The “cartoon” in the Guardian ,just about sums up the
Guardian and its mentor the BBC. Mel Phillips left
the Guardian after she was cold shouldered by all a
sundry at the Guardian. When she defended the State of
    Israel.
All I would say is that Julius Streicher the publisher of the
German newspaper ” Der Stuermer” would of
been proud to have associated himself with Martin Rowson the Guardian
cartoonist. If you don’t know who Julius Streicher was . Just
google him. Or the Nuremburg war trials.

I love this time of the year. If we have the weather then there’s no better place to be than England in April and May.

Unfortunately, we’re forever being bombarded by negative conspiracies, that make the sunniest morning a reason of concern. They show maps daubed in crimson and warnings of ” RECORD TEMPERATURES”. If we’re really lucky they’ll interview Greta or some hysteric from Insult Britain…or whatever they’re called…

I was thinking about this whole sham of “the climate catastrophe” this morning as I gave my young puppy his morning constitutional.
It was glorious. The fields were alive with dandelions. A few weeks ago it had been cowslips and primrose that cheered the heart and in week or so it will be the golden buttercups and the frothy cow parsley. Beautiful.

But if you listened too long to the BBC and Sky News you would think that we were on the eve of destruction. These pitiful propagandists can make a beautiful spring morning seen like Armageddon.

I always think of Browning’s lovely celebration of his home country at this time of the year; Home Thoughts from Abroad. It’s the one that begins, “Oh, to be in England, now that April’s there.”

He must have been writing this close to the 1850s and he mentions all the glories of a spring walk in England, enjoying the “blossomed pear tree in the hedge”, the buttercups and the chaffinch singing on the orchard bough They’re all still there, nothing has changed…But if you only listened to the BBC…

In an hour or so I’ll pack a flask and my young pup and I will go to the allotment. I don’t tend to overdo things these days, so there’s lots of rests…and we’ll sit in the shade of my blossomed pear tree and enjoy the chaffinches. I’ll probably have a doze and he’ll chase after squirrels.

    Have a lovely Bank Holiday…

The weather is following the pattern of the 1950s which was a dire Summer, and we can expect the loons to tell us that global temperatures have again risen, and who is able to counter these lies?
We know the temperatures in these countries are not really rising because the people who live there tell us so. It’s so bad in England, everything is about two weeks behind where it normally should be and yet the Met office is claiming over a full 1 deg C above normal which is preposterous!

Thoughtful – I reckon in time to come – long after we are gone in our current form – better informed people will look back at our time and compare us ( sorry the ‘experts “) to those seeing the world being flat…

I just read out loud Thoughtful, about the Met Office claiming temperatures above 1 degree Celsius above normal. 2020 March was T-shirt weather. Mr D said something unprintable. I also remember the day in early May that devil incarnate Tony Blair won his first general election, it was so hot it was uncomfortable to walk outside. It doesn’t look as if this year I will be shedding the thermals or turning off the heating any time soon.

Jeff, I used to love sunny days in February when you could open the windows for the first time after winter and let a warm breeze clear the accumulation of indoor fog. Doesn’t seem to happen any more since we had Global Warming and Climate Change.

“We” the people of GB care more about the open borders and the invasion going on the coast now! This Tory Government needs to wise up and smell the coffee !

I (like a lot of other people) wonder what TC is up to.

It’d be fun if he sidestepped the corporate media.

This demonstrates he’s over the target:

Accepting Trump (and predecessors… the media was simply less prone to share up to then) was not exactly statesmanlike, he really comes across as a petulant remedial kindergartener.

And that idiot Harris giggles on.

Awkward? They are deluded psychos propped up by a bubble. Not a great mix.

        He mentions Singapore.

TCS gave a glimpse of what the BBC was fast becoming decades ago. Now MediaCorp.

Hand in hand with Singapore Press Holdings.

Content as entertaining as a flat tire on the M8 in winter or drama that makes Bill and Ben seem like Brideshead Revisited and ‘news’ that is… laughable.

There was and is a lot to admire and enjoy in Singapore, but do not be a person with an opposing view, or opinion… the state media will crush you before the Govt. has woken up.

The US President celebrating this is more than a concern.

Dear Winston Smith in the Records Department of the Ministry of Truth,

You covered President Trump’s 100 Days and then produced a Beyond 100 Days to hold power to account.

Why have you not done the same for President Biden to hold power to account?

It looks like King Charles will have his way over being a defender of faith and all. Combining tradition and diversity.
    ————————
‘In a coronation full of firsts, female clergy will play a prominent role, and the King himself will pray out loud.

The Christian service will also see religious leaders from other faiths have an active part for the first time.’
    —————–
Looks like Charles will be a politically active monarch, which brings me to a thought I had when he was a child. Why did his mother name him Charles? Perhaps to prepare a future King who would be politically active, like the other Charles, one who would confront Governments and Parliament. Perhaps Elizabeth, who was destined to be non political had plans for the future monarch.

Charles probably doesn’t know which day it is without advice.

Prince Charles lobbied ministers to change public spending plans in favour of complementary and homeopathic medicine and other often contentious pet causes in a series of demands revealed in a new batch of his secret letters.

The publication of 17 “black spider memos” on Thursday, following a 10-year freedom of information battle by the Guardian, revealed that the prince called for the NHS to reverse cuts to spending on homeopathy and conduct a trial of complementary medicine in England.

The latest press release from the Ukrainian government – this time it claims thar russian soldiers fished in a cooling channel at a nuclear power station and now have radiation sickness –

    – this is published as news in the daily mail …

.. a couple of days ago they had anthrax after digging a trench in a field used to bury dead cows …

    • Dickie says:

      Lifted from The Jerusalem Post:

“The United States is wiring Ukraine with sensors that hold the capability to detect radiation bursts – whether that be from a dirty bomb or from a nuclear weapon, according to a Friday report from the New York Times.

The sensors will also reportedly be able to identify the attacker that had used such a weapon in any scenario.

Ukraine plans to use the sensors to find that if, in Ukrainian territory, a radioactive weapon is detonated by Russia, “its atomic signature could be verified,” the report states.

Ukraine is collaborating with the Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST), a unit of atomic experts run by the National Nuclear Security Administration, in order to deploy the radiation sensors. NEST will also be assisting in training personnel and monitoring data. ”

Nothing to do with the depleted uranium Challenger tank munitions which were provided to Ukraine then.

According to Bloomberg News in 2016, “The encyclopedia’s reliance on outside sources, primarily newspapers, means it will be only as diverse as the rest of the media—which is to say, not very.”[19] According to Haaretz in 2018, “Wikipedia has succeeded in being accused of being both too liberal and too conservative, and has critics from across the spectrum”, while also noting that Wikipedia is “usually accused of being too liberal.”[20]

Among other criticisms, Sanger has been vocal in his view that Wikipedia’s articles present a left-wing and liberal or “establishment point of view”.
