weren’t dying? How many? How many millions of dollars were the cartels not making? How many known, suspected terrorists weren’t making it across the border? This president — what he’s done is almost treasonous, and every day I wake up, I’m upset. “

    BBC One, 4 June 2022, 10.30pm

We reported that the acclaimed British sculptor Sir Antony Gormley is to become a German citizen. We said he was giving up his British passport because of the UK’s decision to leave the European Union and that he had described the move as embarrassing and had plans for new sculptures that would reflect his view.

In fact Sir Antony Gormley is not giving up his British nationality and has asked us to make clear the circumstances behind his application for a German passport.

Sir Antony holds dual nationality as a result of having a German mother and has decided to apply for a German passport, which he will hold alongside his British one.

In a statement he says he remains a proud British citizen and is grateful for the extraordinary support he has received from so many people and institutions across the UK but he is also keen to retain his links with and continue to show his work in Europe.

    We apologise for the mistake.

On the Welsh regional page of the Beeb’s webshite today, there’s a reasonably interesting article about a 1,000 year-old map of the U.K. depicting two islands off the Ceredigion coast that no longer exist but could be connected to the legend of Cantre’r Gwaelod – a lost land supposedly sunken below Cardigan Bay.

As I said it’s interesting enough – however the article is completely ruined by its needless last sentence: “With rising sea levels and more intense storms it’s been suggested that people living around Cardigan Bay could become some of Britain’s first climate change refugees, within our lifetimes.”

Must be worrying for the BBC for any adverse comment by a leading British politician . For so long they’ve been immune from challenge or criticism .

Very few describe the techniques the BBC uses – for instance John Redwood sometimes describes pre interview discussions about content and then finds his interview ‘cancelled ‘- or going on to talk about one subject but then getting ambushed .

There must be a price for this . Politicians deserve to be called to explain but I’d submit that too often it is more of an attack then an interview .

Liz truss might as well tell it how it is because we already have the bbc in full anti mode . When she takes the office they will switch to ‘election ‘ mode along with their Red Labour friends …

But religious groups are like all other groups: they often fall short of the very ideals and doctrines they preach. I wonder whether these programmes will show the faults of Muslims as well as their considerable virtues? The BBC has a long history of subjecting Christianity to severe criticism. Will Islam receive the same treatment? I doubt it – because the BBC has an even longer history of defending ethnic and religious minorities against what it regards as the prejudiced majority.

Everyone is terrified of being damned as “racist”, and so criticisms of ethnic minorities tend to get suppressed out of an entirely understandable fear of being condemned or even brought before the law. The BBC won’t say a word this week against some of those who practise Islam. This is a pity because certain criticisms need to be made. Why, for example, are the Muslim Taliban in Afghanistan threatening to execute foreign aid workers whom they accuse of preaching Christianity? Why, even as I write, has the government of Pakistan expelled eight aid workers for the same alleged “crime”? Imagine the outcry from the BBC if this sort of religious prejudice were ever to be perpetrated by Christians in England.

Well that is the wrong thing to do.

Though I don’t support such polls, cos Twitter is full of bots.
The pic could be a photoshop but I see no evidence of that.

Thomas Evans says GBnews were right to delete the poll
“A pro-Remain, anti-GB News account with a massive following on Facebook literally encouraged his echo-chamber to pile-on, on the poll.
      That shifted it’s results”

Polls are to sway opinion – not measure it. Keep polling until you get the result you want – see EU for more details.

          Polls, darn polls, and…

A poll reported by the Daily Mail claimed 91% of drivers back cyclist number plates. But the results can’t be said to be representative of the views of drivers in general.

Now did his side use bots or sheer numbers ?
He managed to get about 4,000 votes
yet his Facebook posts about the item only got 50 participants

His posts were not Liked by 4,000 Facebook accounts

Two listeners complained that this gave a misleading impression of the scale of Palestinian displacement and the extent to which it was the result of coercion. The complaint was partly upheld.

As thousands of athletes prepare to compete on the global stage at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Olympic gold medallist and double world champion diver Tom Daley wants to shine a light on an issue that he cares passionately about. Some competitors live in fear of horrific brutality inside the countries they represent. With punishments including whipping, life imprisonment and even death, it is illegal to be gay in over half of the 56 member states of the Commonwealth.

I am watching the Newcastle-Manchester City on Sky Sports.
The BBC must be so jealous of Sky, ITV , BT and all the
other commercial stations that give us adverts. It’s half
time and 100% of the adverts feature mixed race families,
black men shaving, black women driving etc etc etc. You
have got to feel sorry for the BBC.
So far as the adverts are concerned do the advertising agencies
and the companies they produce adverts really think that
near to 90% of the UK population are “influenced” by these
adverts? But maybe the companies are gearing the adverts
towards the 3% black audience? Or do they
really think that woke” virtue signalling” sells products?
